This Bestselling Journal Promises to Help ‘Heal Your Subconscious’  — and It’s No. 1 on Amazon

All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. However, Billboard may receive a commission on orders placed through its retail links, and the retailer may receive certain auditable data for accounting purposes.

The journey to self-improvement begins with a single step, and it looks like shoppers are taking plenty of steps toward facing their shadows.

The ShadowWork Journal: A Guide to Integrate & Transcend Your Shadows came out in 2021, but it’s currently No. 1 on Amazon’s “Best Sellers in Dreams” chart. The journal promises to help “heal the deepest parts of your subconscious.”

It’s not easy setting out on a healing journey, and you don’t want to get caught diving into the deepest parts of your subconscious without the proper gear. In The Shadow Work Journal, you’ll find “everything you need to face your shadow side,” including over 30 journal prompts, guided pages to help you confront your shadows, along with interactive shadow work exercises and free space to jot down your thoughts, take notes and more.

The journal, by Keila Shaheen, opens with a “Declaration of Intent” for you to sign and solidify your commitment to the process.

What is shadow work? Your shadow is the subconscious part of your personality that’s usually hidden from the public. Your shadow side is unpredictable though, and can be “trigged in social interactions, relationships, in episodes of anxiety and sadness,” as noted in the journal. This is why shadow work is important.

Swizz psychiatrist Carl Jung is credited with coining the term “shadow” in relation to the multi-facets of the human personality. Jung, a psychiatrist, sociologist and colleague of Sigmund Freud whose interest included astrology, alchemy and quantum physics, developed a form of psychoanalysis known as analytical psychology. Through his studies, Jung concluded that the shadow can be both constructive and destructive and that humans deal with their shadows in one of four ways: denial, projection, integration and transmutation.

Journaling is major component to successful shadow work as it allows you to get your thoughts out, but it can also help get to the root of your issue. According to the Cleveland Clinic, improved mental health, self-esteem and self-acceptance are just a few of the benefits of shadow work.

The Shadow Work Journal earned a 4.3 (out of 5) stars at Amazon with dozens of customer reviews.

“This journal is a complete eye opener,” reads one review. “I’ve started my spiritual journey not too long ago, and the exercises have slapped me across the face so many times. It really does help you dive into your shadow and work with your triggers, trauma, manifestations, all of it. You will cry, you’ll want to burn this book, you’ll want to tear every page from it and scream.”

“This journal has shown me what I needed to improve in myself and the things about me I didn’t know was hidden, it’s a good journal to reflect on oneself to better themselves,” added another review while another called the journal “more helpful than 20 years of therapy.”

“It definitely is emotionally challenging,” the person wrote. “I will say it was worth all the ‘aha’ moments I’ve had working with my shadows. I’ve wholeheartedly recommended this books to friends and family.”

Expected to drop next Friday (Sept. 22), Scarlet will be 15 tracks long and include previously-released songs “Paint The Town Red,” “Demons,” and “Attention.” According to Doja’s caption, the album is set to have “no features.”

Scarlet serves as the follow-up to Doja’s 2021 effort, Planet Her. The album spawned three Hot 100 top ten hits such as “Woman,” “Need to Know,” and her Grammy-Winning collaboration “Kiss Me More” with SZA. She later released the deluxe issue of Planet Her, which generated her single “You Right” with The Weeknd and peaked at No. 11 on the Hot 100.

As for “Paint The Town Red,” the track is the current leader on the Hot 100 and is the first rap song to reach the summit this year. It ended a 54-week drought for the genre, as Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl” was the last rap song to hold the coveted title in 2022. Doja and Minaj previously teamed up for “Say So (Remix)” in 2020 and it became their first No. 1 on the Hot 100, respectively.

Earlier this month, Doja released the terrifying visual for “Demons,” which featured actress Christina Ricci. There, the Hot Pink star continued her torrid streak of fiery raps, spewing lines like: “How my demons look (How your demons)/ Now that my pocket’s full?/ How my demons look/ Now that you b—hes shook? (B—h)/ Yeah, how my demons look/ Now that my pocket’s full?” Doja raps menacingly. “Demons” debuted at No. 46 this week on the Hot 100.

*NSYNC Reunion Rumors, Maluma Catches a Crutch, Cardi B Talks Lil’ Kim Collab & More | Billboard News

After multiple members of *NSYNC were spotted in NYC, fans are hoping they will reunite at the VMAs. Cardi B stopped by Watch What Happens Live and opened up about potentially working with Lil’ Kim, her thoughts on returning to reality TV and more. Plus, Maluma caught a crutch thrown at him while he was on stage!

Rania Aniftos:
A possible *NSYNC VMAs reunion has Millennials losing it online. Cardi B wants to collab with a legend. Maluma catches a crutch on stage and Renee Rapp reveals what’s on her playlist.

Welcome back to Billboard News. It’s Tuesday, Sept. 12. I’m Rania Aniftos, in for Tetris because he’s on his way to New York City chasing a certain rumor about an *NSYNC reunion. The boys of *NSYNC have been spotted in New York City, and it has fans speculating that they may reunite for the VMAs. Here’s what we know: *NSYNC first performed at the VMAs in 1999 with the help of Britney Spears, and the last time Justin Timberlake, J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick all performed together was the 2013 VMAs.

So with most of the boyband members being seen around the Big Apple, fans think that the VMAs would be the perfect setting for the group to reunite. Justin posted pics from the Museum of Modern Art, Lance had dinner with a friend in Manhattan, Joey was spotted by fans in the streets and J.C.’s manager posted a pic of him on a private plane. That just leaves Chris. Has anyone seen him around the tri-state area?

It’s been rumored that *NSYNC recorded new music for Justin’s movie Trolls Band Together, the third installment of the franchise where his character reunites with his childhood boyband.

Trolls Band Together trailer:
“We’re not *NSYNC. We’ve gone from Boys II Men, and now there’s only One Direction for us to go: the Backstreets.

Rania Aniftos:
And the promo even features music from *NSYNC. Fans have been begging for a full reunion after the band — minus JT — joined Ariana Grande on stage at Coachella in 2019. So at this point, we’ll take anything we can get.

Reneé Rapp Shares What’s on Her Playlist | Billboard

Reneé Rapp chats with Billboard and shared what’s currently on her playlists.

Reneé Rapp:
What’s up? My name is Reneé Rapp, and this is my playlist.

My road-trip playlist would be a song called “Colorado” by the very cute blonde girl named Reneé — pretty hot song. It’s all about exploring. Another song on there actually, the whole Golden Hour album by Kacey [Musgraves] is gonna be on there, and then “Top of the World” by The Carpenters will be on there, and so that is my road-trip playlist.

My shower playlist is as follows: “1+1” by Beyoncé, “Bootylicious” Destiny’s Child and “In Love With Another Man” by Jazmine Sullivan.

My workout playlist is the straight-gay icon Charli XCX — right now it’s “Speed Drive.” She’s so hot and so cool and super talented. Anything Megan Thee Stallion, I love to work out to. Oh, probably anything Nicki Minaj, like “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” things like that, like old Nicki I think would be really nice. Also, depending on what kind of mood I’m in, I could work out Taylor Swift. I’d run a mile to “Enchanted.” I’m going fast as f–k.

So yeah, that’s my playlist!

Ice Spice Shows Off 80-Carat Diamond Chain in Honor of Dunkin’ Collab: See the Bling

“Diamonds glisten on my boob/ They gon’ listen to my tune,” Ice Spice raps on “Bikini Bottom,” one of several breakout hits from her debut Like..? EP. Thanks to a new Dunkin’-inspired collaboration, Ice can continue to live out those lyrics, because she just received a major statement piece as a gift.

On Tuesday (Sept. 12), the “In Ha Mood” rapper posted footage of a jaw-dropping diamond chain to her social media pages. In the clips, Ice flaunted a sparkling Eliantte diamond chain that spelled out the word “munchkins.” The video also showed off an Eliantte-branded half-dozen box of doughnuts.

“9.13,” Ice — who is set to present at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 12 — captioned the video on X (formerly known as Twitter), a nod to the date on which she and Dunkin’ will unveil their new collaboration. The high-end jeweler also shared a clip of the diamond-encrusted necklace, captioning it “America Runs on Munchkins” and tagging the artist and brand.

The Eliantte bling gifted to Ice was indeed done with Dunkin’, the coffee and doughnut chain confirmed to Billboard.

The necklace — which took three weeks to make — features “over 80 carats of all-white VVS diamonds,” while the chain is made with 14k white and rose gold. The gem sprinkles on the accessory mimic the pops of color one might find on a Dunkin’ doughnut, and are “natural pink and orange sapphire baguettes, all individually hand-cut to fit the precise measurements needed to create the sprinkle effect.”

Such an iced-out accessory is going to do more than just sit in a display case. “At tonight’s VMAs, Ice Spice will be wearing a unique, one-of-a-kind, bespoke piece created for her by jeweler to the stars, Eliantte,” the brand said in a statement shared with Billboard. “The necklace is a tribute to her unwavering love for her fans and an ode to her authentic connection with Dunkin’ and her latest collaboration with the brand. The Ice Spice MUNCHKINS Drink will be available at Dunkin’ nationwide beginning Wednesday, Sept. 13.”

The brand and the artist first announced the project on Sunday, Sept. 10. Ice posted a graphic of a literal munchkin doughnut wearing a diamond “princess” chain with the caption “america runs on MUNCHKINS.” Given that Ice Spice’s fans are called Munchkins, inspired by her breakthrough single “Munch (Feelin’ U),” the collaboration makes perfect sense.

In just under a year, Ice Spice has earned four top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100: “Karma” (No. 2, with Taylor Swift), PinkPantheress duet “Boy’s A Liar, Pt. 2” (No. 3), “Princess Diana” (No. 5, with Nicki Minaj) and “Barbie World” (No. 7, with Minaj & AQUA). Her Like..? EP reached a peak of No. 15 on the Billboard 200. On July 21, Ice released a deluxe edition of Like..?, which featured the Minaj-ified version of “Princess Diana,” and new tracks including “How High,” “Butterfly Ku” and the No. 41-peaking “Deli.”

Ice Spice is nominated for four VMAs at this year’s awards, including best new artist and push performance of the year (“Princess Diana”). Last week (Sept. 7), the Bronx rapper picked up a pair of nominations at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards: best breakthrough hip-hop artist and best collaboration (“Princess Diana”).

Bebe Rexha Says She Might Not Attend VMAs Due to Anxiety: ‘I’m Not Really Loving Myself Right Now’

Bebe Rexha got vulnerable with fans on Monday (Sept. 11), giving a peek into how her struggles with anxiety affect career opportunities.

The singer is set to present at the 2023 MTV VMAs on Tuesday night (Sept. 12), where she’s also nominated for best collaboration for her song with David Guetta, “I’m Good (Blue),” but she revealed that she might not attend the event at New Jersey’s Prudential Center. “I want to start off by saying that I am very grateful and blessed to be able to be invited to these award shows, to be able to do what I love and I know that the criticism comes with the territory. I am all good with that. Sometimes it does get to me, I am human,” she began her message posted to TikTok.

She continued, “I meet a lot of people, and a lot of times they’ll be like, ‘Oh my God, I love how you’re all about body positivity and confidence — and let me tell you right now, I’m not feeling so confident. I am so anxious and stressed about going on the red carpet and, I guess, people talking about my weight because I’m not really loving myself right now. I’m not really feeling like the bad bitch that I usually am.”

Rexha added that she doesn’t “know if I’m going to go tomorrow,” and asked fans for any motivational tips to help her through the mental health bump. “Anxiety gets the best of me, and that’s why I wanted to make this video,” she said.

The VMAs returns to the Prudential Center on Tuesday, Sept. 12, airing at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. The show will also be simulcast on CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, BET, BET Her, MTV2, VH1, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network. A$AP Relli Files A Lawsuit Against A$AP Rocky And His Lawyer For Defamation

The infighting within the A$AP MOB continues to worsen. A$AP Relli has now filed a lawsuit against A$AP Rocky and his lawyer for defamation.

As spotted on TMZ the man born Terrell Ephron is alleging that his former friend and collaborator has slandered his good name. Rolling Stone Magazine reports that the claim is based on comments both men made after Relli said that Pretty Flacko shot him back in November 2021. A representative for Ephron gave an exclusive statement to Pitchfork concerning the matter. “Yesterday, Terell Ephron filed a defamation suit in Los Angeles Superior Court against Rakim Meyers, also known as A$AP Rocky, and his attorney, Joseph Tacopina of Tacopina Law for statements made to several media outlets in 2022. The statements were false and malicious, and have caused Mr. Ephron extreme reputational and emotional harm which must be remedied. Mr. Ephron looks forward to his day in court.”

While A$AP Rocky has yet to formally respond to this additional lawsuit his legal eagle has and says this is merely a money grab attempt by Relli. “This is actually nothing more than a publicity stunt which is going to backfire badly. I more than welcome this lawsuit especially because the resolution of the criminal case has not happened yet” Tacopina said in a statement to TMZ. “This opens up this extortionist to depositions under oath now before the resolution of the criminal case. It will expose the fraud he committed and unfortunately for his lawyers, it will cause them to be responsible for legal fees in this case. They don’t know the facts of this case or the actions taken by their client. But, I will be more than happy to educate them.”

A$AP Rocky has denied shooting A$AP Relli.

Olivia Rodrigo Holds Her ‘Grudge’ Atop the Hot Trending Songs Chart

A trio of songs from Olivia Rodrigo’s new album Guts top Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart, powered by X, for Sept. 16, paced by “The Grudge” at No. 1.

Billboard’s Hot Trending charts, powered by X, track global music-related trends and conversations in real-time across X, viewable over either the last 24 hours or past seven days. A weekly, 20-position version of the chart, covering activity from Friday through Thursday of each week, posts alongside Billboard’s other weekly charts on Billboard.com each Tuesday, with the latest tracking period running Sept. 1-7.

“The Grudge,” “Pretty Isn’t Pretty” and “Logical” from Guts all land at Nos. 1-3 on the chart. All three are Hot Trending Songs re-entries, coming after they first appeared on the Aug. 12 survey following the tracklist premiere of Guts.

This time, the songs again trended ahead of the album’s release (Sept. 8) thanks to accounts posting about the different songs in anticipation of its official debut to buy and stream.

They reign ahead of Jimmy Buffett’s “Margaritaville,” which debuts at No. 4 following the singer’s Sept. 1 death. Concurrently, the song returns to the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time since 1977 at No. 38, as previously reported.

Buffett’s “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” “A Pirate Looks at Forty” and “Come Monday” also make Hot Trending Songs at Nos. 17, 18 and 20, respectively.

Gary Wright’s “Dream Weaver” and “Love Is Alive” appear at Nos. 9 and 10 — like Buffett, after their singer’s death, in Wright’s case on Sept. 4. Both songs hit No. 2 on the Hot 100 in 1976.

V Goes Black & White for Moody ‘Blue’ Music Video: Watch

V‘s Layover just received a new chapter, this time with the release of the music video for “Blue.” The BTS member dropped the emotive black-and-white visual on Tuesday (Sept. 12).

The video kicks off with V driving a car while wearing a studded black leather jacket, cheetah-print shirt and black jeans. After taking a few calls, he reaches his destination — an apartment complex — and knocks on the door of a unit to no avail. V ultimately grows impatient, staring down an apartment maintenance person (who quickly turns away) and later heading down the stairs of the building, only to repeat the process one more time.

After giving the search a rest, V dejectedly sits at a swing set. A woman later appears with his black and tan Pomeranian dog, Yeontan, who joins him by the swings. The moment, however, doesn’t last long as Yeontan runs off, leash dragging across the concrete.

“Blue” serves as the fourth single from V’s debut solo album, Layover. The set — which includes “Love Me Again,” “Slow Dancing” (plus its piano version), “For Us” and “Rainy Days” — arrived on Sept. 8. With the release of Layover, V became the last of the seven BTS members to release a solo project. The project was additionally crowned fans’ favorite release of the week ending in Sept. 9, raking in 96% of the vote.
