The limited series, based on the film franchise written and directed by Malcolm D. Lee, will premiere on Peacock on Thursday (Dec. 22).
Fans of The Best Man will get a chance to catch up with the lives of Harper (Diggs), Robyn (Lathan), Jordan (Long), Lance (Chestnut), Quentin (Howard), Shelby (De Sousa), Candace (Hall) and “Murch” (Perrineau) in the spinoff series developed, written and executive produced by Lee and Dayna Lynn North.
Although one familiar face will be missing from the show (Monica Calhoun’s character died from cancer in the 2013 sequel), the series will introduce new characters played by Yvonna Pearson, Sinorice Moss, Aaron Serotsky, Nicole Ari Parker, Terrence Terrell, Michael Genet, Tobias Truvillion, Eric Scott Ways, Ron Canada and Brandon Victor Dixon.

How to Watch 1923 on Paramount+
1923 is expected to drop on Sunday at midnight PT (3:00 a.m. ET) for Paramount+ subscribers in the U.S. and Canada. The show will debut on Monday, Dec. 19, for subscribers in the U.K. and Australia.

For his latest Jordan sneaker collab, the 31-year-old rapper maintains the classic Air Jordan 1 Low design “while staying true to his love of vintage style.” The black suede shoe features a backwards swoosh with crisp white stitching and a Cactus Jack logo on the tongue.
Another unique touch: A small beetle stitched on the left heel of the shoe symbolizing “progress, stability, love and nature,” according to the Nike description.
Scott’s Air Jordan 1 Low “Black Phantom” retail price for $150 on the SNKRS app. If you missed out but don’t mind paying more out of pocket, the sold-out sneaker is available on resell sites like StockX, Fight Club and Goat.
In addition to the new sneaker, Scott collaborated with Nike on a sold-out apparel collection. The limited collection, priced from $45-$150, includes black and green hoodies, matching cargo pants and shorts — all featuring premium embroidered graphics.
The Jordan Brand x Travis Scott collection also includes a T-shirt designed with a stylized graphic of Cactus Jack superimposed over a photo of Michael Jordan, stretch-knit shorts that feel like suede, along with two pairs of cargo pants (in black and green) made from a light, durable cotton ripstop and loaded up with lots of pockets.

Thankfully, there are a few different retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart that have PS5 consoles available right now, while others — including GameStop — are out of stock but could be restocking before the new year.
To make your search easier, we put together a list of a few places where you can purchase a PS5 online. PS5 consoles can run you anywhere from the current $500 list price up to $1,200. Keep reading for more details, links and pricing information.

PS5 consoles restocks tend to sell out extremely fast at Amazon (and everywhere else, to be honest). For gamers who have been waiting to snag a console for $500 (or $549.99 for the Horizon Forbidden bundle), Amazon is offering customers an option to sign up for a chance to buy a PS5 at the regular retail price. The newest wave of invites were sent to qualifying customers starting on Monday (Dec. 12). Click here to request an invitation.

Unfortunately, the invite-only option doesn’t guarantee that you will secure the console, as not all requests will be granted. However, exclusive offers allow Amazon to ensure that as many “genuine customers as possible” can buy an item that is in high-demand. If you are selected to purchase, you will receive an email when the PS5 is available. For those who don’t want to go that route, there are other PS5 consoles available on Amazon, but they’re usually marked up above the list price.

Best Buy sold out of the PS5 consoles but the God of War Ragnarok PS5 bundle ($559.99) is available for in-store pickup. The bundle is expected to sell out soon, so you’ll have to act fast to get your hands on one. The digital bundle is $459.99 and also in high demand.
Walmart launched a members-only PS5 restock back in February, and it sold out within hours, which means the price went right back up. On the plus side, you can currently find a PS5 console at Walmart for less than $700.

When restocks sell out, PS5 consoles can cost hundreds more than you would usually pay. Because there are no regular-priced PS5s at Best Buy and other retailers, we searched for some of the cheaper options. Stock X, for example, has consoles for around $577 and up, which is a bit less than on some of the other websites. Ebay is another resource for PS5 consoles for $550 and up.

If you’re comfortable with high price points, Daily Steals has a PS5 with an extra controller for $1,043.99 and QVC has a PS5 available for $829.

Elvis snagged three Golden Globe nominations on Monday (Dec. 12), including a best actor nod for the film’s star, Austin Butler.
The Baz Lurhmann-directed biopic received Golden Globe nominations for best picture and best director as well. The 80th annual Golden Globe Awards are scheduled to air Jan. 10, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
Elvis Presley’s story will head back to the big screen in a forthcoming Sofia Coppola-directed biopic centered on his wife Priscilla Presley, with Jacob Elordi taking on the role of the King of Rock and Roll.

Talk of the upcoming film sparked Twitter comparisons to Butler’s role in Elvis, which is now streaming on HBO Max and other platforms. Elvis has became the second-highest-grossing musical biopic at the global box office (third domestically) and director Baz Lurhmann’s top-grossing film in the U.S. and Canada.

Butler stars alongside Tom Hanks, Olivia DeJonge, Dacre Montgomery and David Wenham in the film chronicling Presley’s story as told through the eyes of a complex relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Hanks).
Presley died one day before he was slated to start a new tour. The 42-year-old singer was found unresponsive on the bathroom floor of his Graceland mansion on Aug. 16, 1977. This year marked the 45th anniversary of Presley’s death.
Aside from the complicated dynamic between Presley (Butler) and Parker, Elvis explores the rock legend’s rise from poverty to unprecedented stardom “against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America.”
Elvis debuted in theaters in June and has grossed over $280 million worldwide. It was later released digitally on Prime Video, Vudu, Google Play and other platforms for $19.99.
