G Flip Thinks Inside the BOX For New Drinks Range

G Flip has something tasty for their next release.

The singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Australia is behind BOX, an alcoholic juice available in two flavors — Apple Guava and Tropical Bang.

“My drink of choice has always been juice and alcohol,” reckons GFlip (real name Georgia Flipo). One because I like the flavor of juice, and two since becoming a singer, I stay away from carbonation – think burping on stage, nobody wants that. So juice and alcohol is what I drink before I perform – it’s my vibe.”
Created at Moon Dog Craft Brewery in G’s hometown, Melbourne, the beverage is “the real deal,” the indie artist adds. “No word of a lie, it tastes amazing.”

BOX will be available across Australia from this month in 330ml cans (4.5% ABV), launching with retail group Endeavour Drinks, and rolling out and liquor chains BWS and Dan Murphy’s.

“It’s a largely untouched category and brand new product, unlike anything else on our shelves at the moment,” comments Endeavour Group’s head of spirits Sarah Hall. “It offers trusted and nostalgic flavours. And importantly, it’s ticking all the boxes in terms of what our consumers are looking for right now, particularly Millennials.”

G Flip has every right to enjoy a celebratory drink or three.

Earlier this year, G established a new record by landing a total of seven songs in triple j’s Hottest 100 countdown, including the No. 2 ranked track, “The Worst Person In The World.” That bettered the mark previously held by rock trio Wolfmother, which scored six entries back in 2005.

The year 2023 was a stellar one for G, who landed a first ARIA No. 1 album with Drummer, released in August through via Future Classic/Universal (their debut from 2019, About Us, peaked at No. 6), and bagged two ARIA Awards.

‘I Am So Sorry’: Pink Cancels Concert On Doctor’s Orders

Pop icon Pink has been forced to cancel her upcoming concert in Bern, Switzerland, due to health concerns.

“I do everything I can to ensure I can perform for you every night, but after consultation with my doctor and exploring all options available, I’ve been advised that I’m unable to continue with the show tomorrow,” Pink wrote in her post.

“I was looking forward to being with you and making memories with you and sharing our show with you and am so disappointed that we have to cancel.”

She added, “Sending love and health to you all, and I really hope to see you again soon.”

The highly anticipated concert was scheduled to take place on July 3 at Stadion Wankdorf in the Swiss capital, as part of her ongoing Summer Carnival tour.

Currently, Pink is in the middle of her Summer Carnival tour, promoting her 2023 album Trustfall.

The tour has seen her perform over 70 shows across Europe and North America, with more than 30 additional dates scheduled through the end of 2024.

Opening acts for the tour include Gayle, KidCutUp, and The Script in Europe, with Sheryl Crow joining The Script and KidCutUp for the North American leg.

This isn’t the first time Pink has had to adjust her tour schedule. Last year, she postponed a concert in Arlington, Texas, due to a sinus infection and rescheduled two shows in Tacoma, Washington, citing “family medical issues.” The new dates for those performances have been set for September and November, respectively.

While the sudden cancellation in Bern is disappointing, fans remain supportive of Pink’s decision to prioritize her health.

“Your health comes first,” one fan commented on her Instagram post. “We’ll be here when you’re ready.”

Watch 9-Year-Old Belt Out a Tina Turner Classic on ‘America’s Got Talent’

Tuesday’s episode (July 2) of America’s Got Talent introduced viewers to an incredible young talent — 9-year-old Pranysqa Mishra from Tampa, Fla.

Pranysqa’s powerful rendition of Tina Turner’sRiver Deep, Mountain High” left the judges and audience wildly impressed, ultimately earning her the coveted Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum.

Before her Season 19 audition, Pranysqa shared her lifelong passion for singing, which dates back as far as she can remember.

“I always just love singing. It makes me feel happy. Even when I was four years old, I would pretend that I have a microphone, and I would sing like I’m singing to the whole world,” she enthused.

Pranysqa credited her grandmother as her main inspiration and the driving force behind her burgeoning career, along with her musical idols Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, and Whitney Houston.

Despite admitting to some nerves, particularly about performing in front of the notoriously tough Simon Cowell, Pranysqa’s confidence shone through the moment she began singing with a commanding voice that defied her youth.

The judges were visibly stunned, exchanging looks of disbelief as her powerful vocals filled the auditorium.

“Oh my gosh, I did not expect that. We expect a lot of things, but I did not expect that,” Heidi Klum exclaimed.

Without hesitation, Klum hit the Golden Buzzer, sending Pranysqa straight to the live shows. “I want you to call your grandmother and say that Heidi Klum pushed the Golden Buzzer for you,” she told the young singer.

When the golden confetti rained down on Pranysqa, she began crying tears of happiness, clearly in shock that she had earned the golden honor. “My dream is coming true. I can’t believe it,” she said, reflecting on her grandmother’s prediction that she would one day perform on a big stage.

Pranysqa’s family joined her on stage for an emotional celebration, with tears of joy and hugs all around. Klum then helped Pranysqa call her grandmother to share the incredible news.

“You are absolutely incredible,” Heidi Klum told the pint-sized powerhouse after her performance.

Rihanna Knows It’s ‘Wild Hypocritical,’ But Asks GloRilla Anyway: ‘When the Album Drop?’

Rihanna recently went viral for hilariously rapping and dancing along to Glorilla‘s “TGIF” single — with A$AP Rocky‘s reaction being a meme in and of itself — and on Tuesday (July 2), Glo posted a DM from RiRi herself containing a “wild hypothetical” question.

“You got all summer sis!” the Fenty mogul wrote to the “Yeah Glo!” hitmaker, who shared the DM on the last slide of an Instagram carousel from her 2024 BET Awards afterparty. “I know dis wild hypothetical, but when the album drop?”

The superstar has been asked by fans the status of her ninth album basically since her eighth project Anti dropped in 2016, but R9‘s whereabouts continue to be a mystery. Earlier in June, Rihanna wore an “I’m Retired. This Is As Dressed Up As I Get.” T-shirt, and almost a week later, she clarified to Extra that it was just a fashion statement. “They didn’t read the second line. I’m not retired, I’m just retired from dressing up — it’s a lot of effort,” Rihanna said. The “Don’t Stop the Music” hitmaker also let Entertainment Tonight know where she’s at in the process with her album. “Yeah, I’m starting over. But I don’t want to neglect the songs that I have, so I actually want to go back and listen to stuff with new ears, with my new perspective and then see what applies and what I’m still in love with,” she said.

The CMG rapper has yet to release her debut album, but Glo released her mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang in April, which reached No. 4 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and No. 18 on the Billboard 200. She performed “TGIF” as well as “Yeah Glo!” and “Wannabe” with Megan Thee Stallion at the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday, where she was nominated for best female hip-hop artist and BET Her for “Yeah Glo!”

Bette Midler Gives a ‘Thumbs Down’ to the Supreme Court With ‘Wizard of Oz’ Parody Song

Bette Midler is going down the yellow brick road to justice.

The Grammy and Tony Award winner took to social media on Tuesday (July 2) to share a Wizard of Oz parody song that calls out several Supreme Court Justices, including Clarence Thomas, John Roberts, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.

“Neil and Brett, you spiteful judges/ We gals are holding grudges/ Keep church and state apart/ You could be less disruptive, in all matters reproductive/ If you only had a heart,” she sings in the track, written by Eric Kornfeld and directed by Marc Shaiman.

“Thumbs down to autocracy!! #VoteBlue2024ProtectDemocracy,” she captioned the post.

Midler has long been an outspoken liberal and critic of Trump, but even she found herself in hot water in 2022 over making what some perceived as anti-trans comments on Twitter in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.

At the time, the controversy ignited a discussion around the importance of using inclusive language, and the Grammy, Emmy and Tony winner insisted there was “no intention of anything exclusionary or transphobic” in her sentiments.

“The truth is, Democracy is slipping through our fingers! I’m all in on trying to save Democracy for ALL PEOPLE. We must unite, because, in case you haven’t been paying attention, divided we will definitely fall,” she noted at the time.

Dua Lipa Goes Shares Romantic Photos With Boyfriend Callum Turner at Glastonbury

Glastonbury was both a romantic and professional outing for Dua Lipa, who both headlined the festival and enjoyed the event with boyfriend Callum Turner by her side.

And now that the weekend is over, the 28-year-old pop star shared a carousel of photos from her time on the grounds — featuring a couple sweet snaps with the Fantastic Beasts actor that mark the couple’s Instagram debut.

In one of the pictures, Turner appears to kiss Lipa’s head, one arm around her shoulder. In another, the pair lays together on the grass, engrossed in conversation with big smiles on their faces.

Trending on Billboard

“dancing until you see the sunrise at stone circle is the glasto ritual,” she captioned the post, which also featured photos of the singer with friends as well as a video snippet of her headlining set.

In addition to Lipa, Coldplay and SZA also led the 2024 festival June 26-30. Plus, Camila Cabello, Avril Lavigne, Cyndi Lauper and dozens of other artists took the Glastonbury stage.

The “Levitating” singer and Turner have been rumored to be dating for months. In February, they attended a British Vogue party in London together followed by a BRIT Awards afterparty in March. By the time several fan cameras captured them holding hands at Glastonbury over the weekend, it had been pretty well established that the two stars are a couple.

Lipa’s headlining set at the festival comes about a month after her latest album Radical Optimism debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, her highest peak to date. The musician has several tour dates slated across Europe throughout the summer, as well as a string of performances in Asia for November and December.

The “Houdini” artist also recently opened up about her political opinions, especially concerning her recent support for Palestine amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. “It’s always going to be met with a backlash and other people’s opinions, so it’s a big decision,” she told Radio Times last month. “I balance it out, because ultimately I feel it’s for the greater good, so I’m willing to [take that hit].”
