Kelce, who flew to Buenos Aires for Swift this weekend, certainly didn’t miss it. His real-time reaction to her surprise lyric change was caught on camera.

Swift replaced original “Karma” lyric “Karma is the guy on the screen coming straight home to me” with the line “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me” in front of a live audience at Estadio River Plate, stunning fans and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who was enjoying the concert with Swift’s dad in the VIP tent.

Kelce was simply watching Swift on stage during the Midnights set of her Eras show when he heard Swift’s new lyric. Scott Swift, Taylor’s dad, hit the football star’s shoulder and cheered when it happened, while Kelce covered his face with his hands.

Taylor’s love interest then grinned widely and did a happy little dance.

When the show wrapped, Swift ran straight into Kelce’s arms and kissed him. The lovey-dovey moment was also captured and shared by Swifties at the stadium.

Kelce had taken Swift out to dinner Friday, and then was spotted at Swift’s show early on Saturday, hanging out with Mr. Swift.

Former Slipknot Drummer Jay Weinberg Breaks His Silence After Split From Band

Slipknot‘s ex-drummer Jay Weinberg is speaking out after being fired from the masked metal band.

Weinberg, the son of longtime Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg, took to social media on Saturday (Nov. 11) to express that he had not anticipated the group’s decision to part ways with him after 10 years.

“I was heartbroken and blindsided to receive the phone call that I did on the morning of November 5th; the news of which, most of you learned shortly after,” Weinberg, 33, wrote on his Instagram Story. “However, I’ve been overwhelmed by — and truly grateful for — the outpouring of love and support I’ve received from this incredible community I consider to be my creative and artistic home.”

A week earlier on Nov. 5, Slipknot announced that the band had “parted ways” with Weinberg, who joined the rock act in 2013 following the departure of Joey Jordison.

“No one can ever replace Joey Jordison’s original sound, style or energy, but Jay honored Joey’s parts and contributed to the last three albums and we, the band, and the fans appreciate it,” Slipknot wrote in a statement. “But as ever, Slipknot is intent on evolving. The band has decided to make a creative decision, and to part ways with Jay. We wish Jay all the best and are very excited for what the future holds.”

During his time with Slipknot, Weinberg drummed on the Grammy-winning group’s albums .5: The Gray Chapter (2014), We Are Not Your Kind (2019) and The End, So Far (2022). .5: The Gray Chapter and We Are Not Your Kind both debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Weinberg added in his lengthy statement on Saturday, “Despite the confusion and sadness, there is something that’s provided an equal amount of comfort. For many of you reading this: 10 years ago, we weren’t yet acquainted. And now, we are. For that, I’m thankful in ways I’ll never be able to fully express.”

The drummer continued, “I don’t know how, and I don’t know when, but I look forward to creating loud, passionate, and heartfelt music that we enjoy together again. Until then, please know it’s been the joy of a lifetime to spend the last 10 years with you, sharing in our love for this special corner of the music and art world.”

Weinberg joined Slipknot in 2013 following the departure of founding drummer Jordison, who formed the group in 1995 along with percussionist Shawn Crahan and the band’s late bass player Paul Gray, who died in 2010.

Slipknot hasn’t yet announced who will replace Weinberg on drums. The band is currently scheduled to play the Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas on April 27, 2024, and Welcome to Rockville on May 12, 2024.

Troye Sivan Reacts to Timothée Chalamet’s ‘SNL’ Sleep Demon Impression: ‘Why Is Life So Weird’

Troye Sivan was in “pure shock” after watching Timothée Chalamet impersonate him on Saturday Night Live.

The Australian pop star took to social media following the Nov. 11 episode of the NBC comedy series, during which the Wonka star hilariously portrayed Sivan as cast member Sarah Sherman’s sleep paralysis demon.

“WHY IS LIFE SO WEIRDDDDD RN LMAO IM DEAD,” Sivan captioned a snippet of the SNL skit on Instagram.

The Idol actor also shared several screenshots from the sketch on his Instagram Story, along with a snapshot of himself watching the comical segment on his laptop with the caption, “Pure Shock.” The singer liked it so much, he even changed his profile picture to an image of Chalamet portraying him.

During the five-minute sketch, Sherman plays a woman who complains to her doctor (portrayed by SNL‘s Bowen Yang) that she sees a mysterious figure in the room when she tries to sleep. Chalamet, who served as the evening’s host, then appears in the hospital room as a hallucination of Sivan from the artist’s “Got Me Started” music video, where he sports a tight white tank top and baggy blue pants.

“It’s just a guy, but like a gay guy,” Sherman describes, to which Chalamet’s Sivan replies, “No, not just any gay guy, homie. It’s me, Troye Sivan. Let’s go!”

After showing off his dance moves and slightly pulling down his pants, Chalamet’s Sivan reassures Sherman that he’s not a sleep demon. “No, not quite, girly. I’m an Australian YouTube twink-turned-indie pop star and model-turned-HBO actor Troye Sivan being played by an American actor who can’t do an Australian accent,” he says in his normal voice.

The doctor then reveals that Sherman is the fourth woman he’s treated who’s “suffering from Troye Sivan dancing as her sleep demon.” Sherman wonders if it’s a bad thing, asking, “Isn’t he kind of famous?” Bowen replies, “He’s gay famous. It’s different!”

The sketch ends with Sherman telling the physician that she’s starting to enjoy Sivan’s presence. “Oh no, I really wish you didn’t say that. If you invite him in, he starts to multiply,” he says. From there, Sivan manifests more versions in himself in the form of musical guest Boygenius‘ Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker.

“Hey homie, thanks for inviting us,” Bridgers’ Sivan says with a smile.

Taylor Swift’s ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ Spends Second Week Atop Billboard 200

Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) logs a second week atop the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Nov. 18), following its blockbuster debut. In the week ending Nov. 9, the set earned 245,000 equivalent album units (down 85%) in the U.S., according to Luminate. The re-recorded effort charged in at No. 1 with 1.653 million units a week ago — marking the largest week for any album in nearly a decade.

Also in the top 10 of the new Billboard 200, Jung Kook’s debut album, Golden, bows at No. 2, while the late Jimmy Buffett’s new studio album, Equal Strain on All Parts, starts at No. 6.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Nov. 18, 2023-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Nov. 14. Of 1989 (Taylor’s Version)’s 245,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Nov. 9, album sales comprise 122,000, SEA units comprise 121,500 (equaling 159.54 million on-demand official streams of the set’s 36 songs) and TEA units comprise 1,500. On the final day of the tracking week, Swift introduced a new deluxe digital download edition of the album, exclusively available in her official webstore for one day only. The new version includes one bonus track, “Slut! (Acoustic Version) (Taylor’s Version).”

BTS’ Jung Kook sees his solo debut album, Golden, bow at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 210,200 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, album sales comprise 164,800 (it’s the top-selling album of the week), SEA units comprise 29,800 (equaling 41.59 million on-demand official streams of the set’s 10 songs) and TEA units comprise 15,600. Golden’s sales were largely driven by CD purchases, with 128,500 sold, while digital download album contributed 36,300. It was not available to purchase on any other format.

Golden was preceded by a pair of top 10-charting hits on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, the No. 1 “Seven,” featuring Latto, and the No. 5-peaking “3D,” with Jack Harlow.

Golden is Jung Kook’s first charting album on the Billboard 200, and he becomes the sixth member of BTS (of the seven total members) to have achieved a top 10-charting effort. BTS itself has logged seven top 10s, including six No. 1s.

Golden was issued in 16 collectible CD editions, all with the same tracklist, but alternative packaging and covers, with different merchandise (some randomized) contained inside. Among the variants were retail-exclusive sold through Barnes & Noble, Target and Walmart. Golden was also available to purchase across nine different digital download editions: a standard version, one with three music videos, a version with a “digitally signed” cover, two alternative cover versions, and four “voice memo” versions (each of the four came with a different short voice memo recorded by the artist as a bonus track).

A trio of former No. 1s is next on the Billboard 200, as Drake’s For All the Dogs is a non-mover at No. 3 (81,000 equivalent album units; down 15%), Morgan Wallen’s One Thing At a Time rises 5-4 (65,000; up 2%) and Bad Bunny’s Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana falls 4-5 (60,000; down 19%).

The late Jimmy Buffett debuts at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 with the final studio album he completed during his lifetime, Equal Strain on All Parts. The set starts with a little over 53,000 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, album sales comprise 51,000, SEA units comprise a little over 2,000 and TEA units comprise a negligible sum. Buffett died on Sept. 1 at the age of 76 of skin cancer.

The new 14-song album, which marks Buffett’s 14th top 10-charting set on the Billboard 200, features contributions from Emmylou Harris, Angelique Kidjo, Lennie Gallant, Will Kimbrough, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Paul McCartney.

Equal Strain on All Parts was issued as a standard digital album, a standard CD and in two vinyl editions — a widely available Key West Blue-colored version, and an indie store exclusive Paradise Blue-colored version that contains a poster inside. Of the album’s 51,000 sold, CD sales comprise 26,000, digital album sales comprise 15,000 and vinyl sales comprise 10,000.

Closing out the new top 10 are four former chart-toppers: Rod Wave’s Nostalgia dips 6-7 (45,000 equivalent album units; down 3%); Zach Bryan’s self-titled set rises 9-8 (nearly 45,000; up 2%); Swift’s Midnights falls 7-9 (43,000; down 3%); and SZA’s SOS is steady at No. 10 (42,000; down less than 1%).

Kendrick Lamar & Baby Keem Celebrate Hit-Filled Family Reunion as The Hillbillies While Closing Out Night 1 of Camp Flog Gnaw 2023

In May, Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar reintroduced themselves as “The Hillbillies,” a quirky pair of big flexers (“One-hundred and fifty grams of protein,” Dot raps in the duo’s eponymous single) and even bigger spenders who show off their lavish lifestyles and Lamar’s embossed python square toe 3-inch heel cowboy boots in “The Hillbillies” music video. But the opening shot at L.A.’s Dodger Stadium and goofy cameo from Tyler, the Creator — who confirmed Camp Flog Gnaw would officially return this year for the first time since the pandemic at the end of the clip — foreshadowed Saturday night (Nov. 11), where Lamar and Keem took over Flog Gnaw night one’s headliner slot hillbilly style, of course.



But Keem started off the evening with a surprise: He debuted the trailer for The Melodic Blue short film, starring him, Amandla Stenberg, Shakira Ja’Nai Paye and more, that will premiere Dec. 5 on Amazon Prime Video. But the lead actor let “Savior – Interlude” play out like a movie’s beginning credits while sitting on the hood of an old-school black car, Lamar lounging in the front seat before shooting the s— with his baby cousin in the black-and-white video that was projected on the stage’s middle screen.

After Lamar officially introduced himself as “the OG Hillbilly” in a Beverly Hillbillies-inspired accent, the bombastic beginning horns of “Family Ties” activated the audience, with fans shaking off any exhaustion they’d sustained throughout the day. Despite the contradictory opulence of his hillbilly aesthetic, Lamar opted for a vintage brown sports jacket, white jersey, ripped jeans and Timberland boots with small square-frame glasses. He’s already claimed the rap throne a long time ago — and he’s certainly looked the part before, from sitting on an actual throne in his 2015 “King Kunta” music video to wearing a crown of [Tiffany & Co. diamond-encrusted] thorns at 2022 Glastonbury Festival. But his current attire represented humble beginnings that can get flipped on their head.

But no amount of money in the world could buy the happiness experienced during the family reunion, which even projected the “Family Ties” cover art — an old photo of Lamar, Keem and their unidentifiable relatives — onto the Camp Stage. Yet during Saturday night’s performance, the passionate festival-goers found themselves in the picture instead. Lamar spoke to his younger fans, some of whom he estimated were 9 or 10-years-old when they first discovered him, and guided them through his biggest hits from his 2012 album good kid, m.A.A.d city, his 2017 album DAMN. and all the essentials in between. If his music raised these kids, then Lamar’s family was far more extensive than any photo could ever show.

But his relationship with Keem is different because it’s inside their DNA. With everyone flinging their arms in the air with reckless abandon, Lamar’s rousing performance of “Alright” was more than just a tough act to follow — the set could’ve very finished right then and there. But in between songs, he pleaded with his cousin (whom he endearingly referred to as “nephew” earlier) to save him from the “s—” music that’s being put out lately. Keem stepped up to the plate and offered a smorgasbord of his own hits, including his 2019 sleeper hit “Orange Soda,” his TikTok-fueled cut “Lost Souls” from his 2021 debut album, The Melodic Blue, and his stirring feature on Kanye West‘s “Praise God” from Donda.

And what better way to finish off their performance than with the live debut of “The Hillbillies” — which earned a 2024 Grammy nomination for best rap performance just the day before the festival — and having Tyler run back his music video cameo. Shuffling across the stage, the festival’s chief curator felt like The Hillbillies’ long-lost cousin, his eccentric mannerisms being on par with those of Lamar and Keem’s as the trio entertained the audience with their shenanigans. Watching two rap titans and one incredibly promising rising star run around the stage felt like watching three kids run around the neighborhood playground. Flog Gnaw is Tyler’s personal playground after all, where imagination is limitless. Fans might’ve usually referred to Keem as “Two-Phone Baby Keem” and Lamar as “Dot,” “Oklama” or any one of his other notorious nicknames, but for that night, they were The Hillbillies.

Boygenius Rocks ‘Not Strong Enough’ & ‘Satanist’ in ‘SNL’ Debut: Watch

Boygenius brought songs from their long-awaited debut album, The Record, to Studio 8H.

Fresh off a whopping six Grammy nominations, the supergroup — helmed by Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker — gave rocking performances of “Not Strong Enough” and “Satanist” during its Saturday Night Live debut on Nov. 11.

With an introduction from second-time host Timothée Chalamet, Boygenius opened with “Not Strong Enough,” which topped Billboard‘s Adult Alternative Airplay in June. For the performance, the band donned black and white suits in a nod to The Beatles and their Rolling Stone magazine cover in tribute of Nirvana. The group returned in the same slick outfits for a moody delivery of their track “Satanist.”

Boygenius took the stage just weeks after the release of their new four-track EP, The Rest. Bridgers previously served as musical guest for her solo work, in April 2021, and memorably destroyed her guitar on stage in Studio 8H.

On Friday (Nov. 10), the three-piece discovered they were nominated for a six awards at the 2024 Grammy Awards, including nods for both album and record of the year for The Record and “Not Strong Enough,” respectively.

“It feels like I’m in a simultaneous come-up and come-down from a high,” Dacus told Billboard after the nominations were announced.

Not only did Swift debut one of those songs live, but she threw in another surprise.

Swift performed “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version)” for the first time in front of a live audience, and she unexpectedly worked in the bridge from the main track list’s “Out of the Woods (Taylor’s Version).”

The two songs seem to bring up the same relationship, as “Is It Over Now?” mentions “When you lost control/ Red blood, white snow.”

On stage in Buenos Aires, Swift raised her eyebrows at someone in the crowd and during “Is It Over Now?” sang, “Remember when you hit the brakes too soon?/ Twenty stitches in a hospital room/ When you started crying, baby, I did too/ But when the sun came up I was looking at you” from “Out of the Woods.”

Ahead of premiering the mashup live, the pop icon addressed the Buenos Aires crowd as well as “anyone, anywhere who is listening to this right now.”

“Thank you so much for supporting my version of 1989,” she said of the album that recently debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. “I really knew I needed to get it right. 1989 is such an important album in my life.”

She also mentioned taking “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version)” to the summit of the Billboard Hot 100.

“A song that I wrote for 1989 that didn’t make the album … You guys got that song to go No. 1 on the Hot 100!” she said with a smile.

After delighting fans with the first surprise song of the night, she made their evening even better with an acoustic performance of Reputation‘s “End Game” at the piano. The song, with lyrics referencing sports, was an interesting choice since football star (and love interest) Travis Kelce was at the show Saturday night, watching from the VIP tent.

Britney Spears Shares Throwback Photo With Taylor Swift From 20 Years Ago: ‘Most Iconic Pop Woman of Our Generation’

Britney Spears had a cool Taylor Swift throwback story — and picture — to share on Instagram Saturday night (Nov. 11).

While Swift was on stage in Buenos Aires, Spears posted a photograph of the two of them together back in 2003, when Swift would’ve been only 13 or 14 years old, as well as one of the pair five years later, at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2008.

“This is way back when but kinda cool … During my Oops Tour, I got a knock at my door,” Spears wrote in a message on Instagram. “My good friend at the time was the assistant to my manager who was trying to become a manager himself. There was a knock, and then he said, ‘I have a girl named Taylor who wants to come in and sing for you.’ I was like of course !!!”

She continued, “He walks in, and she sings a beautiful song with her guitar. I was like wow wow she’s unbelievable !!! We took a picture, and she then became the most iconic pop woman of our generation.”

Travis Kelce Spotted at Taylor Swift’s Second Buenos Aires Concert on Eras Tour

It was Travis Kelce‘s turn to show up at a stadium for Taylor Swift on Saturday night (Nov. 11) in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Swift cheered Kelce on from several stadium suites at Kansas City Chiefs games over the past several weeks, and tonight the football star was spotted in the VIP tent at Estadio River Plate — with Swift’s dad, Scott, by his side.

The tight end for the Chiefs — who first saw Swift’s Eras Tour at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium in July, marking the first public linking between the two — had to miss Swift’s first tour date in Buenos Aires on Thursday; he was attending teammate Patrick Mahomes’ fourth annual 15 and Mahomies Foundation Gala in Kansas City.

Swift’s next concert in Buenos Aires, originally scheduled for Friday night, was postponed due to “truly chaotic” weather. “I love a rain show but I’m never going to endanger my fans or my fellow performers and crew,” Swift said in a message in an Instagram Stories post.

She addressed the cancelation on stage, as well as the six Grammy nominations she just received, Saturday night during a speech before Evermore‘s “Champagne Problems.”

“I started off my morning by getting the extraordinary news,” Swift said, in reaction to her nods for the 2023 Grammy Awards, which were announced Friday.
