Though Iggy Azalea remains bummed that her 2015 collaboration on “Pretty Girls” with Britney Spears was not all she dreamed it could have been, the Australian rapper said she is still down for whatever when it comes to Brit.
“I have spoken about this before. I just feel like there was so much we wanted to do with it that we never got to… We never got to do all we wanted to do,” Azalea told Andy Cohen on Wednesday night’s (Feb. 22) Watch What Happens Live in response to a caller’s question about whether she has kept in touch with Spears since the singer’s conservatorship ended in Nov. 2021 and if she’d be up for another collaboration.

Whether it was more performances or remixes, Azalea said she thought the song never reached its full potential because Spears was “so limited” at the time. “Now that she has the ability to do it her way 100%… I love Britney and she’s so much more creative than what people give he credit for… I would love to be a part of more of anything that she had to do, especially when they’re 100% her own ideas,” Azalea said.

Azalea also noted that the two have been in touch since the dissolving of Spears’ restrictive conservatorship and that they DM each other on Instagram. “My collaboration with her is always one of my favorite collaborations,” she said of the song that peaked at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100; at the time, Azalea angered some Britney fans when she expressed her frustration with the lack of promotion for the song, tweeting, “its difficult to send a song up the charts without additional promo and tv performances etc. unfortunately im just featured.”

In a supportive tweet in summer 2021, Iggy said she backed then efforts to remove Spears from her 13-year conservatorship, noting that such arrangements should be “illegal” and that during a performance of “Pretty Girls” in 2015 she witnessed the tight control on Spears’ life at the time.

“She is not exaggerating or lying,” Azalea wrote at the time. “I saw her restricted from even the most bizarre & trivial things: like how many sodas she was allowed to drink. Why is that even necessary.” Azalea also claimed that moments before the pair’s Billboard Music Awards performance she was told that if she did not sign a non-disclosure agreement she would not be allowed on stage.

During the “Truth or Touch Up!” segment of the WWHL chat, Iggy daintily sidestepped the question of who the better rapper is between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B while slathering makeup on Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy. But when asked what the weirdest request has been on her OnlyFans account, Azalea laughed and said, “I actually love it. Men pay me to tell them that they’re a piece of s–t!”

The rapper also broke down the sexist quality she looks for in men (“witty banter”), the wildest part of opening for Beyoncé on tour (the excellent catering), the pet peeve that drives her nuts (when her assistant doesn’t strap her clothes down in a suitcase) and the sexiest music video of all time.

BigHit Music unfurled the artwork and complete tracklist for Jimin‘s upcoming debut album, FACE, on Thursday (Feb. 23).

The post on the label’s official Twitter account reveals the project will contain six tracks, including main track “Like Crazy” and pre-release single “Set Me Free Pt. 2,” which will drop March 17. A release promises that the song will find the BTS member exploring “his resolution to free himself from various emotions hidden deep inside him.”

Meanwhile, the studio effort’s metallic cover art features the title depicted beneath ripples on the surface of a body of water. The stark graphic may come across as cryptic upon first glance, but a message on the tracklist poster provides more clues about the reflective themes of Jimin’s solo set: “Circle of Resonance. Reflection of vulnerable minds and unexposed wounds. Face, the reflection of myself in an unfamiliar appearance … Face of facing the deepest part of inner-self.”

The six-song tracklist also shows off the inner circle of producers and songwriters Jimin enlisted for FACE — from Pdogg, GHSTLOOP and BLVSH to Chris James, EVAN and Supreme Boi. His BTS bandmate RM also helped co-write three tracks on the album, including album opener “Face-off,” “Like Crazy” and its English version.

To go along with the tracklist and cover art, Jimin also released a short video giving ARMY a brief, behind-the-scenes look at the making of FACE. Check out the short clip, complete tracklist and chrome cover art below.

Kylie Jenner is clearing the air after her recent posts raised a few eyebrows. When fans started accusing the makeup mogul of shading Selena Gomez‘s brow shape on Wednesday (Feb. 22), Jenner almost immediately shut it down by commenting on a TikTok about the alleged insult.

“This is reaching,” the Kylie Cosmetics founder wrote. “No shade towards selena ever and I didn’t see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly.”

According to Cosmopolitan, Gomez also chimed in. “Agreed @kyliejenner It’s all unnecessary,” the pop star replied to Jenner’s comment. “I’m a fan of Kylie!”

The overblown brow beef all started when the Only Murders in the Building actress shared that she’d “accidentally laminated my brows too much” in a TikTok story, showing followers how her eyebrow hairs were sticking up a little more than usual. Soon after, Jenner posted a photo of herself with the words “this was an accident???” written unmistakably over her own eyebrows.

Followers thought the text placement was a little suspicious, especially after Jenner followed it up by posting a screenshot of her FaceTiming Hailey Bieber, both models holding their phone cameras up close to their own perfectly plucked eyebrows. Ever since Hailey married Justin Bieber, whom Gomez famously dated on and off for several years, onlookers have generally always been quick to speculate that the two women dislike each other, though they seemingly squashed the gossip by posing for cute photos together at an event in November.

However, hours after commenting on the TikTok that she’s a fan of Jenner’s, the Rare Beauty founder commented “I love you” on another TikTok in which a user candidly slams “nepo babies” Jenner (who is mentioned by name) and Hailey (whose name is hashtagged) for being “mean girls.” So, who knows where everyone really stands?

You can find screenshots of the eyebrow posts and more explanation about the alleged drama in the TikTok Kylie and Selena commented on below:

Barba Streisand is already the proud owner of EGOT status. But the pop icon will add another landmark piece of hardware to her awards shelf in April when she receives an honor named for one of her heroes.

“I am deeply honored to receive this award named after one of the iconic and pathbreaking Justices ever to serve on the Supreme Court,” Streisand wrote in a tweet announcing that she will be the recipient of the 2023 Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Woman of Leadership Award at the Library of Congress on April 22.

A Washington Post story about the award noted that Ginsburg was a huge Streisand fan and that late in her life when she invited her friend philanthropist Julie Opperman to her chambers to discuss establishing an award in her name for women striving to change society in positive ways, Barbra’s name quickly came up.

“She wanted to honor women of great passion and achievement,” Opperman told the paper about the March 2019 conversation that came 18 months before Ginsburg’s death. “She wanted it to be women in the RBG tradition. I’m pleased to say Barbra Streisand was among them.”

“Women everywhere have benefited from the brilliance and courage of the Hon. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg,” Streisand, 80, said in a statement to the Post. “She is an inspiration to us all. She devoted her life to advancing equality and justice, and the world is a better place for it. I am so deeply honored to receive an award in the name of such an extraordinary woman, American hero and an icon to the world.”

Streisand is the fourth recipient of the award, joining arts patron Agnes Gund, fashion designer Diane von Furstenburg and the late Queen Elizabeth II. The singer/actress/director is being recognized for her “advocacy of a variety of causes, including voting rights, climate change research and racial and gender equality,” the paper reported, additionally citing Streisand’s establishment of the Barbra Streisand Women’s Heart Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

“It’s fair to say that for Barbra Streisand, it was shortest deliberation we’ve ever had,” Opperman said.

It’s 9:15 a.m. in Seoul, and most of the nine members of TWICE have just woken up. They’re barefaced, dressed casually and cozily in warm knits and sweatshirts; Chaeyoung still wears her parka hood, her blonde hair peeking out of the bottom. Nayeon, seated next to her, cleans her glasses with her shirt sleeve. Tzuyu, however, is alert and attentive. When I ask (through a translator) who’s the early riser of the group, everyone points to her.
This morning, the women of TWICE look more like students who’ve arrived at an early-morning class than the wildly popular K-pop girl group they are. But for their globe-spanning cohort of fans (known as ONCE), this is a familiar sight. The group’s long-running YouTube reality and vlog show, TWICE TV, along with other online vlog content, have gone behind the scenes with the act since its 2015 debut. Over the past seven-plus years, fans have followed along as Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu (who range in age from 23 to 27) have recorded music; toured across South Korea and Asia; attended award ceremonies; debuted their first-ever English-language single, “The Feels”; and, last year, played and sold out U.S. arenas, a still-rare feat for K-pop artists.
“That was our first time having a concert of that scale, so it was really shocking for us to see so many fans in the U.S.,” says Jihyo, recalling TWICE’s two nights in May 2022 at Los Angeles’ Banc of California Stadium.

Spoiler alert: This story contains information about contestants eliminated on Wednesday’s (Feb. 22) episode of The Masked Singer.
The latest episode of The Masked Singer‘s ninth season had way more drama than viewers saw onscreen Wednesday night. Not only did returning champ Medusa absolutely crush it again on the ABBA-themed night, but Night Owl also flew in and wowed the judges with her killer vocals and moves while rocking “Fernando” after getting the call less than 24 hours earlier to fill in for a sick contestant.

“I literally did the math and I had 16 hours’ notice… so I decided not to overthink it,” the veteran singer, actress, Broadway star and reality competition judge/contestant tells Billboard about the eleventh-hour invite to save the day. The judges had some pretty good ideas about who she was, guessing everyone from Sarah Jessica Parker (Ken Jeong, wrong, wrong, wrong, of course) and Paula Abdul to The Go-Gos’ Belinda Carlisle, Cyndi Lauper or Kylie Minogue.

The Night Owl impressed, but she would have to soar even higher in the Battle Royale showdown with Medusa, during which both had to tackle “The Winner Takes It All.” She put some serious emotion into the ABBA favorite from a vocalist who the clue package told us was a “pop princess OG.”

Well, that was all you needed to know to figure out that panelist Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg was right all along: Night Owl was, indeed, OG pop royalty Debbie Gibson.

Billboard spoke to Gibson before her elimination and found out how her mother’s death inspired her to get in the game, what a 17-year-old Debbie would have thought about her being on a reality singing show, and what fans can expect on her upcoming The Body Remembers Tour.

Had you ever seen the show before you signed up?

I’ve had so many friends on the show — Joey Fatone, Donny Osmond, LeAnn Rimes — and when they called, I ended up filling in for somebody. I knew [someday] I would possibly do the show and that I could say no and properly prepare and do all that and still only last one episode. [But] I decided this would be my moment and this would be my way to do the show and, to quote P!nk, do a trust fall and be rock ‘n’ roll and show up not knowing anything about what I would be doing. I took a flight from New York to Las Vegas and I was on the plane when the call came in, I came home and unpacked and repacked and the driver in the car heard us making arrangements and said he could drive me to L.A. During the ride I got calls from wardrobe and they were like, “How about ‘Fernando?’” I just kept saying yes and laughing because it was so ridiculous.

Were you scared, excited?

I was so amped up and I had no idea how my voice would present itself. It was the one-year anniversary of losing my mom and I was in the Newark airport and I honored my Italian heritage and my mom by having pizza for lunch — I was done singing for the year and wasn’t going to start up again until [my upcoming] tour — so I was a vocalist letting her hair down, having pizza and a Coke, getting on a dry airplane and just crying. Just letting myself so far off the hook and [saying] “whatever happens happens.” I was here to fill a niche because someone fell ill on this multimillion-dollar production and I will be that go-to girl and giggle my way through the day and do my best.

And why the Night Owl?

She is nocturnal and I’m normally in bed with my dogs by 7 p.m. I have a song “Who Loves Ya Baby,” and in that song I wing “Who, who, who loves ya baby?” and that was reason enough to be Night Owl. I pieced it together and the metallic body suit reminded me of my Liberace piano and the Thierry Mugler bodysuit Madonna wore. I was in Beauty and the Beast [on Broadway], and I had this giant dress and wig, and this costume was way heavier because all the weight was on the shoulders.

You’ve done music, acting, Broadway and some reality TV (The Apprentice, Dancing With the Stars, Skating With the Stars), but is it safe to say this was one of the more unusual gigs you’ve had?

That’s what was so fun about it! I’ve made a deal with myself to be super present in this chapter of my life. I’ve been a mentor and a judge on American Juniors. I’ve sat where the judges sat, but in this moment, in this costume, I was thinking every reason I wanted to get into showbiz is happening right now: I’m playing dress-up, there’s a mystery involved, I’m singing and dancing and surprising people. People love the show because it has magic to it and it’s very wholesome. It’s like being a child and playing dress-up. It’s one of the more refreshing gigs I’ve done.

Do you think 17-year-old Debbie would ever imagine you’d be singing ABBA in an owl costume at this juncture in your career?

[Laughs] Coming from the theater, I didn’t rule anything out. Coming from the ’80s pop music scene I didn’t have these kinds of reality shows, so never in my wildest dreams would I think that these shows could be a career game-changer. You have to get over the idea that you have to be a rock star at all times. It’s fun, why not?

Did you want to win though?

I didn’t have time to think about wanting to win. I honestly really wanted to get through the day. I didn’t know how I could stand, let alone sing, at the end of the day coming from the day I had before. When I saw and heard Medusa and her lovely energy, she was just super respectful and we were rooting for each other — I wanted her to have it. Whoever this is has been preparing for a long time.

It felt like Jenny was on to you pretty early, but they also threw out Sarah Jessica Parker, Paula Abdul, Belinda Carlisle, Kylie Minogue and Cyndi Lauper, all of whom are nothing to sneeze at.

I thought the Kylie one was the best, because with Kylie, I do feel like we are separated at birth, like sisters from across the world. I always jokingly say that what the world needs to do is find Carrie Bradshaw’s long-lost sister — Sarah [Jessica Parker] and I are long-lost sisters as well.

I don’t know who Medusa is either, but that Battle Royale on “The Winner Takes It All” was super intense. What was your strategy?

My strategy is always to just be me. I was going to sing that pretty straight ahead and didn’t have time to figure out how I would finesse it. One of the things that always connected me to my audience from the time I was young was I open my mouth and sing and I don’t overthink it. Sing the lyrics, tell the story and open up and let it come out. That’s what I felt like I did.

You announced that you’re going on an encore run of The Body Remembers Tour. Talk to me about the fan reaction to that and what they can expect.

For people who haven’t seen me perform in a long time, I’m a very raw performer and I play for a long time. I get the curfew-time hook a lot, and that’s what I did — I really poured myself out onto the stage — and that’s what I will do again. I released this album [The Body Remembers] a year ago, and I watch contemporaries like Shania Twain and Janet [Jackson], who are on major labels and doing Live Nation tours, and I haven’t done it that way. I’m so specific on how I like to use my energy. I don’t want creative input. I’ve done it my way and I’m so proud of that. This tour is such a reflection of that. It’s nostalgia, you’ve got old and new, and it’s my audience, my generation, and everyone is experiencing a renaissance — people are vital and vibrant at 40-50 — and they want their artists to be like that and to experience that energy in the room.

Paris Hilton shared new details Wednesday (Feb. 22) about the birth of her first child, including his name.

“As you all know, Carter and I have been blessed with the arrival of our baby boy,” the heiress said on her podcast This Is Paris. “He is such a precious angel and we are just over the moon and so in love with him. We’re just so excited to start our family and can’t wait for you to see him. But for now, we’ve just been keeping everything really private.”

The “Stars Are Blind” songstress then went on to reveal that she didn’t share the happy news of the baby boy’s arrival with anyone in her famous family — including mom Kathy Hilton and sister Nicky Hilton Rothschild — until he was “over a week old.”

Hilton also shared that several important life experiences over the past few years helped prepare her for motherhood, including filming her 2020 YouTube documentary This Is Paris, advocating for legislative change to the troubled-teen industry and writing her upcoming autobiography Paris: The Memoir.

Later in the episode, the mogul revealed one important detail about the baby boy that all of her fans have surely been waiting to hear. After joking that she briefly considered geographic names like Ibiza and Vegas, the reality pioneer unveiled her son’s unique moniker by reading an excerpt from her upcoming memoir: “If all goes well, by the time you read this, Carter and I will have a baby boy. We plan to name him Phoenix, a name that I decided on years ago when searching cities, countries and states on a map.

“Phoenix has a few good pop culture reference points,” the excerpt continued. “But more important, it’s the bird that flames out and then rises from the ashes to fly again. I want my son to grow up knowing that disaster and triumph go around and come around throughout our lives. And that this should give us great hope for the future…So there you go. My beautiful baby boy’s name is Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum.”

Joe Jonas gave Sophie Turner a romantic shout-out on social media for her 27th birthday on Tuesday (Feb. 21).

“Here’s to more nights being real with you @sophiet…Happy birthday,” the Jonas Brothers singer wrote atop a screenshot from his wife’s BeReal for the evening, which depicted the couple enjoying a cozy, candlelit dinner at an outdoor restaurant somewhere to celebrate the Game of Thrones actress turning another year older.

Three weeks ago, Jonas also shouted out Turner during the dedication ceremony for their JoBros star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, adorably saying, “Sophie, what up, homie? You’re my partner in crime, you keep me motivated and inspired every day. I strive to be as cool as you. You got any plans after this?”

Following that milestone moment, Turner returned the love to Joe and his brothers in an Instagram post of her own, writing, “To see the hard work and love and light you boys bring to your music… it’s an honor just to watch from the sidelines. After almost 20 years of hard work you boys are so deserving of this. I’m so lucky to count you as family. I’m proud of you every day.”

Joe and his siblings are currently gearing up for the release of their fifth studio set The Album, which will be released May 5 via Republic Records. The LP’s lead single, “Wings,” arrives this Friday (Feb. 24). In an exclusive chat with Billboard News, Joe described the song as “introductory” to The Album as well as “a good entryway” to the sound of the upcoming body of work.

Check out Joe’s sweet post for Sophie’s birthday here before it expires.
