NLE Choppa wants his LGBTQ+ fans to know one thing: he’s an ally.
Despite making some headway, Hip-Hop still has a polarizing relationship (looking at you, Boosie) with the LGBTQ+ community, but NLE Choppa is making a legitimate case that rappers can change that.

NLE Choppa’s fanbase has expanded thanks to recent hits like “Slut Me Out” and “Slut Me Out 2,” which has caught on with the LGBTQ+ community.

On Sunday, September 1, the Memphis-born rapper performed at the Atlanta Black Pride event and explained why he was doing what he does best on that particular stage.
“A lot of muthaf**kas will ask me, ‘Man, you a rapper, what you doing at a club like this?’ Well I say ‘F**k them ni**as.’ You wanna know why?” NLE said while addressing the crowd. “I ain’t gon’ lie, man, every day we wake up and we fight acceptance every day. Whether it’s our skin color, whether if it’s our weight, Whether it’s what our sexuality is.”
He continued, “And listen, at the end of the day, I believe in one thing, I feel like everyone is equal, no matter how they drink their water, how they eat their food, how they piss, sh*t, or muthaf**kin’ sleep, you feel me?”

That’s real.
NLE Choppa Is On A New Path
NLE Choppa has made headlines not only because of his music but because of recent lifestyle changes. He went on a celibacy journey, revealing he practiced semen retention.
In a recent cover story for CassiusLife, NLE Choppa also discussed becoming a vegan and making changes he said he “desperately” needed to make.
“I did a lot of self-reflecting. Changed my personality, stopped hanging around certain people,” Choppa told the website. “That’s why I say the pandemic was one of the most important parts of my life. … Just knowing that I had a daughter conceiving at the moment, it really made me grow up.”

Salute to NLE Choppa.

NLE Choppa is making it clear that he is very accepting. He recently checked a troll over his LGBTQ+ support.

As reported by Blavity, the Memphis, Tennessee, rapper is standing on business when it comes to respecting individuals with different sexual orientations. On Thursday, June 13, he expressed his appreciation on how the LGBTQ+ community have embraced his latest single. “I want to perform Slut Me Out 2 at a pride event in return of the love y’all showed me !!” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. While his sentiment seemed to be genuine he did get a negative response from one user who wrote, “This n***a zesty ass be tweakin.”

The “Shotta Flow” rapper served the troll a very mature reply that confirms he gets it. “I’m secure, I know who I am. Show love it won’t hurt and also You do know women are apart of the LGBTQ community right you gone hate them too ? I mean at the least appreciate the women in that community if everything else make you uncomfortable king.”

NLE Choppa’s response quickly went viral as he received praise for his being accepting. “I swear, this man is not only beautiful on the outside, but on the inside too,” one user wrote while another said, “this is how every rapper should be, but they only worried about their image instead of showing love and not spreading hate”.

Activision just dropped Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile and one of the millions of people who downloaded the app and gave it a spin was Memphis rapper NLE Choppa. The “Shotta Flow” rapper has been occupied with the whole rap star thing, so he now considers himself a former gamer.

“I don’t have too much time for it now,” Choppa, who participated in Thursday’s (March 21) Warzone Mobile Streamathon, told Hip-Hop Wired. “Once upon a time I was deep. I still do it in my free time, though. I was like 2K, [Grand Theft Auto], Call of Duty, all of those different games.”

Apparently, becoming a star rapper takes up a lot of time (a record deal with Warner Bros., two hit albums and touring will do that) so his hours spent on the sticks had to suffer.
Nevertheless, Choppa stays in tune with CoD (“Every new Call Of Duty I’m copping.”), and he gave Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile a thumbs up even though it seems he’s better on a PS5. “I was just playing it in my green room it’s actually kind of cool with the joystick thing connected to the phone. I don’t know if I’m as sharp with the tapping it on the screen, but the joystick, I could be able to work that for sure.”
Back to the music for a second, he just dropped a song called “AMF” with Flau’jae, the female rapper who happens to currently be a star guard on LSU’s women’s basketball team. “It came together with her, her mom, my mom, and me. Just respecting the relationship they have as a daughter and a mom-a-ger standpoint and it’s the same thing with my mom and my /manager,” said Choppa. “We connected that way and just always supported Flau’jae from basketball and we got the track in.”
Speaking of Flau’jae dropped 14 in LSU’s win over Rice.

Choppa also says he’s seriously retiring his “Shotta Flow,” with the last, “Shotta Flow 7” having been released in February. He’s starting another series but for the sake of Activision, we won’t mention the somewhat NSFW title here. But back to Call Of Duty: Warzone Mobile and gaming in general, he’ll always find time for a good reason.
“Really it’s just a break from the world,” explains Choppa of why plays video games. “It’s just a break from who I am. To just be able to live that inner child feeling again, just to be able to play games is the goal for me, just to feel like a kid.”
Sounds like a plan. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is available right now on iOS and Android mobile devices.

Nelly is now a certified veteran in the Hip-Hop scene who continues to tour extensively while reaping the benefits of his still-prominent fame. The St. Louis star praised rising Memphis rapper NLE Choppa, who paid homage to Nelly by taking some fashion cues from him for an upcoming video.
NLE Choppa, 20, teased a new video that comes out this Friday (Friday 28) with a series of images of him decked out in classic 1990s style with baggy jeans, a sports team jersey, an oversized t-shirt, and Nelly’s signature band-aid under one of his eyes. From another post showing the video in motion, it appears that the name of the song is “It’s Getting Hot,” which samples a particular song from Nelly that shouldn’t be hard to guess.

The “Hot In Herre” artist caught wind of NLE Choppa’s posts and saluted his younger counterpart by writing, “Go Up Nephew” complete with fire emojis with NLE Choppa responding with, “Nelly approved.”
It isn’t known what project the new song and video are attached to but comes after NLE Choppa’s second studio album, Cottonwood 2, which dropped this past April. Choppa made his official studio album debut back in 2020 with Top Shotta, which was preceded by a handful of mixtapes and an EP dating back to 2018.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), fans are reacting to the NLE Choppa mimicking the sound of Nelly. Check out those reactions below.

Sukihana, regardless if you’re a fan or not, knows how to keep the cameras rolling on her when she’s in that mode. However, it was an older clip that had the raunchy rapper’s name trending on Twitter after she claimed to be of Nigerian heritage and it appears that Naija Twitter isn’t having it.
For context, we need to go back a bit to explain some of the weird back-and-forth happening between a group of Black Americans who frame themselves as “Foundational Black Americans” (FBA) and portions of Twitter users who reside in African nations.
Just a short while ago, an African Twitter user caused a stir after blasting the fact that most Black Americans only speak English, although that user failed to acknowledge how slavery and colonialism jacked everyone up in some form or fashion.
Predating this very nuanced but tired discussion was chatter around Ice Spice speaking about her links to Nigeria, which was reportedly celebrated by some in the West African nation. The same can’t be said for Sukihana, this after an old clip of her explaining that she is Nigerian resurfaced.
Sukihana tirelessly promotes a sexy image, even more than the aforementioned Ice Spice as evidenced by the Love & Hip Hop: Miami star’s X-rated OnlyFans content. To add, the clip in question makes mention of a certain body part while linking it to her reputed country of origin.
Adding to all of this is a recent NLE Choppa video for the remix of his new track “Slut Me Out” which features Sukihana and Sexyy Red being walked like dogs with NLE holding their weaves like a leash. Yeah, it’s out there.
As it stands, Sukihana has the streets talking again and Naija Twitter, an active segment of the social media network, seemingly has something to say. We’ve got reactions from all sides below.
