No, contrary to Internet rumors, Taylor Swift did not receive an engagement ring from Travis Kelce for her birthday.

A week after Swift was seen showing off the ring to her friends Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh Sperry, the mystery of her sparkling new jewelry was solved on Thursday (Dec. 21). Turns out, Sperry was admiring her own gift on her pal!

“Love this ring I had made for my friend, she’s bejeweled,” Sperry wrote on her Instagram Stories, alongside a photo of the teardrop-shaped, blue gem-encrusted ring in a red box. In 2021, Adele started dating sports agent Rich Paul, her first publicly confirmed long-term relationship following her divorce from charity entrepreneur Simon Konecki, which was finalized three years after the “Someone Like You” singer first filed the petition in 2019.

In September, Adele made headlines when she referred to herself as the sports agent’s “wife” during her Weekends with Adele residency show at The Colosseum in Las Vegas while chatting about sports. She admitted that she’s “not the greatest wife” to Paul since it’s taken her a while to understand American football, as it’s nonexistent in her home country of England. Neither Adele nor Paul have publicly confirmed their relationship status.

Robbie Robertson, John Williams & More Shortlisted for 2024 Best Original Score Oscar: Full List

The late Robbie Robertson was shortlisted for an Oscar on Thursday (Dec. 21), when the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences revealed the shortlists in 10 categories. Robertson’s name was shortlisted under best original score for his work on Killers of the Flower Moon. A total of 148 scores were eligible, from which this shortlist was culled by members of the music branch, who will also vote to determine the nominees.

This was the 12th and last Martin Scorsese film that Robertson worked on. Robertson, who died in June at age 80, is vying to become the first composer to be nominated in this category posthumously since the legendary Bernard Herrmann was cited in 1976 for both Obsession and Taxi Driver.

The nominations for the 2024 Academy Awards will be announced on Jan. 23. The awards will be presented on March 10. Should Robertson win, he would be the first composer to win posthumously in the category since Larry Russell and Raymond Rasch won for Limelight in 1973, two decades after the film was released.

John Williams was shortlisted for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. This would be Williams’ record-extending 49th nod in a scoring category and his fourth for a film in the Indiana Jones franchise. In total, it would be Williams’ 54th Oscar nomination (the other five are for best original song), which would pull him closer to Walt Disney’s all-time record of 59 for an individual.

Ludwig Göransson was shortlisted for his score for Oppenheimer. The Swedish composer won in this category five years ago for scoring Black Panther. He was nominated for an Oscar last year for co-writing a song for the sequel.

Mica Levi was shortlisted for the critically-acclaimed The Zone of Interest. The English composer was nominated in this category seven years ago for Jackie.

Kris Bowers was shortlisted for The Color Purple, but fell short with his equally touted score for Origin.

Other highly-touted scores that failed to make the shortlist include Past Lives (Christopher Bear, Daniel Rossen), The Peasants (Lukasz Rostowski), The Killer (Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross), Nyad (Alexandre Desplat) and Rustin (Branford Marsalis).

Five films were shortlisted for both best original score and best original song – American Symphony, Barbie, The Color Purple, Killers of the Flower Moon and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

Billie Eilish’s ‘When the Party’s Over’ Returns to Charts Thanks to Nicki Minaj Sample

Billie Eilish’s “When the Party’s Over” returns to Billboard’s charts thanks to its sample in “Are You Gone Already,” the first track on Nicki Minaj’s new album, Pink Friday 2.

The 2018 track bows at No. 25 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs ranking dated Dec. 23. (Older songs are eligible for Billboard’s multi-metric song charts if ranking in the top half with meaningful reasons for their resurgences.) The song earned 2.8 million official U.S. streams – up 13% week-over-week – Dec. 8-14, according to Luminate. Eilish’s track also ranks at No. 14 on Hot Alternative Songs.

“When the Party’s Over” was released in October 2018 and included on Eilish’s debut 2019 album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? The cut reached No. 3 on the Alternative Digital Song Sales in January 2019 and peaked at No. 29 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 that April.

The song’s parent album has earned 7.4 million equivalent album units to date. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in April 2019 and reigned for three weeks.

Minaj’s “Are You Gone Already,” which features a portion of Eilish’s vocal from “When the Party’s Over” pitched up, starts with 10.1 million streams and 4,000 downloads and debuts at No. 60 on the Hot 100. It’s one of 14 songs from Pink Friday 2 on the ranking.

The LP launches at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 228,000 equivalent album units in its first week – the largest frame for a rap album by a woman in the 2020s, and the biggest for an R&B/hip-hop album by a woman this year.

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Alum Farrah Moan Comes Out as Trans: ‘I Feel Proud of Who I Am’

After winning over fans’ hearts during her run on RuPaul’s Drag Race season nine and All Stars season four, Farrah Moan is now ready to tell fans the full, unfiltered truth about her journey with her gender identity.

In the latest episode of fellow Drag Race alum Maddy Morphosis’ interview series Give It to Me Straight, Farrah Moan revealed that she identifies as a transgender woman, and has spent the last four years living as one. “In 2019, unbeknownst to my following, that was when I had made my decision to live my life as a woman,” Moan said.

Speaking with Morphosis, Moan said that she held back on coming out publicly as trans because she feared that doing so would impact her work as a drag queen, or that it could’ve meant that she “would never be on Drag Race,” especially considering that her makeup transformation from “male to female” was part of her brand.

But, Moan revealed that at a certain point in her journey, she knew that something needed to change. “Having a male persona felt more like drag than having to do drag,” she said. “Trying to figure out how to be a cute boy was so much harder for me and came so much more unnaturally, to the point where I was like, ‘I wish I could just go out in drag right now.’ The thought of dressing like a boy was so stressful to me, it stressed me out so much and I resented every masculine feature my whole life.”

Moan says she recognized that she had always felt trans, and that she simply “needed to feel free” when it came to labeling herself. “[Doing drag] was the only time that I could really feel at home in my body.”

After officially coming out as trans to her close friends and family, Moan told Morphosis that, accompanied with all the other changes she’s made in her life — the drag performer recently got sober and started regularly exercising — she feels much better on a regular basis. “My daily anxiety levels are much lower. I don’t feel panicked about it anymore,” she said, before breaking into tears. “I feel proud of who I am, and at 30 years old, I’m actually just so thankful for that, because I really never thought I would.”

Running gear is essential no matter what time of year it is — and having the right equipment for the right season can determine your ability to stay comfortable as you hit each mile. As the temperature cools down, you’ll want to trade your running shorts for leggings and more winter running gear that’ll help keep you warm and grounded as you bound through snow and ice.

It may be tempting to hit the gym on the treadmill during the colder seasons, but for some runners, you can’t get the same experience of jogging outdoors with at-home gym equipment. That means you’ll have to brave the cold and, at times, snowfall if you want to fit your morning run in before work.

The most common winter running gear usually involves a thermal top, lightweight vest or jacket, leggings, gloves and a beanie to keep your ears warm. It’s tempting to want to throw on your parka when the temperature begins to reach peak winter chill, but that added weight may make it harder to run at the pace you’re used to.

Determining the best winter running gear comes down to finding something insulating yet lightweight to prevent you from feeling weighed down. You’ll also want to consider layering things like a thermal top under a light vest or running jacket and some insulating gloves to keep your hands warm.

Rather than hunt for these yourself, Billboard Shopping did the digging to find a mix of some of the best winter running gear to help get you started. No matter what your budget or needs are, there is a list of essentials below to help get you started or refresh your gear as you prepare for your winter running journey.

Jennifer Lopez Says She & Ben Affleck ‘Both Have PTSD’ From Scrutiny During Their First Romance

The craze surrounding “Bennifer” back in the day has left both Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck a little worse for wear, the Marry Me star says.

In a Wednesday (Dec. 20) interview with Variety, Lopez revealed that the public intrigue into her early romance with her now husband back in the 2000s still affects them to this day. “We both have PTSD,” she told the publication.

“But we’re older now,” she added. “We’re wiser. We also know what’s important, what’s really important in life, and it’s not so much what other people think. It’s about being true to who you are.”

The star’s comments come ahead of her long-awaited album This Is Me…Now, which drops Feb. 16 along with her film of the same name. Lopez told Variety that the film will document her relationship with Affleck, noting, “You have to see it and you’ll have to experience it to understand it. That’s why I call it a ‘musical experience.’ Because there’s music, you can see it, you can hear it and then you’ll get to live it.”

After first meeting on the set of their film Gigli, Lopez and the actor got engaged in 2002 before calling off their wedding in early 2004. Many years later, after both parties got married, had kids with other people and divorced, the two rekindled their romance in 2021 and tied the knot in 2022.

“As artists, we have to follow our heart and this is me following my heart and doing something that maybe everybody didn’t think was the best idea,” Lopez said of her upcoming releases. “But I had to do it.”

Pop Culture Rewind: Christmas Songs That Have Gone to No. 1 | Billboard News

Here are the most successful Christmas songs that have gone to No. 1 on the Billboard charts.

Evan Burke:
Oh, it’s definitely that time of the year as Mariah reminded us, but even though everybody increases the spirits on their Yuletide playlist every year during the holidays, only three Christmas tracks have topped the Billboard Hot 100. We tell you who in this week’s Pop Culture Rewind.

In 1958, “The Chipmunks Song” by The Chipmunks with David Seville spent four weeks on top beginning that December. It actually kicked off what would become the multimillion dollar Alvin and the Chipmunks brand and went on to win three Grammy Awards.

When you say Queen of Christmas, only one name comes to mind. Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” first topped the chart in 2019.

It was her record-extending 19th No. 1 song, the most for any solo artists.

Mariah Carey:
Thank you to everyone who’s allowed this song to be part of their holiday soundtrack each year.

Evan Burke:
And just this year, only the third holiday song has ever reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100, and it was Brenda Lee with “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” “Christmas Tree” has come 65 years after the songs released in 1958. And with Brenda 78 years young, she’s become the senior most artist to top the chart. Cheers, Mrs. Lee!

We’ll have another huge moment for you next week in our Pop Culture Rewind.
