This chart-topper sees Sabrina grinding out her own competition, as her other smash “Please Please Please” cools off to No. 2. This feat makes her the first artist since Ed Sheeran and Elton John to replace their own No. 1 hit, a milestone last achieved in December 2021.

“Espresso” now enjoys its sixth non-consecutive week at the peak of the charts, steamed by a whopping 6.3 million streams.

The song’s resurgence extends Sabrina’s record as the female artist to simultaneously hold the top two spots for the most consecutive weeks. She now matches Justin Bieber’s four-week streak, proving her flavor is anything but bitter.
Riding a wave of national pride, the iconic football anthem “Three Lions” by David Baddiel, Frank Skinner, and The Lightning Seeds has surged 53 places, re-entering the top 20 at No. 20.
This leap follows England’s semi-final victory over the Netherlands in Euro 2024, setting the stage for another chart climb with the team facing off against Spain in the final on Sunday, July 14.
Elsewhere, Belfast’s rising star Jordan Adetunji continues to impress, with “KEHLANI” reaching a new peak at No. 21. Chappell Roan’s energetic “HOT TO GO!” climbs to No. 24, while the collaborative hit “Kisses” by Bl3SS, CamrinWatsin, and bbyclose debuts strongly at No. 26.

In a remarkable leap, the powerhouse collaboration of Eminem, Big Sean, and BabyTron sees “Tobey” rocket 49 spots to No. 29 amid the release of Eminem’s highly-anticipated new album The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).
Rounding out the week’s notable entries, Quavo and Lana Del Rey’s genre-defying “Tough” makes its chart debut at No. 32, further propelling both artists’ impressive chart legacies.
Kasabian are set to claim their seventh consecutive U.K. No. 1 album with their latest release, Happenings. The Leicester-formed rock band, consisting of Sergio Pizzorno, Chris Edwards, Ian Matthews, and Tim Carter, has taken an early lead in the race to top this week’s U.K. Official Albums Chart.

At the midweek mark, Happenings, the band’s eighth studio album, is outselling its closest competitor, Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department, by a margin of 2:1.
Kasabian have achieved six U.K. No. 1 albums throughout their career, with all but their first studio album hitting the top spot. The band has seen major success despite lineup changes, including the departure of lead vocalist Tom Meighan in 2020, after which lead songwriter and guitarist Pizzorno became the de facto frontman.

On the country front, Zach Bryan’s fifth album, The Great American Bar Scene, is eyeing a debut at No. 15. The record features star-studded collaborations with Bruce Springsteen and John Mayer, alongside Bryan’s recent Top 40 hit “Pink Skies.” This could mark Bryan’s highest-charting debut in the U.K.
Previously, Bryan’s self-titled album reached No. 22 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart, while his third album, American Heartbreak, peaked at No. 1 on the Official Americana Chart in the U.K.
Rock band Enter Shikari’s Dancing On The Frontline is set to enter at No. 25. This will be the band’s ninth U.K. top 40 entry and comes after the St Albans-formed rock band snagged their first U.K. No. 1 with A Kiss for the Whole World in 2023.
Previously, the group scored top 10s with their 2007 debut album Take to the Skies (No. 4 peak), 2012’s A Flash Flood of Colour (No. 4), 2015’s The Mindsweep (No. 6), 2017’s The Spark (No. 5) and 2020’s Nothing Is True And Everything Is Possible (No. 2).
Indie rockers The Rifles return after an eight-year hiatus with Love Your Neighbour, which is on track to become their fifth Top 40 album, debuting at No. 26. The alternative-folk trio Fink is also making waves with Beauty In Your Wake, approaching their first-ever entry on the U.K. Official Albums Chart at No. 35.
As we approach the end of the week, all eyes will be on the U.K. Official Albums Chart to see if Kasabian can secure yet another No. 1 album to add to their list.
Imagine Dragons have stormed the Official U.K. Albums Chart with their latest release, securing the highest new entry of the week. The Nevada rockers’ sixth top 10 album in the U.K., LOOM debuts at No. 5.

The album’s success follows her previous chart-toppers, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and Happier Than Ever, which both reached No. 1 on the U.K. Albums Chart. The impressive feat makes the “Lunch” singer one of the few artists to have their first three albums debut in the top two positions.

Camila Cabello makes a bold statement with her new album C,XOXO, which debuts at No. 20. The album marks her fourth Top 20 entry, following Camila (No. 2), Romance (No. 14), and Familia (No. 9). Her debut solo single “Havana” topped the U.K. Singles Chart in 2017, marking her first solo No. 1 in the U.K.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé’s COWBOY CARTER surges back into the U.K. top 40, leaping 59 places to No. 40 following its vinyl release. Back in April, Beyoncé made history after she became the first Black artist to take a country album to No. 1 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart.
The milestone also marked her first No. 1 on the UK’s Official Country Albums Chart.
Sabrina Carpenter is brewing up a storm in the U.K. music scene, becoming the first female artist in Official U.K. Chart history to simultaneously hold the top two spots for three consecutive weeks.

The major achievement places Carpenter in elite company, matching The Beatles, who managed this feat twice—in 1963 with “I Want To Hold Your Hand” and “She Loves You,” and again in 1967 with “Hello Goodbye” and “Magical Mystery Tour EP.”
Only Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran have surpassed this record, with Bieber achieving four weeks at the top two spots in 2015, and Sheeran holding the positions for five weeks on two separate occasions in 2017.
Beyond the U.K. charts, Carpenter recently also became the first artist this year to have two No. 1 hits on the Pop Airplay chart, thanks to “Espresso.” Additionally, both “Please Please Please” and “Espresso” have topped several Billboard Global charts.
In other chart news, Chappell Roan celebrates her first-ever Official Top 5 single this week with “Good Luck, Babe!” rising three spots to No. 4. The track also tops the Official Vinyl Singles Chart, proving the most popular song on that format. Roan’s success continues with “HOT TO GO!” jumping seven spots to No. 26 and “Red Wine Supernova” holding steady at No. 40.
Central Cee and Lil Baby’s “BAND4BAND” rebounds to No. 10, while Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” climbs three spots to No. 11 following the release of its headline-grabbing music video. Mark Ambor’s “Belong Together” moves up two places to No. 14, and Benson Boone’s “Slow It Down” returns to its previous peak at No. 15, with “Beautiful Things” rising one spot to No. 18.
Coldplay’s “feelslikeimfallinginlove” jumps nine places to a new peak at No. 16 after their Glastonbury performance.
Jordan Adetunji’s “KEHLANI” reaches a career-best at No. 24, climbing five places. Dua Lipa’s “Illusion” rebounds nine spots to No. 25, and “Houdini” returns to the Top 40 at No. 38.
The Kid LAROI’s “NIGHTS LIKE THIS” surges 17 places to No. 30, fueled by viral social media success. Finally, BL3SS, CamrinWatsin, bbyclose, and Evan McGee enter the U.K. Top 40 for the first time with “Kisses,” climbing nine spots to No. 35.
RAYE landed her very first No. 1 hit in the U.K. on Friday (Jan. 6) with her latest single “Escapism,” featuring 070 Shake.
“This is proof [you should] back yourself, no matter what,” the indie artist said through tears in a video posted to her socials of her accepting the award from the U.K.’s Official Charts Company. “Thank you, this is mad. These are happy tears!”
The pop-rap collab with 070 Shake is just one of several singles the British singer-songwriter has dropped in recent months ahead of her upcoming debut album My 21st Century Blues, alongside “Hard Out Here,” “Black Mascara” and “The Thrill Is Gone.” In tandem with its chart-topping success in her native U.K., “Escapism” also became RAYE’s first single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, so far peaking at No. 72 (chart dated Dec. 31).
Earlier in December, the track turned into a bona fide global hit thanks to going viral on TikTok and soared into the top 40 on both the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and Billboard Global 200 charts. The song benefited from a release strategy that included both sped-up and slowed-down versions, as well as a live recording.
RAYE’s initial success on the Billboard charts came in the Dance/Electronic genre. Since 2016, she’s notched 14 entries on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart with two landing in the top 10: 2020’s “Secrets” with Regard and 2021’s “Bed” with Joel Corry and David Guetta. (Her collab with Regard also became a minor crossover hit on the Pop Airplay chart by peaking just inside the top 40 at No. 39.)
