Beyoncé’s proves once again that her cosplay game is unmatched. She channeled Pam Anderson in her latest video for “Bodyguard” and encouraged voting in one fell swoop.
As per The Grio King Bey put on for the culture in memorable fashion on the eve of the presidential election. On Tuesday, Nov. 5 she released the visuals for her song “Bodyguard”, one of the standout tracks from her country album Cowboy Carter. Titled “Beywatch”, the visual is a playful twist on some of Pam’s most iconic moments. The two-minute clip opens up with Beyoncé wearing a platinum blonde wig, a black body suit with matching long sheer opera gloves which is a direct nod to the iconic character Barbara “Barb Wire” Kopetski from Barb Wire.
Also included in the treatment is Pam Anderson’s memorable get up from the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards. Here the mother of three wore a large furry pink hat, a jacquard tie-up corset and some very colorful sequin leggings. To further bring the outfit and era to life she posed in front of a step and repeat that mimicked the original from 1999 but her’s says “No Visual Awards”; a reference to her limiting the amount of visuals for her albums. Lastly, Beyoncé salutes Pam Anderson’s iconic swimsuit look from her Baywatch days with a red one-piece that reads “BEYWATCH”. The video closes with a black screen wishing everyone Happy Halloween and a reminder to go vote.

“My relationship with Tommy may have been the only time I was ever truly in love,” she wrote in the passage, shared on Wednesday (Jan. 18) by People. The couple was married in 1995 in Cancun, and during their time together, Anderson said the duo “had fun and our rule was no rules.”
However, when their personal tapes were stolen from their garage and then made into a “sex tape” for sale, things began to go south. “It ruined lives, starting with our relationship — and it’s unforgivable that people, still to this day, think they can profit from such a terrible experience, let alone a crime,” Anderson wrote.
The couple share two sons, 26-year-old Brandon and 25-year-old Dylan, and the pressure started to infiltrate the relationship. In 1998, Anderson said she was holding then-seven-month-old Dylan one night, when Lee twisted her arm. “Tommy ripped Brandon off me and threw me and Dylan into a wall,” she wrote, noting that she went on to call 911. Lee was then arrested and served six months in jail. Anderson soon filed for divorce.
“The divorce from Tommy was the hardest, lowest, most difficult point of my life,” she wrote. “I was crushed. I still couldn’t believe that the person I loved the most was capable of what had happened that night. We were both devastated, but I had to protect my babies.”
However, she and Lee still “check in, every once in a while.” She added, “Tommy is the father of my kids and I’m forever grateful.”
Pamela Anderson is taking her power back and telling her story — this time, in her own words.
The first trailer for Netflix’s Pamela, a love story was released Tuesday (Jan. 10) and sees the Baywatch actress addressing her infamous sex-tape scandal with ex-husband Tommy Lee in the ’90s from her point of view, with a haunting version of The Cardigans‘ signature hit “Lovefool” soundtracking the trailer.
“I blocked that stolen tape out of my life in order to survive. Now that it’s all coming up again, I feel sick,” Anderson says in the trailer — which opens with footage of her being harassed by paparazzi — likely referencing the scandal being made into Hulu’s Pam & Tommy miniseries. “I wanna take control of the narrative for the first time.”

The actress also dives into the struggle she experienced throughout her career: “I didn’t feel like I had a lot of respect. I had to make a career out of the pieces left, but I’m not the damsel in distress. I put myself in crazy situations and survived them.”
The trailer for Pamela, a love story also features footage of Anderson preparing for her wedding to Lee, in addition to glamorous snaps from her days as a Playboy model, spots on television shows, spending time with her son Brandon Thomas Lee and more as the Cardigans’ hit track plays in snippets throughout the trailer.
The Cardigans’ “Lovefool” earned the group a No. 1 on Billboard‘s Pop Airplay chart in 1997. The track spent seven weeks atop the chart.
