“Creepin’” is a partial cover of the 2004 Billboard Hot 100 No. 2 hit “I Don’t Wanna Know” by Mario Winans, featuring Enya and Diddy — who reprises his role as a feature nearly two decades later — which is based on a sample of the Fugees‘ 1996 hit “Ready or Not,” which in and of itself contains a sample of Enya’s 1987 track “Boadicea.”

The original “Creepin’” has spent the last 10 weeks in the top 10 of the Hot 100, peaking at No. 3. “Creepin’” was featured on Metro Boomin’s latest album Heroes & Villains, which was released on December 2, 2022. The project peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts.

Diddy and Metro both shared behind-the-scenes shots of the upcoming “Creepin’” music video and a comic book-like graphic of the four artists, respectively, on their Instagram acccounts ahead of the remix’s arrival.

The Cure’s Robert Smith Negotiates Refunds From Ticketmaster on ‘Unduly High’ Fees

Robert Smith’s furious tweet spree on Ticketmaster’s fees “debacle” for the Cure‘s forthcoming North American tour has had the desired effect — a “gesture of goodwill” from the ticketing giant and the promise of some money returned.

Earlier in the week, Smith unloaded on Ticketmaster when the band’s fans complained that fees attached to the Lost World North American tour were most costly than the price of a ticket.

The problems emerged Wednesday (March 15) when tickets were made available to those who had registered for Ticketmaster’s “verified fan” sale.

Smith went on the attack when, in some cases, the added-on service fees, facility charges and order processing fees added up to more than the cost of entry, all despite the band offering reasonably-priced tickets for the trek and ensuring the tickets will be non-transferable to minimize resale and keep prices at face value.

“I AM AS SICKENED AS YOU ALL ARE BY TODAY’S TICKETMASTER ‘FEES’ DEBACLE,” Smith blasted in one all-caps broadside against Live Nation sister company. “TO BE VERY CLEAR: THE ARTIST HAS NO WAY TO LIMIT THEM. I HAVE BEEN ASKING HOW THEY ARE JUSTIFIED. IF I GET ANYTHING COHERENT BY WAY OF AN ANSWER I WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW.”

He got an answer, and he let them know.

“AFTER FURTHER CONVERSATION, TICKETMASTER HAVE AGREED WITH US THAT MANY OF THE FEES BEING CHARGED ARE UNDULY HIGH, AND AS A GESTURE OF GOODWILL HAVE OFFERED A $10 PER TICKET REFUND TO ALL VERIFIED FAN ACCOUNTS FOR LOWEST TICKET PRICE (‘LTP’) TRANSACTIONS,” writes Smith in the first of a new batch of tweets.

“AND A $5 PER TICKET REFUND TO ALL VERIFIED FAN ACCOUNTS FOR ALL OTHER TICKET PRICE TRANSACTIONS, FOR ALL CURE SHOWS AT ALL VENUES;” he continues. “IF YOU ALREADY BOUGHT A TICKET YOU WILL GET AN AUTOMATIC REFUND; ALL TICKETS ON SALE TOMORROW WILL INCUR LOWER FEES.”

In a separate tweet, Smith confirmed that “Verified Fan” ticket sales have now ended.

The legendary British goth-rock band’s Shows of a Lost World North American tour will span 30 dates, kicking off May 10 at New Orleans’ Smoothie King Arena.

The Cure took their place in the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2019, with Trent Reznor on hand to induct the group.

NCT 127 Notches Fifth Top 10 on Album Sales Chart With ‘Ay-Yo’

NCT 127 notch their fifth top 10-charting set on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart (dated March 18) as Ay-Yo: The 4th Album Repackage debuts at No. 2. It’s the fifth total, and consecutive, top 10-charting effort for the pop ensemble. All five have peaked within the top two positions of the chart.

NCT 127 last debuted on Top Album Sales with their fourth album, 2 Baddies, last year. That set was later repackaged, had three new bonus tracks added, and retitled as Ay-Yo. It initially reached streamers and digital retailers in January, but its CD release didn’t happen until March 3.

Ay-Yo sold 29,000 copies in the U.S. in the week ending March 9, according to Luminate. CDs comprise effectively all of Ay-Yo’s sales for the week. Like many K-pop releases, the CD configuration of Ay-Yo was issued in collectible deluxe packages, each with a standard set of items and randomized elements (covers, photocards, posters, stickers). The album was not available in any other physical format.

Also in the top 10 of the new Top Album Sales chart, Morgan Wallen, Kali Uchis, De La Soul, Macklemore and Daisy Jones & The Six all debut albums in the region.

Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart ranks the top-selling albums of the week based only on traditional album sales. The chart’s history dates back to May 25, 1991, the first week Billboard began tabulating charts with electronically monitored piece count information from SoundScan, now Luminate. Pure album sales were the sole measurement utilized by the Billboard 200 albums chart through the list dated Dec. 6, 2014, after which that chart switched to a methodology that blends album sales with track equivalent album units and streaming equivalent album units. At No. 1 on Top Album Sales, Morgan Wallen lands his second leader, and best sales week yet, as One Thing at a Time bows with 111,500 copies sold. That sum easily outpaces his previous highest sales frame when his last album, the chart-topping Dangerous: The Double Album, launched with 74,000 copies sold in January of 2021.

Kali Uchis logs her first top 10 and biggest sales week as her new studio set Red Moon in Venus enters at No. 3 with 28,000 sold. Of that sum, nearly 14,000 comprise vinyl sales – enabling the set to debut at No. 1 on the Vinyl Albums chart.

De La Soul’s debut album 3 Feet High and Rising, released in 1989, enters Top Album Sales at No. 4 after the long-out-of-print set was reissued on physical formats and made its digital retail debut on March 3. The album sold 21,000 copies in the week ending March 9, with almost 14,000 of that sum from vinyl LP sales (it bows at No. 2 on the Vinyl Albums chart). On the Billboard 200, 3 Feet High and Rising originally peaked at No. 24 in 1989 but hits a new high on the March 18-dated chart, where the set re-enters at No. 15, its first week in the top 20.

Macklemore’s new album Ben bows at No. 5 on Top Album Sales, selling 14,000 copies in its first week. It’s his second solo top 10-charting set, following Gemini in 2017, which peaked at No. 2. As one-half of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, the duo visited the top 10 twice, with This Unruly Mess I’ve Made (No. 3 in 2016) and The Heist (No. 2 in 2012).

Four former No. 1s are next on Top Album Sales, as TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s The Name Chapter: Temptation falls 4-6 (11,000; down 23%), Taylor Swift’s Midnights dips 5-7 (10,000; down 8%), Gorillaz’s Cracker Island drops 1-8 in its second week (nearly 10,000; down 80%), and P!nk’s Trustfall slips 3-9 (9,000; down 47%).

Rounding out the top 10 is Daisy Jones & The Six’s Aurora, debuting at No. 10 with 8,000 sold. The album doubles as the soundtrack to the Amazon Prime Video series Daisy Jones & the Six, about the fictional rock band of the same name. The series stars Riley Keough (as the character Daisy Jones) and Sam Claflin (The Six member Billy Dunne), who sing lead vocals on the Aurora album.

In the week ending March 9, there were 1.979 million albums sold in the U.S. (up 6.9% compared to the previous week). Of that sum, physical albums (CDs, vinyl LPs, cassettes, etc.) comprised 1.524 million (up 3.4%) and digital albums comprised 455,000 (up 20.4%).

There were 667,000 CD albums sold in the week ending March 9 (up 9.9% week-over-week) and 847,000 vinyl albums sold (down 1%). Year-to-date CD album sales stand at 6.192 million (up 1.3% compared to the same time frame a year ago) and year-to-date vinyl album sales total 8.815 million (up 25.6%).

Overall year-to-date album sales total 18.65 million (up 7.8% compared to the same year-to-date time frame a year ago). Year-to-date physical album sales stand at 15.1 million (up 14.3%) and digital album sales total 3.549 million (down 13.1%).

This year, alongside performing on their own Lover’s Game Tour dates, they will be opening shows for Chris Stapleton — something Michael says happened after The War and Treaty’s performance of The Rolling Stones’ “It’s Only Rock & Roll (But I Like It)” with Brothers Osborne at the 2022 CMA Awards.

“When we got off the stage and went back to our seats, Chris was standing there with Morgane, his wife, and they were like, ‘We have to do something together.’ And it’s so cool because Morgane was like, ‘We should go on tour, right?’ And Chris goes, ‘Yep, we should.’ And Patty Loveless goes, ‘Make sure they take you on tour.’ So they are taking us on tour.”

They also talked about being nominated for a CMT Music Award in the group/duo video of the year category, alongside fellow artists Dan + Shay, Lady A, Little Big Town and more. Michael Trotter Jr. said he hasn’t felt a super-competitive environment in country music, but rather one of love and support.

“I think that’s what’s so special about country music — you don’t feel it and it really isn’t. Everybody gets so amped up when you’re nominated, so I feel like a big ol’ family and just honored to be nominated.”

Of course, both Michael and Tanya have been performing for years — and Tanya spoke of her notable role in the 1993 film Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, including an iconic scene where she performs “His Eye Is on the Sparrow” alongside Lauryn Hill.

“I’m really grateful that people still remember and it’s surprising that it’s still a big deal in pop culture” she said. With a Sister Act 3 film seemingly in the works, she says she still keeps in touch with some of her fellow actors from the film.

“Everybody’s just kind of up in the air — where it goes, we don’t know,” she says.

It’s been just three days since Drake announced his It’s All a Blur tour with 21 Savage, but the demand is so high that he has already added 14 additional dates to the upcoming North American trek.

On Thursday (March 16), Drizzy added second shows in Houston, Dallas, Miami, Detroit, Montreal, Washington, DC, Seattle, Vancouver, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Las Vegas — as well as third shows in Brooklyn, New York City and Inglewood, bringing the tour to a massive 42 shows this summer. The tour will kick off on June 16 in New Orleans, and will wrap on Sept. 5 in Glendale, Ariz.

The shows in Drake’s hometown of Toronto, Canada, will be announced at a later date.

The tour is the “Jimmy Cooks” artist’s first since his 2018 trek, Aubrey & the Three Amigos. According to the press release, as the title suggests, the It’s All a Blur Tour is “a celebration of the last decade.”

Tickets for the new dates will be available at the general onsale, which kicks off Friday (March 17) at noon local time on DrakeRelated.com.

Louis Tomlinson introduced a new side of him to the world at Thursday’s (March 16) London premiere of his upcoming documentary, All of Those Voices, and his One Direction bandmate Liam Payne was there on the red carpet to support.

In videos shared by fans to Twitter, Payne is seen taking photos and waving to fans as he walks into the premiere, shortly after Tomlinson himself also made his appearance.

The Charlie Lightening-directed All of Those Voices, out in theaters on March 22, will delve into Tomlinson’s life and musical journey, complete with never-before-seen home video footage and behind-the-scenes access to the star’s 2022 world tour.

In a previously released first look, Tomlinson discusses his days in 1D and how he grew to be the member with the most songwriting credits. ““All of a sudden, I felt in control again. The first two and a half years, I just felt like I wasn’t in control of myself or certainly had an influence on the band,” he said of writing songs while in the group. “When I think about how proud I am of One Direction, I think of us as a collective. When I think about what makes me most proud as me as an individual in that band, is definitely having the most writing credits. That makes me feel important to the band, and that’s all I ever wanted when I was a lad.”

Porter Robinson, Kevin Saunderson & Disclosure Among More Than 100 Artists to Be Featured in Daft Punk Book

Daft Punk‘s influence on electronic music is undeniable and unparalleled. Now, a cavalcade of artists will share their takes on the French legends’ sound and legacy.

The forthcoming book After Daft: The Rewiring of 21st Century Culture will include interviews with an A-list lineup of electronic artists, including Porter Robinson, Kevin Saunderson, Disclosure, The Blessed Madonna, DJ Minx, Madeon, Pedro Winter, Peaches, Junior Sanchez, Girl Talk and many more. Coming in March 2024, the book will be a deep dive into the Daft Punk universe, exploring the duo’s inner-workings and mass appeal. A press release notes that the book will go “deeper than ever before on the creative vision which established the French duo’s legend and the factors that precipitated their split. The project also takes a wide-angle lens to the past 30+ years of technological changes and musical evolution, with insight drawn from over 100 artists, DJs, studio specialists, filmmakers, designers, record labels and concert promoters who helped propel dance & electronic music’s surging influence within pop culture.”

After Daft is being written by Gabriel Szatan, a music and culture journalist whose work has appeared across publications including The Guardian, Pitchfork, DJ Mag and Dazed. (Szatan has also contributed to Billboard.) He formerly served as Tidal’s head of dance & electronic and Boiler Room’s former
editor-in-chief and senior curator.

“We went into the project wondering: what if there was a fresher and more compelling way to frame this transformative age in culture?” Szatan says in a press release. “That’s why After Daft is artist-led, to tell an authentic story through the eyes of those who shaped it: musicians from different backgrounds and disciplines whose lives interacted in fascinating ways, undersung creatives who oil the industry machine, as well as countless artists that thrived as the ceiling was raised on dance & electronic music’s creative possibilities and immense global popularity.”

Meanwhile, Daft Punk announced that an expanded edition of their 2013 classic Random Access Memories is coming this May. The project will include 35 minutes of additional material across nine tracks, including unreleased demos and studio outtakes

Dina Lohan Says Lindsay Lohan’s Baby Bump Is Already Showing: ‘She’s Always Wanted Children’

Lindsay Lohan‘s mother, Dina Lohan, is beside herself with excitement that her oldest daughter is about to be a mom.

Speaking with People on Thursday (March 16), the Lohan matriarch — who already has one grandchild from son Michael Lohan Jr. — shared some of Lindsay’s thoughts, as well as her own, about the pregnancy.

While Dina shared that the due date will remain under wraps for the duration of Lindsay’s pregnancy — “I cannot tell, I will be in trouble!” she told the outlet — she did, however, reveal that the Mean Girls actress’ baby bump has already begun to show.

“Lindsay has always loved kids, because I love kids and my mother loves kids; I’m one of four,” Dina explained. “We have a big family, so she’s always wanted children. And she’s so maternal. Isabelle, her niece, just runs to her when she sees her.”

Lindsay’s pregnancy comes less than a year after she and husband Bader Shammas tied the knot. Dina says the baby could not have come at a more “perfect” time for the couple, as they had been hoping for a baby for a while.

“She’s been trying and then it happened, that little stick came up positive,” Dina said. “It’s the right time for her, and Bader is an angel. Her husband is so sweet and they’re just so happy. They’re just really happy and ready.” As for Shammas’ reaction to the news? “He’s so happy,” she added.

“I’m literally over the moon. I’m so happy, I can’t stop smiling,” said Dina, 60. “It’s incredible. We’re just so excited. It’s just such a beautiful thing for my child! And I love babies. Who doesn’t?”

The 36-year old actress revealed that she and Shammas were expecting via a Tuesday post on Instagram, in which she shared a photo of a white onesie with the words “Coming Soon …” in black printed on it. “We are blessed and excited!” Lindsay captioned the photo, ending her message with prayer hands, gray heart, baby face and baby bottle emojis.

Following Lohan’s baby announcement, several stars flocked to the comments section of her post to wish her well, including Paris Hilton, Donatella Versace, Quinta Brunson, Amanda Seyfried and more. Ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson also reacted to the news, stating that she wished her “all the best.”

The “Anti-Hero” singer took to social media to share a series of photos of herself rehearsing her set onstage, dressed in olive-colored cargos, a black crop top and, of course, a red lip. “In my Eras era,” she captioned the post, which also included a photo of her multi-colored nails, which seems like each fingernail represents one of her 10 studio albums.

Swift also shared a sweet picture to her Instagram Stories of a hand-made “All Access” credential she made for her father. “D.O.H. Pass (Dad of Headliner),” the pass reads, as Swift jokingly wrote underneath, “We are a small family business.”

Her dad, wearing his new pass, then teamed up with Swift’s mom to put crystals on their famous daughter’s Fearless-inspired guitar “with super glue and a free afternoon.” Check out the multi-Grammy winner’s recap of her last rehearsal day on her Instagram Stories before they disappear here.

Earlier in the day, the “Blank Space” superstar surprised Swifties by announcing that she would be dropping four new songs ahead of her tour kickoff. “In celebration of The Eras Tour I’m releasing 4 previously unreleased songs tonight at midnight,” she revealed on her Instagram Stories. The four tracks include re-recordings of Swift’s dual contributions to the 2012 soundtrack to The Hunger Games — “Eyes Open” and “Safe & Sound” featuring Joy Williams and John Paul White — as well as “If This Was a Movie (Taylor’s Version)” and never-before-heard song “All of the Girls You Loved Before.”

John Summit & Hayla Hit Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Top 10 With ‘Where You Are’

DJ/producer John Summit and singer Hayla jump onto Billboard‘s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated March 18) at No. 9 with “Where You Are.” The first top 10 for both acts, “Where” starts with 1.9 million streams and 1,000 in download sales in the United States March 3-9, according to Luminate.

The collab amounts to Summit’s eighth total appearance, a run that began with “Deep End” (No. 26 peak, December 2020). Until now, that song and “Human,” featuring Echoes (March 2022), were tied as Summit’s highest-peaking tracks.

“Where” brings the second appearance for Hayla, the featured vocalist on Kx5’s “Escape” (No. 11, last June).

Concurrently, “Where” enters at No. 4 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart, matching the high of “Escape” last year. Summit scores his second and top-charting top 10, following “La Danza” (No. 10, March 2022).

On Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, “Where” debuts between two other newly-arriving collabs: Marshmello and Manuel Turizo‘s “El Merengue” (No. 6) and Oliver Tree and David Guetta‘s “Here We Go Again” (No. 10). The former, as previously reported, marks Marshmello’s first entry on a Billboard Latin chart.

“Here” is Oliver Tree’s second top 10, following “Miss You,” with Robin Schulz (No. 4, November). “Here” is Guetta’s landmark 20th top 10, the fourth-most among all acts since the chart premiered in January 2013; Kygo leads with 24, followed by The Chainsmokers (22) and Calvin Harris (21).

The track also extends Guetta’s record for the most Hot Dance/Electronic Songs hits overall to 75 (ahead of Kygo, with 61). “Here” bows with 1.8 million U.S. streams.

Further on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, a fourth notable team-up, Martin Garrix and JVKE‘s “Hero,” leaps 33-17. The track earns top Streaming Gainer honors with 872,000 streams, up 48%, in the wake of the March 3 release of new remixes by DubVision and Space Ducks. The rank is the closest that “Hero” has been to its No. 13 best in two months.
