Instead of featuring career-spanning songs, the clip highlights 14 onstage wipeouts from frontman Axl Rose. Set to their 1987 classic “Welcome to the Jungle,” the video includes archival footage of Rose slipping, tripping and toppling over onstage across the decades, concluding with a clip from Saturday’s (May 17) show in Mumbai, India, where the rocker stumbled on the stairs while performing “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”

The post arrives as Guns N’ Roses hit the road on their Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things world tour, which kicked off May 1 in Incheon, South Korea. The stadium run will continue across Asia, the Middle East and Europe through the end of July, with support from Public Enemy, Rival Sons and Sex Pistols members on select dates.

The band’s current lineup includes Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus and Melissa Reese. This marks the first tour since longtime drummer Frank Ferrer announced his departure from the group in March. His final show was Nov. 5, 2023, in Mexico.

The group has since welcomed Isaac Carpenter as their new drummer for the 2025 tour.

Guns N’ Roses continue to be one of the most enduring acts in rock. Their 1987 debut album, Appetite for Destruction, remains one of the best-selling rock albums of all time. The band’s iconic single “Sweet Child O’ Mine” became their first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 when it topped the chart dated Sept. 10, 1988.

Their Not in This Lifetime… reunion tour in 2019 grossed over $584 million, making it the third-highest-grossing tour of all time. The shows reunited Guns N’ Roses members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, who, before reconvening in 2016, hadn’t played a show together since 1993.

Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus opened up about the simmering tension between his band and Green Day during the iconic 2002 Pop Disaster Tour, describing it as a “musical battle” that helped sharpen Blink’s edge at a pivotal time in their rise.

The tour, which paired pop-punk’s elder statesmen with its ascendant newcomers, saw Blink-182 closing each night, despite Green Day being the band Hoppus idolized growing up.

“I literally waited for the day that Dookie came out,” he recalled in a recent interview with NME. “I was in line waiting to buy it.”

By 2002, Blink-182 were riding high off the back of their No. 1 album Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, while Green Day were in a quieter commercial moment between 2000’s Warning and their eventual resurgence with 2004’s American Idiot. That dynamic sparked what Hoppus described as an unspoken competition onstage.

“We walked in thinking we were hot sh–,” Hoppus said. “And Green Day walked in ready to fight — musically of course. They blew us off the stage the first few nights and we were like, ‘Oh s–t, we have to up our game.’ It definitely made us a better band.”

Though he emphasized there was no personal beef — “Billie was super nice to us” — the nightly battle for crowd dominance created a performance arms race.

“It was this back-and-forth about who could put on the better show and who could win people over,” Hoppus explained. “I think I inspired them so much they were like, ‘We have to kill Blink-182 with an awesome album called American Idiot.’”

The story is one of many anecdotes included in Hoppus’ newly released memoir Fahrenheit-182, in which the bassist and vocalist reflects on his cancer diagnosis, pop culture moments, and his decades-long music career.

Blink-182 are currently preparing to hit the road again with Alkaline Trio this fall, with their U.S. tour kicking off Aug. 28 in Hollywood, Fla.

As Saweetie edges ever closer to the release of her debut album, the California native has now announced her debut tour of Australia.
Presented by Primuse Entertainment and Capital Touring, Saweetie’s four-date tour of the country will launch in Perth on July 30, before visiting Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney over the following week.

Saweetie’s popularity in Australia has been proven over the years, with singles such as 2020’s “Tap In” and 2021’s “Best Friend” both hitting the top 40, while 2019’s “My Type” reached the top ten of the Australian Hitseekers chart.

News of her debut Australian tour has also followed a prolific year of singles for the Icy Queen, including “NANi,” which peaked atop Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart last November.

Currently, the eyes of music fans have been on Saweetie as she continues to tease the release of her long-delayed debut album. “Yeah, it’s coming this year,” she told Billboard in February. “I feel like it will really encompass who I’ve grown into over these past couple of years. Lots of stories to tell.”

Having teased the release of Pretty B*tch Music as far back as 2020, the record was initially planned for a 2021 arrival, though has since been delayed. Following the release of single “Is It the Way” in September, Saweetie took to social media to tell fans the record will feature more than ten songs, but that “not all will make the cut,” in reference to the singles previously released in promotion of the album.

“I have experimented with every release this year,” she added in her social media Q&A. “Visually, ‘Is It the Way’ definitely sets the tone for the album tho.”

Close to four decades after it was lifted from the grave site of The Doors‘ late frontman Jim Morrison, a bust of his likeness has been recovered by French police.

The sculpture, created by Croatian artist Mladen Mikulin, was placed on Morrison’s grave in Paris’ Père Lachaise Cemetery to mark the tenth anniversary of his passing, on July 3, 1981. 

However, the bust was stolen seven years later, in May 1988, with Vanity Fair noting that two individuals were reported to have taken the statue after being locked in the cemetery overnight.

After years of rumor and innuendo surrounding its fate, Parisian police have now announced the bust has been recovered, with its rediscovery occurring during a search related to a fraud case. No further details regarding its whereabouts for the past 37 years have been announced, nor has word been shared as to whether it will return to its original location atop Morrison’s grave.

Morrison rose to fame throughout the ’60s as the frontman for Los Angeles-based rock outfit The Doors, with the group releasing six critically-acclaimed albums in just over four years. 

Their self-titled 1967 debut peaked atop the Billboard 200 and spawned the Hot 100-topping single “Light My Fire,” with every one of their albums released during Morrison’s lifetime reached the top ten. 1968’s Waiting for the Sun became their only record to top the Billboard 200, with its accompanying single, “Hello, I Love You,” becoming their second to peak atop the Hot 100.

Morrison would pass away in Paris on July 3, 1971 under murky circumstances at the age of 27. He was buried at the city’s Père Lachaise Cemetery where his grave site swiftly became one of the world’s most-visited memorials of a late musician. 

In February, it was announced that the Paris City Council had decided to name a footbridge overlooking Bassin de l’Arsenal in Morrison’s honor. Just weeks earlier, it was reported that the former Morrison Hotel, made famous by The Doors and their 1970 album of the same name, was significantly damaged by a fire that erupted in downtown Los Angeles.

Sorry, the old “Look What You Made Me Do” can’t come to the phone right now. Why? ‘Cause the song has been fully updated and re-recorded ahead of Taylor Swift‘s upcoming Reputation (Taylor’s Version), and it got its premiere in the latest episode of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale.
The song comes at the very beginning of the new episode, which opens with the handmaids staging an uprising led by June Osborne (Elisabeth Moss) against the Commanders. Soundtracked by the revamped version of the pop star’s Reputation lead single — featuring re-creations of Jack Antonoff’s original synths and thrumming drum beat, plus a new vocal take from an older, more experienced Swift — the women of the show remain stoic as they walk in formation, with June at one point barely escaping into the back of a truck as explosions go off behind her.

Emmy-winning Handmaid’s star and executive producer Elisabeth Moss tells Billboard in an exclusive statement that this musical moment has been a long time coming.

“I’ve been wanting to use a Taylor song for many years on the show and we finally found the perfect spot for a track from her, and I’m so glad we waited because there could not be a more perfect song for a more perfect moment,” says Moss, who attended a Toronto stop of The Eras Tour alongside her Handmaid’s co-star Bradley Whitford last year. “Taylor has been such an inspiration to me personally. As a Swiftie myself, and I think I can speak for [co-star] Yvonne [Strahovski] and our entire cast as well, who are all Swifties, it’s such an honor to be able to use her music in the final episodes of our show.

“I said to my editor, Wendy, ‘I really want to find a place for a Taylor track in the last 2 episodes of the show’ and we wanted to find a music queue for the opening of 9, and all the credit goes to Wendy for picking this track for this moment!”

Emmy-winning Handmaid’s Tale editor Wendy Hallam Martin said sometimes music synchs are just “meant to be,” as they agree this one was.

“In trying many songs for this specific moment in our series and knowing how much Lizzie wanted a strong female voice and message, Taylor was really the artist that delivered both lyrically and tonally,” Hallam Martin tells Billboard in an exclusive statement. “Our badass main character June in this scene, really was saying ‘look what you made me do’ and the song couldn’t have been more on point. A perfect pairing. When I laid the song up against the scene, it just landed perfectly thematically, rhythmically and magically hit all the edit points which sometimes happens if it’s meant to be. I shared it with Lizzie and we both knew immediately that this was the one!”

The feature marks one of the first tastes of Reputation (Taylor’s Version) that Swifties have gotten — and it’s a big one at that. The entire sequence includes the full first and second verses of “Look What You Made Me Do,” plus two choruses.

Released in 2017, “Look What You Made Me Do” was the starting point for Swift’s edgy Reputation era. The track spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the album topped the Billboard 200 for four weeks.

Along with the 14-time Grammy winner’s self-titled 2007 debut album, Reputation is just one of two LPs Swift has yet to re-record as part of her ongoing mission to reclaim the rights to her first six albums’ masters. So far, all four of the re-recordings she has completed — Fearless (Taylor’s Version), Red (Taylor’s Version), Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and 1989 (Taylor’s Version) — have debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

This October will mark two years since Swift last dropped a Taylor’s Version album, with the 1989 re-record, leaving fans antsy for the next one in the sequence. As far as Reputation (Taylor’s Version) is concerned, the musician has only given out a few breadcrumbs so far; in March 2024, she premiered a brief snippet of the revamped “Look What You Made Me Do” in an episode of Apple TV+’s The Dynasty: New England Patriots, and in August 2023, she contributed “Delicate (Taylor’s Version)” to Prime Video’s The Summer I Turned Pretty.

Thanks to a string of possible clues on the pop star’s website and social media accounts. However, a lot of Swifties are convinced that she’s going to announce something — possibly a release date for Reputation (Taylor’s Version) — at the American Music Awards on Memorial Day (May 26).

Indie-rock veterans Guided By Voices have claimed that rumors of their demise are greatly exaggerated, pointing to a forthcoming record as proof.
The prolific Ohio outfit became the center of rumor on Monday (May 19) when a new episode of Lou Barlow’s RAW Impressions podcast unintentionally broke the news. In the latest episode, Lou spoke to Guided By Voices guitarist Bobby Bare Jr. with his wife Adelle, who admitted to having never seen the group live.

In response, Bare noted, “We’re breaking up, you never will.” After Lou adds “You never will, they’re done,” Bare seemingly confirmed the band’s status by adding “We’re never going to play again.”

However, the apparent revelation may have been a case of miscommunication due to technology, with the episode’s description on YouTube noting that it was “loaded with technical difficulties,” and that “the audio is often breaking up.”

Following the news apparently breaking, the episode’s hosts spoke to Brooklyn Vegan to clarify their own thoughts on the matter. “My understanding is that they didn’t have plans to play more live shows,” Adelle explained. “But I think they are still recording! Not broken up. And yea, I had a lot of technical difficulties during the podcast episode.”

Lou echoed this by adding that the group were in the process of making a new record, though he understood that there were to be “no more live shows.”

In the wake of the rumor mill going into overdrive, a representative for Guided By Voices spoke to Rolling Stone to deny that the band were splitting, and even noted that a new album called Thick Rich and Delicious would be arriving on Halloween. Currently, the band have not shared any further information on the upcoming record.

News of a breakup announcement from Guided By Voices wouldn’t be entirely unexpected, however. Having first formed in 1983, the Robert Pollard-led outfit released a total of 15 albums before splitting in 2004 – including their highest-charting release, 2002’s Universal Truths and Cycles, which hit No. 160 on the Billboard 200 and No. 3 on the Heatseekers charts.

After reforming in 2010, a further six albums followed before another split in 2014. Since reforming again in 2016, the group have been immensely prolific, with 19 albums arriving in the past nine years, including February’s Universe Room. Pollard will also release the debut album from his Rip Van Winkle side-project this year, with Blasphemy set to arrive in July.

Giving credence to Bare’s claims about not playing live again, however, Guided By Voices have not performed since an October 2024 show in Dallas, with reviews of that show reporting Pollard had claimed it was to be their final gig. Indeed, no further live dates are listed on their website at the current time.

Post Malone is opposing an attempt by his ex to move their nearly three-year-old daughter permanently to California, saying in a new court filing that the child has lived in Utah most of her life and should remain a resident there.
The star (Austin Richard Post) filed a motion Monday (May 19) to dismiss the custody petition brought in Los Angeles court last month by his ex, Hee Sung “Jamie” Park. Post and Park share a child, referred to anonymously in court filings as “DDP,” who was born in May 2022.

According to the motion, the family lived together in Utah until Post and Park ended their relationship this past November. Park then decided to relocate to Los Angeles, and Post says he agreed to share custody and move the child between California and Utah every two weeks.

In April, however, Post says he learned that Park was planning to file for primary physical custody and change their daughter’s residence to California. Park “rushed to enroll DDP in every type of activity she can” in Los Angeles to demonstrate the child’s residence there, Post claims, even though he says DDP’s nanny and doctor are in Utah and she has long attended daycare, music classes and swimming lessons there.

Post filed a paternity action in Utah on April 14 after learning of Park’s plans, he says. Park then brought her California petition for primary custody two days later, and the singer alleges Park’s petition “intentionally misleads” the Los Angeles judge by failing to mention that the child has lived in Utah nearly her whole life.

“I do intend to work cooperatively with Jamie to ensure that DDP has frequent and equal custodial time with her mother,” wrote Post in his declaration. “I do not consent to Jamie’s back door attempt to change DDP’s residence from Utah to California. I request that the California court admonish Jamie for her lack of candor, gamesmanship in attempting to forum shop, and her intentional action to try to mislead the court about DDP’s home.”

Post wants the California custody petition dismissed. He says the former couple’s dispute should be resolved in Utah, where he was the first to bring a custody action and where their daughter has spent nearly three years.

“Jamie’s conduct of attempting to forum shop to change DDP’s home state without Post’s consent or a Utah court order should not be condoned by the California court,” wrote Post’s attorney, Laura Wasser. “California law provides that, under the facts of this case, DDP’s home state is Utah, and subject matter jurisdiction over her custody remains with the Utah court.”

A judge in Los Angeles County Superior Court is scheduled to consider Post’s dismissal motion in late July. Park’s attorney did not immediately return a request for comment Monday.

Post is currently headlining his Big Ass Stadium Tour and is next scheduled to play U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Tuesday (May 20).

Carín León places his second No. 1 of the year, and fourth overall, on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, as “Ahí Estabas Tú” ascends 3-1 on the May 24-dated list. The new achievement comes only two months after his most recent triumph with “El Amor de Mi Herida.”

“Ahí Estabas Tú” claims the top spot on the overall Latin Airplay chart with 8.2 million audience impressions earned in the U.S. during the May 9-15 tracking week, according to Luminate –that’s a 21% gain from the previous week. The Greatest Gainer-awarded track of the week trades places with Gerardo Coronel ‘El Jerry’’s “No Se Dice,” after the latter drops 1-3 with a 5% dip in impressions (to 8.23 million).

“Ahí Estabas Tú” marks León’s second champ of 2025. Previously the Hermosillo, Sonora-born singer-songwriter took command of Latin Airplay for one week through “El Amor de Mi Herida” (March 22-dated list).

With a second ruler in 2025, León is only the second soloist to have two No. 1s on Latin Airplay this year unaccompanied by another act. Earlier in 2025, Bad Bunny topped the chart twice with his solo tracks “El Clúb” and “Baile Inolvidable,” each reigning for two weeks in February and March, respectively.

In total, four artists have secured two No. 1 hits in 2025 so far. Between Benito’s two chart-toppers, Myke Towers claimed the No. 1 spot with “Otra Noche” featuring Darell, for one week in February. He followed up with another No. 1 hit, “Degenere,” which features benny blanco, leading for one week on the May 3 chart. Meanwhile, Colombian Kapo placed back-to-back champs as “Más Que Tú,” with Ozuna, ceded its place to “Imagínate,” with Danny Ocean, on the April 26 list, both one-week rulers.

Beyond his Latin Airplay coronation, León also takes “Ahí Estabas Tú” to the summit on Regional Mexican Airplay, where it jumps 2-1, his eighth No. 1 overall. He ties Eden Muñoz for the fourth-most rulers among soloists in the 2020s decade. They trail Christian Nodal who leads with 17 No. 1 this decade, Gerardo Ortiz follows with 13, and Alejandro Fernández with 12 leaders.
