Every month, Billboard asks our readers to vote for the best Latin collaboration released throughout the month and featured on our weekly New Music Latin playlist.
Many unique and interesting collabs dropped this month, including Feid and Sean Paul’s romantic reggaeton fused with sultry dancehall “Niña Bonita,” Cazzu and Youn Miko’s sensual trap song “Brinca,” and Marshmello and Farruko’s motivational EDM “Esta Vida.”
April was also strong for Regional Mexican artists. Peso Pluma, for example, teamed up with Colombian rapper Blessd in “Las Morras,” a raw and blunt acoustic-led corrido, essentially about being on top of the world; and Grupo Frontera surprised fans with their Bad Bunny-assisted “un x100to,” a catchy norteño track about heartbreak and regret.
Artists such as Eladio Carrión and Anuel AA; Boza and Dalex; and Alex Anwandter and Buscabulla, also released collaborations in April, to name a few.
Which one is the best? Vote in our fan poll below!
The 2022 winning collabs were Christina Aguilera and Ozuna’s “Santo” (January); Becky G and Karol G’s “MAMIII” (February); Sebastian Yatra and John Legend’s “Tacones Rojos (Remix)” (March); Bizarrap and Paulo Londra’s “BZRP Music Session” (April); Morar and Duki’s “Paris” (May); Blessd and Rels B’s “Energia” (June); Pablo Alboran and Sebastian Yatra’s “Contigo” (July); Anonimus and R3ymon’s “Santa Diabla” (August); Kany García and Christian Nodal’s “La Siguiente” (September); Juan Gabriel and Anahí’s “Déjame Vivir” (October); Nicki Minaj, Maluma and Myriam Fares’ “Tukoh Taka” (November); and Alejo and CNCO’s “Estrella” (December).

The list kicks off with Eslabon Armado’s sixth studio album, Desvelado, home to 16 tracks that were mostly written by frontman Pedro Tovar (who is currently No. 1 on the Hot 100 Songwriters Chart). The set also includes eight collabs, such as the Peso Pluma-assisted smash hit “Ella Baila Sola,” the norteña-tinged cumbia “Quédate Conmigo” with Grupo Frontera (fresh off a Bad Bunny team-up), and the soon-to-be breakup anthem “Tomando Tequila,” with Jhayco’s raspy vocals taking center stage. Eslabon reels in artists the group has previously recorded with, including Junior H and DannyLux, for duets.
Colombian singer-songwriter Mike Bahía also delivers his new 12-track album Contigo — the third and final installment in the album trilogy that gave life to Navegando (2019) and Contento (2021). Together, the titles of these three albums form the phrase “Navegando Contento Contigo” (Sailing Happy With You), a name and concept that serve as a reflection of and dedication to the incredible journey that is his musical career and the people who have supported him thus far.
Meanwhile, Monsieur Periné (composed of the Colombian duo of Catalina García and Santiago Prieto) also dropped a new studio album called Bolero Apocalíptico, and Spanish singer-songwriter Niña Pastori, released a 10-song collection called Camino.

Carrión teamed up with Anuel AA on “Triste Verano” (sad summer), one of the most highly anticipated team-ups of the música urbana game, where the two artists spit verses like two forsaken fellows who ain’t too proud to beg, against an invigorating interplay between Latin trap and reggaetón. For his first single of the year, Boza reeled in Dalex (who’s making a comeback in his own right) for “Volar” (fly), an infectious electronica beat helmed by Colombian hitmaker Sky Rompiendo with lyrics about falling hard for a girl and feeling the highest of emotions. And DJ Marshmello joined forces with Farruko on “Esta Vida” (this life), an EDM song with lyrics that convey a different message that reflects Farru’s newly found life path.
Additionally, Billboard highlights other releases such as Esteman’s groovy, slowed-down pop ballad “Despertar,” Juanes’ romantic alternative rock “Ojalá,” Felipe Pelaéz’s first-ever ranchera “Magía,” Fito Paéz and Ángela Aguilar’s feel-good “Brillante Sobre El Mic,” and Kenia OS’ sultry “Rumores” with boyfriend and Mexican rapper Gera MX, among other new releases.

After three months, 12 eliminations and 20 lip syncs, RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 is finally coming to a close on Friday (April 14).
The finale (airing Friday at 8 p.m. on MTV) will see the show’s four finalists — Anetra, Luxx Noir London, Mistress Isabelle Brooks and Sasha Colby — duke it out for the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar, as well as the series’ record-high cash prize of $200,000.
Drag Race has yet to announce the specific format of this year’s finale. Throughout the show’s history, finale episodes have had a tendency to change — while the final episodes for much of the show’s history simply featured a series of performances and interviews before the winner was crowned, more recent seasons have seen each of the top queens battle for the title in a series of lip syncs.

With the format still unannounced, there are a number of criteria that could be used to choose a winner from season 15. If fans go purely off of queens’ track records on the show, then Sasha Colby would stand out as the clear front-runner — the former Miss Continental winner has taken home four challenge wins (more than any of the other finalists), and never landed in the bottom two. If fans are looking for the queen with the best lip sync record, Mistress Isabelle Brooks is currently undefeated when it comes to lip syncs, having survived both lip syncs she performed in on the show.
Whatever your criteria, the question still remains; who do you think should win RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15? Vote in our official poll below:

It may be the last day of March, but we’re going out with a bang when it comes to new music thanks to releases by Jisoo, Boygenius, Chlöe and more.
The BLACKPINK singer became the final member of the the girl group to go solo with her single album ME, featuring songs “Flower” and “All Eyes on Me,” while Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus and Phoebe Bridgers reunited for their full-length album The Record a full half-decade after forming their alt-rock supergroup for their self-titled 2018 EP.
Chlöe Bailey also unveiled her debut solo album, In Pieces, on the heels of previously released singles “Pray It Away,” Chris Brown collab “How Does It Feel” and the piano-driven title track. Plus, Tyler, the Creator re-upped on his 2021 opus Call Me If You Get Lost by dropping Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale — a deluxe edition with eight new tracks not on the original album, including single “Dogwood” and collaborations with Vince Staples (“Stuntman”), A$AP Rocky (“Wharf Talk”) and YG (the 2020 demo version of “Boyfriend, Girlfriend”).
Meanwhile, on the new song front, Taylor Swift stripped down her bombastic Midnights opener “Lavender Haze” for a ghostly acoustic version that could sound easily at home on her 2020 album Evermore.
Becky G and Peso Pluma delivered a horn-blasted Spanish-language duet with “Chanel,” and Charlie Puth teamed up with Dan + Shay for their boundary-setting ballad “That’s Not How This Works.” (A promised remix with Sabrina Carpenter is still a couple of weeks away.) Plus, rising U.K. pop star Maisie Peters offered yet another irresistible sneak peek of her upcoming sophomore album The Good Witch with the triumphant “Lost the Breakup.”
