Shakira Sings Along to SZA’s ‘Kill Bill’ Following Gerard Piqué Breakup Drama: Watch

Let’s just say, Shakira definitely isn’t spending this Valentine’s Day listening to love songs. In the eight months since she and soccer star Gerard Piqué announced their breakup, the 46-year-old musician hasn’t been shy about publicly shading her ex — and in a Tuesday (Feb. 14) TikTok, she may have just done it again by singing along to SZA‘s “Kill Bill.”

In the TikTok, Shakira wears a black jumpsuit and matching platform heels while mopping the kitchen floor, singing along to the standout single from SZA’s No. 1 album SOS in which she fantasizes about murdering her ex and his new girlfriend: “I might kill my ex, not the best idea / His new girlfriend’s next, how’d I get here?”

The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer didn’t mention Piqué by name in the video or its blank caption, but fans in the comments are convinced they know exactly who the sing-along was directed at. “THE SHADE IS WHAT I’M HERE FOR,” commented one. “I feel you girl,” wrote another. “You’re hella strong. He lost huuuuge time I swear.”

And though it’s probably safe to say that Shakira has no actual plans of committing first-degree murder, she does have experience with an ex quickly moving on to someone new. In her new song with Bizarrap, “BZRP Music Session #53,” she calls out Piqué and slams his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, with whom he went Instagram official last month.

“Good luck with my so-called replacement/ I don’t even know what happened,” she spits on the track, which debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. “You’re acting so weird, I don’t even recognize you/ I’m worth two 22-year-olds/ You traded in a Ferrari for a Twingo/ You traded in a Rolex for a Casio.”

Shakira and Piqué, who dated for 11 years and share sons Milan and Sasha, announced via a joint statement in June 2022 that they were calling it quits. “We regret to confirm that we are separating,” they said at the time. “We ask for privacy at this moment for the well-being of our children, who are our maximum priority. Thank you in advance for your understanding and respect.”

Lana Del Rey is back with yet another track to precede the release of her forthcoming album. On Tuesday (Feb. 14), the “Born to Die” singer returned with “A&W” the second single from Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd.

“A&W” — an abbreviation of “American W—e” — sees Del Rey reflecting on the trappings of her youth as she takes a sensual step into adulthood, appreciating and admiring her own body and the desires it allows her to indulge in, though true love or passion is not on the table.

“Call him up, come in to my bedroom/ Ended up we f–k on the hotel floor/ It’s not about having someone to love me anymorе/ This is the experiеnce of being an American w—e,” she croons on the chorus of the simmering track.

The track takes a turn by the four-minute mark, with its acoustic guitar getting swapped out for booming, down tempo trap beats as she sings of a mysterious man named Jimmy, whose way of living she can’t help but be captivated by, despite knowing his behavior is potentially destructive. “Jimmy, if you switch it up, you should light it up/ Jimmy, if you leave the house, find me in the club/ Your mom called, I told her ‘You’re f—ing up big time,’” she teases on the second half of the track.

Though Del Rey has yet to comment on the track, producer Jack Antonoff said in an Instagram post last year that he is fond of “A&W.” “Can’t wait for everyone to hear this album – ‘american w—e’ is my favorite we’ve ever done,” he wrote at the time.

Ahead of the March 24 release of Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, Lana Del Rey will be honored with the Visionary Award at Billboard’s Women in Music event on March 1. Abbott Elementary‘s Quinta Brunson will host the event; tickets are available to purchase here.

Lana Del Rey Bonds With Billie Eilish Over Being Hated as Young Artists: ‘For Me, It Was Trial by Fire’

Though Lana Del Rey and Billie Eilish rose to indie pop stardom and mainstream fame, respectively, a decade apart, the two share a lot of common ground — and not all of it is easy terrain. In a new piece for Interview Magazine ahead of the former’s March-slated new album Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, the singer-songwriters bonded over being the targets of harsh criticism as young artists in two different eras of pop culture.

Back before she was regarded as one of contemporary pop’s greatest innovators (and Billboard‘s 2023 Women in Music Visionary Award honoree), Lana received some heat when her career first took off in the early 2010s from critics who deemed her persona and lyrics anti-feminist. While being interviewed by Eilish for the Tuesday (Feb. 14) piece, the “Born to Die” singer reflected on the real-life consequences she faced as a result of the negativity surrounding her image.

“All of a sudden, I was walking down the street as I always did, and people would throw elbows at me,” she recalled. “I was like, ‘Oh my god, no way did that actually happen.’ Someone recognized me and gave me a shove. Or in San Francisco, I was eating at a bistro and a woman threw a book about feminism at my face.”

“Everyone gets their fair share of thinkpieces, but there were definitely some 60-page articles about me being the face of feminine submission and the pro-domestic whatever,” Lana continued. “That was quite tough, because at the time, I was just trying to figure things out.”

“For me, it was trial by fire,” she added. “It’s definitely a different era now.”

True as that is, Eilish could still relate. In fact, just the night before she interviewed Lana — whose picture, she revealed, was the wallpaper for her very first cellphone — the “Happier Than Ever” singer says she stumbled upon a harsh TikTok criticizing her character. “I swipe to the next one and it’s a video with millions of likes and it’s something about how I’m a horrible person,” Eilish said.

“And all these comments are like, ‘I’m so glad that you guys are seeing through her.’ And I’m like, ‘Damn.’”

“They don’t ever let anything go,” Eilish also said. “You literally can’t make a single mistake ever. No matter what you do to redeem yourself, it doesn’t matter. They decide that’s who you are and that you deserve death.”

At other points in the interview, the two stars spoke at length about songwriting, Lana’s 16-track new album (out March 24) and their greatest musical influences — with Eilish insisting that her interviewee is one of hers. “You really paved the way for everyone,” the “Bad Guy” singer praised Lana. “People have been trying to look and sound like you since you first started. You changed the way the music industry hears and sees music, and you changed the way people sing.”

Rihanna Paid Sweet Tribute to This Late Fashion Icon at the Super Bowl

Rihanna‘s red-hot ensemble at the 2023 Super Bowl set the fashion world aflame, but it turns out part of her outfit had a particularly special meaning.

Partway through her 13-minute set, the “We Found Love” hitmaker donned a bright red sleeping bag coat by Alaïa for the finale of 2007’s “Umbrella” followed by 2012’s “Diamonds.” And if the glamorous floor-length outerwear looked familiar, it’s because it was a tender homage to André Leon Talley — the late Vogue editor-at-large who passed away in Jan. 2022 and was known to wear his favorite Norma Kamali coat in the same style and hue.

The people running Talley’s still-active Instagram account took note of the tribute and posted a side-by-side of the two looks with the caption, “When the sun shines, we’ll shine together. Told you I’ll be here forever… said I’ll always be your friend” and tagged RiRi with a red balloon emoji.

Rihanna and Talley have a shared history when it comes to fashion as well. For much of the 2010s, the latter was a beloved fixture on the carpet for the Met Gala, where he would interview A-listers for Vogue.com about their personal interpretation of the annual theme set by Anna Wintour. In 2015, he bonded with Rihanna over the jaw-dropping gown she wore in honor of the “China: Through the Looking Glass” exhibition.

“Queen of the night! Break it up, it’s not enough. Beautiful! This moment, this fantasy, I’m dreaming. How did this happen? It’s so beautiful!” Talley raved at the time, later adding, “You are so inspiring to so many people. You’re going to inspire people in this dress…I love you! Can’t wait to see you on stage!”

BTS’ Suga Sets Dates For First Solo Tour

BTS‘ Suga announced the dates for his first-ever solo world tour on Tuesday morning (Feb. 14). According to a posting on Weverse, the unnamed tour is slated to kick off on April 26 at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York before dates at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. (April 29), Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL (May 3, 5 & 6), the Kia Forum in Los Angeles (May 10, 11, & 14) and Oakland Arena in Oakland, CA (May 16, 17).

The outing will then head overseas for dates in Jakarta, Bangkok and Singapore, as well as a two-night stand in BTS’ home country of South Korea at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seioul on June 24 and 25 and as-yet-unannounced gigs in Japan.

A release announcing the tour noted that the Weverse post mentioned Agust D, Suga’s other stage name, which caused a lot of ARMY chatter about what fans might expect from the dates; click here for ticketing and Verified Fan information. The rapper and dancer posted a video in December in which he showed off his smooth moves in a hip-hop dance 101 class with the help of a private instructor.

“Hello everyone. At age 30, I’ve come to take dance lessons. Basic hip-hop moves. It’s been about 12 years since I last did this in high school. I’ll give it a try,” he said in the video, telling fans that he felt like he’d taken a trip back in time to his pre-BTS trainee days. “I’m a mess. This is so hard. It’s so hard to do this [basic moves] after a long time. I feel kind of dumb doing this. When I first joined as a trainee I’d never danced before.”

He also updated ARMY on what he’s been up to since the group announced their hiatus in June. “I’ve learned some basic hip-hop moves. I’ve suddenly got an interest in learning at the age of 30,” he said. ”I’m taking all kinds of lessons now. I’ve started playing the keyboard again. I’m also taking guitar and dance and Japanese and English.”

While J-Hope headlined Lollapalooza in Chicago last July and Jin performed his single “The Astronaut” with Coldplay in Argentina in October, Suga’s outing is the first full-fledged solo tour by a member of BTS. The rapper previously released two mixtapes under his solo alter ego, Agust D (2016) and D-2 (2020).

Happy Valentine’s Day, Swifties! Taylor Swift has dropped a special surprise for Cupid’s holiday on Monday (Feb. 13) — a heart shaped vinyl recording of her performing tracks from her 2019 album Lover live in Paris.

The vinyl announcement arrived on the pop star’s webstore and featured pictures of the new release. Lover (Live From Paris) will be spread across two heart-shaped vinyl records, one baby pink, the other baby blue. Sides A and B holds tracks “ME!,” “The Archer,” “Death By a Thousand Cuts” and “Cornelia Street,” while sides C and D holds tracks “The Man,” “Daylight,” “You Need to Cam Down” and the album’s title track, “Lover.”

“My heart’s been borrowed and yours has been blue. Now both are on vinyl to end up with you,” Taylor Nation tweeted. “#LoverLiveFromParis Special Edition Heart-Shaped Vinyl available while supplies last at store.taylorswift.com!”

The heart-shaped vinyl duo retails for $39.99 and is limited to one per customer, while fans in the United Kingdom are allowed to order two per customer. Fans looking to secure the limited release will likely need to act fast, as Swifties have a reputation for selling out Swift’s special releases rather quickly.

Upon Lover‘s release, it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and spent a total of 181 weeks on the all-genre tally. Singles “ME!” and “You Need to Cam Down” both charted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 while “Lover” and “The Man” hit Nos. 10 and 23, respectively.

The 11-minute Sundae Conversation video interview begins with footage of Adonis, with big blue eyes and curly hair, sitting in place of his dad in the interviewee’s chair. After he finishes sipping on a juice box, he hands it off to his assistant — aka Drake.

“That’s a funny dad,” Adonis says in the Sunday (Feb. 12) interview, looking over at his father sitting off camera. “He does a lot of jokes.”

Adonis also talked about having “a lot of friends of me who are really nice to me” and got candid about when another kid was mean to him, revealing he had to “fight him back.” Drizzy’s son also confessed that he’s not yet able to read, but he knows a kid named Kyle who can.

The “Rich Flex” artist, who shares Adonis with Sophie Brussaux, the founder and artistic director of the nonprofit Arts Help, eventually took over, gushing that his son is always “vibing out with me, telling me how great I am as a single father.” Drake also opened up about that eyebrow-raising necklace he commissioned back in December, which featured 42 diamonds, one for each time he ever thought about proposing to a woman.

“It was more just a joke,” he told host Caleb Pressley. “Obviously, people took it pretty literal. I was just trying to have an interesting story.”

Bruce Springsteen & E Street Band Add 18 Cities to 2023 North American Tour

Just two weeks after hitting the road for their 2023 international tour, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band added a slew of new dates to the North American portion of the outing. On Tuesday (Feb. 14), the band announced additional shows in 18 cities, kicking off with an August 9 gig at Chicago’s legendary Wrigley Field through a Dec. 8 gig at San Francisco’s Chase Center.

The new shows also include multiple-night stands at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank park, New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum. Tickets for the 22 new North American shows will go on sale over the next two weeks, with the first onsale kicking off this Friday (Feb. 17) at 10 a.m. local time.

The tour will be using Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan service for many of the cities (you can pre-register for VF here); VF is open through Sunday (Feb. 19) at 11:59 p.m. ET. Tickets for the show at Wrigley Field and Citizens Bank Park will be sold directly by the stadiums.

Springsteen kicked off the band’s tour with their first North American show in seven years in Tampa, Florida on Feb. 1, but by Friday they were already down a few members. The group’s show in Dallas, Texas was missing both guitarist Steven Van Zandt and violinist/singer Soozie Tyrel, who sat out after testing positive for COVID-19 ahead of their tour stop at the American Airlines Center, while Springsteen’s wife singer/guitarist Patti Scialfa was also absent from the stage for undisclosed reasons.

At press time, Billboard had reached out to Springsteen and the E Street Band’s rep for comment on whether the next planned tour stop, on Tuesday (Feb. 14) in Houston, Texas, will feature the full band.

The Chicks Set 2023 World Tour With Maren Morris, Wild Rivers & Ben Harper

Twelve-time Grammy winning trio The Chicks will take their music global this summer, when The Chicks World Tour 2023 launches in June.

Joining them on the outing are “The Bones” hitmaker Maren Morris, Canadian band Wild Rivers and “Better Way” singer Ben Harper, with each act opening select shows throughout the tour. The tour launches on June 20 in Oslo, Norway and wraps Sept. 18 in Toronto, Ontario. Along the way the Chicks will visit more than 30 cities, including 29 stops in North America. Among their U.S. dates are shows in Nashville, Tennessee (July 27); Grand Rapids, Michigan (Aug. 17); Tulsa, Oklahoma (July 21) and Bethel, New York (Aug. 3).

“Thank you to all our fans for making last Summer so fun! It’s time to get the party going again! We can’t wait to see everyone!” The Chicks said via Instagram.

Tickets will go on sale for all U.S. shows except for Bethel, Hershey, Columbus, St. Paul, & Sioux Falls on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets for shows in Europe, UK, Canada, and St. Paul (U.S.) will go on sale on Friday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets for the Bethel, Hershey, Columbus, and Sioux Falls dates will be available beginning Friday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. local time.

Prior to the tour launch, The Chicks are slated for their six-concert Las Vegas residency at Zappos Theater starting in May, and will take part in Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday celebration concert on April 30 in Los Angeles.

Valentine’s Day is the time to tell the ones you love how you feel about them. But it’s also a day to remember the people in your heart who you can’t share a box of chocolates with anymore. That seemed to be the mood P!nk was in on Tuesday morning (Feb. 14) when she shared a snippet of a moving ballad from her upcoming Trustfall album dedicated to her late father, Jim Moore, who passed away in 2021.

“Sometimes love leaves us too soon. On Valentine’s Day – I cherish the love I have that I can touch – and the love I have in my heart for those who have gone on to the next adventure,” she wrote alongside a 30-second video preview of the song “When I Get There.”

“This one’s for you, Daddy Sir,” she added, using her affectionate nickname for the Vietnam veteran who provides voiceover for the clip. “I thought it would be nice if you had some memories of how it all began and where you all came from,” Moore says over images of P!nk hugging her dad, as well as a montage of school pictures of the singer from childhood through her teen years and film of her parent’s wedding.

“It’ll always be so important to all of us,” Moore says before revealing footage of the singer on her first birthday as the song’s majestic piano bed swells up. “I think of you when I think about forever,” P!nk sings amid a montage of video of her and her dad together. “I hear a joke, and I know you would’a told it better/ I think of you out of the blue.”

P!nk recently revealed the dance-heavy video for the album’s title track; Trustfall is due out on Friday (Feb. 17) via RCA Records. In addition to the singles “Never Gonna Not Dance Again” and the title track, the Lumineers lend a hand on “Long Way to Go,” First Aid Kit join her on “Kids in Love” and Stapleton helps to close things out with final track “Just Say I’m Sorry.”

The high-flying singer has also announced the dates for her massive 21-city “Summer Carnival 2023” stadium tour featuring Brandi Carlile, as well as new Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Pat Benatar & Neil Girlado on select dates and Grouplove and KidCutUp on all the shows.
