Cardi B Unveils Cover Art for New Single ‘Enough (Miami)’

Cardi B has had enough!

The rap superstar took to Instagram on Monday (March 11) to share the sultry cover art for her upcoming single, “Enough (Miami),” set for release on Friday (March 15). In the photo, a nude Cardi lays across a white sofa with her hair in long waves down her shoulders, rocking a glass skin look with her makeup. See the photo here.

Last week, Cardi teased the single over on TikTok. “Me vs. you and you know who they pickin’,” she raps on the track. “I can survive in the coldest conditions… B–ches is washed, soapin’ the dishes/ I apply pressure like boa constrictors/ One b–ch, two b–ch, old b–ch, new b–ch, none of y’all not gonna do s–t/ I’m in Miami I pull up on cruise ships.”

The song is a follow-up to Cardi’s recently released single, “Like What (Freestyle).” The song is Cardi’s first solo record since 2021’s “Up,” which earned the rapper her first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit and a 2022 Grammy nomination for best rap performance. Since then she’s dropped “Tomorrow 2” with GloRilla, “Jealously” with Offset and the Megan Thee Stallion collab “Bongos.”

A new album from the rapper would mark her first since 2018’s Invasion of Privacy. The album spawned two No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 singles, the diamond-certified “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It.” She also won the Grammy for best rap album for Invasion of Privacy, topping Pusha T, Mac Miller, Travis Scott and Nipsey Hussle.

In the seven days ahead of this interview, Stray Kids members Felix, Seungmin and I.N. all attended different Paris Fashion Week shows — with Felix making his runway debut walking for Louis Vuitton in the luxury brand’s ready-to-wear 2024/2025 collection presentation — Han dropped a new song “13” via the group’s YouTube channel, Bang Chan also revealed his English song “Eternity” and its accompanying video on YouTube as Nylon Japan premiered a striking fashion film tied to his new magazine cover, and the entire group continued preparations for their upcoming fan-meeting concert “SKZ’S MAGIC SCHOOL” taking place at the end of March. Even when Bang Chan notes that “the Kids sometimes can be shy” in having all eight members discuss their latest endeavors, what comes through in both their full-group cheering responses is the vibrant assurance that SKZ are aiming to deliver something to touch both their beloved STAY fandom and global audiences at large.

Alongside three fellow superstar acts under their JYP Entertainment label, Stray Kids teamed up with Coca-Cola in late February for its new Coca-Cola K-Wave Zero Sugar drop that not only introduces a new “Fruity Fantasy” flavor but looks to honor the international K-pop fandom. The guys join ITZY, NMIXX, plus JYP Entertainment founder J.Y. Park for the Coca-Cola Creations joint single “Like Magic.” which was produced by Park, has Bang Chan credited as a vocal arranger, and Changbin as co-writer.

In addition to the new flavor and music video, the collab is delivering limited-edition apparel and accessories including a special lightstick, digital photo cards, a mobile “fan music video AI experience” via the Coca-Cola Creations microsite, all capped off with the K-Wave Concert for Inkigayo, scheduled for June 2 that promises to host JYP talent and other top K-pop names including Stray Kids, ITZY, NMIXX and more.

“The experience starts with an amazing Coca-Cola Zero Sugar taste accompanied by a dash of fruity K-pop magic,” adds Oana Vlad, the senior director of Global Strategy at the Coca-Cola Company. “We are excited to celebrate one of the most passionate fan communities in the world and create new experiences that we hope will bring Coca-Cola magic to fans across the globe.”

Looking ahead to the K-Wave Concert and the year that the group already confirmed will include — and you might need to a breath to take it all in — a fan-meeting concert, third world tour, an album, a “special” album, pop-up stores and loads more digital content, Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Han, Hyunjin, Felix, Seungmin and I.N. gave Billboard some additional insight into their first major 2024 project and what else is coming.

Congratulations on launching this new campaign for the Coca-Cola K-Wave Zero Sugar. I think the first order of business is to know if you’ve tried it and what you think of this new flavor?

All: Yeah, tastes good!!!

Hyunjin: It’s really very nice. The taste was refreshing, a little like bubblegum, and a somewhat cloudy or misty feeling.

Seungmin: One of the best Cokes in the world.

You and several of your JYP Entertainment artists participated in this campaign that honors K-pop fandom. What’s your overall take on it?

Bang Chan: You know how you just mentioned how this campaign “honors K-pop fandom,” right? But it’s really an honor for us to be able to be in the campaign that honors K-pop fandom, you know what I mean? I feel like it’s just really a good opportunity for not only us, but the other artists in JYP to really spread out the word about K-pop and, that itself is just something that we are very honored to do. And hopefully, people out there can really look forward to the K-pop wave.

Changbin: I usually drink one or two Cokes a day—two Zero Cokes a day, that is! I’m so happy to be able to host this campaign with the actual drink and our JYP family; I think it’s very meaningful. I believe that Zero Coke can unite us all—K-pop fans, JYP family, and Stray Kids. I’m looking forward to continuing that love.

You all participated in the song and video for “Like Magic” alongside J.Y. Park, ITZY, and NMIXX. Changbin wrote alongside JYP, and Bang Chan is a vocal arranger. What was the process of working together?

Bang Chan: Vocal arranging is something that I’ve always done, especially with our own music and everything. But JYP himself was like, “Oh, Chan, you can just direct by yourself; you know the members better than I do, so just get all the vocals done.” And then with like the tuning, editing, the arranging — I figured that out myself as well, and it was a pretty cool experience because usually, we work on music on our own, but to do it for someone else like JYP, it was a great honor, and it was overall very, very fun.

Changbin: When I first heard the song, it was quite new and had kind of a fun feeling to me. So, I was really contemplating and thinking a lot about how to reflect and meld my rap style on it. I’m really happy that the results seemed really fine and Mr. JYP also said he’s happy with that. Also, getting to work with him after a long time, I was really thrilled because it’s been a while since I worked with him as the producer.

Moving from the production, how was it to collaborate on a song with so many of your fellow JYP artists?

Bang Chan: Our company is very much a “family-ship,” you know what I mean? We all looked out for each other, and having a chance to work on something together was really, really fun. I mean, we didn’t actually get to see each other at the music video set and everything — because everyone’s schedules are very, very busy and different — but it kind of felt like as if we were doing like JYP Nation [the name for company-wide JYP Entertainment songs or concerts].

Some of the members spent time as kids in different countries. Are there any special Coke flavors you remember loving as kids?

Felix: When I was younger, I remember drinking a lot of Vanilla…

All: Wow!!!

Felix: I remember I was at a party one time, there was a whole crate of Vanilla Coke and I was drinking, like, six at a time. I think that’s my biggest memory and that was with Vanilla Coca-Cola.

Coca-Cola also announced a K-Wave Concert for Inkigayo scheduled for June 2, where you will perform. Is there a chance fans can look forward to new Stray Kids music by then?

Bang Chan: It’s only March and we have so much to do for this year. Look, Jeff, I’m not going to spoil too much, but we have a lot prepared. I’m pretty sure you’re going to be surprised, but I can say we have many things prepared — very different from what we’ve done so far. So, hopefully, people out there can really, I guess, take it all in with our stuff that we’re going to come out with and everything goes well. Hopefully, STAYs really enjoy what we are going to bring out and 2024 can be another great year for Stray Kids.

To expand slightly, the “2024 STEP OUT” video teased a lot. Is there anything else you can share?

Bang Chan: We’ll let your imagination get you there. [Laughs]

Fair enough. What else do we need to know as you begin 2024 with this first big collaboration?

Bang Chan: We’re always processing everything, but we’re just really confident and feel really great that we have STAYs out there because it’s all because of them that we’re getting all these great results. It’s a gift from STAY, and we just want to create more gifts for STAYs out there — 2024 is “the year of giving.” Hopefully, us Stray Kids can give more to not only STAYs, but to everyone out there. So, thank you Billboard for everything, and thanks to Coca-Cola for giving us this great experience and opportunity to work on a very great campaign.

Felix: And we look forward to the future! Today was very fun having to answer a lot of good questions and talk about the Coca-Cola campaign; it was great to get in-depth with it. We just hope that our messages can very clearly spread to the world and show a lot of positivity. We hope that [everyone] can enjoy this year’s Coca-Cola K-Wave edition — just can’t wait.

The couple is fresh off a flight from Singapore, where Swift performed a series of Eras tour shows at National Stadium. In a sweet clip taken just moments after the show wrapped, the athlete waits patiently backstage for the 14-time Grammy winner to make her way toward him — after which she wraps her arms around him and kisses him as fans roar with delighted screams.

Fan videos also captured Kelce passionately dancing to the pop star’s Reputation lead single, “Look What You Made Me Do,” rocking from side to side while singing along to the lyrics. And yes, he did snag one of Swift’s signature light-up bracelets, matching the rest of the crowd.

Watch 311 Bring the House ‘Down’ on NPR’s ‘Tiny Desk’

For the 3/11 installment of Tiny Desk, NPR welcomed the most apt band possible: 311.

Helmed by lead singer and guitarist Nick Hexum, the Nebraska rock band squeezed in behind the office’s literal tiny desk space to kick things off with “Beautiful Disaster,” a tune from 311’s 1997 album Transistor. With Tim Mahoney on guitar, Doug “SA” Martinez on turntables and vocals, Chad Sexton on drums and Aaron “P-Nut” Wills on bass, the group then segued into a hit from its self-titled 1995 record, “All Mixed Up.”

“This kind of reminds me of being in my dad’s basement, being back next to the pool table,” Hexum remarked, before quipping, “But it smells better here.”

311 went on to slow things down a bit for “Amber” from 2001’s From Chaos. For their finale, the guys closed with “Down,” also from their self-titled LP.

After strumming their last notes, P-Nut held up a hand heart. “Thank you so much!” a beaming Hexum told the in-house audience as they showered the band with applause. “Much love. Stay positive, love your life.”

In September, 311 released a 30th-anniversary edition of its 1993 debut album Music. In the years since the original Music, the group has notched 16 albums on the Billboard 200, 10 of which made it into the top 10.

The band’s most recent studio album, Voyager, arrived in 2019 and debuted at No. 18 on the Billboard 200.

In 2022, 311 went through “a bit of a rough time,” as revealed by Hexum on Billboard‘s Behind the Setlist podcast. P-Nut had tweeted that he was “planning on taking a break from the band” upon fulfilling his obligations; however, within the next five months, the group was able to resolve things behind the scenes.

“I think breaks are healthy, and we have had a fairly intense touring schedule” Hexum said at the time. “Everything feels pretty well on track. And we’ve we’ve had some really good talks and discussions lately. We’re excited about the next chapter — P-Nut included.”

Fans of the band celebrate every March 11 as 311 Day, so it’s only appropriate that they celebrate with a Tiny Desk Concert for the band’s custom holiday. Watch 311 take on Tiny Desk above.

Sabrina Carpenter Just Wants to Follow Cillian Murphy Home After the Oscars

Sabrina Carpenter loves Cillian Murphy so much that he’s got her talking nonsense.

While preparing for the Academy Awards festivities on Sunday night (March 10), the pop star sang Murphy’s praises and told Vanity Fair what she would do if she ran into the Oscar-winning Oppenheimer star at an afterparty.

“If I see Cillian Murphy, I’m probably gonna leave the party. Probably gonna leave with him,” she quipped. “I’m not going to leave with him, I’m just going to leave at the same time as him, so I can see where he lives. So I can follow his car.”

Carpenter graced the red carpet for the Vanity Fair Oscars party with a different Oscar-nominated Irishman: Barry Keoghan. Keoghan — who most recently starred in the “Murder on the Dancefloor”-reviving Saltburn — picked up a best supporting actor nod for his turn in The Banshees of Inisherin at the 95th Academy Awards, while Murphy triumphed at Sunday’s ceremony for his towering performance as J. Robert Oppenheimer in the Christopher Nolan-helmed Oppenheimer, which was also crowned best picture.

Even though Carpenter and Keoghan didn’t pose together, they did walk the carpet at the same time. The steady progression of their joint public outings has reached something of a fever pitch this month. During Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stop at Singapore’s National Stadium on March 4, fans captured footage of Carpenter — who opened for all six shows in Singapore — running into Keoghan’s arms after completing her set. The night prior (March 3), fans also got footage of Keoghan’s glowing reaction to Carpenter’s now-trademark freestyle “Nonsense” outro. Moreover, in photos of the two stars at the Oscars afterparty, Keoghan can be seen wearing an Eras Tour friendship bracelet spelling out the “Feather” singer’s first name.

Trisha Yearwood & Questlove Added to ‘This Is Spinal Tap’ Sequel

Trisha Yearwood and Questlove are the latest stars to join the cast of This Is Spinal Tap 2, which is now in production more than 40 years after Rob Reiner’s original rock music mockumentary premiered in 1984.

The sequel will find Reiner both reprising his role as Martin “Marty” Di Bergi and returning to direct, with Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer stepping back into their characters as the titular heavy metal band. Previously confirmed cameos include Garth Brooks, who is married to Yearwood, as well as Sirs Paul McCartney and Elton John.

Plotted by Reiner and the main cast, Spinal Tap 2 will pick up 15 years into Spinal Tap’s apparent hiatus, with the band deciding to reunite for one final concert. Shooting in New Orleans reportedly began in February.

Regarded as the first-ever mockumentary, Reiner’s original cult classic focused on the fictional rock trio as they embarked on their 1982 U.S. tour in support of their controversial Smell the Glove album. In 2002, it was named as a “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” film by the Library of Congress and was selected for preservation by the National Film Registry.

In a December interview with Billboard, Brooks teased that the sequel would boast a “few other surprises” in addition to its A-list cameos. “If you think you have laughed before, Jiminy Christmas …,” he said at the time. “First of all, I was in love with Spinal Tap, in love with the original movie. The fact that it’s coming back, it’s gonna be neat to be a part of this. Because this is history, man.”

Karl Wallinger of The Waterboys & World Party Dies at 66

Karl Wallinger, who was a short-lived member of Welsh rock band The Waterboys and then helmed his solo project World Party, died Sunday (March 10). He was 66, according to his publicist. No cause of death or place was given.

Wallinger also worked with Sinead O’Connor, had his music covered by Robbie Williams, and was featured on 1994’s Reality Bites soundtrack.

The multi-instrumentalist was born in Prestatyn, Wales, in 1957. After serving as musical director for a West End production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Wallinger joined the Michael Scott-led Waterboys for the alternative rock band’s second album, 1984’s A Pagan Place, providing keyboards, percussion and backing vocals. By the time he finished work on their third album, This Is the Sea, which included the Scott/Wallinger composition “Don’t Bang the Drum,” he was done.

In its review of 1985, a Waterboys’ boxed set devoted to the creation This Is the Sea, Mojo describes the fractious, yet fruitful musical dynamic between Scott and Wallinger. “It’s the volatile relationship between [Wallinger] and Scott that forms another key narrative on 1985. Long, stoned sessions at Seaview, Wallinger’s home studio in central London, prove inventive. A first instrumental take on ‘The Pan Within’ is a gorgeous meeting of aesthetics, with Scott – organic, gestural – on piano and guitar, and Wallinger providing rubbery, funky synth bass and drumbox.”

Shortly thereafter, Wallinger left The Waterboys and in 1986 formed World Party, a primarily solo endeavor with Wallinger bringing in a revolving cast of musicians as needed to his atmospheric pop universe.

World Party’s debut album, Private Revolution, spawned what ended up being the act’s biggest hit, the cynical indie-pop anthem “Ship of Fools,” which reached No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album included a then-unknown Sinead O’Connor on backing vocals and Wallinger then helped O’Connor on her album debut, 1988’s The Lion and the Cobra. Wallinger reissued “Ship of Fools” in 2018 with a new video that included newsreel footage of Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, Stormy Daniels, refugee camps and environmental crises. The lyric video concluded with the declaration “Now more than ever.”



World Party’s second album, Goodbye Jumbo, included “Way Down Now,” which reached No. 1 on Billboard‘s Alternative Songs chart, and “Put the Message in the Box” and was nominated for best alternative music performance at the 33rd annual Grammy Awards. World Party’s fourth album, 1997’s Egyptology, included “She’s the One,” which Williams later covered and took to No. 1 on the U.K. Singles Chart. 

Wallinger suffered an aneurysm in 2001 and had to reteach himself to talk and play instruments. Following his recovery, World Party returned to the road, including playing South by Southwest and Bonnaroo in 2006. Their last tour was in 2015, and their last recording was 2012’s Arkeology, a 70-track collection of new and live songs, as well as cover tunes. “It was my homespun attempt at making something interesting,” he told BuzzineNetwork. “On this album there’s lots of different kinds of music…It’s not really one genre which has been one of our problems, actually; we’ve never been able to be marketed to any particular audience. It’s just music really.”

In a 2022 interview with The Big Takeover Show, following the reissue of Egyptology, Wallinger talked about the power of music and what he aimed for as a songwriter: “It’s good to write songs about stuff that people think about, that I thought about … I’ve always thought it should be something to do with healing or finding things out about the world that have truth. It maybe sounds a little idealistic, but it’s what music is about. It’s kind of a pure thing, music. I’m not left or right wing; I don’t even think in terms of that. I just want people to have what they need to get through living on the planet.”

Survivors include his wife, a son and daughter, and two grandchildren.

Reneé Rapp Makes Red Carpet Debut With Towa Bird

Looks like Reneé Rapp is no longer single!

The “Tummy Hurts” singer attended the annual Vanity Fair Oscars Party on Sunday night (March 10) alongside Towa Bird, a fellow musician who spent the past few months touring with Rapp as a supporting act on the latter’s Snow Hard Feelings Tour.

According to People, the two first posed separately on the red carpet, with Rapp rocking a flowing white gown with a plunging V-neck and high slit. Bird, meanwhile, opted for a light-wash denim suit lined with studs and completed with a fitting embroidered bird on the lapel.

Rapp and Bird then posed together on the carpet, before heading inside Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and spending time together inside the party. While the duo looked close in photos, neither person has publicly confirmed or denied the relationship.

Rapp is a week out from her March 4 concert in Dublin, the last show of her tour’s European leg, which kicked off Feb. 13 in Paris. As of now, she’ll next take the stage in April at Coachella, where she’s slated to perform both weekends on the 14th and 21st.

Jimmy Kimmel Says He Was Told Not to Read Donald Trump’s 2024 Oscars Criticism During Live Show

When you’ve hosted the Oscars four times, you probably have a little more leeway in doing what you want instead of what you’re asked. That’s apparently how it went down with one particular viral moment during the 96th annual Academy Awards on Sunday (March 10), when host Jimmy Kimmel decided to share Donald Trump’s criticism of the live show.

The comedian sat down with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos for After the Oscars, which aired Monday morning on ABC, to discuss how the moment came to be. The topic came up after the Live With Kelly and Mark cohosts mentioned Al Pacino’s flub in announcing the best picture winner from the Dolby Theatre stage in Los Angeles. Rather than reading off the names of all the nominated projects, the celebrated 83-year-old actor skipped over the titles of the 10 films and went straight to opening the envelope and revealing the winner with a non-traditional, “And my eyes see Oppenheimer!”

“I guess he’s never watched an award show before? It seems like everyone in America knows the rhythm of how it’s supposed to go down to ‘And the Oscar goes to …,” Kimmel noted. And because of that unique and very brief announcement, the late-night host said he was told he had some extra time to kill — but his idea for eating up an extra moment or two didn’t go over so well.

“I was like, ‘I’m reading the Trump tweet,’” Kimmel shared. “They were like, ‘No! No don’t read that!’ I said, ‘Yes I am!’”

And so, he did. The Jimmy Kimmel Live! host pulled out his cellphone while on stage and proceeded to share the twice-impeached former president’s review of the comedian’s fourth time hosting the Oscars. Trump’s critique posted to Truth Social read in part, “Has there EVER been a WORSE HOST than Jimmy Kimmel at The Oscars. His opening was that of a less than average person trying too hard to be something which he is not, and never can be.” He also slammed the ceremony as a “really bad politically correct show.”

Kimmel’s clapback to Trump on the live telecast? “Isn’t it past your jail time?”

The former president, who is also the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination this year, is currently facing four criminal indictments and more than 90 charges in various states.
