Backstreet Boys’ Brian Littrell Tells Son Baylee He’ll ‘Always Be in Your Corner’ After ‘American Idol’ Exit

Brian Littrell‘s love for his son Baylee is clearly larger than life.

The Backstreet Boys singer’s 22-year-old son Baylee Littrell auditioned for season 23 of American Idol, debuting on the show last month and surviving all the way to this week, before he was eliminated just shy of the top 14 contestants on Monday night.

Baylee took to Instagram on Tuesday to reflect on his Idol journey, sharing three photos from the show and writing, “My American Idol journey has come to an end. Thank you so much to all that supported me this season. I love you all. #idol #bayleetrain”

His famous dad commented on the post, writing, “Bubba I am and always will be in your corner. [You] are so strong and so very talented, and inspire me every day. It’s never the end, only the beginning for so many to be blessed by your gifts….. you killed it last night.”

Trending on Billboard

Baylee’s mom, actress Leighanne Littrell, chimed in as well in the comments: “You killed it bubba! SO SO VERY PROUD! You are a true artist, no bells and whistles needed! Keep on keepin on! I can’t wait for what’s to come!”

Brian Littrell’s bandmate (and cousin) Kevin Richardson wrote with a heart emoji: “So glad you got to experience this. Proud of you young man. Your journey has just begun…”

Throughout his time on the show, Baylee covered Pharrell Williams’ “Happy,” John Legend’s “All of Me,” and Brian Littrell’s own solo song “Gone Without Goodbye.” Below, you can revisit Littrell’s audition with an original song, plus a mini-duet with Dad.

American Idol airs Sundays and Mondays on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. On Sunday’s episode, host Ryan Seacrest will unveil the 2025 inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on a special episode mentored by Rock Hall member James Taylor.

Elon Musk Scaling Back DOGE Role “Significantly As Tesla Profits Plunge, Social Media Vows To Make His Life Miserable

Phony Stark, aka Elon Musk, learned the hard way that it truly doesn’t pay to align yourself with Donald Trump and ruin people’s lives in the process.

Spotted on BBC, word on the street is Elon Musk has had enough of being involved in government because it’s tanking his bottom line. According to the website, Musk will “significantly” scale back his role in the US Government in response to Tesla’s profits sinking, a direct result of his dealings with Trump, and firing thousands of government workers as part of DOGE’s “cost-cutting” measures in an effort to cut government spending.

Per BBC:

Musk has led the newly created advisory body – the Department for Government Efficiency (Doge) – since last year, putting the world’s richest man at the heart of cutting US spending and jobs.

But Musk said his “time allocation to Doge” would “drop significantly” from next month, adding he would spend only one to two days per week on it after accusations he has taken his focus off Tesla.

His political involvement has sparked protests and boycotts of Tesla cars around the world.

Temporary government workers like Musk contracts are allowed to work only 130 days a year, and for those keeping count, since working from the day of Trump’s inauguration, his contract is set to expire.

It’s unclear whether Musk, who donated $250 million to Orange Mussolini’s campaign, will step down completely from his role at DOGE.

Social Media Vows To Not Let Up On Elon Musk

If Elon Musk thinks he can simply walk away as if nothing happened, social media is telling him to think again.

Users on X, formerly Twitter, are vowing to continue making life miserable for Musk due to his actions and the harm he has caused.

Elon Musk says he is stepping back from DOGE in May, after having destroyed every government agency, the lives of 280,000 Federal workers, the support system for social security, not to mention thousands of lives overseas by the gutting of humanitarian aid. Don’t let the door hit you, dick,” one post on X read.

Another post read,Boo hoo poor Elon, he really thinks he can just walk away after all the damage he did. The world won’t rest until everything around him crashes and he ends up the poorest man in the world. There will be no forgiveness. Musk should just flee back to South Africa.”

Welp, this is what you get, Elon Musk. Now deal with it.

Ferg, Boosie BadAzz Offer Kanye West Support After “COUSINS” Confession

2025 Grammys

Kanye West has been on an active social media tear of late, and his stream-of-consciousness style of sharing his mind revealed a shocking admission. Referencing a track titled “COUSINS,” Kanye West shared that an older cousin currently behind bars engaged in sexual acts with him, prompting Ferg and Boosie BadAzz to speak out in support.

We do wish to warn readers that the details of this post might be disturbing to some.

Over the weekend, Kanye West took to X, formerly Twitter, and shared details about being exposed to adult magazines and such at a young age and how they led to him engaging in inappropriate acts with an older cousin. That same cousin, according to West, is a convicted murderer who allegedly killed a pregnant woman.

In the string of tweets, West wrote, “Perhaps in my self centered mess I felt it was my fault that I showed him [the cousin in reference] those dirty magazines when he was 6 and then we acted out what we saw My dad had playboy magazines but the magazines I found in the top of my moms closet were different My name is Ye and I sucked my cousins d*ck till I was 14.”

Some online have interpreted West’s words to imply he conducted the sexual acts on his  family member under his control and that the cousin was younger. However, it hasn’t been confirmed if the acts were consensual or not, as West didn’t explain the situation in linear detail, nor did he give a range of time.

Ferg, who shared a harrowing experience of abuse on the track “Pool” from his Darold album from 2024. Ferg took to X and wrote, “Good for @kanyewest now you can be whole. When people start to act out you never know the root of the issue ! Sending love brother your a goat.”

Boosie BadAzz also offered support, although a lot less eloquently than Ferg.

DAM KANYEI FEEL BAD FOR THIS DUDE THIS DUDE BEEN THREW SOME SH*T BRA. THE RANTS MAKE SINCE NOW. THIS MAN WAS SUCKING D*CK AS A CHILD SMH HIS MIND IS F*CKED UPI HATE HIM HAVING TO GO THROUGH THIS AS A CHILD.”

We’re sharing the X replies mentioned above in the playlist gallery, along with reactions from X.

Record Store Day 2025’s Top Sellers: Post Malone, Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams & More

Vinyl releases from Post Malone, Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams and more were among the top-sellers from Record Store Day (RSD) 2025 in the United States, according to Luminate.

The yearly independent record store celebration was held on April 12 this year and offered an array of unique and limited-edition albums and singles (mostly vinyl pressings) issued for RSD. More than 300 titles were released for RSD 2025 at independent record stores across the U.S.

Post Malone had both the top-selling RSD 2025 album and single. His Post Malone Tribute to Nirvana, pressed on yellow-colored vinyl, was the top-seller among albums. The album was recorded in 2020 during a livestream that raised funds for The World Health Organization in support of COVID-19 relief efforts. Joining Malone for the livestream were Travis Barker (drums), Nick Mack (guitar) and Brian Lee (bass). The RSD 2025 vinyl release is also a charitable affair, as, according to the RSD organization, 100% of net proceeds from the sale of the vinyl will be donated to MusiCares’ Addiction Recovery/Mental Health division.

Tribute to Nirvana also bows at No. 2 on the April 26-dated Top Album Sales chart, where half of the top 10 are RSD 2025 titles. (Bon Iver‘s new studio album SABLE, fABLE — not an RSD 2025 release — debuts at No. 1 on Top Album Sales, scoring the artist his second leader.)

The Nos. 2-5 biggest selling RSD 2025-exclusive albums were: Gracie Abrams’ Live From Radio City Music Hall (double-vinyl set), Rage Against the Machine’s Live On Tour 1993 (double-vinyl set), Laufey’s A Night at the Symphony: Hollywood Bowl (double-vinyl set) and Charli xcx’s 2017 mixtape Number 1 Angel (on apple-colored vinyl).

Meanwhile, in terms of the top-selling RSD 2025 singles, Taylor Swift’s “Fortnight,” featuring Malone (on 7-inch vinyl) was the biggest seller. The Nos. 2-5 selling RSD 2025 singles were Charli xcx’s “Guess,” featuring Billie Eilish (on 7-inch vinyl); The Killers and Bruce Springsteen’s three-song “Encore at the Garden” (on 12-inch vinyl); The Cure’s “Alone” (Four Tet Remix) (on 12-inch vinyl) and Eddie Vedder’s “Save It for Later” / “Room at the Top” (on ocean floor-colored 12-inch vinyl).

Malone also served as the RSD 2025 Ambassador, and earlier said in a statement upon his selection: “What an honor, I can’t believe I was chosen to be Record Store Day’s Ambassador for 2025. Record Store Day is so important and I really hope to do my part to keep it alive.” Malone follows such recent RSD Ambassadors as Paramore (2024), Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires (2023), Swift (2022), Fred Armisen (2021), Brandi Carlile (2020) and Pearl Jam (2019).

Megan Thee Stallion is gearing up for another hot girl summer, kicking things off with her Coachella performance these past two weekends. During night one, living legend Queen Latifah was one of her many guests during her headlining set, and the two linked up offstage.

The Houston megastar delivered a phenomenal Coachella performance, which also featured appearances from Ciara and Victoria Monet, who elicited the most enthusiastic reactions from the fans.

“Thank you to everyone who came out to watch my team show out at @coachella ! Thank you to all my dancers and JaQuel ?” wrote in the caption of her Instagram post. “yall are so amazing and are always so supportive and I appreciate yall for pushing me and motivating me ! Thank you to all my ladies @queenlatifah @courtneylaplante @ciara @victoriamonet that came out and shared the stage with me YALL ARE ICONS and made this experience so much more amazing for me thank you 1000 times !!! Love you hotties.”

The Trio We Didn’t Know We Needed

After ripping the stage together, Megan Thee Stallion joined Queen Latifah and her wife, Eboni Nichols, and they decided to enjoy some fine dining, including escargot, also known as snails.

“So me, Queen, and Eb is at dinner and b***h, and we’re about to try some sh*t we ain’t never ate before,” the “Hiss” crafter begins in the video.

Before embarking on their escargot journey, Thee Stallion boasted about her oyster seasoning skills after a friendly competition between herself and Nichols, saying they will battle for the title of “Best Oyster Maker.”

Next on the menu for Supreme Hot Girl was caviar with bread which seemed to be hit based on her joyful reaction. The final treat was steamed escargot paired with bread.

“I don’t know about this,” she said as she picked up the delicacy with her fork.

To top things off, she also got a lesson on how to eat mussels from the Queen herself, who warned her that if the shell doesn’t open by itself, don’t eat it.

The Hotties Loved To See It

The Hotties loved the candid moment between Megan Thee Stallion and Queen Latifah.

“I love this. Meg deserves to be surrounded by vets in the game who will uplift her and build solid healthy friendship/peer mentorship. A lot of the OG Women rappers like Queen, Missy, Brat, Eve and Kim have solid friendships with one another, “one post on X, formerly Twitter read.

Another post read, “A group I didn’t know I needed lol.”

Cumulus Media to Be De-Listed From Nasdaq Exchange

Radio broadcaster Cumulus Media was notified by the Nasdaq Composite on Wednesday (April 23) that its shares will be de-listed from the exchange on May 2, according to a Cumulus regulatory filing. The stock will transition the same day to trading on the over-the-counter (OTC) market and will retain the CMLS ticker.

Shares of Cumulus Media fell 26% in after-hours trading following the news on Wednesday afternoon. Not including Wednesday’s after-hours decline, the company’s share price had fallen 59.7% in 2025 and 90% over the last 12 months.

Cumulus Media chose not to take advantage of its one-week grace period to request an appeal hearing. Rather, the company wants “a seamless transition” to OTC trading and seeks to avoid “the requisite expenditure of resources, including time and expense, of addressing the Nasdaq compliance issues,” according to the filing. Additionally, Cumulus weighed “the potential for adverse consequences to shareholder value that could result from actions taken to regain compliance, such as a reverse stock split, feedback received from shareholders, and the potential to relist shares of Class A common stock on Nasdaq in the future.”

Trending on Billboard

The Nasdaq had warned Cumulus Media of a possible de-listing in March and December 2024. The December warning arose from Cumulus Media shares closing under $1.00 for the previous 30 days. The company was given until June 16 to regain compliance by closing at $1.00 or more for at least 10 consecutive business days. In March, the Nasdaq issued another de-listing warning for failure to meet the exchange’s minimum stockholder’s equity requirement of $10 million. It was given until April 21 to provide Nasdaq with a plan to achieve compliance with the rule.

Cumulus Media shares have closed under $1.00 every trading day since Nov. 1, 2024 — the day the company reported a 1.8% year-over-year decline in third-quarter revenue and CEO Mary Berner warned “the advertising environment remains uncertain.” A slowdown in local radio advertising contributed to a 2.1% decline in full-year 2024 revenue and a $283 million net loss despite achieving $43 million in annualized cost reductions.

BigXthaPlug Makes Late-Night Debut, Gifts Jimmy Kimmel Texas Slab Chain

Jimmy Kimmel is now the biggest, the largest.

Texas’ very own BigXthaPlug made his late-night TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform his hit songs “The Largest” and “Mmhmm.”

But before he hit the stage, the Dallas native gave Jimmy his official “Chaining Day” by gifting the late-night host a custom chain made by The Ice Champ featuring a Slab layered on top of the state of Texas as the pendant. “I just wanted to bring by this gift for you,” he told the host in a video shared to the show’s Instagram Stories.

When Kimmel said he didn’t have to bring him a gift, BigXthaPlug replied, “I come bearing gifts as always, man. We’re twinning. I have one as well.” Jimmy answered: “People do tell me that we look like twins. I hear that a lot,” adding that he feels “like a princess” as the two posed for a picture wearing their matching chains. The pendant also has an inscription on the back with their names.

BigXthaPlug recently dropped “All the Way” featuring Bailey Zimmerman as he gets ready to release his highly anticipated, genre-bending country project with some help from Shaboozey, Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, Luke Combs and Jelly Roll, among others. And judging by the success of “All the Way” which debuted at No. 4 and currently sits at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, we should be getting that country rap tape sooner rather than later.

‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Trailer Includes Creepy ‘Sound of Music’ Cover, But Where’s Lady Gaga?

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens aren’t exactly the first things one would associate with the creepy and kooky Wednesday Addams, but the trailer for season 2 of Netflix’s Wednesday still features a cover of a famous, happy-go-lucky classic from The Sound of Music.

Fittingly posted on a Wednesday (April 23), the two-minute preview opens with Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday making her way back to Nevermore Academy, a journey that involves the teenager reluctantly relinquishing her many weapons to TSA agents at an airport. Meanwhile, a haunting rendition of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “My Favorite Things” plays, the tune made slightly creepier than Julie Andrews’ original Broadway and film versions through slowed, eerie vocals and horror movie-esque bells.

The trailer goes on to show Wednesday reuniting with her fellow student and dormmate Enid (Emma Myers) and squaring up with season 1 love interest-turned-villain Tyler (Hunter Doohan). Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán and Fred Armisen also return as their respective members of the Addams Family clan: Morticia, Gomez and Uncle Fester.

Trending on Billboard

“Nothing is what it seems in season 2,” creator Miles Millar told Netflix’s Tudum of the show’s second chapter. “Wednesday goes into this season thinking she knows Nevermore. It’s the first time she’s returned to a school willingly. But as soon as she gets back, nothing happens that she’s expecting. She thinks she’s going to be in control, that she knows where all the bodies are buried, and she doesn’t.”

One highly anticipated cast member who wasn’t featured in the trailer, however, is Lady Gaga. Though she is set to make her debut on the show this season, the 14-time Grammy winner was nowhere to be found in the sneak peek, meaning Little Monsters will have to wait a little longer to get a look at her top-secret character.

“She’s great in the show, and I don’t think she’s what people expect her to be,” Ortega teased of Gaga’s role in March, later adding on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, “She is so sweet, so humble, just a normal person, and it’s beautiful and amazing … It’s intimidating when someone is so talented but cool at the same time.”

The first batch of Wednesday season 2 episodes arrives Aug. 6, followed by Part 2 Sept. 3. Watch the trailer above.

Killer Mike Delivers Fiery ‘Mania on My Mind’ Freestyle Over Travis Scott’s ‘FE!N’

Feeling inspired by Travis Scott‘s guest appearance at WrestleMania, Killer Mike was compelled to step into the booth and drop a fiery freestyle over La Flame and Playboi Carti’s “FE!N” beat.

“I woke up with ‘Mania on my Mind. This beat is so cold I had to kill it,” The Atlanta rapper wrote to X after releasing the freestyle on Tuesday.

While it seems like an unlikely mix, Killer Mike rides the ominous Jahaan Sweet production with ease. “We watching Cody Rhodes wrestle/ F— a few million, I want a billion/ Yeah I wanna be Tony Ressler,” he raps.

Trending on Billboard

Mike flexes his belief that he’s one of the best to ever pick up a pen. “At rapping I’m one of the best/ I was an early investor/ The school of hard knocks with hustle and rocks/ Trying to be the professor,” the Run the Jewels rhymer spews.

Fans welcomed the unexpected birthday gift from Mike, who turned 50 on April 20, and showed him love in the YouTube comment section.

“Man went off with the pedal to the floor,” one fan wrote. Another added: “On a utopia beat is crazyyyyyyy goatttt!”

There hasn’t been much overlap between Travis Scott and Killer Mike in the past. However, the duo faced off at the 2024 Grammy Awards when Mike’s Michael won best rap album over La Flame’s Utopia project, as well as Nas’ King’s Disease 3, Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss and Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains.

“FE!N” served as a standout on Scott’s Utopia album, and the chaotic track reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Scott made his presence felt at WrestleMania on Sunday night when he interrupted John Cena and Cody Rhodes’ undisputed WWE champion title fight.

La Flame even pulled the ref out of the ring and took a bump after being on the receiving end of Rhodes’ Cross Rhodes. Scott’s interference helped Cena defeat Rhodes to capture his record-breaking 17th world title.

Listen to “Mania on My Mind” below.
