PnB Rock was tragically shot and killed during a robbery while dining inside a Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles restaurant, leading to the arrest and conviction of Freddie Lee Trone to 31 years in prison. New footage of the incident has emerged and it suggests that PnB Rock was set up by a pair of patrons who presumably tipped off Trone and his teen son who carried out the robbery and shooting.
YouTube channel True Crime News shared a video featuring footage of the fateful day when PnB Rock, real name Rakim Hasheem Allen, and his fiancée Stephanie Sibounheuang visited Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles in South Central Los Angeles in September 2022.
True Crime News host Ana Garcia is heard explaining the happenings in the surveillance footage, which shows a person greeting Allen while outside footage shows two people allegedly planning the crime. Trone’s son arrived by car and fired three shots at Allen with restaurant workers, a security guard, and guests vacating the establishment.
The bodycam footage obtained from police showed the vantage point of officers who responded to the scene of the crime, with detectives asking Sibounheuang about the shooting. At that time, Sibounheuang is informed that her fiancée did not survive the gunshot wounds.
Sibounheuang absorbed blame for the incident after she posted on her Instagram Story feed that she was at the restaurant, including showing the location via geotag.
Some observers believed she was the reason the robbers were able to corner Allen. However, Garcia shared that according to the timing of the planning going on outside of the robbery and Sibounheuang’s Instagram post do not match up. The plot was hashed out well before she shared the location, thus effectively clearing her of any blame according to the True Crime News findings.
We will share a link to True Crime News‘ report but will not embed the video in the body of this post due to the disturbing details within. However, clicking here will lead you to the story but please proceed cautiously.

PnB Rock was senselessly murdered in 2022 during a robbery in California and a jury has found the two of the three individuals involved guilty on all counts in the trial. Freddie Trone was found guilty of sending his teenage son to rob and subsequently gun down PnB Rock inside a popular soul food restaurant.
Rolling Stone reports that Freddie Trone, 46, ordered his son, 17 at the time, to enter the Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N Waffles in South Los Angeles after being tipped off by Tremont Jones, 46, that PnB Rock and his fiancée Stephanie Sibounheuang entered the eatery.
Under Trone’s orders, the masked teenager confronted the Philadelphia artist demanding his jewelry while threatening Sibounheuang by saying, “If you don’t give me the jewelry, I’m going to blow her head off” as heard in court testimony.
After nine days of testimony, the jury decided that Trone was guilty of one count of felony murder, two counts of robbery, and one count of conspiracy. Jones was found guilty of two counts of robbery and one count of conspiracy. Trone’s son, now 19, was found incompetent to stand trial and is still being held in a juvenile facility.
Deana Allen, the mother of PnB Rock, real name Rakim Allen, offered a statement to Rolling Stone after the verdict was heard in a Compton, Calif. court.
“I’m elated. I wanted to jump up and scream, ‘Hallelujah.’ I’m so happy it was quick. We got justice for Rakim. I feel better knowing they’ll be in jail for a long time.”

The tragic death of PnB Rock last year led to the arrest of a father and son duo who planned the brazen daytime robbery and shooting and authorities are sharing a new development. In addition to the earlier arrests and charges, two other suspects have been charged in connection to the crime.
Rolling Stone reports that two new suspects have been charged for allegedly aiding the robbery and killing of PnB Rock. Rock, real name Rakim Allen, was dining inside a South Los Angeles Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles with his girlfriend Stephanie Sibounheuang in September 2022.
Tremont Jones and Wynisha Evans were initially arrested back in May and their names were withheld from the public until the charges were filed later. Jones faces charges of two counts of robbery, conspiracy to rob the rapper and illegally possessing a firearm as a felon. Evans was charged with being an accessory after the fact.
The pair pleaded not guilty during their arraignment at the Compton Courthouse in September, according to Venusse Dunn, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Freddie Trone and his 17-year-old son, who is the alleged gunman, were arrested in connection to the meeting. Trone’s wife, Shauntel Trone, was also charged as an accessory after the fact.
There was heavy speculation that PnB Rock’s location was known to the suspects because Sibounheuang shared online where they were dining. That theory is being challenged by prosecutors as they move forward with the case.
All five of the named individuals have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

It’s been a month since PnB Rock was tragically shot and killed at Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles restaurant in Los Angeles, and the late rapper’s girlfriend Stephanie Sibounheuan took to Instagram on Thursday (Oct. 13) to share an emotional post about how she’s been feeling since the incident.

“I am 100% not ok,” she captioned a video of the couple. If I wasn’t spiritual I could kill my self (but then I’ll go to hell and my man not there) My man saved my life, Throwing me under that table. I’m not supposed to be here but bc of him. I am. No one would be able to handle this. TBH, I can’t even handle this.”
Sibounheuan was at the Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles when the shooting occurred, and she gave insight to what happened from her perspective. “To witness what I saw and to keep seeing it in my head, to being forced out the restaurant, to not be able to go in the ambulance or the hospital, Car keys, purse and my phone taken from me, forced in the back of a police car, locked in an interrogation room all night, while all this is going on and to be the last person in this world to know my man didn’t make it after having the faith and confidence that he was,” she wrote. “I felt this time in my relationship everything was finally perfect for our family. My man had gave his self to GOD. Did a complete 360. He was loyal. He was patient. He was teachable and a teacher. I was finally letting the past go, and letting him show up as his changed self.”
She concluded, “It takes so much prayer and spiritual therapy to gain the strength to do the simple things in life now. They say your angels come and stop by and visit you but I feel like mine is always here, it ain’t no stopping by. This life we live on earth is just temporary before we get to heaven or hell. Where we will spend eternity. Only thing matters in this short life is LOVE anything else is irrelevant…you can’t take NONE OF THIS STUFF with you. The devil is running loose on earth. I will never understand a loss so close. I feel so empty. My world is dark now. My heart is broken for the kids.Cover me with strength, grace, and vision to carry on for the family. Shed light on this world in such dark times. Let your power overcome evil. Pain is real. No matter how rich u are, how famous u are, how spiritual u are. Some pain is inevitable.”
The 30-year-old Philadelphia hip-hop artist whose legal name is Rakim Allen, was gunned down Sept. 13 while eating with Sibounheuan. A robber approached their table and demanded items from the rapper, according to investigators.
A man and his 17-year-old son were charged on September 29 with murder in the fatal shooting of PnB Rock.
Freddie Lee Trone, 40, who has yet to be arrested, and his son, who was taken into custody Tuesday, were each charged with one count of murder, two counts of second-degree robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery. A 38-year-old woman, Shauntel Trone, was also arrested Tuesday and was charged with one count of being an accessory after the fact to the killing. Her relationship to the two other defendants wasn’t immediately clear.
