Bebe Rexha Slams ‘Ungrateful Loser’ G-Eazy, Calls ‘Me, Myself & I’ His ‘Only Real Hit’ in Heated Post

Consider the bridge between Bebe Rexha and G-Eazy burned.

Nine years after scoring a top 10 smash together with “Me, Myself & I,” the pop singer took to Instagram Stories on Thursday (June 13) to call out her collaborator, alleging he treated her poorly after the release of their duet in 2015.

“You’re lucky people are liking you again,” Rexha wrote, tagging G-Eazy. “‘Cause I could go in on all the sh–ty things you’ve done and how you treated me after giving you your only real hit.”

The “Meant to Be” musician’s comments came in response to a member of her team asking via text message if she had any interest in shooting social media content with the rapper, a screenshot of which Rexha also posted. “You have my number,” she added. “Why don’t you text me and ask me yourself you stuck up ungrateful loser.”

“Btw the answer is no,” the vocalist concluded. “Hope you good.”

Billboard has reached out to reps for Rexha and G-Eazy for comment.

It’s probably safe to say the two musicians won’t be working together again any time soon for a follow-up to “Me, Myself & I,” which debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in November 2015 before peaking at No. 7 the following March. In 2017, they teamed up again for “F.F.F.” on Rexha’s EP All Your Fault Pt. 1, which reached No. 51 on the Billboard 200.

The post comes a week after G-Eazy released his new single “Anxiety.” Rexha dropped her latest track “Chase It” at the end of May, days before making headlines for kicking out a concertgoer at her show in Wisconsin for apparently attempting to throw something at her.

“Out, out,” she says in a clip from the concert, which took place one year after Rexha sustained a serious facial injury due to a different fan throwing his phone at her during another show. “Or, if you wanna hit me in the face, I had to press charges for the other guy — I’d love to become richer.”

Travis Kelce Teases He’s Getting a Ring (But Not That Ring) Amid Taylor Swift Engagement Rumors

Travis Kelce is about to pick up a new piece of bling, but it’s not an engagement ring for Taylor Swift… yet.

In a clever teaser posted by the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday (June 13), the tight end holds up three of his fingers and points to one of his knuckles with a knowing smile. “TONIGHT,” reads a message at the end alongside a diamond-ring emoji.

The clip served to hype up the team’s ring ceremony, where Kelce will be presented with his third Super Bowl band alongside his teammates. It came at a sensitive time, however, for some Swifties who are convinced that a proposal is imminent for the offensive lineman and pop star, whose relationship has sparked engagement rumors on and off for months.

“as a swiftie please understand the internal panic we are having rn,” one fan commented on the post.

“lol the social media manager knows what they were doing with this and i am absolutely obsessed,” wrote another person, while a third jokingly quoted Swift’s “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?”: “so tell me everything is not about me… BUT WHAT IF IT IS??????”

As Kelce prepares to get his latest Super Bowl ring, Swift is currently in Liverpool for her latest series of Eras Tour shows on the trek’s European leg. Thursday will mark her 100th performance on the 21-month run, which will officially end in December.

When she isn’t on the road, however, she and Kelce enjoy cooking together in the kitchen — as revealed by the football player in a recent press conference at the Chiefs’ minicamp. “I thoroughly enjoy cooking with her,” he told a reporter when asked about his favorite recipes to make with the superstar. “It’s something I’d rather keep personal.”

“Taylor makes a great pop-tart and cinnamon roll,” he added later.

David Beckham Hopes ‘Brutal’ Sports Fans Are Kinder to Taylor Swift Than They Were to Victoria

Before there was Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, there was the ultimate sports-music crossover couple of David and Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice. And in a new interview with Variety, the soccer legend says he hopes that certain parts of history don’t repeat themselves when it comes to the “Anti-Hero” singer’s entrenchment in the sports world.

Recalling how football fans treated Victoria poorly throughout their relationship in the ’90s, David said, “Hopefully that’s improved.”

Trending on Billboard

“It’s ridiculous that we’re even talking about it,” he said when asked about Swift and Kelce. “I think back in the day with Victoria going to games, the fans were quite brutal. They sang songs about her.”

Though most of the world seems to be enamored with the “Karma” musician’s romance with the tight end, it has attracted a few complaints from NFL fans that some have deemed sexist. Whether the rhetoric surrounding the famous significant others of athletes has gotten better or worse, though, David says he’s “sure Taylor’s strong enough to handle whatever.”

The interview comes over a month after David helped his wife celebrate her birthday with a surprise Spice Girls reunion. It marked a rare instance of all five women being in the same room at the same time, and the group gave an impromptu performance of their hit “Mama” and re-created their dance routine to “Stop.”

As for whether the girls will make a comeback any time soon, David advises fans not to get their hopes up. “Unfortunately, that’s not happening,” he told the publication. “Victoria was so pleased to see the girls, and it was a massive part of her life, the girls, but obviously, all the girls have got their own things going on. They will do certain things together at certain times. But Victoria’s full on with her beauty and fashion businesses. If anyone’s busier than me, it’s her.

“There’s nothing more that I’d like to see than the girls on stage again,” he noted. “So I’ll still work at it, don’t worry!”

Little previously starred in Swindell’s music video clip for his song “Some Habits,” but they were friends prior to the video. In 2022, Swindell noted on The Bobby Bones Show that he and Little met several years ago. “I’m a big NASCAR fan and she works with [energy drink brand] Monster [Energy],” Swindell said. “We just kind of met and exchanged numbers and kept in touch over the years but it never was anything, you know, just kind of friends, randomly saw her here and there, but the [“Some Habits”] video kind of changed everything.”

North Carolina native Little was previously an NBA dancer, and with her sister owns a boutique shop, The Little Sister Boutique.

Swindell’s current single, “Forever to Me” reached the top 40 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. He released his most recent studio album, Stereotype, in 2022, which included his hit song “She Had Me at Heads Carolina,” which picked up two ACM Awards wins, for single of the year and song of the year. Swindell has eight No. 1 Country Airplay hits to his credit.

Several of Swindell’s fellow country artists and friends responded to the photos the couple shared on social media, including Lily Rose, Morgan Evans, and Tyler Hubbard’s wife Hayley Hubbard.

Sir Deer on Upcoming 10th Anniversary & Hoping ‘The Next Decade Can Be Even Wilder’

On the eve of their Billboard China cover interview, the Sir Deer team decided to hold three impromptu campus performances in Henan province. Bei Bei, the lead vocalist of Sir Deer, described these fleeting moments at the campus concerts as always thrilling to him. In the past two years, Sir Deer has toured nearly 20 campuses.

In Bei Bei’s view, every minor incident holds the potential to alter one’s life trajectory. The experiences of participating in the music club and organizing performances during their university days set the wheels of fate in motion, sowing the seeds that would eventually flourish into the band’s formation. On this campus tour, Sir Deer also encountered many young individuals who shared their passion for music, just as they had in the past. Bei Bei believes this performance will plant a seed of inspiration in these students’ hearts as well.

Akin to their performances in theaters and live houses, Sir Deer’s campus concerts employ a full-scale touring production. For many students, this concert may not only mark their first live performance, but also their inaugural encounter with Sir Deer live. “The pressure of performing on campus is truly immense, as it could impact a student’s life. So we also feel a burgeoning sense of responsibility within.”

Trending on Billboard

Bei Bei hopes that Sir Deer’s campus tour can present students with “another possibility”: “The college entrance exam is like a mountain, and postgraduate studies are exceedingly difficult… but what vistas await on the other side of that peak? Let music become a process to help everyone resolve their troubles. Perhaps the anxieties they currently grapple with will gradually dissipate after a night’s performance. At least in the realm of music, we wish to reveal to students the greater potentialities of life.”

Transcending Adversity, Uncovering the Self

Over the past tumultuous two years of the pandemic, not only Sir Deer, but all of humanity has endured trying times. In Bei Bei’s perspective, this arduous period represented a form of “spiritual cultivation” unfolding both internally and externally.

At the year’s outset, bassist Li Si penned a heartfelt message on Weibo: “During this stage where both our bodies and souls require restoration, we must all march forth hand-in-hand.” For Li Si, the “team spirit” of Sir Deer is the most paramount facet in his life: “These bonds of friendship have aided me in traversing an enormously difficult time and have imbued me with the impetus to progress and look ahead.”

Sir Deer’s rhythm guitarist Yang Songlin is a quintessential “science and engineering type.” Within this ensemble, where artistic and emotional sensibilities form the principal creative axis, Yang candidly admits that his rationality serves as a tool to safeguard everyone’s childlike spirit: “I comprehend my role in the team is to ensure the stability of the rhythm.”

In the digital era, a band can no longer simply perform songs, they must also actively explore social media attempts. As Sir Deer’s lead guitarist, Dong Bin has contributed countless “firsts” for the band. Dong Bin’s primary vocation is architectural design. “I brim with excitement before the performances, and when I revert to my work post, my heart settles. I cannot control the duration of my life, but I can seize the breadth of my life.”

Keyboardist Bing Bing completed the female vocal overdubbing for a new Sir Deer composition alongside her mother, which she deems a career highlight. “Being able to collaborate with my closest family member to imbue emotion into the band’s work, this emotional connection within the musical context is an unforgettable lifetime experience.”

After drummer PP’s maternity leave this year, several different drummers have successively joined Sir Deer’s roster of guest musicians. As for Sir Deer’s in-depth cooperation with Tencent Music Entertainment Group, it has imbued each band member with a renewed creative drive. These new partnership ventures have imbued Sir Deer’s future with an abundance of novel, undiscovered possibilities.

The Tides of Time Flow Onward, Embracing a “Wilder” 10th Anniversary

The sands of time are ever-shifting, and Sir Deer’s evolution has mirrored this restless progression. Mastering the art of embracing change is a lesson Bei Bei has imparted to himself and the band: “The crux is that when you make certain decisions, you must also accept the other facets that come with it. If you possess the courage to transform, there will be no issues.”

Founded on Aug. 31, 2015, Sir Deer will soon commemorate its 10th anniversary next year. Traversing these 10 years, there have been myriad triumphs and tribulations. How will the bandmembers celebrate Sir Deer’s decadelong journey? Dong Bin states there will undoubtedly be a commemorative performance: “I hope this retrospective concert can present our evolution and some reflections, providing a proper account for the 10th anniversary.”

This 10-year milestone will render Li Si unable to resist reminiscing about the year Sir Deer was first formed, in 2015. At that time, all the members convened at Bing Bing’s residence for a meeting, discussing the title of their inaugural song, the overarching creative direction, recording plans, rehearsal schedules. In Li Si’s recollection, they have held countless such work sessions over the past 10 years, but in each one, everyone participated earnestly and diligently, never absent.

Regarding this year’s plans, Bei Bei shared that they intend to release a collection that is “a bit wilder” than the original Sir Deer: “We still harbor many unrealized artistic ambitions, hoping to soar even faster and higher. Participating in the 31st College Student Film Festival made me cognizant of the importance of visual elements for music. I feel immensely honored that these 10 years with everyone have not been in vain, and I hope the next decade of Sir Deer can be even wilder.”

Young Thug’s Father Had a Ball at Gunna’s Atlanta Concert: Watch

Despite rumors of beef between Young Thug and Gunna, Thug’s father, Jeffery Williams Sr., continues to publicly support Gunna while his son is embroiled in a RICO trial.

During Gunna’s Bittersweet Tour stop at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on Tuesday (June 11), Thug’s dad could be seen in the VIP pit in front of the stage enjoying the Atlanta rapper’s performance of his and Thugger’s song “Ski” from the YSL compilation album Slime Language 2.

With a big smile on his face, Thug Sr. raps along with the song’s chorus while doing the #SkiChallenge as the crowd around him goes crazy.

Back in December 2022, Gunna agreed to a so-called Alford plea, which allows a defendant in a trial to enter a formal admission of guilt while still maintaining their innocence. He was released from jail with time served and probation conditions that include 500 hours of community service.

“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” the rapper said in a statement the day of his release in 2022.

Thug’s father has confirmed on multiple occasions that he still supports Gunna. Last December, during an interview with Infamous Sylvia, Williams Sr. adamantly defended the rapper, saying, “I love Gunna… Let me try to help the attorney clarify that a little simpler. Gunna hasn’t done anything whatsoever that can hurt us on this case, period.”

When asked about Lil Baby telling a DJ to stop playing his “Drip Too Hard” collab with Gunna during a concert and saying, “F—k the rats, turn this s—t off,” he reiterated his position on the matter. “He need to shut the f—k up ’cause he don’t know what’s going on,” he told Infamous Sylvia in another interview. “Ask Lil Baby has he ever came to a court date?”

Recently, one of Thug’s lawyers in the ongoing RICO trial was held in contempt and sentenced to 20 days in jail. However, the Georgia Supreme Court granted an emergency motion, pausing the jail sentence until they review the controversial decision. Prior to that, a witness called by the prosecution went viral for referring to Young Thug’s song “Lifestyle” as a “banger.”

Johnny’s spirit will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched and the legacy he built.”

The Johnny Canales Show was an important platform for regional Mexican music artists, including Los Tigres del Norte, Los Relámpagos del Norte and Intocable, and was the prime mover of Selena’s career. “You got it, take it away” was one of the most famous phrases Canales used in his broadcasts to encourage artists in their nascent careers.

However, Canales’ health began to deteriorate in 2008 after suffering a stroke that led to loss of mobility, and forced him to give up television broadcasting. Shakira’s 20 Biggest Billboard Hits, From ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ to ‘Whenever, Wherever’

With her instantly recognizable warble, signature dance moves and singular stage presence, it didn’t take long for Shakira to reach icon status after she first found global fame with 2001’s Laundry Service.

More than two decades later, it’s now hard to imagine what the modern pop landscape would look like without the Colombian singer, especially considering the explosion in popularity other crossover Latin artists have experienced in her wake. She earned her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 at the top of the millennium with “Whenever, Wherever,” which remains one of her biggest hits to date, and later scored her first-ever No. 1 single in 2006 with “Hips Don’t Lie,” featuring Wyclef Jean.

Since then, Shakira has scored more than two dozen entries on the chart, along with a handful of top 10 smashes. She’s also become one of the music world’s most in-demand duet partners, having teamed up with everyone from the Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna and Beyoncé to Maluma, Rauw Alejandro and Karol G.

From her high-energy hits as a breakout star to her still-fiery-but-more-mature bops, Shakira has kept fans singing, dancing and occasionally crying along for years — and she doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. Keep reading to see her 20 biggest hits on the Hot 100 so far below.

Shakira’s Biggest Billboard Hot 100 Hits ranking is based on weekly performance on the Hot 100 through June 15, 2024. Songs are ranked based on an inverse point system, with weeks at No. 1 earning the greatest value and weeks at lower spots earning the least. Due to changes in chart methodology over the years, eras are weighted differently to account for chart turnover rates during various periods.

Here Are the Performers for the 2024 BET Awards

Ms. Lauryn Hill & YG Marley, Ice Spice and Tyla have been added as performers for the 2024 BET Awards, which will air live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 30, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

They join previously announced performers GloRilla, Latto, Muni Long, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey and Victoria Monét. Additionally, Tanner Adell, who guested on a new version of The Beatles’ “Blackbird” on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter, will perform on the BET Amplified stage. Taraji P. Henson will host the show for the third time. Usher is set to receive the lifetime achievement award. He also has four nominations.

Trending on Billboard

Most of these performers have had stellar years. Usher headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in February, which set a new ratings record. Hill’s 1998 classic The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was voted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and also topped Apple Music’s list of the best albums of all time.

Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” conquered multiple charts. Billboard’s charts team reports this week that “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is the first song to be rising in the top 25 simultaneously on the Country Airplay, Pop Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay and Rhythmic Airplay charts — which have coexisted for 28 years.

Monét won three Grammys in February, including best new artist. Tyla was the inaugural winner in the new best African music performance category for “Water,” which was a top 10 hit on the Hot 100. Ice Spice didn’t win a Grammy, but she went into the ceremony with an impressive four nominations.

GloRilla has two songs in the top 10 on this week’s Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart — “Yeah Glo!” and her “Wanna Be” collab with Megan Thee Stallion. Sexxy Red has one song (“Get It Sexyy”) in the top 10 and another, a collab with Drake (“U My Everything”), in the top 20. Muni Long is also in the top 20 with her soulful ballad “Made for Me.”

If these artists perform these hits on the show, it could not only give the hits a boost, but the records’ Grammy chances, because the audience will likely include Grammy voters who are starting to think of their Grammy choices. (The Grammys’ online entry period runs from July 17 to Aug. 31.)

Henson previously hosted the BET Awards in 2021 and 2022. The Oscar-nominated actress (for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) is one of only two performers to host the show three times (the other being Mo’Nique, who won an Oscar for Precious).

Drake leads the 2024 BET Awards nominations with seven nods, followed by Nicki Minaj with six; J. Cole, Sexyy Red, SZA, Monét and Beyoncé with five each; and 21 Savage, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Tyla and Usher with four each.

Voting for the 2024 Viewer’s Choice Award began last week and ends June 30 (at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT). Nominees in that category are Doja Cat’s “Agora Hills,” Lil Durk’s “All My Life” (featuring J. Cole), Gunna’s “Fukumean,” Jack Harlow’s “Lovin on Me,” Long’s “Made for Me,” Monét’s “On My Mama,” Drake’s “Rich Baby Daddy” (featuring Sexyy Red & SZA), Chris Brown’s “Sensational (featuring Davido & Lojay), Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em” and Tyla’s “Water.”

Connie Orlando, BET’s EVP specials, music programming & music strategy, will oversee and executive produce the annual show. Jamal Noisette, SVP, tentpoles & music community engagement, will co-executive produce for BET. Jesse Collins Entertainment is the production company for the show, with Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay also serving as executive producers.

We friends, though,” she replied when attempting to let him down easy. However, the friend-zoning took on a life of us its own in the last few months and has continued to pop up around Kai.

Kevin Hart even made a “we friends tho” sign for Kai Cenat when he showed up at his house for their sleepover stream with Druski earlier this week.

Trending on Billboard

Tyla made her debut on The Breakfast Club on Thursday (June 13), where Charlamagne Tha God asked her about the viral curving of the streamer.

“Guys, the thing stretched,” she said, which drew a laugh from CTG. “Don’t put me on the spot, guys. I’ll embarrass [myself].”

Envy hopped in to see if Tyla and Kai joke about the viral exchange, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

“We don’t really talk about it,” she replied with a chuckle. “We met in New York for the first time around New Year’s. Then I went on the stream, and it actually was really fun.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Charlamagne asked her about the debates regarding Tyla being a “colored person” from South Africa. She refused to answer, looking for help from her team, and her publicist stepped in to have them move on to another question.

Tyla exploded onto the music scene last year with her “Water” single. The amapiano track won best African music performance at the 2024 Grammys, and reached No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Once it was booming on TikTok, I was in shock. I was in a different country for something else,” she told the radio show of seeing “Water” blow up.
