Maude Apatow to Make Her Off-Broadway Debut in ‘Little Shop of Horrors’

Maude Apatow is taking her talents from the small screen to Off-Broadway.

The Euphoria actress will be making her New York stage debut in Michael Mayer’s Little Shop of Horrors revival. She will be appearing in the production from Feb. 7 to April 2 as Audrey, taking over the role from Tony Away winner Lena Hall.

Mayer said in a news release, “I have long admired the emotional intelligence and vulnerability Maude has displayed on television and in film. She’s a natural fit for Audrey.”

He continued, “It delighted me to learn that, as a child, Little Shop was her gateway into her lifelong love of performing, and that this show gets to be her professional stage debut. We’re thrilled to have her become a part of the Little Shop legacy.”

Apatow is most well-known for playing Lexi Howard in Euphoria. In the show’s award-winning second season, she wrote, directed and starred in her own fictional play — and now she gets to star in a real one.

“We are overjoyed to welcome another incredible performer to the show,” Little Shop of Horrors producer Robert Ahrens said. “With her beautiful voice and immense talent, we cannot wait to see Maude light up the stage alongside Matt Doyle’s brilliant portrayal of Seymour.”

The actress recently told The Hollywood Reporter what would be considered “euphoria” for her character of Lexi in the HBO show.

“Freedom from yourself and your thoughts and negative thoughts, negative self-talk,” Apatow said. “Once that’s out of the way, you can realize your full potential, and I think that’ll probably [be] hers: stop attacking herself.”

You Care: Kim Kardashian “Hates” Kanye West’s New Wife, Per “Insider”

Kanye West might be looking forward to even more family drama. Word on the street is that Ye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian is not particularly fond of the rapper/designer’s new wife Bianca Censori.

Many have noted that Censori, who has a gig at the Yeezy brand, looks a lot like Kardashian. Ye definitely has a type. And it seems like Kardashian was aware of this, at least enough for her to dislike Ye’s new bride for a long minute.

Reports Page Six:

Insiders say that the former Mrs. West has long despised Censori for no obvious reason — unless, that is, you know that she has suspected there was a certain frisson between Censori and the rapper-turned-raving-lunactic.

“Kim hates her,” said an insider.

Sources say that it was well known around the Yeezy HQ that the boss’ wife didn’t like her, and suspected that his architectural designer wanted to do more than handle his erections.

Ayo!

The tabloid’s “insider” was also sure to note that Kardashian “hates pretty girls.”

Alrighty then.

As for Ye and his new bride, they reportedly honeymooned at a fancy resort in Utah. No word on whether or not Ye is still adhering to those antisemitic statements that cost him his deal with Gap and adidas, though.

And now that Kim Kardashian is surely feeling a way, expect more leaks about Ye tomfoolery, allegedly.

Chrissy Teigen Gives Birth, Welcomes New Baby With John Legend

Happy new year indeed! Chrissy Teigen gave birth to her third child with husband John Legend on Friday (Jan. 13), a rep confirms to Billboard.

The singer-songwriter announced the happy news during a private concert that evening, People was first to report. “What a blessed day,” Legend told attendees, according to the publication. The 12-time Grammy winner also said that though he had spent a lot of time at the hospital and hadn’t gotten much sleep ahead of the event, he felt “energized” after the baby’s birth.

Some who attended the private performance also shared the news of the baby’s birth on Twitter. “@johnlegend just told us he had a baby this morning #congratulations,” wrote one.

The couple have not yet shared any additional details about their newborn.

The joyous arrival of Legend and Teigen’s new baby comes after the cookbook author suffered a pregnancy loss in September 2020. The model revealed at the time that they lost son Jack at 20 weeks after a pregnancy complication. She later shared more details, saying that the couple had learned Jack “would not survive,” and neither would she without medical intervention. “Let’s just call it what it was: It was an abortion,” the star said during Propper Daley’s “A Day of Unreasonable Conversation” summit in September. “An abortion to save my life for a baby that had absolutely no chance.” Teigen noted to attendees that at the time that the fact it was an abortion shocked her.

In February 2022, she shared that she was undergoing IVF treatment in order to conceive again, but asked her followers to not make comments about if she was pregnant or not.

“I honestly don’t mind the shots … they make me feel like a doctor/chemist … but the bloating is a bi—, so I humbly beg you to stop asking if I’m pregnant because while I know it’s said with excited, good intentions, it just kind of sucks to hear because I am the opposite of pregnant!” she wrote at the time.

Teigen announced her pregnancy news on Instagram in early August 2022 by sharing a series of baby bump mirror selfies. “The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again,” she captioned the post. “1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way. Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still. I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. Ok phew it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!”

Legend and Teigen, who tied the knot in 2013, are parents to 5-year-old Luna and 4-year-old Miles.

“Coming from country music and its relationship with LGBTQ+ members, I just want to say I’m sorry,” Morris said. “And I love you guys for making me feel like a brave voice in country music. So I just thank you guys so much for inspiring me.”

“I’m gonna cry,” she admitted.

In August, Morris showed her allyship when she called out the “unapologetically conservative” wife of Jason Aldean, Brittany, who spread hurtful anti-trans misinformation on her Instagram account. When Brittany called gender-affirming care for minors “one of the worst evils,” Morris and Cassadee Pope jumped in with comments, with Morris calling Aldean “Insurrection Barbie” and telling her to “not be a scumbag human.”

When Fox News’ Tucker Carlson called Morris a “lunatic” for her comments, the singer created T-shirts that read “lunatic country music person,” and later donated more than $100,000 worth of proceeds to GLAAD’s Transgender Media Program and Trans Lifeline.

In November, Morris spoke out against Candace Cameron Bure for her plans to“keep traditional marriage at the core” of content on her new network, Great American Family. Morris commented “Make DJ Gay Again,” a reference to Bure’s most famous role as Full House‘s DJ Tanner.

“We love an ally! So grateful @marenmorris stopped by #Untucked to support our Queens with this heartfelt message,” the official Rupaul’s Drag Race Instagram account posted on Saturday (Jan. 14).

Cordeiro died Friday (Jan. 13), according to Radio Television Hong Kong, where he worked until 2021. It gave no cause of death.

Cordeiro, who was born in Hong Kong in 1924 of Portuguese descent, was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s longest-working DJ.

He joined Hong Kong’s public broadcaster in 1960 after working as a prison warden and bank clerk. His “All the Way With Ray” show of easy listening music was on RTHK Radio 3 for 51 years until his retirement.

“The audience followed me, grew up with me, and they’re all over the world now,” Cordeiro told The Associated Press in 2021 after his retirement. “They still listened to me on the internet.”

Cordeiro interviewed the Beatles, then the world’s biggest music act, in 1964 following a study course in London with the British Broadcasting Corp. He said John Lennon recounted their early days in Hamburg, Germany, where they lived in relative poverty and played in clubs.

Cordeiro said all four members of the Beatles autographed a magazine cover for him.

“It’s probably worth a fortune,” he said.

The broadcast of the Beatles interview on Hong Kong radio made Cordeiro a celebrity. He also interviewed other stars and met Elton John and Tony Bennett.

New ‘Dear Mama’ Docuseries Will Explore 2Pac’s Relationship With Afeni Shakur

Another side of 2Pac’s life is about to come to life on screen. The Dear Mama docuseries will explore his relationship with Afeni Shakur.

As spotted on Deadline, the FX channel will launch the new series with a goal of chronicling the history of their storied mother and son. Dear Mama is being billed as a “deeply personal five-part series that defies the conventions of traditional documentary storytelling to share an illuminating saga of mother and son, Afeni and Tupac Shakur.”

The late great Ms. Shakur was a revolutionary, an intellect and a voice for the people. She became a feminist darling of the ’70s, a female leader in the movement amidst the macho milieu of the Black Panther Party. Their story chronicles the possibilities and contradictions of the United States from a time of revolutionary fervor to Hip-Hop culture’s most ostentatious decade.

The project is executive produced by Allen Hughes. He detailed his vision during a presentation for the show. “Wherever possible, we tried to find archival footage that hadn’t been seen so there’s a lot that we have in the five parts,” he said.

“There’s also audio that’s never been heard. And not just some of his acapellas and vocals, there is a lot of stuff of Tupac from his baby years that had never been seen. For 2pac super fans, I believe that two of the most important things in the project is the never seen before. But most importantly, you get to understand why he made certain decisions.”

Kanye West and his alleged new wife, Bianca Censori, went on a honeymoon—since that’s what newlyweds do. Less than a month after finalizing his divorce, Ye whisked his new bride to Utah.

The 45-year-old rapper and his 27-year-old wife spent quality time at a swanky resort, according to the Daily Mail.

The romantic honeymoon took place at the Amangiri, an upscale resort with 34 suites with one four-bedroom Mesa home, located on 600 acres in Utah’s Grand Circle of National Parks and Monuments.

They enjoyed a 25,000 square foot Aman Spa for treatments based on healing philosophies of the Navajo.

Room rates at the five-star resort range from $3,300 up to $6,400; prices for the Mesa home, which is a 5,853 square feet freestanding villa, was not available. The average per night rate for a suite at Amangiri is $5,000.

So far, Ye has been quiet on his social with no mention of his new significant other. But, the title of a song he recently dropped, “Censori Overload,” is obviously in reference to his new love interest, who bears a resemblance to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

Reportedly Censori, who is Australian, joined Yeezy in 2020 where she is the brand’s “Head of Architecture.” She holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree from the University of Melbourne. She is the same woman that was spotted with Ye after he had been under the radar, at least when it comes to paparazzi catching him on camera.
