Who’s ready to return to Marvel’s Wakanda? We know we are.

According to The Verge, Disney has announced a bevy of new Marvel shows and series that are set to hit Disney+ in 2024 and among them is a brand new animated series revolving around the legend of The Black Panther and his kingdom of Wakanda dubbed The Eyes of Wakanda. Though other animated shows include the second season of What If…?, X-Men ‘97 and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, people are really excited about The Eyes of Wakanda as it will explore the history of the brave warriors who have taken on the mantle of the Protector of Wakanda throughout the ages and showcase their individual stories.

The Verge reports:

Rather than focusing on a singular Black Panther, The Eyes of Wakanda will tell the stories of multiple warriors who “have been tasked to travel the world retrieving dangerous vibranium artifacts” from different points in the nation’s history.

In the wake of Chadwick Boseman’s death in 2020, Marvel was forced to switch gears abruptly with its live-action Black Panther films in which Letitia Wright’s Shuri has since taken over the titular mantle. Though Black Panther: Wakanda Forever established a new status quo for the films, it’s been unclear how long that might last given the larger multiversal rumbling in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. That could be explored in The Eyes of Wakanda, especially considering how keen Marvel’s been on having its animated shows connect to its live-action projects lately. But it sounds like we’re still a ways out from Marvel and Disney giving everyone a better sense of what the show will bring to the table.

We. Can’t. Wait.

No word on when Marvel’s Eyes of Wakanda will hit Disney+ but best believe we’ll be tuning in once it does because if Wakanda Forever proved anything on Disney+, it’s that people have an appetite for all things Black Panther related.

Are y’all looking forward to Eyes of Wakanda? Let us know in the comments section below.

Warner Music Latin America, OCESA Seitrack and ‘Checho’ Rodríguez Launch Joint Artist Agency

The joint venture, called “Touring the World,” will be helmed by Rodriguez — operating from offices in Colombia, Mexico, Spain and the United States — and will offer artists support in different areas related to touring, brand partnerships, booking and other artist services. It will be supported by Warner Music’s expertise and infrastructure as well as OCESA Seitrack’s massive commercial structure in multiple countries. Touring the World will also have support from its existing artist services company, Get In, which is owned by Warner Music Spain.

The new joint venture, says Warner Music Latin America president Alejandro Duque, “signifies a pivotal moment, as we combine our experience to deliver professional services and global opportunities for artists.”

“This is a joint venture and the vision is for it to be independent,” adds Duque. “We want to avoid conflicts of interest, and for that to work, it has to be an independent agency.”

Not all Warner artists, for example, will be part of Touring the World nor will they be compelled to sign with the agency. By the same token, OCESA Seitrack, which is a massive concert promoter and management company with clients like Alejandro Sanz and Ha*Ash, will continue to operate its other businesses, separate from Touring the World.

Touring the World wants to “expand the concept of booking and provide a solution for artists so they can have both a touring strategy together with branding and sponsorship efforts,” says Alex Mizrahi, CEO and founder of OCESA Seitrack. The company will focus on artists “that are heating up and who we think have global potential.”

The list of artists currently signed to Touring the World include Piso 21, Manuel Medrano, Elena Rose, Yng Lucas, Blessd, Molotov, Lagos and Ximena Sariñana. Of note is that Touring The World is not looking to become a management company or a concert promotion company if one is already in place.

“We don’t want to take away business or management from anyone. We’ll work with existing managers if they’re interested […] But, it’s very important for us to have the best interests of the artists in mind,” says Mizrahi.  “Over the past 20 years at OCESA Seitrack, we’ve meticulously built the touring commercial structure we possess today. This alliance between friends and renowned professionals promises immense benefits for the artists and managers we collaborate with.”

The notion of Touring the World was sparked over a friendly breakfast with Duque, Mizrahi and Rodríguez, a concert promoter who was also a director at GTS, UMG’s artist management and services company for Latin and Spanish artists. Under the GTS model, however, artists are managed or co-managed by GTS, while Touring the World will not be acting as management.

“Touring the World is created by and for artists and their fans,” says Rodríguez, who will oversee teams in Colombia and Mexico and work closely with Spain’s Get In. “This alliance fills me with excitement, standing alongside the finest partners one could ask for.”

Beyond their respective expertise, the partners also bring to the table in-culture and in-country expertise throughout Latin America and Spain.

Iñigo Argomaniz, founder and CEO of Get In, states: “The union of these forces for the creation of ‘Touring the World’ is exciting and will enable a wide range of opportunities to develop the careers of Spanish artists in America.”

Watch Ed Sheeran and Elton John Adorably Exchange Ugly Soccer-Themed Christmas Sweaters

Celebrities, they’re just like us. Look no further than mega-selling pop pals Elton John and Ed Sheeran, who posted a sweet video on Wednesday (Dec. 13) of their annual gift exchange. The 82-second clip opens with Sheeran in a dark blue puffer jacket preparing to go watch a soccer match between Ipswich Town and Watford with John.

“And I’ve brought him some Christmas presents,” Sheeran says. As he arrives at the stadium, Sheeran reveals that he’s gotten John a classic holiday gift: an ugly sweater (or “jumper” as they call them in England.) Asked by his companion if he thinks the famously stylish John will wear it, Sheeran laughs, “I doubt it.”

Cut to the two exchanging packages, Merry Christmases, a hug and “I love you”s before Sheeran shows off his truly terrible Christmas-themed Watford sweater and John proudly holds up his snowflake-decked Ipswich Town top; Sheeran is famously an Ipswich supporter. “Just what I wanted… A Watford jumper!” Sheeran enthuses as John busts out the Ipswich nickname, “come on you Tractor Boys!”

The two then hit the stands, where they perform an impromptu bit of John’s “Your Song” — and Sheeran steals John’s famous spectacles as a prank — before Ed raises his first in victory after his team bested Watford 2-1. An annoyed John, who bought the Watford team in the 1970s and served as its chairman and president for more than 25 years, shakes his head in resignation at the result.

The friends share one more hug and Sheeran sings a bit of their hit new holiday classic, “Merry Christmas,” which went straight to No. 1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart in 2021.

Lady Gaga Children’s Picture Book Coming From ‘My Two Dads and Me’ Author

The life and times of Lady Gaga are the subject of a new children’s picture book titled Lady Gaga: A Little Golden Book Biography. The latest in the series of board books for actual Little Monsters — which has previously included the stories of Dolly Parton, Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, among others — is a 24-page dive into all aspects of Gaga’s rise to stardom.

Due out on Jan. 2, a description of the project promises to, “help your little one dream big with a Little Golden Book biography about pop music icon, actress, and philanthropist Lady Gaga. Little Golden Book biographies are the perfect introduction to nonfiction for young readers — as well as fans of all ages!”

It was written by best-selling children’s book author Michael Joosten (My Two Dads and Me) and illustrated by Laura Catrinella (Stupendously Sampson: Princess Auroras Horse) and is available for pre-order here now; though it’s not out yet, the books is already No. 27 on Amazon’s list of best-selling children’s books thanks to pre-orders.

According to Rolling Stone, the book tells the story of Gaga’s rise from aspiring singer Stefani Germanotta to “playing open mic nights, to appearing on stage at the Grammys and Oscars.” It also chronicles how the singer got her famous Queen-inspired stage name and became both a music and acting superstar, including a section on her Oscar-winning work in A Star Is Born.

Gaga has kept a relatively low profile lately, but she came out on Tuesday night to support her Star co-star, Bradley Cooper, at the Los Angeles premiere of his latest musical adventure, the Leonard Bernstein biopic Maestro. The pair met up on the red carpet, with Cooper rocking a three-piece black suit and Gaga matching his energy with her own tailored black suit with silver bead accents.

Trevor Noah to Host 2024 Grammy Awards, Where He Is Also a Nominee: Only 4 Other Grammy Hosts Have Done That

Trevor Noah will host the 2024 Grammy Awards, which are set for Feb. 4. The comedian made the announcement on his Spotify podcast What Now? With Trevor Noah early on Thursday (Dec. 14).

“I’m hosting the Grammys. I’m excited about that, yeah,” he said on the podcast. “It’s a lot of fun. I enjoy the Grammys because I get to watch the show in person and then experience and comment on it in person while it’s happening.”

This will be the fourth consecutive Grammy telecast that Noah has hosted. As we learned when the nominations were announced on Nov. 10, Noah is also a current Grammy nominee for best comedy album for I Wish You Would. Noah is only the fifth Grammy host who was nominated that same year. And he could become just the second Grammy host to win a Grammy during a show he or she hosted. The first was Kenny Rogers, who won best country vocal performance, male for “The Gambler” on the 1980 telecast.

Noah received his first Grammy nod four years ago for his album Son of Patricia, which was a finalist for best comedy album. But he didn’t host that year; he took over the following year. (Alicia Keys hosted the show where he was a winner.)

Noah will also serve as a producer of the 66th annual Grammy Awards, which will be produced by Fulwell 73 Productions for the Recording Academy for the fourth consecutive year. Ben Winston, Raj Kapoor and Jesse Collins are executive producers. The show will be broadcast live from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on CBS from 8-11:30 p.m. ET/5-8:30 p.m. PT and will be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.

Noah, 40, is best known for hosting Comedy Central’s The Daily Show from 2015-22. He won a Primetime Emmy in 2017 for a hosting a spin-off show, The Daily Show – Behind the Scenes, which was voted outstanding short form variety series.

Here are all the hosts of the live Grammy telecast (which began in 1971) who were nominees that same year.

Selena Gomez Gets a Kiss From Birthday ‘Goddess’ Taylor Swift in New Photo

Viva Taylena!

Selena Gomez celebrated Taylor Swift‘s 34th birthday on Wednesday (Dec. 13) by posting a brand-new photo of the superstar besties. The mirror selfie shows Swift sweetly kissing Gomez’s head.

“Happy birthday to the goddess that is @TaylorSwift,” Gomez captioned her Instagram Story, adding, “I love you” written over the picture.

Judging by their outfits — Swift in a plaid miniskirt and olive-green ribbed sweater and Gomez in a matching snakeskin miniskirt and jacket with a black turtleneck — the photo was taken during their Friday night outing to Ramy Youssef’s comedy show in Brooklyn, which also included Zoe Kravitz, Anya Taylor-Joy and Cara Delevingne.

Swift celebrated her own birthday by gifting fans with the digital release of her Eras Tour film on Wednesday, writing on Instagram: “I had the time of my life fighting dragons with youuuu. Celebrate 34 with me by watching The Eras Tour (Extended Version) including ‘Long Live,’ ‘The Archer’ and ‘Wildest Dreams’ at home!” To finish her message — which included emojis for each song title — Swift wrote, “PS troll me all you want about my excessive and literal millennial emoji use but A) no one’s prouder to be a millennial and B) it’s my bday and today I am exempt!”

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Swift’s home state of Pennsylvania, meanwhile, called on the pop star’s dedicated Swiftie fanbase to donate $13 in honor of their idol’s birthday to a cause dear to her heart. “To honor Taylor and to help animal shelters everywhere who have had a particularly hard year we created this challenge to support not only our lifesaving mission, but efforts across the country,” the caption reads.

Draymond Green Suspended Indefinitely By The NBA, X Reacts

Draymond Green is officially on the shelf, and not even he knows for how long. On Wednesday, December 13, the NBA announced that the Golden State Warriors forward has been suspended indefinitely after he was ejected from a game for “striking” Jusuf Nurkic of the Phoenix Suns in the face.

Ever since the incident, it wasn’t a question of if, but for how long the NBA would ice Green.

ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski, of course, first reported Green’s suspension. “This outcome takes into account Green’s repeated history of unsportsmanlike acts,” reads the NBA’s statement announcing its decision.

Per the NBA, Green is “required to meet certain league and team conditions before he returns to play.” Reportedly, that will include undergoing some form of counseling to be worked out with the Warriors and the NBA.

While Green has long been a divisive player when it comes to whether his on court “passion” (or goon-like tendencies) are necessary, social media can agree that he’s going to catch these jokes. That means assorted discussions like if Jordan Poole (who green punched when they were GSW teammates) is laughing, whether or not Green is washed anyway and should consider the WWE and if the punishment is too little too late.

Anteater Loved His ‘Masked Singer’ Run, But Wasn’t ‘100% Disappointed’ When He Got Booted

SPOILER ALERT: This story contains the identity of the contestant eliminated on Wednesday night’s (Dec. 13) episode of The Masked Singer.

Anteater isn’t gonna lie: His super-awkward costume on The Masked Singer was cumbersome and, frankly, pretty ugly. But the dulcet-voiced veteran singer charmed the judges with his Battle run through Justin Timberlake’s Trolls hit “Can’t Stop the Feeling!,” a Philly soul take on the Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way,” and an energetic Smackdown cover of Toni Basil’s “Mickey.” His gritty ramble through one of his favorite songs, Marc Cohn’s “Walking in Memphis,” cemented early on that this was definitely an A-lister, which might explain the top-shelf guesses.

Robin Thicke was pretty sure it was Jackson Browne or Paul Simon, while Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg was thinking it was either Bob Seger, E Street Band guitarist “Little” Steven Van Zandt or Willie Nelson, and Nicole Scherzinger guessed John Cougar Mellencamp or Bryan Adams. Always-wrong Ken Jeong, as usual, was way off, guessing ’80s pop heartthrob Rick Springfield.

After self-described leftie “short king” Anteater’s final high-energy rip through his childhood favorite, Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode,” on Wednesday’s show, the cat, or ant, was out of the bag. The man behind the long snout was none other than mustachioed Hall & Oates member John Oates; also eliminated on Wednesday night’s season 10 Group C finals was Candelabra (Keyshia Cole), with Donut advancing to next week’s final against Cow, Gazelle and Sea Queen.

Billboard spoke with Oates, 75, before his elimination to find out how he chose the costume, why his intense cardio helped him survive the costume and whether the show has been a welcome distraction from the Hall & Oates lawsuit headlines.

Who came to you with the offer to be on the show? Were you already watching it?

I found out about it through my PR and social media team. Interestingly enough, I wasn’t aware of the show until I did a guest spot on The Goldbergs and [star] Hayley [Orrantia] reached out to me to say I was going to be a clue on The Masked Singer [when she was the Ringmaster in season 7]. I had no idea what she was talking about and then I started watching and said, “Wow!” That was my introduction to the show. I kind of followed it and then when it was a good time for me in between tours … I’m always up for something new and I realized how massive the reach of the show is. Here was a chance to talk to folks like you about my new music coming out in the spring, my single out next week and the charity work I’m doing with Feeding America and Movember.

I’m not gonna lie, John, Anteater is probably the ugliest costume to date so far. Why did you pick that one?

Thank you. That’s what we were going for. I have to be honest, I didn’t like the costume when they showed me the rendering. “Why that?” Then I thought maybe it was a subtle connection between [Hall & Oates’ 1982 hit] “Man Eater” and Anteater, which I thought might be a subtle clue without being a clue. At a certain point they convinced me it’s cool, but I’m still not sure it’s true.

The arms were so long you couldn’t even hold the mic!

I had what I call a “Madonna mic,” the Janet Jackson mic that goes around your ear. The weird thing is I could only flap my arms up and down and it also had gigantic shoes that had a pair of sneakers inside the giant boots. I had to put my foot into the giant boot, so I could barely walk and I couldn’t see.

You’re 75 years old, but you had so much of what the kids calls “rizz” onstage. How did you keep your wind up in that cumbersome costume?

It got challenging near the end, especially during the Smackdown performance, and then I had to sing it again. I ride my bicycle, cross-country ski and hike — so for my age, I’m in really, really good shape. The hardest thing for me was I couldn’t see because they had choreography for me and I had to count out the steps and sing at the same time. I should have gotten a freakin’ medal for that!

You seemed to really get out of your traditional lane with Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” and the Smackdown with “Mickey.” Were you excited to explore some different genres?

The “Mickey” one was too weird. But it’s fun and it’s crazy. I don’t mind being thrown into a situation like that and being on a tightrope. I’ve been singing “Johnny” since I was 6-7 years old when it first came out. It was one of the first songs I learned.

Were any of your friends or family hitting you up knowing it was you?

My wife and my team knew. When I had to go to L.A. to do the show every week for three weeks — I have a lot of friends in L.A. — I would go out to dinner with them and they’re like, “Why are you in town?” I was like, “Oh, I’m doing a TV pilot.” I would do the show all day and then hang with friends and lie to them.

In a way you’re kind of the best singer for the show since people know your vocals from songs like “She’s Gone” and “Time Won’t Pass Me By,” but you kind of slip under the radar by being able to do different styles.

That was one of the things that intrigued me and made me want to do it — the reaction to me singing without knowing my past. Daryl’s vocals are the signature of the big Hall & Oates hits, so I do fly under the radar. It was interesting to see what type of artist they thought I might be: Mellencamp, Bryan Adams, Willie Nelson… that one threw me. It was interesting to see what the reaction would be when they heard someone singing and connect their voice with the image and career without a preconceived notion of who it could be.

The guesses were definitely all over the place and, I assume, kind of flattering? Bob Seger, Wilie Nelson, Paul Simon, John Mellencamp, Bryan Adams, Billy Joel and Rick Springfield?

All people who I really respect and like.

Is this the weirdest gig you’ve ever had?

It right up there! [Laughs] Right up there with when I was inducted into the Mustache Hall of Fame and performed a Halloween show for them where everyone in the audience, including women, wore mustaches. That was weird.

You also said it’s the most fun you’ve ever had. What was so fun about it?

It was just so fun to sustain this secret over a month. During the last episode I was scheduled to play the Newport Folk Festival  — talk about a conflict in styles! — so on Sunday I played a show in the afternoon, took the red-eye and then Monday I started rehearsing and doing choreography. I was wasted, really tired, and it was the last episode. When I got unmasked, I wasn’t 100% disappointed.

Are you bummed you didn’t win? Who do you think has the inside track to win?

It was OK. It was a great experience and I some fun doing it, but when it was done I was pretty happy about that.

Tell me about your “Get Your Smile On” single. It’s such a sweet, old-school soul song, but with a bit of a modern drum machine touch.

It’s a song I wrote during COVID — I wanted to write something really positive — and this is a great time to put it out, with all proceeds from the download of the song going to Teen Cancer America. It’s a good-feeling song and I recorded it all at home on Garage Band.

I know you can’t talk specifics, but has it been fun promoting this show as a distraction from the headlines you’ve been dealing with lately about the catalog dispute with Daryl [Hall]?

Any time I can talk about music and not the other stuff, that’s better.

Well, I hope that all gets resolved and we can see the two of you perform again together someday soon.

Yup, we’ll see.

The Masked Singer season 10 finale will air on Fox on Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. ET.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Hulu Reality Series No Longer in Production

Hulu has scrapped a reality show that was to follow Sean “Diddy” Combs and his family, according to a new report in Rolling Stone. Though it’s not clear when Hulu stopped making the show, the report comes after multiple allegations of sexual assault and abuse were lodged against the rapper and entrepreneur over the past month.

The project, which reportedly had a working title of Diddy+7, was being produced for Hulu by James Corden‘s production company, Fulwell 73, which also works on The Kardashians. A source with knowledge of the situation tells Billboard the show was in its nascent stages and is not currently in production.

Combs has been sued for sexual assault by a total of four women, including his longtime romantic partner, R&B singer Cassie, who accused him of rape and physical abuse, among other allegations. Though that case settled the day after it was filed, Combs was subsequently sued by three more women, all Jane Does, who say the hip-hop mogul sexually assaulted them. In the most recent case filed, the woman says she was “sex trafficked” and “gang raped” by Combs, former Bad Boy Records president Harve Pierre and another man in 2003 when she was 17. A separate case over that alleged incident was filed against Pierre and Bad Boy alleging sexual assault.

Combs has strongly denied all of the allegations; on Dec. 6, he released a public statement that said in part: “Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

In the aftermath of the allegations, Combs stepped down from his role as chairman at Black music TV company REVOLT on Nov. 28. The company simultaneously released a statement saying that while Combs “had previously no operational or day-to-day role in the business, this decision helps ensure that REVOLT remains steadfastly focused on our mission to create meaningful content for the culture and amplify the voices of all Black people throughout this country and the African diaspora.”

According to Rolling Stone, a total of 23 brands have severed ties with Combs’ e-commerce marketplace Empower Global, which officially launched in July, since the allegations came out. The outlet also reports that in the wake of the lawsuits, liquor company Diageo — with which Combs has been embroiled in a bitter legal battle over his DeLeon Tequila brand for months — filed a request asking a judge to deny Combs’ request to control a $15 million marketing budget for DeLeon, which would entail his image appearing in new ads for the spirit.

Combs released a new album, The Love Album: Off the Grid, in September via his Love Records imprint.

Megyn Kelly Calls For Taylor Swift Boycott After She Attended Gaza Fundraising Comedy Show

Megyn Kelly spoke out against Taylor Swift in a recent episode of the conservative commentator’s eponymous show this week, after the pop superstar attended a comedy show that provided “humanitarian relief to the people of Gaza.”

Swift addended stand-up comedian Ramy Youssef’s More Feelings tour stop in Brooklyn, New York, over the weekend along with Selena Gomez. Anya Taylor-Joy, Zoë Kravitz and Cara Delevingne were also among the stars spotted in the audience. Profits from the event benefitted American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), a non-governmental organization that provides humanitarian and development aid to the Gaza Strip.

On her The Megyn Kelly Show, the commentator said that Swift “owes Israelis and Jewish Americans an apology” for attending the show. “I hope they boycott her events until she issues it because attending this thing was wrong,” she said.

“Taylor Swift, who has been out there tweeting about her support for the LGBTQ community, you know what they do to that community in Gaza, Taylor, that you now want to support,” she continued. “Who’s talked about her support for women, her opposition to certain Republican lawmakers who don’t support women in the way Taylor sees fit. You know what they do to women? You know what Hamas likes to do to women? You think we have equal rights over there, Taylor?”

Kelly concluded of Swift: “You clearly know nothing.”

In response, Swifties took to Twitter in frustration. “Taylor going to see a comedy show is not her actively supporting Gaza. this is Ramy actively supporting Gaza,” one fan wrote on X.
