Shakira Breaks 14 Guinness World Records With Her Bizarrap-Produced ‘Music Sessions Vol. 53’

Shakira and Bizarrap‘s “Music Sessions Vol. 53” is the gift that keeps on giving.

The Colombian star has officially broken 14 Guinness World Records (GWR) thanks to her Bizarrap-produced “Music Sessions Vol. 53,” which was released in January marking the first collaboration between the two hitmakers.

The dis track now makes them title holders for the most streamed Latin track on Spotify in 24 hours (14,393,324), most viewed Latin track on YouTube in 24 hours (63,000,000), fastest Latin track to reach 100 million views on YouTube (in two days and approximately 22 hours), among other titles, according to a press release. To date, Shakira is a 17-time Guinness World Records title holder.

Shakira and Bizarrap joined forces for “Vol. 53,” in which Shak slams her ex, Spanish soccer star Gerard Piqué, with slick bars about how a top-notch loba shouldn’t settle for any tipos like him, against an electrifying electo-pop backdrop. The track peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and it landed at No. 2 on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. It ruled the Hot Latin Songs chart, scoring Shakira her 12th leader on the tally.

Now, Shakira — whose Grammy Museum exhibit opened to the public March 4 — is making the rounds with “TQG,” her highly-anticipated collaboration with Karol G. The song, part of Karol’s history-making Mañana Será Bonito album — currently sits at No. 1 on the Hot Latin Songs chart (dated March 11).

‘You’ Explains How That Taylor Swift Needle Drop Happened in the Season 4 Finale

Hello…you. The season 4 finale of Netflix’s You contained an epic needle drop of Taylor Swift‘s “Anti-Hero,” and now the show’s creator is dishing on how she nabbed the song.

“We had finished most of the episodes and sent them off to Netflix,” Sera Gamble, who also serves as You‘s showrunner, told E! News on Friday (March 10), “and then we needed this last big song at the end of the final episode and we had one in that was different.” (Don’t worry, no spoilers going forward about the second batch of season 4 episodes, which just premiered on the streamer.)

At first, the thriller’s music team was planning to use one of several “really iconic British songs,” given the season’s London setting, but Gamble changed her mind the moment Swift dropped her 10th album Midnights and its lead single — with its self-loathing refrain of “It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me” — back in October. “I was like, ‘I feel like it’s almost too good what she’s saying and we have to at least try to get this song in.’ Because really, what is You but a Taylor Swift fan love letter disguised as a show?”

There’s no word yet on whether Swift has binged Joe Goldberg’s murderous antics on the latest season of the Netflix hit, but it’s safe to say she’s probably been a bit busy prepping for The Eras Tour, which kicks off on St. Patrick’s Day (March 17) at Glendale, Ariz.’s State Farm Stadium.

To celebrate the musical mastermind’s arrival, Glendale Mayor Jerry P. Weiers announced earlier this week that the town will temporarily be changing its name through her second show on Saturday, March 18.

Watch Austin Butler’s Dramatic Reading of Taylor Swift’s ‘Red’

Austin Butler has made his case to appear on Taylor Swift‘s next rerecording.

Butler took part in W Magazine‘s Lyrical Improv segment, in which actors do a dramatic reading of a popular song. The Elvis star was given Swift’s 2012 hit, “Red,” and he turned the song into a devastating tale of heartbreak, adding to the already emotional lyrics with his low-toned voice and perfectly timed pauses.

“Losing him was blue, like I’d never known / Missing him was dark gray, all alone / Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you never met / But loving him was red,” he read in the chorus.

“Was that alright?” he asked with a laugh when he completed the task.

Swift unveiled the Taylor’s Version of her Red album in 2021, and immediately debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with 605,000 equivalent album units, and the 10-minute version of “All Too Well” shot to the top of the Hot 100 chart. “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (The Short Film)” was up for song of the year and won best music video at the 2023 Grammys.

God Behind Bars shared a video to its Instagram account, along with details of the power couple’s visit to the prison. “300 incarcerated men filled the prison chapel to hear a word from @dangerusswilson,” the caption read.

The video focused on a moment in Ciara’s testimony, during which she was visibly emotional at the power of God’s love. “You know what’s so beautiful about God’s love? It’s relentless, he don’t let off,” she told the inmates. “And you know what I love about God and what he said and his promise is that there’s no abomination in Jesus Christ….so if you ask for forgiveness, he will forgive you. My heart is filled with joy.”

After Ciara’s moment on the mic, she and her husband joined the hall in song, during which several bowed their heads and fully embraced the moment. Wilson later shared the video to his Instagram feed and wrote, “Lord there’s nothing better than YOU!!! Over 300 Maximum Prison Inmates worshipping Jesus! His Grace and Spirit is overwhelming in the midst of mistakes He still loves and forgives. ‘For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.’ ‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬ @GodBehindBars @Ciara.”

Touched by the video, Ciara also shared the moment to her respective Instagram Story, writing, “God’s love is so good.”

Luke Combs banks his 15th No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart as “Going, Going, Gone” leads the list dated March 18. In the tracking week ending March 9, it gained by 1% to 33.5 million audience impressions, according to Luminate.

Combs co-authored the song with Ray Fulcher and James McNair and co-produced it with Chip Matthews and Jonathan Singleton.

On the streaming-, airplay- and sales-based Hot Country Songs chart (dated March 11), “Gone” ranked at No. 6, after hitting No. 5 in January. It drew 9.1 million official streams and sold 2,000 downloads in the United States Feb. 24-March 2.

“Gone” is from Combs’ River House/Columbia Nashville LP Growin’ Up, which launched at No. 1 on Top Country Albums, becoming his fourth leader, last July. On March 24, Combs will release his new 18-song set, Gettin’ Old.

“Gone” follows Combs’ “The Kind of Love We Make,” which rose to No. 2 on Country Airplay in September. Before that, the North Carolina native rattled off a record 14 consecutive career-opening No. 1 singles on Country Airplay, from “Hurricane,” which dominated for two frames starting in May 2017, through “Doin’ This,” which led for a week in May 2022.

‘Wild’ Ride

Corey Kent lands his first Country Airplay top 10 with his first entry on the chart, “Wild as Her.” It lifts 12-10 after increasing by 6% to 18.6 million in audience.

Born in Bixby, Okla., Kent competed on NBC’s The Voice in 2015 (as Corey Kent White). He signed with Sony Music Nashville’s RCA division last July.

Forever Young

In its 68th week on Country Airplay, Brett Young’s “You Didn’t” rises 13-12 for a new high (16.8 million, up 1%) and rewrites the record for the longest stay on the survey.

The song, which Young co-wrote, debuted at No. 60 on the chart dated Dec. 4, 2021, and passes Travis Denning’s “After a Few,” which spent 67 frames on the list. Denning’s lone No. 1 so far reached the summit in its 65th week in June 2020.

In third place, Michael Ray’s “Whiskey and Rain” spent 66 frames on Country Airplay, hitting No. 1 in January 2022 (also in its 65th frame, tying Denning’s record ascent to the top).

Notably, the 20 longest runs on Country Airplay have all occurred since 2020.

“News” is the Matt Berninger-fronted band’s second Adult Alternative Airplay leader. It follows “The System Only Dreams in Total Darkness,” which reigned for seven weeks beginning in August 2017.

In between, the group charted five entries on Adult Alternative Airplay, with three top 10s in that span, paced by the Bon Iver-featuring “Weird Goodbyes” (No. 6 last November).

Concurrently, “News” bullets at No. 31 on Alternative Airplay, having hit No. 28 two weeks earlier. It’s the veteran rockers’ highest-ranking song yet, surpassing the No. 33 peak of “Darkness” in 2017.

On the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, “News” pushes 27-25 with 1.3 million audience impressions, a gain of 4%, March 3-9, according to Luminate. That’s also the band’s career best, outperforming “Darkness” (No. 29).

“News” is the lead single from First Two Pages of Frankenstein, The National’s ninth studio album. Due April 28, it features guest spots from Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers and Sufjan Stevens. Its predecessor, I Am Easy to Find, debuted and peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Alternative Albums chart in June 2019 and has earned 144,000 equivalent album units since its release.

Selena Gomez Reflects on Body-Shaming After Lupus Diagnosis: ‘Nobody Deserves to Hear Those Things’

Selena Gomez sat down for the newest episode of the Apple TV+ series Dear… on Friday (March 10) to discuss her experience with lupus and body-shaming trolls.

The superstar explained that after she was first diagnosed with the disease, she “didn’t quite understand what that meant” at the time. “I knew I had an autoimmune disease, it was just my body fighting itself on the inside,” she said. “And that was the most surreal part because I had never felt fatigue, I was young, I felt completely fine. So hearing from a doctor that, ‘Oh, you could’ve had a stroke onstage, you could’ve died,’ it was a lot.”

As a side effect of the medications she was prescribed for lupus, Gomez’s weight would often fluctuate, and she found herself being attacked online over her body and physical appearance. “It was like they couldn’t wait to find a thing to bring me down,” she said. “I lied. I would go online and post a picture of myself and I would say, ‘It doesn’t matter. I’m not accepting what you’re saying,’ all the while being in the room posting that crying my eyes out, ’cause nobody deserves to hear those things.”

During the episode, the Selena + Chef star also looked back on her 2017 kidney transplant, which she received from her best friend Francia Rasia. “I will never, ever, ever be more in debt to a person than Francia,” she said. “The idea of someone not even second-guessing to be a donor was unbelievably overwhelming. … I think it had to happen the way that it did. In order for me to get to where I am, I was meant to go through it to do something for others.”

Gomez just returned to social media this week after taking a brief break in the wake of perceived drama with Hailey Bieber. “Please, please be kinder and consider others’ mental health,” she shared on TikTok. “My heart has been heavy and I only want good for everyone. All my love.”

The singer’s episode of Dear… is now streaming on Apple TV+.

“Lost” is Linkin Park’s ninth No. 1 on Mainstream Rock Airplay and first since “Until It’s Gone” ruled for a week in September 2014.

The band first led with “Somewhere I Belong” in 2003.

As it tops Mainstream Rock Airplay in just its fourth week, “Lost” ties “What I’ve Done” in 2007 for the band’s quickest climb to No. 1.

“Lost” is a posthumous No. 1 for vocalist Chester Bennington, who died in 2017. The song was recorded during the sessions for 2003’s Meteora and is part of the 20th anniversary reissue of the LP, due April 7. The last song to lead Mainstream Rock Airplay by a deceased singer was Chris Cornell’s “Promise” in October 2020.

Concurrently, “Lost” leads the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay list for a fourth week, after launching at No. 1, with 9.2 million audience impressions, up 4%, March 3-9, according to Luminate. It ranks at its No. 2 high on Alternative Airplay for a second straight frame.

On the most recently published, March 11-dated Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, “Lost” ranked at No. 1 on the strength of 3.4 million official U.S. streams and 2,000 downloads sold in addition to its radio airplay.

Meteora ruled the Billboard 200 for two weeks in April 2003. It has earned 8.5 million equivalent album units to date, including 6.5 million in album sales.

All March 18-dated Billboard charts will update on Billboard.com Tuesday, March 14.
