You may not have known it — because he never winds up in any of her squad pics — but comic/actor Jerrod Carmichael is besties with Taylor Swift. The star of the new HBO series the Jerrod Michael Reality Show told Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday night (March 20) that Swift is basically his “best friend.”
The admission came after Kimmel put up a picture of Carmichael hanging with Swift in a box in Buffalo, New York during a Jan. 21 Kansas City Chiefs victory over the Buffalo Bills to advance to the AFC Championship on their way to winning Super Bowl LVIII. In the snap, Swift is, of course, fully decked out in red and white KC gear, while Carmichael is rocking a fuzzy coat over a red jersey.
“Taylor Swift’s my best friend,” Carmichael doubled-down, lamenting that he should have asked the singer to be part of his sometimes intense new HBO series, which he described as a mixture of traditional reality mixed with very frank discussions with his family about his personal life. “Like I’m not her best friend, but she’s my best friend,” Carmichael quadrupled down.

“Can you think of a better friend to have than Taylor Swift?” Carmichael wondered. “I called my former best friend and I was like, ‘You’re out! You never invited me on a jet to your game.’ Taylor’s my best… no, she’s very smart and interesting.” Carmichael said Swift called and asked him to the game, and, not for nothing, the comedian said the singer also definitely “knows more about football” than he does.
When Kimmel wondered, given her deep knowledge of the Xs and Os, if Carmichael asked Swift questions about football, Jerrod said, “yeah, yeah, I’m the girlfriend in that situation.” Anticipating the raft of headlines (such as the one above) screaming “Jerrod Carmichael Says Taylor Swift Is His Best Friend,” Carmichael lamented that he would probably not even get first mention in most stories given the singer’s status.
“Actually, I won’t even get top-billing! It’ll say: ‘Taylor Swift: Jerrod Carmichael’s Best Friend?’ Don’t do that to me, it’s gotta be something else,” he joked. “I do love her though.” The Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show debuts on March 29.

Justin Timberlake is feeling nostalgic with *NSYNC. Following the release of his sixth studio album, Everything I Thought It Was, on Friday (March 15), the star took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes clip of the making of “Paradise,” his collaboration with former boy band *NSYNC. In the video, the five-piece group are seen recording vocals […]
As Taylor Swift may put it, Chelsea Blackwell has a “big reputation” after appearing on the sixth season of Netflix’s Love Is Blind — so big, in fact, even Travis Kelce was inspired to do an impression of her on a recent episode of New Heights. Luckily, the reality star is taking it in stride, although she does now have a message for the “Anti-Hero” singer.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end revealed his passion for the series on Wednesday (March 20), telling his older brother and co-host, retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, “You gotta watch Love Is Blind, man. It is the worst trash ever — it’s worse than Catching Kelce — but it’s so f—ing good,” he added, referencing his own 2016 E! dating show, on which 50 women competed for his heart.
“Honestly, I just want you to watch the one girl and to just hear her,” Travis continued over Jason’s objections, before mimicking something Blackwell told then-fiancé Jimmy Presnell during an argument on the show: “You think I’m clingy? I’m clingy? Really?”

For those out of the loop, Love Is Blind finds a group of men and women dating each other from opposite sides of a wall, unable to see their partners until they get engaged. Blackwell and Presnell emerged from the blind pods with plans to get married; however, Presnell broke things off before they got to the altar.
Travis isn’t the first person to poke fun at Blackwell since season 6 kicked off earlier this year: She went viral early in the season for telling Presnell that people tell her she looks like Megan Fox, stirring up a debate about whether she actually resembles the actress. But the flight attendant has been able to laugh at herself in spite of comments about her demeanor on the show. In a TikTok posted after the football star’s impression went live, she tells the camera while smiling, “I just got the most mortifying news.”
“I really feel like I need to crawl under a rock at this point, because Travis Kelce did an impersonation of me, and the only outlet that this man knows my name — or not even knows my name — is from whining like a baby back bi—,” she continued, rolling her eyes at herself.
The possibility that one of the world’s biggest pop stars may have been watching the show alongside Travis, whom Swift has been dating since last summer, was also not lost on Blackwell. “Taylor Swift, if you’re watching it with him…,” she said, laughing. “Please stop.”

The second installment of director Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon movie series will be accompanied by a five-track “inspired by” EP. Rebel Moon – Songs of the Rebellion is due out on April 5, with tracks from Jessie Reyez, Tainy, Tokischa, TOKiMONSTA, aespa, Black Coffee and Kordhell.

The album will drop just before the April 19 Netflix release of Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver, the sequel to the Justice League director’s 2023 futuristic space drama Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire.
“After being given the chance to watch the movie before it was out, it was very easy to connect the dots backwards and see myself in Kora” Reyez said in a statement in reference to the series’ main character, Kora/Arthelais, who leads fighters from across the galaxy in a battle against the oppressive Motherworld. “Personally, there’s not a lot of things I’m afraid of, but being absolutely vulnerable in love is definitely one of them. Kora has repeatedly been denied emotional and physical equanimity throughout her life, and when she is denied it again by [Charlie Hunnam’s character] Kai, she has yet another brick to add to her walls, and grows another layer on her thick skin. It was natural to resonate with that.”

All of the songs on the EP are originals the artists wrote specifically for the film according to the release, with each song paired to a lead character that inspired it. “The artists’ rebellious personal touches on each single create a compelling sonic journey throughout the EP, curated to the film’s characters and emotions of strength, resilience, and empowerment,” the release said. “The collection of songs also features various genres representing different cultures from around the world. And similar to the warriors in Rebel Moon, artists also have to fight for their families, their communities, a dignified future, and their art.”
Check out the track list — including which character inspired each song — below.
“Child of Fire” – Jessie Reyez (inspired by Kora –protagonist played by Sofia Boutella)
“Jalo!” – Tokischa + Tainy (inspired by The Bloodaxes — Darrian and Devra Bloodaxe — played by Ray Fisher and Cleopatra Coleman)
“Die Trying” – aespa + TOKiMONSTA (inspired by Nemesis — played by Doona Bae)
“Ode to Ancestors” (feat. Djimon Hounsou) – Black Coffee (inspired by General Titus — played by Hounsou)
“Revolution” – Kordhell (inspired by Jimmy — voiced by Anthony Hopkins)
While Lady Gaga has never released the song “Brooklyn Nights,” the ARTPOP-era cast-off has become a Little Monster favorite. Look no further than a TikTok from Slayyyter in which the “Miss Belladonna” singer lip synchs along to what she dubs “the greatest bridge from the greatest unreleased song of all time I think…”
In the 20-second video, Slayyyter — dressed in a yellow t-shirt and black motorcycle jacket — reclines as she mouths along to the lyrics, “I found an old pair of keys in my purse/ That opened the walkup we shared/ How did they get there, jerk?/ I wanna see you there/ I wanna make it work.” Touching her golden locks, Slayyyter continues, “I didn’t brush my hair/ And my lashes are falling/ Off of seven…”
The video elicited some predictably revved-up comments, none more excitable than the one from Mother Monster herself, who wrote, “[crying face emoji] love this.” Uber-fan Slayyyter, as you might imagine, was blown away by the nice words from Gaga, tweeting, “imshaking tnrjekjfnd.”

Slayyyter wasn’t the only one losing their mind over the acknowledgement. Among the other cranked-to-11 responses on the original TikTok were: “OMG GAGA JUST ACKNOWLEDGED ‘BROOKLYN NIGHTS’ WE WON,” “OH MOTHER YOU HAVE TO REMIX THIS,” “OMGGGG SLAYYYTER IS A ‘BROOKLYN NIGHTS’ STAN” and “I mean a Lady Gaga x Slayyyter collaboration would send the dance pop girls to another dimension.”
Billboard reported in 2013 that during an impromptu Twitter Q&A with fans Gaga teased a potential sequel to her ARTPOP album, writing, “Yes, lots of songs for ACT TWO!” At the time, Gaga said a finished version of “Brooklyn Nights” was slated for release as a bonus track from ARTPOP, promising that it would come out “on the app sometimes during the album cycle.”
When the singer’s third full-length studio album was released in Nov. 2013, however, the song did not make the cut and the previously hinted-at plans to include it on an accompanying multi-media app did not come to fruition.
Gaga has not announced released a new album of solo material since 2020’s Chromatica, though a post from February featuring images of her in the studio clarified that she is “not” making a rock album.

Travis Kelce may be partial to Taylor Swift’s music, but he’s also a diehard Justin Timberlake fan through and through. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end recently attended the “Mirrors” singer’s one-night-only concert in Los Angeles, and in the latest episode of his New Heights podcast with Jason Kelce, he had only rave reviews for the show.
“Everybody knows I’m a huge JT fan,” Travis told his older brother, who recently retired from the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive line, on the episode posted Wednesday (March 20). “It’s been so cool meeting him out in Tahoe and playing golf with him.”

“JT always makes unbelievable music,” continued the Ohio native. “He was playing a bunch of renditions of his old classics, absolute bangers. It was so cool to see him play some of my favorites, man.”
Travis met up with Barry Keoghan – who just so happens to be reportedly dating Sabrina Carpenter, one of Swift’s Eras Tour openers – at Timberlake’s March 13 performance. “When BK met TK,” the Saltburn star later wrote on Instagram Stories, sharing a photo with the football star.
In addition to playing tracks from his new album Everything I Thought It Was, Timberlake brought out his *NSYNC bandmates for a surprise reunion during the show. The guys sang their ‘90s hits “Bye Bye Bye” and “It’s Gonna Be Me” as well as their new song “Paradise,” which appears on the “SexyBack” artist’s March 15 LP.
At one point, Travis posed for a photo with Chris Kirkpatrick’s 7-year-old son, Nash.
“Any time you can see Justin Timberlake perform, I suggest you buy the ticket,” he added on his podcast. “He’s the f—king best.”
Travis has previously expressed his love for Timberlake, revealing earlier this year that the former boy bander is the most famous contact (besides his superstar girlfriend, of course) that he has saved on his phone. “I appreciate you, Justin,” he said at the time.
Since winning the Super Bowl in February, Travis has been spending much of his time traveling the world with Swift as she continues her Eras trek. Most recently, he joined her in Singapore, where he attended one of the musician’s six shows at National Stadium and jammed out to songs such as “Look What You Made Me Do.”
As a result, the 14-time Grammy winner’s music is undoubtedly fresh in his mind – which could explain why he recited a snippet of Swift’s 2014 hit “Bad Blood” during another part of the new episode. While discussing NFL quarterback Kenny Pickett’s recent trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Eagles, he said, “Kenny and the Steelers — their relationship ended in a little bad blood,” mimicking the pop star’s catchy melody on the final two words.
