Ingrid Andress Redeems Herself With National Anthem 7 Months After Fumbled Performance

Ingrid Andress got her second chance at singing the national anthem at a recent Colorado Avalanche game, and this time, things went a lot better than they did seven months prior at the 2024 Home Run Derby.

In a video posted to the country star’s social media accounts Feb. 28, Andress stands on the ice and sings “The Star-Spangled Banner” a cappella, this time hitting all of the notes and getting through the whole song smoothly. When she gets to the line, “… that our flag was still there,” the fans in the arena join in, making her laugh before nailing her big finish.

After the song is over, she exits the rink and — before emotionally hugging a friend — the “More Hearts Than Mine” artist cheers, “I did it!”

“We’re back baby,” Andress captioned the clip.

The showcase serves as a redemption for the singer-songwriter, who went viral in July over a flubbed rendition of the national anthem at the Home Run Derby in Arlington, Texas. After the pitchy, overall messy performance drew harsh criticism, Andress confessed on social media that she’d been under the influence of alcohol during the event and would be seeking treatment.

“I’m not gonna bulls–t y’all,” she wrote at the time in a post shared to her various accounts. “I was drunk last night. I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition.”

As part of her comeback, Andress also released a new song titled “Footprints” Monday (March 3). “I think the most human thing on earth is failing,” she wrote of the song on Instagram. “It’s getting kicked off, feeling the sting of it, but getting back on the same damn horse anyway. The sister, daughter, and human I want to be is resilient. Without the mistakes in my life, I would not be the person I am today, and I sure as hell wouldn’t have the stories to pass on about my journey.”

“‘Footprints’ is a reminder to all the people I love the most, and also to myself, that I’m out here trying my best at this ‘life’ thing,” she added. “If there’s any helpful guidance anyone can take from it, it’s all worth it. Here’s to making it worse, making it right, and making it.”

Gracie Abrams Cancels 2 More Shows Due to Illness: ‘I Can’t Tell You How Much This Breaks My Heart’

Gracie Abrams has canceled two more shows as she continues to fight off an illness, the singer announced Sunday (March 2).  

In another handwritten note posted to her Instagram Story, Abrams told fans that she would no longer be performing March 3 in Nottingham or March 4 in Leeds. “I hate that I have to write this again so soon,” she penned of the two shows in England. “Unfortunately, I am really still struggling with this illness and have been advised that I cannot perform these next two nights.”  

“I can’t tell you how much this breaks my heart,” continued the Grammy nominee. “This tour is something I’ve been dreaming of since the album came out, and the shows we’ve played so far have meant more to me than I can tell you.” 

Adding that her team would be in touch with ticketholders as soon as they had “concrete details,” Abrams concluded, “Please know I’d give anything to be able to be with you … I’m sending all my love and my deepest regrets.”

The “That’s So True” singer’s latest update comes just a few days after she canceled her scheduled Feb. 28 performance in Brussels. Abrams wrote at the time that her body was “fighting off something gnarly,” and that “all medical advice” she’d gotten up to that point had directed her to rest. “At this point in time I can’t give you the show you deserve and that breaks my heart, especially knowing all the travel and the planning and the care that you put into attending our show,” she’d added.

Abrams is currently midway through the European leg of her The Secret of Us Tour, which supports her Billboard 200 No. 2 album of the same name. She first kicked off the trek in North America in 2024 and will eventually make her way through Asia and Australia before circling back through the U.S., Mexico and Canada this summer. 

The “Close to You” artist is next scheduled to perform March 6 in London at the O2 Arena. Later this month, she’ll accept Songwriter of the Year at the 2025 Billboard Women in Music Awards, where she’ll also perform alongside fellow honorees aespa, GloRilla, Tyla and more.

Beck Announces 2025 North American Orchestral Shows

Beck is hitting the road this summer for another run of orchestral shows. The “Saw Lightning” singer announced the run of nine North American gigs in which he’ll team up with local symphony players on Monday (March 3), following a pair of well-received orchestral gigs at New York’s Carnegie Hall and L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl last summer.

The upcoming run of shows with support from Molly Lewis are slated to kick off on July 15 at the Westville Music Bowl in New Haven, CT with the Westville Philharmonic providing support, followed by stops in Montreal, a two-night stint in Toronto, as well as gigs in Cincinnati, Chicago and Colorado Springs and Morrison, CO before winding down on July 29 at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park in San Diego.

According to a release, Beck will be accompanied by “native orchestras for nine shows in eight cities in the U.S. and Canada — as they unite to reimagine a body of work that includes hits and deep cuts from classic Beck works including the multi-platinum Odelay, world-tripping Mutations, somber and reflective Sea Change, and GRAMMY Album of the Year winner Morning Phase, plus a share of surprises.”

Before he hits the road for the orchestral gigs, Beck will play the star-studded 2025 Love Rocks NYC benefit show on March 6 at New York’s Beacon Theatre alongside Cher, Alicia Keys, Kate Hudson, Phish’s Trey Anastasio, Mavis Staples, Michael McDonald, Peter Frampton and more.

The singer released his 14th studio album, Hyperspace, in 2019, which featured the singles “Saw Lightning,” “Uneventful Days” and “Dark Places.”

RAYE Explains Why Covering Adele at the 2025 Oscars Was ‘Terrifying’

You wouldn’t have been able to tell from watching RAYE‘s performance at the 2025 Oscars Sunday (March 2) — during which she absolutely nailed Adele‘s “Skyfall” as part of the night’s James Bond tribute — but the British star was actually quite nervous.

And during a post-show interview with Entertainment Tonight, RAYE explained why paying homage to the “Rolling in the Deep” vocalist was particularly “terrifying.” “No one can sing Adele like Adele,” she said. “It’s scary.”

The “Escapism” artist added, “It was terrifying, but also so incredible at the same time.”

RAYE closed out the Bond medley by taking the stage shrouded in fog, showing off her powerful vocals on Adele’s original theme for the franchise’s 2012 film, Skyfall. The track reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won best original song at the Oscars in 2013.

Before RAYE took the stage, The Substance actress Margaret Qualley performed a slinky dance number with a troupe of tuxedoed men — about which the former told ET, “She ate that up … Multi-talented and fine as hell, Jack [Antonoff] is a very lucky man.”

After Qualley’s number, RAYE’s “Born Again” collaborators LISA and Doja Cat each performed solo renditions of two other famous Bond themes, with the BLACKPINK star delivering both choreography and vocals on Wings’ “Live and Let Die” before the “Paint the Town Red” rapper commanded the spotlight singing Shirley Bassey’s “Diamonds Are Forever.” After RAYE closed out the 007 tribute, the trio came together on stage to receive the applause together. 

“We have such a beautiful chemistry together,” RAYE said of LISA and Doja. “I just love those girls, they’re so kind and hardworking and inspiring.”

The Academy Awards come a few weeks after the 2025 Grammys, where the “Oscar Winning Tears” vocalist performed in a best new artist medley alongside fellow nominees Doechii, Benson Boone, Teddy Swims and Shaboozey; winner Chappell Roan performed elsewhere in the evening. She was also up for songwriter of the year, which ended up going to Amy Allen. 

One day prior to the Oscars, RAYE won best R&B act at the 2025 BRIT Awards.

SiriusXM Launches New Dance Channel Curated By Tomorrowland

Starting Tuesday (March 4), SiriusXM will deliver the sounds of Tomorrowland and the global dance scene with a new channel curated by the team at the Belgian mega-festival festival.

One World Radio will be featured within the SiriusXM app and feature music programmed by the team that curates Tomorrowland’s One World Radio internet radio station, with the SiriusXM channel to offer new music and live DJ sets from Tomorrowland festivals including the flagship event in Boom, Belgium, along with Tomorrowland Winter, Tomorrowland Brasil and more.

SiriusXM’s One World Radio channel will be an extension of Tomorrowland’s pre-existing One World Radio feed, but will be curated a bit differently and customized to the SiriusXM audience.

“We are really excited about hearing the nearly unlimited Tomorrowland archives, giving SiriusXM listeners a peak into past vibes of the legendary two-weekend festival in Belgium,” Geronimo, SiriusXM’s Vice President of Music Programing, tells Billboard.

Aside from regularly scheduled and rotated music, the channel will also feature exclusive song cuts from previous festivals. “You’ll be able to hear the crowd reaction which really put you in the moment,” Geronimo continues. “It’s truly a place where the global dance community comes together and enjoys each other. Dance music is really about fun, love, positivity and enjoying life and each other and One World Radio captures this essence perfectly.”

The channel will feature music spanning the two decades of Tomorrowland history and span the spectrum of electronic music sounds. The “main thing is to give people a good time and spread positive vibes, without necessarily being bound to a genre,” says Bram Franssen, station lead at the pre-existing One World Radio and curator for the new SiriusXM channel.

With the launch, One World Radio joins SiriusXM’s suite of dance channels that include BPM, Diplo’s Revolution, SiriusXM Chill, Studio 54 Radio, Utopia and more.

“We’re excited to not only hear classic archived Tomorrowland sets but also what One World Radio has for the future,” says Geronimo. “The world outside of North America has historically been a step ahead when it comes to dance music and emerging genres, and One World Radio on SiriusXM will help bridge that gap.”

Brad Paisley Announces 2025 Truck Still Works World Tour Dates

Brad Paisley announced the initial run of dates for his upcoming 2025 Truck Still Works World Tour on Monday (March 3). The first leg of the outing is slated to kick off on May 21 at the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls, ID and bring the “No I in Beer” singer to Montana, Colorado, Oregon, Arizona, California, Ohio, New York, Virginia, Connecticut, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida before winding down on August 8 at in Arcadia, WI at the Ashley for the Arts festival.

The first announced dates of the Live Nation-promoted tour will feature support from Walker Hayes, as well as Avery Anna, Mae Estes and Alexandra Kay and Paisley’s first-ever stops at Morrison, CO’s historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre. The tour is named for Paisley’s current radio single “Truck Still Works,” which the singer debuted last fall on NBC’s People’s Choice Country Awards and the American Music Awards 50th anniversary special on CBS.

Alanis Morissette Sets Fall 2025 Las Vegas Residency at Colosseum at Caesars Palace

Alanis Morissette is headed to Vegas. The “You Oughta Know” singer announced the dates for her upcoming Alanis Morissette: Las Vegas 2025 residency run at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Monday morning (March 3), which will feature eight performances between Oct. 15 through Nov. 2.

A fan club presale will kick off on Tuesday (March 4) beginning at 10 a.m. PT, with access to Caesars Rewards members, Caesars Entertainment’s loyalty program, and SiriusXM, Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers opening for a presale starting Wednesday (March 5) at 10 a.m. PT. All presales will end on Thursday (March 6) at 10 p.m. PT. A general onsale for all eight dates will begin at 10 a.m. PT on Friday (March 7).

Morissette released her 10th studio album, The Storm Before the Calm, in 2022 and offered up a cover of the Yellowjackets theme song, “No Return,” in April 2023. Last summer she criss-crossed North America on her Triple Moon tour with special guests Joan Jett and Morgan Wade. In the lead-up to her Vegas residency, Morissette has plotted a series of international dates, including a March 21 stop at Lollapalooza Argentina in Buenos Aires, followed by Lollapalooza Chile in Santiago on March 22 and a top at Costa 21 festival in Lima, Peru on March 25.

She will hit the Festival Estereo Picnic in Bogota, Colombia on March 27 and Lolla Brazil on March 29 as well before moving on to a pair of festivals in the U.S. in May and a European tour from June through September.

The dates for Morissette’s 2025 Las Vegas residency are: October 15, 17, 18, 22, 24 and 25 and November 1 and 2.

BTS’ J-Hope to Make His Solo Debut on ‘Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’

J-Hope is heading back to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon — this time as a solo artist.

The BTS star is scheduled to take the stage at the popular late-night show next week, on Monday, March 10, Billboard can exclusively announce, marking the 31-year-old singer’s solo debut on the program. Back in 2018, his superstar group — which is also comprised of SUGA, Jin, RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook — joined the Tonight Show for the first time and performed the Billboard Hot 100 No. 11 hit “Idol” and “I’m Fine,” and tried out that year’s “Fortnite” dance trend. 

In 2020, the boys made a number of Tonight Show appearances — including a couple of virtual performances on the show to lighten ARMY’s moods during the COVID-19 pandemic — before returning again in 2021 for performances of their No. 1 hits “Butter” and “Permission to Dance.” 

We don’t know yet what he’ll perform on the show, but it’s been a major 2025 so far for J-Hope, after completing his mandatory South Korean military service in October. In January, he announced the dates for his Hope On the Stage 2025 world tour, while teasing “new music on the way” in March.

The new music will mark his first release since his March 2024 six-track EP Hope on the Street Vol. 1, which featured collabs with his BTS bandmate Jung Kook on “I Wonder,” as well as Benny Blanco and Nile Rodgers on “Lock/Unlock” and Le Sserafim’s Huh Yunjin on “I Don’t Know.”

He’s also been stacked with more collaborations this year. Earlier this month, he featured on Don Toliver’s “LV Bag” with Pharrell. He also recently announced a new team-up with Miguel, titled “Sweet Dreams.”

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights on NBC at 11:35 p.m. ET and is be available for streaming on Peacock.

MTV’s ‘Family Legacy’ Returns for Season 2 With Kids of Lil Wayne, DMX, Slipknot’s Corey Taylor & More: Trailer Premiere

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, with Paramount+ announcing on Monday (March 3) the return of MTV’s Family Legacy, a musical docuseries that dives into the lives and careers of iconic artists through the eyes of their children.

In a nearly two-minute preview clip for the second season, premiering exclusively on Billboard, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor’s son Griffin lovingly praises the band as a “circus act from hell,” before Lil Jon’s son Slade gushes, “No one can hype the world up like my dad.” Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae also chimes in at one point, noting, “I always remember just saying that my daddy was a star.”

The 10-episode season 2 captures musicians through the lens of their kids, with exclusive footage and brand-new interviews with the children of more beloved music stars, including Wu-Tang Clan, Salt N Pepa, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DMX, Busta Rhymes, Wyclef Jean, The Go-Go’s, TLC, D’Angelo, Ginuwine, Korn, Daddy Yankee, Matchbox 20, Jam Master Jay, Ja Rule, Teddy Riley and more.

Family Legacy returns on Paramount+ on March 25 in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, and Brazil.

‘American Idol’ Alum Colin Stough Arrested For Alleged DUI, Underage Drinking After Single-Vehicle Crash

Former American Idol finalist Colin Stough was arrested over the weekend and charged with DUI, underage consumption of alcohol and failure to exercise due care. According to AL.com, the Tennessee Highway Patrol took the 20-year-old singer into custody on Friday after he reportedly crashed his car outside of Nashville.

The site reported that highway patrol officers found Stough at 1:24 a.m. on Friday morning while responding to a report of a single-vehicle crash. “Following an investigation, the driver, Colin Stough, was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI), Underage Consumption of Alcohol, and Failure to Exercise Due Care,” Tennessee Department of Public Safety and Homeland Security spokesperson Jason Pack told AL.com; at press time a spokesperson for the Tennessee Highway Patrol had not returned Billboard‘s request for comment on the arrest.

TMZ was first to report on the incident, which it said included the Mississippi native being transported to the hospital before his charging, though it was unclear at press time if Stough had been injured in the accident. The site also reported that Stough bailed out after the incident.

At press time it did not appear that Stough had released an official statement about the arrest, but he did post a video on his Instagram page over the weekend that read “Never let anyone hold you down for not being a certain way” alongside a video for his new single, “Long Gone,” with the on-screen caption reading, “I’m not perfect and will never claim to be. But I will admit when I’m wrong and that’s a fact.”

Stough appeared on season 21 of Idol in 2023, where he came in third behind winner Iam Tongi and runner-up Megan Danielle. Last year Sough released the contemplative country ballad “Sober,” on which he sings, “I could hang out all night, I could drink this bottle dry/ I’m trying to get me gone, and I ain’t getting any closer/ Without your love, I’m sober.”
