Shakira Fans Will Have to Find Another Way to Get to MetLife Stadium as NJ Transit Cancels Service

Shakira fans commuting from the TriState Area to her concerts at MetLife Stadium on Thursday and Friday (May 15-16) may need to rethink their travel plans.

NJ Transit announced on Monday (May 12) it will be halting rail and bus service to the stadium for both shows. “Due to the potential rail service stoppage, NJ Transit will not be operating train or bus service to MetLife Stadium for the Shakira concerts on May 15th and 16th,” NJ Transit said in a post on X.

Similarly, the MetLife website announced, “There will be NO NJ Transit Rail or Bus Service to MetLife Stadium for the Shakira concerts on May 15 & 16. If NJ Transit rail service is your preferred means of transportation to MetLife Stadium, please plan for an alternate way to travel to the Shakira concerts.”

Billboard Español has reached out to the NJ Transit for comment.

This decision comes amid discussions between NJ Transit and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers seeking a labor contract with federal mediators stepping in to assist, according to NBC New York. A strike, which could begin as early as midnight on May 16, would mark New Jersey’s first major rail labor stoppage in four decades, potentially impacting hundreds of thousands of daily commuters.

The cancellation of transit services is expected to cause significant delays for concertgoers who had planned to rely on public transportation for the sold-out New Jersey shows, where Pitbull and Rauw Alejandro are expected as a special guests. Fans are now being encouraged to explore alternate travel options, with stadium officials warning of heavier-than-usual traffic and long waits for rideshare pickups.

The Colombian superstar kicked off the U.S. leg of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour on Tuesday (May 13), during which she performed to a sold-out crowd at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.

Busta Rhymes Wants to Be Featured on Cardi B’s Upcoming Album: ‘Let Me Know When You Ready Queen’

From Missy Elliott to Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes has collaborated with plenty of icons throughout his decorated career, but now he’s got his eyes on potentially working with a fellow New York-bred rap titan in Cardi B.

Bus-A-Bus linked up with Cardi B at Madison Square Garden on Monday night (May 12) as the pair was courtside taking in the New York Knicks playoff action, with NYK defeating the Boston Celtics to come within a win of advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000.

Busta reposted a photo chopping it up with Cardi outside MSG on his Instagram early Wednesday (May 14), in which he posed the idea of hopping on a record with the Grammy-winning rapper.

“THE BLESSINGS DON’T STOP SO WE WON’T EVER STOP!! NEVERRRRRRR EVER EVER EVER,” he wrote. “SALUTE TO THE ONE OF THE BIGGEST QUEENS OF THE CULTURE @iamcardib WHAT IF ME & CARDI COOKED UP??!! I GOT YOU QUEEN, LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU READY QUEEN!!”

Chuck D and plenty of fans lent their stamps of approval in Busta’s comment section of the rapper’s manifestations.

“Yesss, we’re here for this collaboration,” one fan wrote while another added, “YEEEESSSSSSSS ITS GOTTA HAPPEN!”

Cardi made headlines with her courtside MSG appearance, which seemingly hard launched her new relationship with NFL star Stefon Diggs, who was sitting with the Bronx bombshell.

Busta Rhymes released his seven-track Dragon Season…. Equinox project earlier this year, while Cardi B has continued to tease her long-awaited sophomore album.

During an IG Live session at the top of May, Cardi blamed the delay of her album on feature verses from guests taking too long.

“I really need these f–king features,” she said in a repost of the session. “And it’s like I’m not really trying to press or go crazy on these artists because I love them down. But it’s like come on now! I need that! I need that right now! Helloooo! Y’all don’t want to miss this opportunity. I’ll sing this s–t myself! But I really need y’all and I need y’all to hurry up and I love y’all. I feel like nobody want to miss being on this album.”

Nobody Asked Him, But Unsurprisingly, Problematic Boosie Badazz Defends Diddy, Stupidly Claims Cassie Enjoyed Alleged “Freak Offs”

You can’t count on Boosie Badazz to deliver a hit record nowadays, but you can damn sure bet on him delivering some heada** opinions on matters.

Nobody asked Boosie Badazz what he thought about Diddy’s situation, but that isn’t stopping the “Wipe Me Down” rapper from sharing his thoughts.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the Louisiana rapper dropped easily one of the dumbest takes about Cassie and Diddy ahead of the mogul’s former girlfriend taking the stand in his high-profile case.

“IF ANYTHING, THIS SHOULD BE A DOMESTIC ABUSE CASE NOT A SEX TRAFFICKING CASE,” Boosie said on the social media platform. “SHE ENJOYED THE WILD SEX PARTIES N THE EXTRAVAGANT GIFTS ON THE BACKEND. ALL OF THESE YEARS OF SEX PARTIES N YOU MEAN TO TELL ME SHE DIDNT ENJOY IT .IM CONVINCED SHE ENJOYED IT . IM PRETTY SURE SHE CAME DURING THOSE FREAK OFFS.”

He stupidly added, “IT WAS A LIFESTYLE! THIS WAS CONSENSUAL SHE WAS HIS GIRLFRIEND. TRYING TO GIVE SOMEONE LIFE N PRISON FOR THIS IS BULLSH*T!”

This isn’t the first time rapper put on his cape for the allegedly egregiously horny and now disgraced Bad Boy general.

“I feel DIDDY N JAIL FOR BASICALLY DOING WHAT EVERY OTHER FAMOUS ENTERTAINER HAS DONE ‘FLEW B****ES OUT FOR 3 SOMES,” the Louisiana rapper typed. “HE JUST FREAKIER WE ACTUALLY GO CALL WOMEN PROSTITUTES WHO FLY N WILLINGLY TO BE WITH THEY PARTNERS FOR SEX?,” Boosie said following Diddy’s arrest last September.

Social Media Reminds Boose Badazz That He Is A Trash Individual

As expected, social media quickly dragged Boosie, reminding him of his questionable behavior regarding his minor son and nephew.

“He’s the same one who hired women to perform sex acts on his minor sons. I am not surprised he’s defending this,” one person wrote in response to Boosie’s thoughts on Diddy.

Another person wrote, “Every defense is a confession.”

Where’s the lie?

We wished Boosie would just shut the hell up. Nothing good ever comes out of his mouth.

Charli xcx Reflects on 5-Year Anniversary of ‘How I’m Feeling Now’ & Announces ‘Party 4 U’ Music Video

Charli xcx is ready to throw a party 4 her fourth studio album, How I’m Feeling Now, which celebrates its fifth birthday Thursday (May 15) amid the viral resurgence of one of its tracks — for which the musician has announced a new music video.

In a heartfelt handwritten letter posted to Instagram Wednesday (May 14), the pop star first opened up about crafting her 2020 LP, the release of which she wrote “honestly just feels like yesterday.” “So much has changed since then: me, my life, elements of my music and most definitely the world,” Charli wrote.

“I made the album in just five weeks, from conception to release, entirely publicly in collaboration with all of you,” she continued of crafting the album at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. “It was so special. I felt like I rediscovered myself, my sanity + my sense of connection with the world, at a time where we were all so alone.”

Trending on Billboard

Though far from her most commercially successful, How I’m Feeling Now is one of Charli’s most beloved works among her fanbase. Released four years before she’d experience a career breakthrough with 2024 year-defining album Brat, the LP peaked at No. 111 on the Billboard 200.

In recent months, however, the album has undergone a renaissance thanks to one of its tracks in particular: “party 4 u,” which made its Billboard Hot 100 in early May a full five years after its release after going viral on TikTok. On the chart dated May 17, 2025, it reached a new peak at No. 55.

With the well-timed retroactive success of “party 4 u,” Charli went on to announce Wednesday that she has a music video in the works for the half-decade-old track. Sharing a seconds-long closeup of her eyes paired with a snippet of the song, she wrote on her social media accounts, “5 years later… the party 4 u video. tomorrow.”

The news comes shortly after she shared a clip of herself running down an empty street while holding a bushel of pink balloons — a direct reference to one of the song’s lyrics — on TikTok. And in her handwritten note, the Essex-born star had hinted, “I really can’t believe that 5 years later one of the Angel favorites is having its own special moment.”

“So obviously I wanted to do something to celebrate…,” she’d continued. “This one’s for you Angels.”

The How I’m Feeling Now anniversary comes just a few weeks after Charli performed at Coachella 2025, incorporating “party 4 u” into her Weekend 2 setlist. The weekend prior, she brought Lorde, Troye Sivan and Billie Eilish on stage with her to perform their respective Brat remix collaborations: “Girl, So Confusing,” “Talk Talk” and “Guess.”

Charli is now fresh off of four nights at Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on her own headlining Brat Tour. She’ll next embark on a European leg starting May 31 in Poland.

TMZ has reported that the man allegedly responsible for attacking Tory Lanez in prison is Santino Casio, a known violent offender currently facing life behind bars.

Casio’s record reportedly includes multiple assaults on fellow inmates, with one such incident adding six years to his sentence. His reputation for violent behavior behind bars aligns with the brutality of the reported attack on Lanez. The incident has stirred speculation online, particularly from music executive Wack 100, who claimed via social media that Mexican gangs were behind the assault.

At the time of his statement, there was no official confirmation supporting that theory, though Wack cited unnamed inside sources. His comments fueled online debate but have not been backed by prison authorities or official reports.

Following the incident, Tory Lanez’s official Instagram account released shocking details about his condition. According to the post, Lanez was stabbed 14 times in various areas of his body, including his back, torso, head, and face. The severity of the attack reportedly led to two collapsed lungs. Despite the life-threatening injuries, Lanez is said to have survived and is now recovering.

The disturbing nature of this assault has drawn increased attention to prison violence and raised concerns about the safety of high-profile inmates. As investigations continue, more details are expected to emerge about the motive and whether Casio acted alone or under gang orders. Authorities have yet to make an official statement regarding Casio’s alleged involvement.

Lyrical powerhouse Wale sat down for an in-depth conversation with MiAsia Symone, offering fans a rare glimpse into his life beyond the music. Known for his introspective style, the artist didn’t hold back about his personal growth, challenges, and optimism for the future.

Touching on mental health, Wale shared his current mindset, explaining, “I’m mentally aware. It’s more about empathy than anything.” Mental health has been a recurring theme in his work, and his empathy continues to fuel his creativity and personal connections.

Fatherhood has also played a pivotal role in shaping the rapper’s perspective. Speaking about parenting his 8-year-old daughter, Wale admitted, “It’s an emotional ride, for better or worse.” His love and respect for her individuality were evident as he added, “She’s so aware and smart. She’s learned how to talk her way through things without really lying. She gives me a run for my money.” Despite the challenges, he affirmed his co-parenting partnership, saying, “Her mom is a great mother, and they’re besties.”

With a new album on the horizon and his latest single, “Blanco,” hitting the airwaves, Wale reflected on his career highlights and struggles. Yet, he acknowledged the difficulties of navigating industry politics and recognition. “I’ve had so much success, but only one Grammy nomination. Something doesn’t add up,” he stated candidly.

Looking forward, his upcoming album promises depth and raw emotion. Wale revealed it explores themes like love, paranoia, and legacy. “I’ve put a lot of my heart into this, all the weight that’s been on me,” he said. Despite stepping away from trends, his fans remain his compass, trusting his authenticity and unique voice.

When asked about his ultimate goal, Wale kept it simple yet profound. “When it’s all said and done, I just want to be known for making great music.” That’s a legacy his loyal audience can stand behind.

White Supremacy Advocate Trump Falsely Claims Afrikaners Victims Of “Genocide”

On Monday (May 12), President Donald Trump took questions from reporters after a White House event, and was pointedly asked about welcoming white South Africans as refugees through a February executive order despite the administration’s feverish agenda of detaining and deporting migrants and others from the United States. “Why are you creating an expediting path into the country for Afrikaners but not others?” he was asked.

“Because they’re being killed and we don’t want to see people be killed,” Trump responded. “But it’s a genocide that’s taking place that you people don’t want to write about. Farmers are being killed. They happen to be white. Whether they are white or Black makes no difference to me. White farmers are being brutally killed and the land is being confiscated in South Africa.”

But the data, and further research, disproves those claims. According to Willamette University Professor of History Seth Cotler, such claims have only been sourced to neo-Nazi publications which have promoted the claim for decades. An expert on right-wing propaganda, he detailed the instances that fueled the myth in a thread of posts on BlueSky, noting that conservative William F. Buckley was the lone exception, writing about it in a column. White South Africans, while victims of violence in the country, experience it far less than those who are Black.

According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Afrikaners (who compose two-thirds of South Africa’s white population) possess half of South Africa’s land and produce 90% of its agricultural products, which amounted to be worth $13.7 billion in exports last year alone. Only 1% of white South Africans are in poverty as opposed to two-thirds of Black South Africans, due in large part to the historic system of apartheid in that nation which was abolished in 1994.

When interviewed, some Afrikaners expressed their gratitude to Trump for the offer of resettlement but weren’t keen on going to the States. “But it’s good to know that [Trump] will back us … if sh*t happens,” farmer Maritz Gobler said. He also nixed the idea proposed by one Trump official that it would be easier for them to assimilate. “I don’t want to speak English for the rest of my life,” he said, highlighting that most Afrikaners primarily speak Afrikaans, a version of Dutch influenced by the indigenous peoples of Namibia and South Africa.

Morgan Wallen: 15 Best Songs (Critic’s Picks)

Sneedville, Tennessee native and reigning CMA entertainer of the year Morgan Wallen has been breaking chart records with regularity over the past few years as he’s evolved from a top country music hitmaker to a multi-genre hitmaker and musical supernova, on the strength of projects including Dangerous: The Double Album and his 2023 project One Thing at a Time. On Friday (May 16), he aims to add to his arsenal of top-selling albums with his new project I’m The Problem, a 37-song project that features collaborations with Tate McRae, Eric Church, HARDY, ERNEST and more. He’s already released a slate of songs from the project, including “Love Somebody,” “Lies Lies Lies,” “I’m The Problem” and “Superman.” With the new set, he aims to add to his list of chart milestones.

In March, Wallen became the only singular act with two albums (or even one album) with at least 100 weeks in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. Also among the records he has broken is one previously held by Garth Brooks. Wallen’s One Thing at a Time broke the record for the most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for a country album, surpassing the record set by Brooks’ 1991 album Ropin’ The Wind.

Along the way, Wallen has notched a trio of Billboard Hot 100 chart leaders (with “Last Night,” “Love Somebody” and the Post Malone collab “I Had Some Help”) and 17 Country Airplay chart leaders. He’s also spearheaded massive headlining tours including his One Night at a Time tour, which touted 87 shows, 10 countries and 3 continents, playing to over 3 million fans along the way. This week, in addition to releasing the new album, he’ll headline his inaugural weekend of his Sand in My Boots Festival in Alabama, not long before he launches his I’m the Problem Tour in June, starting with two shows at NRG Stadium in Houston.

In addition to his own hits, Wallen has contributed to writing hits for artists including Keith Urban and Kane Brown. As Wallen gears up to add to his song canon, we look at 15 of Wallen’s best songs so far, ranging from multi-week Billboard chart hits, to fan-favorite album cuts. Check out our ranking below.

Superman Questioned Like An Op In Official Trailer

Superman official trailer
Source: DC Studios / DC

It’s gotta be tough being Superman—routinely saving the world, and the media, incels and trolls—and supervillains—Monday morning quarterbacking as if he’s actually a danger to good samaritans. This is the treatment Kal-El aka Clark Kent (David Corenswet) is getting from Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) in the latest trailer for James Gunn’s Superman.

“I wasn’t representing anybody except for me…and, and doing good,” says the exasperated Kryptonian when his actions are questioned. While the line of questioning sounds familiar to anyone who pays attention to politics, the action we’re also seeing in this official trailer is all new. Like Lex Luthor rolling up into and wreaking havoc in the Fortress of Solitude and the Man of Steel catching, and delivering, a whole lot of fades.

Gunn also got his money’s worth when it comes to DC IP with more looks at Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), Mister Terrific (Edi Gathegi) and Metamorpho (Anthony Carrigan)l, among others. We’re not too sure of Luthor’s buzz saw-handed henchwoman just yet, but she’s superpowered and viewers will definitely be looking forward to her catching a bad one.

And clearly, Krypto is going to be a fan favorite.

Superman is theaters on July 11. Watch the Superman official trailer below.
