Britney Spears is proving that she still has a lot of unheard mementos to share that weren’t mentioned in her bombshell 2023 memoir — including the fact that, according to her, she and Ben Affleck once got frisky many moons ago. On Wednesday (Feb. 7), the 42-year-old pop star posted a throwback photo of her […]

Rosé may be one of the most famous K-pop stars on the planet, but at Taylor Swift‘s Wednesday (Feb. 7) Eras Tour concert in Tokyo, the BLACKPINK band member was just like every other Swiftie in the crowd — passionately singing along, especially when it came time for the 10 minute version of “All Too […]

She may have released two full length albums in 2023, but Kim Petras says she still has plenty more new music to share. In a teaser posted to her social media accounts on Wednesday (Feb. 7), the “Unholy” singer revealed the title of her newest project, Slut Pop Miami. A sequel to her 2022 seven-track […]

Maroon 5 had two huge milestones to celebrate this week as two of the Adam Levine-led band’s music videos crossed major YouTube views milestones. First up, the band’s clip for the wistful single “Memories” from their Jordi album reached the one billion views mark.
The 2019 song about lost friends — inspired by the death of the band’s longtime manager Jordan Feldstein — peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The spare visual directed by David Dobkin consists of a close-up shot of a mowhawked, bearded Levine in front of a black background singing the wistful refrain, “Here’s to the one’s that we got/ Cheers to the wish you were here but you’re not/ Cuz the dreams bring back all the memories of everything we’ve been through.”

The camera slowly pulls back to reveal Levine’s head and shoulders as the light fluctuates around him, eventually leaving the singer in the dark and ending with the phrase “For Jordi.”

In addition, the video for their 2014 single “Sugar” hit an even higher peak this week when it moved past four billion YouTube views. The song from the pop group’s fifth album, V — written by Levine along with Mike Posner, Dr. Luke, Jacob Hindlin and Henry Walter — also peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100.

The playful Wedding Crashers-inspired video directed by Dobkin was shot in Los Angeles and found the band seemingly crashing a series of weddings in a single day, tooling around in a vintage convertible and confusing bridges and grooms as they show up with their gear to play impromptu reception concerts to the delight of the gathered friends and families. The five-minute clip ends with Levine saying “this is the coolest thing ever, ever, ever, ever” while high-fiving and hugging a happy couple.

“Sugar” is the band’s first video to put up four billion views, edging ahead of their 2018 single “Girls Like You” (3.5 billion), another billion-view visual for “One More Night” and a handful of clips with 800 million-plus views (“Animals,” “Payphone,” “Moves Like Jagger”).

M5 have been in a lower-power mode since headlining the Super Bowl LIII halftime show in Atlanta in 2019, releasing the one-off singles “Memories,” “Nobody’s Love” (2020), the Megan the Stallion-featuring “Beautiful Mistakes” (2021) and last year’s “Middle Ground” while kicking off a Las Vegas residency at the Park MGM in March 2023. Though they’ve hinted at new music in the years since, M5 have not released a full-length album since 2021’s Jordi.

Their M5LV The Residency at the Dolby Live at Park MGM theater will continue this summer/fall, with 16 scheduled gigs in May, June, September and October.

Though her new album is still a month away, Ariana Grande is giving fans a small pocketful of sunshine in advance. The 30-year-old pop star shared the titles of three new songs on Eternal Sunshine Wednesday (Feb. 7) via Instagram Reels. After previously announcing that the first song on the tracklist is called “Intro (End […]

Taylor Swift is back on the road for her global Eras Tour, and soon, she’ll be adding a new “era” to the mix: The Tortured Poets Department, her 11th album which she announced during her best pop vocal acceptance speech at the 2024 Grammys.
And at her returning show in Japan on Wednesday (Feb. 7), she revealed exactly how long she’s been crafting her April 19-slated record. “I’ve been working on Tortured Poets since right after I turned in Midnights,” Swift shared at Tokyo Dome, adding, “You turn in albums months in advance.”

“I’ve been working on it for about two years,” she continued. “I kept working on it throughout the U.S. tour and when it was perfect — in my opinion when it’s good enough for you — I finished it and I am so, so excited that soon you’ll get to hear it. Soon we’ll get to experience that together.”

Fans were shocked Sunday (Feb. 4) when the 34-year-old pop star, while accepting the first of two Grammys she would earn that night for her fall 2022 album Midnights, revealed the title and release date of Tortured Poets on the Crypto.com Arena stage before immediately sharing its cover art on Instagram. But according to Swift, the album’s announcement would have come this week no matter what — even if she hadn’t won either best pop vocal or album of the year at the awards show.

In fact, the “Anti-Hero” singer said she’d planned to drop the news at Wednesday’s concert had she not taken home any golden gramophones a few nights prior. “Luckily enough that ended up happening,” she told the crowd, thanking fans for indirectly securing Midnights‘ AOTY win. “My backup plan was I was gonna do it tonight in Tokyo.”

“I’m over the moon about the fact that you guys care about my music, it still blows my mind,” she concluded. “Everyone’s like, ‘Why do you make so many albums?’ I’m like, ‘Man, because I love it. I love it so much.’ I’m having fun, leave me alone.”

Swift has three nights left at Tokyo Dome this week before she’s expected to fly back to the States to support boyfriend Travis Kelce at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, where the Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the San Francisco 49ers. The next week, she’ll embark on the Australian leg of the Eras Tour before doing a string of Singapore shows early March.

This week of Eras shows also means four nights’ worth of new surprise songs, which, at Wednesday’s show, were “Dear Reader” and “Holy Ground.”

Celine Dion couldn’t help breaking out into song at Sunday night’s 2024 Grammy Awards. Though the pop superstar has not performed in public since her 2022 reveal of a diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome, after a surprise appearance during the broadcast to present the evening’s final award — Taylor Swift’s record-breaking fourth album of the […]

To celebrate the announcement, Sia shares her new collaboration with Kylie, “Dance Alone,” one of the LP’s 15 tracks.

“Dance Alone” is a favor returned. The Aussie artists previously collaborated on Kylie’s album Kiss Me Once, released back in March 2014.

The Reasonable Woman cover art features an image of a woman in orange suit with a striped grey blob for heads and hands, the type of art fans have come to expect from the singer who has often obscured her face in pictures and public appearances in an effort to maintain her privacy.

For a bit of fun, Kylie dresses as Sia in a photo accompanying the slapping new track, which can be streamed below.

Warner Music Group pitches Reasonable Woman as Sia’s first proper solo album since 2016’s This Is Acting, which was mostly comprised of songs she wrote for other artists that were not released on their albums and featured the singles “Alive,” “Cheap Thrills,” “The Greatest” and “Unstoppable.” This Is Acting hit No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the ARIA Chart.

The following year, the Adelaide, South Australia-raised singer and songwriter jingled into the holiday period with Everyday Is Christmas, her first with WMG’s Atlantic and first Christmas-themed album, followed by 2021’s companion soundtrack to the feature film Music, for which Sia made her directorial debut.

The “Chandelier” singer has amassed more than 50 billion audio streams, and landed 14 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, including a No. 1 with 2016’s “Cheap Thrills,” which led the tally for four weeks. Six of her LPs have impacted the Billboard 200, including a No. 1 for 2014’s 1000 Forms Of Fear.

Reasonable Woman includes the previously released single “Gimme Love.”
