PinkPantheress Announces New ‘Stateside’ Single

PinkPantheress announced Friday (April 18) that she’ll release her new single “Stateside” next Friday, April 25.

She partnered with [untitled], which describes itself as “a sacred place for your work-in-progress music,” to tease a snippet of the track while depicting “an accurate representation of how me and my friends listen to this song,” the English singer/songwriter/producer wrote on Instagram.

“Stateside” is set to arrive three weeks after her latest hit “Tonight,” the lead single from her upcoming sophomore mixtape Fancy That, due May 9, 2025 via Parlophone and Warner Records. The saucy club bop debuted at No. 5 on Hot Dance/Pop Songs and No. 25 on Bubbling Under Hot 100 this week (chart dated April 19).

She shared Fancy That‘s nine-song track list earlier this month and said in her Mixmag cover story, “All the music sounds so big and grand and present, and I really wanted to make music where it sounds like a statement is being made with the songs. I feel like that was what appealed to me, and it’s something that I wanted to take on board.”

Fancy That will arrive two years after her debut studio album Heaven Knows, which included her Billboard Hot 100 No. 3 “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2” collab with Ice Spice as a bonus track and reached No. 61 on the Billboard 200, and four years after her debut mixtape To Hell With It, which peaked at No. 73 on the Billboard 200.

Rema Releases Intoxicating Afro-R&B Single ‘Bout U’ Ahead of His Coachella Debut: Stream It Now

Rema is ready to get Coachella weekend one started with his new Afro-R&B single “Bout U,” which he released on Thursday (April 10).

Produced by Rema and London, the intoxicating track finds Rema infatuated by the one he dubs his favorite girl in the world, with a subtle nod to Megan Thee Stallion‘s 2020 hit “Body” (“4:30 in the morning, thinking about you/ And about your archy, body-ody-ody-ody,” he sings in the first verse). He’s determined to let nothing tarnish his dreamy love affair, encapsulated by the song’s sensual melody and striking electric guitar.

“Bout U” is the second single the Nigerian star (real name Divine Ikubor) released this year, following his Sade-sampling “Baby (Is it a Crime)” in February. The single reached No. 3 on U.S. Afrobeats Songs and No. 4 on World Digital Song Sales.

He’ll make his Coachella debut this Sunday, April 13 at the Mojave Tent. His performances during the first and second weekends of the festival are included in his Heis World Tour, which officially kicks off Friday, April 11 at the Edmonton Expo Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, includes stops at major international arenas such as London’s O2 Arena and Paris’ Accor Arena before wrapping on Aug. 3 at Poble Espanyol in Barcelona, Spain. The 23-date international trek is in support of his critically acclaimed sophomore album Heis, which peaked at No. 7 on World Albums and earned Rema his first Grammy nomination earlier this year for best global music album.

GloRilla Recruits Kehlani to Ring in the Holidays with ‘Xmas Time’ Collab: Stream It Now

GloRilla and Kehlani are getting everyone in the spirit for “Xmas Time” with their new collaboration that dropped on Friday (Dec. 13).

“Good luck with yo Mrs dis as merry as I’m getting,” the rapper wrote on Instagram earlier this week while announcing the single with a video of both artists’ animated bobble heads in a festive and fitting snow globe, which marks the first time both artists have been on a song together. “NOT ME IM A P! GOOD LUCK W YO MRS!” the R&B singer responded in the comments.

The two linked up for another video together, this time featuring a mashup of Mariah Carey’s Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 smash “All I Want for Christmas is You” and GloRilla’s “Whatchu Kno About Me,” featuring Sexyy Red.

“Xmas Time” arrives two months after GloRilla’s debut album Glorious, which she released CMG and Interscope. The 15-track project featured collaborations with Latto (“Procedure”); Sexyy Red (“Whatchu Kno About Me”); Muni Long (“Don’t Deserve”); Kirk Franklin, Maverick City Music, Kierra Sheard and Chandler Moore (“Rain Down On Me”), Megan Thee Stallion (“How I Look”), BossMan Dlow (“Step”), T-Pain (“I Luv Her”) and Fridayy (“Queen of Memphis”). It reached No. 2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and No. 5 on the Billboard 200.

Both Glo and Keh both scored nominations ahead of the 2025 Grammy Awards; the former is nominated for best rap song and best rap performance with “Yeah Glo!” while the latter is up for best progressive R&B album (Crash), best R&B song (“After Hours”) and best melodic rap performance (“KEHLANI” by Jordan Adetunji).

The Weeknd & Anitta Deliver ‘São Paulo’ Song & Video: Stream It Now

The Weeknd and Anitta finally delivered their “São Paulo” collaboration on Wednesday (Oct. 30).

The song came along with a new music video, which — as teased in cryptic previews for the collab — featured Anitta with an exaggerated baby bump. In the clip, Anitta’s pregnant belly sings The Weeknd’s parts, with lips emerging where her belly button is.

The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) previously told Billboard Brazil in his cover story that his frequent collaborator Mike Dean had asked Anitta for a vocal recording to complement The Weeknd’s set last October when he performed two nights in São Paulo during his After Hours Til Dawn Tour. “What she sent was so awesome that we created the song,” the “Blinding Lights” hitmaker said. The two debuted “São Paulo” in the titular city’s Estádio MorumBIS on Sept. 7 during a special one-night-only show that was livestreamed. “We knew it was too special to just play on stage. We saw great potential in the song and found the beat, which is the heart of the show,” he added of “São Paulo.”

“I wrote some verses as a joke and never imagined they would become serious. Suddenly, I received the finished song. I loved it! I felt very honored and flattered,” Anitta told Billboard Brazil. “I’ve always been a big fan of his and his work. I never imagined this would happen, and now it’s a dream come true. It’s a little more Brazilian funk, as promised, around the world.”

He premiered other new songs from his upcoming album Hurry Up Tomorrow, including “Dancing With the Flames” and “Timeless” with Playboi Carti that have since been released. The former reached No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the latter peaked at No. 3, making it The Weeknd’s 19th top 10 hit and highest-charting debut on the all-genre songs tally and Carti’s fifth top 10.

Wizkid Pairs Up With Brent Faiyaz on ‘Piece of My Heart’ Single: Stream It Now

Wizkid has partnered with Brent Faiyaz on his new single “Piece of My Heart,” which was released on Friday (Oct. 18). It’s the lead single from Wizkid’s upcoming sixth studio album Morayo, which will be released on Nov. 22 via Starboy/Sony Music International/RCA Records.

The two artists were recently spotted in London together, with Wiz sharing a snippet of the song on Instagram. “Nothing can tear us apart/ You’ve got a piece of my heart/ Nothing can tear us apart (Nothing in this world)/ You’ve got a piece of my heart (That belongs to you girl),” Faiyaz sings in the chorus.

Wizkid has only been featured on a couple of collaborations this year, from “MMS” with Asake on his third album Lungu Boy to “Work Me Out” with Shenseea on her sophomore album, Never Gets Late Here. The only collaboration Faiyaz was a part of this year was “Should’ve Wore a Bonnet” with 21 Savage on his third album, American Dream.

Both artists, however, have a few common collaborators, from Don Toliver — both were featured on his 2023 album, Love Sick, with Wiz on “Slow Motion” and Faiyaz on “Bus Stop” — to Tems. Both Nigerian artists famously linked up on “Essence,” the sultry Afrobeats-meets-R&B smash that peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, thanks to a remix with Justin Bieber, and the R&B crooners came together on “Found” from her 2021 EP If Orange Was a Place, which reached No. 17 on Hot R&B Songs.

Morayo, which is a Yoruba word for “I see joy,” will arrive two years after Wiz dropped his fifth album More Love, Less Ego in 2022, which reached No. 59 on the Billboard 200 and No. 2 on World Albums.

The Weeknd Announces New Single ‘Dancing in the Flames’: Here’s When It Arrives

The rollout for The Weeknd‘s Hurry Up Tomorrow album is well underway, as he announced Monday (Sept. 9) that lead single “Dancing in the Flames” will be released on Friday.

The Weeknd performed “Dancing in the Flames” and more new Hurry Up Tomorrow tracks for the first time at his special one-night-only São Paulo, Brazil show last over the weekend. The Weeknd also debuted collaborations with Billboard‘s current cover star Playboi Carti, who accepted the Artist of the Year Award at the Billboard‘s 2024 R&B Hip-Hop Power Players event last week, and Brazilian star Anitta. Hurry Up Tomorrow is the third and final installment of The Weeknd’s latest After Hours and Dawn FM trilogy.

The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) also previewed the music video, which will also drop this Friday, in an Apple spot for the iPhone 16 Pro.

“I can’t wait to see your face/ Crash when we’re switching lanes,” he sings while blissfully driving a red convertible. Director of photography Erik Henrikkson explains how shooting in 4K 120 fps (frames per second) “was really a game changer” for “ceating epic shots in slow motion,” as demonstrated by the superstar running through the rain in slow motion with his feet gradually stepping into puddles. “We felt we didn’t have to play it safe. We just pushed it as far as we normally do,” Henrikkson continues. And they certainly didn’t play it safe, as The Weeknd appears to be flung out of the car, with glass shattering everywhere, in one of the shots.

The video is directed by Anton Tammi, who also helmed the iconic music videos for his After Hours era, including for his Billboard Hot 100 No. 1s “Blinding Lights” and “Heartless.”

Ice Spice Shares Smoky Video Snippet of ‘Gimmie a Light’ Single

Ice Spice gave her beloved Munchkins a sneak peek of her upcoming single “Gimmie a Light” Wednesday (May 8) with a super smoky video clip.

In the 15-second snippet, Spice is riding in the back of a hot pink Range Rover — which is sporting a “Y2K” license plate in honor of her upcoming debut studio album — while thick clouds of marijuana smoke rolling out of the side windows. The sample of Sean Paul’s Billboard Hot 100 No. 7 smash “Gimme the Light” from his 2002 sophomore album Dutty Rock starts off the clip before she raps (with a joint in her hand, of course), “Hotbox in the V like gimme a light!”

“Gimmie a Light” arrives this Friday, May 10 via 10K Projects and Capitol Records, four months after Spice’s last solo single “Think U The S— (Fart),” which debuted at No. 37 on the Hot 100 — making it her highest-charting solo single to date. She debuted the song during her Coachella festival performance last month. She’s slated to drop her first full-length album Y2K later this year, following her debut EP Like..? that she released in January 2023. The project (which got a deluxe release last July) reached No. 15 on the Billboard 200.

She also recently hopped on the remix of Cash Cobain and Bay Swang’s viral song of the summer contender “Fisherrr,” which debuted at No. 11 on Bubbling Under Hot 100 this week (chart dated May 11).

Blxst Taps Feid for His First Multilingual Collaboration With ‘Rewind’: Listen

Blxst and Feid linked up for the vibrant cross-cultural collaboration “Rewind,” which dropped Thursday (March 28) via Evgle and Red Bull Records.

“Rewind” is the kind of song you want to dance with your significant other to at the club on a warm summer night you wish to relive over and over again. It marks Blxst’s first multilingual collaboration and his first foray into the Latin music space. His West Coast hip-hop flow meets Feid’s signature reggaetón style, as “Rewind” brings out the best of both of their words.

“Come take a shot with me tonight/ Dance till we can’t beneath the light/ Like we never left when we collide/ Let’s celebrate, toast and drink to life,” Blxst sings before Feid swoops in, “No me importa la hora donde estás/ Bebé como es de rico recordar/ Esta noche sólos you and I/ Te quiero sentir then press rewind” — which translates to “I don’t care what time it is where you are/ Baby, how delicious it is to remember/ Tonight just you and I/ I want to feel you then press rewind.”

The “Chosen” hitmaker first teased his collab with Feid in January with a TikTok video of them vibing in the studio, and he shared a snippet on the video-sharing platform earlier this week. “Nothing better than two cultures colliding,” Blxst said in a press release. “This song will keep you dancing forever.”

“Rewind” marks Blxst’s first new music release since his “Heart Ain’t Empty” single from January. He last dropped a project, Before You Go, in 2022. The 13-track set featured collaborations with Arin Ray, Rick Ross, Grandmaster Vic and Zacari and reached No. 90 on the Billboard 200.

Blxst is also slated to perform at Coachella for the first time next month.

Kehlani Shares Dance-Worthy Snippet of Upcoming ‘After Hours’ Single

New snippet alert! Kehlani teased their upcoming single “After Hours” Monday (March 25), and it sounds like the perfect vibe for being outside.

She reshared a TikTok video on Instagram of the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter getting amped in the gym but getting her knees ready for the club. “We don’t gotta take it slow/ I’mma hit the gas if you’re ready to go/ I wanna speed it, breathe into your clothes/ The way you touch my neck got me ready to fold,” she sings over what sounds like a sample of Nina Sky‘s 2004 Billboard Hot 100 No. 4 single “Move Ya Body,” featuring Jabba. Kehlani has yet to reveal when “After Hours” will be released.

They haven’t released new solo music since their 2022 album Blue Water Road, which featured collaborations with Justin Bieber, Jessie Reyez, Syd, Blxst, Thundercat and Ambré. The 13-track LP peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 and No. 8 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Kehlani also embarked on the Blue Water Road Trip following the album’s release, marking her first tour in five years since the SweetSexySavage World Tour.

Kehlani signed with Wasserman Music for global representation last September, with agents Brent Smith and Eli Gelernter serving as her representatives at the company. They are managed by David Ali at Above Ground Management and signed to Atlantic Records.

Normani Announces ‘1:59’ Single Featuring Gunna

New Normani is officially on the way, as the singer announced her new single “1:59,” featuring Gunna, appropriately at 1:59 p.m. ET on Saturday (March 23).

“soo basically my first single 1:59 will be coming out 4/26,” she captioned a post on X (formerly Twitter).

“1:59” will arrive April 26 via RCA Records. It will be the first single Normani has dropped since announcing her debut album Dopamine one month ago.

“cryingg typing this rn. DOPAMINE THE ALBUM,” she captioned her Feb. 21-dated Instagram post, which features the black-leather bikini-clad singer riding on top of a black rocket. But when inquiring minds on X (formerly known as Twitter) circled back with the singer regarding her silence after the initial album announcement, she sent a follow-up message: “Hi, Thank you for your patience. This matter will be addressed tomorrow at 1:59pm EST. – Management.”

The ex-Fifth Harmony member has yet to reveal the release date of her album, but it will come out sometime this year. In her recent Who What Wear cover story, she said, “The album feels like liberation, like a season of freedom. Not just because the record is finally coming out, but because it’s a celebration of everything I have been through to get to this moment.”

Since embarking on her solo career in 2018, Normani has released only seven singles as a lead artist, with 2019’s “Motivation” and 2022’s “Fair” being the only songs she’s released without another artist on it. She’s had two Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hits with the Sam Smith-assisted “Dancing With a Stranger” (No. 7) and the Khalid-assisted “Love Lies” (No. 9). “Motivation” and “Wild Side,” featuring Cardi B, have also charted on the Hot 100, peaking at No. 33 and No. 14, respectively.
