Lil Baby stopped by Funk Flex’s Hot 97 radio show this week to deliver a freestyle ahead of his upcoming third solo studio album, It’s Only Me — check it out below.

The Atlanta native dropped bars over a Wheezy instrumental with whom he’s collaborated on tracks such as “Large,” “We Should” with Young Thug, “Yes Indeed” featuring Drake and more.

“Cool lil shit I’m digging her skin complexion, little do she know I’m next/ Everybody around me ran up an M or better I don’t really never have to flex/ Too much going on to be on my phone, for real/ I don’t ever really have to text, when I call she gonna come through/ I’m the wall they gonna run to/ If I’m honest I’ll stun you,” Baby starts off his fiery freestyle.

This is the third time Lil Baby has stepped up to the plate in front of Funk Flex’s microphone. The last time happened in March 2020 to promote his 4x platinum sophomore album My Turn, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 and became the rapper’s first No. 1 album and one of the highest-charting projects of the year.

It’s Only Me follows Lil Baby’s 2020 effort, and the QC spitter has been teasing the 23-track album over the past few months. In early September, he dropped the lead single “Detox” with an accompanying music video. He’s also given fans the release date (October 14) and a look at the cover art, showing him at different stages of his life on Mount Rushmore.

Earlier this week, Baby confirmed Nardo Wick, Young Thug, Fridayy, Future, Rylo Rodriguez, Jeremih, EST Gee and Pooh Shiesty will feature on the album.

Young Thug Gives Lil Baby Ultimatum Over ‘It’s Only Me’ Album From Jail

When it comes to his own features, Lil Baby is raking in the cash. During a conversation with The Experience Podcast with Big Loon earlier this week, the 4PF rapper revealed he currently charges in the region of $250,000 to $350,000 for a guest verse.

“I don’t even be doing features no more,” Lil Baby said when asked about the price of his pen. “But like 300[K], 350[K]. 250[K], 300[K], something like that.

“But I ain’t been doing features lately. Like now, I’m about to put out an album, but if I don’t got an album or nothing going on, [it’s] like, why not?”

Tee Grizzley has opened up about what it was like being interrogated by federal authorities after he was caught robbing a jewelry store in 2015.

In a sit down with Akademiks, the Detroit rapper said the scariest part of the whole ordeal – which led to him being incarcerated for an initial 15-year sentence that got shortened to 18 months – was being interrogated by the feds.

“I’ve been interrogated by state police and I’ve been interrogated by the feds,” Grizzley recalled. “Bro, listen. I don’t like haunted houses, right? I won’t go to a haunted house. I had an experience when I was younger, don’t matter. I’m not going to a haunted house.”

He continued: “I will go to a haunted house before I sit down and have [the feds] ask me questions. That’s how scary that shit is. That’s the most scariest shit in the world, bro. I ain’t gonna lie, I can’t speak for everybody bro, but I be in that bitch scared.

“I know I’m not gonna say shit, right? That’s why I’m even more scared. I know I ain’t saying nothing so whatever they can do to me, they gonna do it because I ain’t taking no type of deal… so they gonna have to do what they gonna have to do, and that shit’s scary ’cause damn, that was about to happen to me.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Tee Grizzley said the police weren’t even the ones who caught him robbing the jewelry store, but that he got busted by an armed civilian.

“It’s so crazy, though, because the most unexpected shit might happen,” he said. “The way we got caught? A customer pulled a gun out. It wasn’t nobody who worked at the store, it was a fucking customer. He was in there buying some fucking golf clubs … and I saw it in his eyes — he wanted to [shoot his gun] so bad, bro.”

Akademiks said he would have ratted someone out if he had been in the interrogation room, but Grizzley remained solid.

“They was saying you can go home right now,” Grizzley recalled. “You can go home right now, just tell us who put the plan together … See, I can’t tell because I can’t go back home. A n-gga might see me walking to the store, throw one in my head. All that type of shit come with it.”

In a previous interview with Million Dollaz Worth Of Game, Tee Grizzley said he began hitting the books once he was put behind bars, and that he started studying law to try to shorten his 15-year sentence.

“I didn’t think I was getting out,” the “First Day Out” rapper said. “Man, look, I got n-ggas in there telling me, ‘You better take 10 years if they try to give that to you.’”

He went on to say that he would often ask both his legal team and fellow inmates for advice and that they’d all tell him to avoid going to trial at all costs. But a decade in jail didn’t sit well with Grizzley, so he started hitting the library.

“First thing I see I go to that type of shit, and they say, ‘You can only consider something a weapon if they use it to threaten somebody and demand something.’ I ain’t never told nobody I was gonna hit them with the hammer. I ain’t raised nobody or nothing. So they can’t say that that’s a weapon.”

He continued: “and I told my lawyer that and my lawyer surprised like, ‘No you right.’ I’m like, ‘The fuck you mean I’m right? You knew this before me. I get to tell my co-defendant, ‘Look read the law book. Look at every case,’ and we end up getting up out that motherfucker.”

Tee Grizzley was on parole until October 2016. As a free man, he crafted his hit single “First Day Out” days after it ended. The track’s visual accompaniment, which finds Tee Grizzley donning the same orange jumpsuit he wore in prison, now has over 227 million views.

50 Cent is far from finished ridiculing his estranged son Marquise Jackson over his recent child support comments.

On Thursday (October 13), which happens to be Marquise’s 26th birthday, 50 shared a video on Instagram elaborately trolling his eldest son in response to his complaint that his father’s $6,700-a-month child support payments weren’t enough to keep him afloat in New York City.

The almost minute-long clip finds the Queens, New York rapper watching TV in the tub in a hotel in Germany when Marquise’s comments appear on the screen as “breaking news.” 50 turns the TV off in disgust and says: “This n-gga’s crazy. You’re 25 years old; why are you still talking about child support?”

But the trolling doesn’t end there. Later in the video, 50 Cent answers a knock at his hotel room door and is greeted by Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda. “You know I don’t ask you for shit, man, but I was thinking,” Murda asks. “Could a n-gga get a little extra $6,700 a month?”

50 replies: “You n-ggas play too much” while laughing.

Marquise Jackson caught wind of 50 Cent’s trolling and posted screenshots of the video on his own Instagram page along with a message sarcastically thanking his estranged father for the birthday love.

“Hol on wait did my pops post me on my birthday today!” he wrote in the caption. “Wow he never shouted me out for my birthday this the 1st time.

“And I thought them dudes eat when u say eat u must not be telling them to eat pops because having old Nxggas begging at your door is SAD. I’m never going out like that. #ImYouDAD [crying face emoji].”

Marquise’s post was accompanied by a scene from 50 Cent’s Power series where Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.) tearfully confronts his father James a.k.a. Ghost (Omari Hardwick).

After his original child support comments made headlines, Marquise Jackson offered to pay 50 Cent $6,700 to spend quality time with him.

“Since y’all think $6,700 is sooo much money someone tell my pops I will pay him $6,700 for just 24hr of his time so we can do everything I ever wanted to do with him as a kid,” he wrote on Instagram while sharing a photo of him sat next to $100 bills spelling out the word “entitled.”

I’m definitely willing to sit down with him so I can hear his perspective and gain a little bit of understanding.
