Dev Patel is making his directorial debut in the action-packed, high-intensity thriller, Monkey Man, arriving on Peacock on Thursday (June 14).
The Oscar-nominated actor stars as Kid, a young man making a meager living as a masked fighter in a bloody, underground fight club in India. According to the film description, after discovering a way to âinfiltrate the cityâs corrupt elite,â Kid sets out on a revenge plot to âsettle the score with the men who took everything from him as a boy.â

We didnât ask for it, but another cable-like streaming bundle is coming.
Comcast chief Brian Roberts announced a new three-way bundle featuring Peacock, Netflix, and Apple TV+ is coming at a reduced price.
Speaking Tuesday at MoffettNathansonâs 2024 Media, Internet, and Communications Conference in New York, Roberts said the new package will be called the StreamSaver bundle and will be available to all Comcast broadband and TV customers.
Without revealing many details, Roberts said that Peacock, Netflix, and Apple TV+ will âcome at a vastly reduced price to anything in the market today.â
According to Roberts, the goal of this new bundle is to âadd value to consumersâ and, at the same time, âtake some of the dollars out ofâ the other streaming companiesâ businesses.
âWeâve been bundling video successfully and creatively for 60 years, and so this is the latest iteration of that,â Roberts said. âI think this will be a pretty compelling package.â
Social Media Says The Bundle Is Basically Cable TV
The new bundleâs reception isnât met with the excitement Roberts hoped for. Most users on X, formerly Twitter, are basically saying this is just cable television, which many have cut their cord for, replacing it with streaming platforms.
âlet me just go ahead and get a landline too,â one person on X wrote in response to the announcment.
Another user wrote, âCable is back baby! (Without the same residuals for actors though).
One user pointed out this move could be out of desperation because the streamers are not making as much money as they used to.
âThey are all folding. Individually, each business model cannot sustain itself. When you see mergers like this happen, itâs because they are hemorrhaging money. They merge not to become a superpower but to save each other,â the post on X read.Â

When season 25 of The Voice began, 40 artists were split among the four teams.
Now, just five are alive in the competition.
On Tuesday night (May 14), The Voice trimmed its list of contenders following a round of âLast Chanceâ performances.
Asher HaVon, Bryan Olesen, Josh Sanders, Karen Waldrup, Maddi Jane, Madison Curbelo, Nathan Chester, Serenity Arce and Tae Lewis took their turns at the mic on the previous night. America voted. The four singers with the top scores went through: Karen Waldrup (Team Dan + Shay), Nathan Chester (Team Legend), Josh Sanders (Team Reba) and Asher HaVon (Team Reba).
The remaining singers battled it out for the last remaining spot.

On Tuesday, May 21, the winner of The Voice season 25 is announced.

The track recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra (conducted by William Ross) was composed by two-time Oscar-winner Hans Zimmer in collaboration with Emmy-nominee Kara Talve (Prehistoric Planet) and Grammy-winning producer/songwriter Walter Afanasieff (Mariah Carey); the songâs lyrics were penned by Grammy and Golden Globe nominee Charlie Midnight; Afanasieff and Peter Asher produced the track.
âBecause of the rise in antisemitism around the world today, I wanted to sing âLove Will Surviveâ in the context of this series, as a way of remembering the six-million souls who were lost less than 80 years ago,â Streisand said in a statement. âAnd also to say that even in the darkest of times, the power of love can triumph and endure.â

The song, Streisandâs first-ever recording for a TV series, will be released by Columbia Records on April 25, a week before the series launches globally on streaming on May 2. Zimmer also composed the original score for the six-part limited series starring Harvey Keitel, Melanie Lynskey, Jonah Hauer-King, Anna PrĂłchniak and Jonas Nay.
The series tells the story of a Slovakian Jewish man, Lali (Hauer-King), who in 1942 was deported to the Nazi death camp where more than one million Jews were murdered during the Holocaust. According to a summary, the drama series follows Lali as he is made one of the campâs Tätowierer (tattooist), whose job it is to ink identification numbers on the arms of fellow prisoners. It then follows Lali as he falls for fellow prisoner, Gita (PrĂłchniak), âleading to a love that defied the horrors around them.â
The story shifts 60 years into the future to find the now 80-something recently widowed Lali meeting an aspiring writer, Heather Morris (Lynskey) to whom he tells his improbable story of finding love in the âdarkest of places.â
âBarbra Streisand is one of the most renowned artists in the world, and we are deeply honoured to be working with her,â Synchronicity Films executive producer Claire Mundell said in a statement. âBarbra and her team have crafted the most beautiful song, based on Hansâ and Karaâs main theme for the show, and it sums up the key message of the series â love will survive. Recording the song with Barbraâs iconic vocals and William Ross conducting the LSO at Abbey Road Studios was an unforgettable moment and a memory I will treasure forever. We are thrilled to be able to honour the memory of Lali and Gita in this way, with this beautiful original piece of music.â
The series will be available beginning May 2nd on Sky Atlantic and the NOW streaming service in the UK and Ireland, Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as Peacock in the U.S. and Stan in Australia.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind asks the question: if you had the option to erase all of the painful memories from a breakup, would you? Winsletâs character Clementine decides sheâs going to erase her ex-boyfriend Joel (Jim Carrey) by undergoing a non-invasive procedure that can detect and delete painful memories â ultimately causing her to forget someone completely. When Joel finds out that sheâs done this, he decides to go through the procedure as well, but as the painful memories begin to disappear and he can only remember the happy ones, he starts to fall back in love with Clementine all over again.
