It’s official, Spaceballs 2 is going into full production. And luckily for us, most of the original cast is still alive and acting (RIP John Candy) and will be returning to the Star Wars parody when principal photography gets underway.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 1987 cult classic comedy will finally be getting the sequel that fans have been clamoring for since the late ’80s. With the likes of Mel Brooks, Rick Moranis, and Bill Pullman, the film will surely give us older heads all the nostalgic feelings we can handle. With that being the case, the franchise will introduce new yet familiar actors to the franchise including Josh Gad (Ghostbusters: Afterlife), Keke Palmer (NOPE), and Pullman’s real-life son, Lewis Pullman (Thunderbolts).
The Hollywood Reporter reports:
Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Lewis Pullman will play a character named Starburst, the sun of Queen Vespa (Zuniga) and Lone Starr (Bill Pullman). Franchise newcomer Palmer will play a role by the name of Destiny. The two, along with Gad, are the leads.
One has to comb the desert to find plot details, but Amazon amiably describes the new project this way: “While the title, plot details, and rest of cast are being kept under wraps, the film has been described by those who have not yet read the script as ‘A Non-Prequel Non-Reboot Sequel Part Two’ but with Reboot Elements Franchise Expansion Film.”
Imagine’s Brian Grazer and Jeb Brody are producing alongside Gad, Brooks and Greenbaum. Kevin Slater, Adam Merims, Benji Samit and Dan Hernandez will executive produce.

We’re still months away from finally seeing what James Gunn has been cooking in his DC Studios when Superman: Legacy hits theaters on July 11, and with all kinds of rumors being thrown around as to who’ll be appearing or making cameos, it seems like we’ve gotten confirmation as to which villain will be involved in the film and we aren’t talking about Lex Luthor.
According to Newsweek, it’s been leaked that Superman villain Ultraman will be part of Superman: Legacy and for those that aren’t familiar with the villain, he’s basically an evil version of Superman from an alternate universe. Confirmation came as the action figure for the villain was revealed online and fans were excited to learn that Superman would be going toe-to-toe with an bad version of himself (not like in 1983’s Superman III though. That was just weird).
As for a little backstory on the villain, Newsweek breaks it down.
Newsweek reports:
In the comics, Ultraman is from an alternate universe in which most of people who we know as heroes in DC comics are instead villains. For example, instead of the Justice League of America, Ultraman is part of the Crime Syndicate of America. A villain named Johnny Quick replaces The Flash, Power Ring instead of Green Lantern, Owlman instead of Batman, etc.
So if the Ultraman of “Superman” is – like his comic book counterpart – a Superman variant, the question is exactly how A.R.G.U.S. finds him and gets him to help them out. The Ultraman of the comics would need a whole lot of convincing to help A.R.G.U.S. or anyone else to work for something other than his own selfish designs; not to mention doing it while hiding his identity.
Y’all already know Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) might’ve figured out a way to pull off such a feat. He’s an evil mastermind for Christ’s sake.
The only question is, who’ll be behind the mask of Ultraman? With rumors that Henry Cavill is somehow a part of this film (fingers crossed), imagine the theater reaction to a reveal that Cavill is the evil Superman? Heads would explode. Just sayin.’
What do y’all think about Ultraman being a big baddie in Superman: Legacy? Do you have any expectations for the film? Let us know in the comments section below.

It’s gotta be tough being Superman—routinely saving the world, and the media, incels and trolls—and supervillains—Monday morning quarterbacking as if he’s actually a danger to good samaritans. This is the treatment Kal-El aka Clark Kent (David Corenswet) is getting from Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) in the latest trailer for James Gunn’s Superman.
“I wasn’t representing anybody except for me…and, and doing good,” says the exasperated Kryptonian when his actions are questioned. While the line of questioning sounds familiar to anyone who pays attention to politics, the action we’re also seeing in this official trailer is all new. Like Lex Luthor rolling up into and wreaking havoc in the Fortress of Solitude and the Man of Steel catching, and delivering, a whole lot of fades.
Gunn also got his money’s worth when it comes to DC IP with more looks at Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), Mister Terrific (Edi Gathegi) and Metamorpho (Anthony Carrigan)l, among others. We’re not too sure of Luthor’s buzz saw-handed henchwoman just yet, but she’s superpowered and viewers will definitely be looking forward to her catching a bad one.
And clearly, Krypto is going to be a fan favorite.
Superman is theaters on July 11. Watch the Superman official trailer below.

Stephen King may not be the big name on the film scene that he was in the ’80s and ’90s, but us older folks are familiar with the man’s game so best believe whenever his name is attached to a new project we’re all in on whatever it is.

On Wednesday (May 7), Lions Gate released the first trailer for their upcoming film adaptation of Stephen King’s 1979 novel, The Long Walk, and while it’s not a horror film per se it’s definitely a nerve-racking scary movie simply because it seems like something that could happen in Trump’s America (just sayin’). Centering a contest where participants are asked to simply walk as far as possible, things take a crazy turn as the rule states that anyone who walks below 3 miles per hour gets their ticket punched i.e. killed.
With soldiers accompanying them and shooting down contestants one by one, the group of walkers know that the last man standing isn’t just going to win the big prize (cash), but the prize of life itself. With men dropping off one by one due to health issues or simply trying to get out of the contest itself (bang, bang), The Long Walk seems like the kind of thriller that’ll have you hoping society never comes to such dystopian levels. With Cheeto Jesus in charge, it might though!
Check out the trailer for Stephen King’s The Long Walk below, and let us know if you’ll be checking it out when it hits theaters sometime this year.

Marvel is back, even though it never really left. The official trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps has arrived and it’s loaded with all the comic delights that makes the MCU great and leaves movie fans begging for more.
A proper rendition of The Fantastic Four—Mister Fantastic aka Reed Richards (portayed by Pedro Pascal), the Invisible Woman aka Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), the Human Torch aka Johnny Storm (Joseph Queen aka dude from that last season of Stranger Things) and The Thing aka Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach)—has had several attempts, and fails, but the 2025 version is a reset (well, a rero-futuristic take apparently) that’s shaping up like a proper represenation of the fan-favorite franchise.
We already saw the namesake heroes in the teaser but the trailer up the ante with our first looks at world-eater Galactus and his herald The Silver Surfer (portrayed by a woman, Julia Garner—that will surely get the panties of the toxic fanboys in a bunch). Later for those bozos, because these visual look stunning.
We also get to see Mr. Fantastic in action, and he manages to not look corny.
Watch the trailer for Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps below as well as giddy social media reactions in the gallery. It hits theaters Juky 25, but feel free to move that date up, Marvel.
1. Facts, they matter.
4. Is that a compliment?
5. Already mad.

The Tron franchise may not have the cult following of say a Star Wars or even Star Trek, but it does have a decent sized fanbase. And now, they’ll be able to experience an entirely new story as Disney released a new trailer to the upcoming Tron: Ares, and it looks pretty damn interesting.
Starring Jared Leto and OG Tron star, Jeff Bridges, Tron: Ares continues the legacy. Though plot details are scarce right now, it does seem like the digital world of Tron will somehow enter our reality and lead to a war that humanity is just not prepared for. The new teaser trailer was revealed at the D23 event this past weekend, and according to Variety, Jeff Bridges was amazed at just how far the franchise has come these past few decades.
Per Variety:
“It’s really unbelievable to think we made the original in 1982,” Bridges said on stage when “Tron: Ares” was unveiled during the 2024 D23 Expo. “It’s amazing — we never thought we would have this legacy that’s continued on all these years.”
It was also revealed at D23 that Nine Inch Nails, the industrial rock and electronica band founded by Trent Reznor and joined in 2016 by frequent collaborator Atticus Ross, are scoring the film. Reznor and Ross have won Oscars for their scores for 2010’s “The Social Network” and 2020’s “Soul.” They also won Grammys for their soundtracks to “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” and “Soul.” Most recently, they scored Luca Guadagnino’s hit tennis film “Challengers.”
We’re not the biggest fans of Tron ’round these parts, but the trailer does look very intriguing. So we might have to check it out.

Jonathan Majors may no longer be King The Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the man is looking to make a comeback after domestic assault charges derailed his promising career something crazy.
Hoping to get his film career (and reputation) back on track, Briarcliff Entertainment released the first trailer for Major’s first comeback film Magazine Dreams, which stars the embattled actor as bodybuilder Killian Maddox who dreams of becoming the next Mr. Olympia and being the face of the body building community. Seemingly set in the ’80s or ’90s, Maddox’s obsession with body perfection leads him down the dangerous road of steroids, which leads to roid rage, violence and possible suicidal tendencies.
Still, Maddox tries to ground himself and is even open to an interracial relationship with a white woman. That probably won’t end well though as the trailer features Maddox dealing with racism and racial profiling from police officers.
Magazine Dreams was a hit at the Sundance Film Festival back a few years ago and according to Variety, multiple studios wanted in on the film, but things went left once allegations of domestic abuse became public and it never came to be.
Variety reports:
While “Magazine Dreams” was met with buzz after its debut at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, sparking a bidding war that led the film to find a home at Searchlight Pictures for a reported mid-seven figures, the distributor dropped the film in January 2024 after Majors was accused of domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.
Majors was arrested in March 2023 in Manhattan, which then led to him being charged with several counts of assault and aggravated harassment against Jabbari. After going to trial in New York, he was found guilty of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault. Jabbari also sued Majors for assault and defamation, but the suit was settled in November 2024.
They must feel that it’s safe now to place some bets on Jonathan Majors in 2025.
Check out the trailer to Magazine Dreams below, and let us know if you’ll be checking it out when it hits theaters on March 21 in the comments section.

With the surprising success of Netflix’s Cobra Kai series, The Karate Kid is finding new life in a new generation and is now returning to the big screen as it first did back in 1984.
Looking to capitalize off the hype of Cobra Kai, Sony Pictures just dropped their first trailer to their upcoming Karate Kid: Legends starring Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan who starred alongside Jaden Smith in the 2010 remake of the classic film. Linking up two generations of Karate Kid characters, the film centers around Daniel LaRusso (Macchio) and Mr. Han (Chan) taking a new student under their wing (Ben Wang) and showing him the ropes in the world of martial arts.
Looking more like a Street Fighter film than anything, it seems like the tournaments and competitions will be taking place on rooftops and underground garages as LaRusso and Chan also get into some fisticuffs along the way.
Real talk, this joint looks entertaining as hell. We lowkey hope that Jaden Smith pops out with a jump kick at some point cause that’ll really set the audience on fire. Just sayin.’

While we await word on a third installment to Marvel’s Black Panther, director Ryan Coogler has been keeping himself busy with a new project that delves into the supernatural and takes place during the 1930s Jim Crow era (talk about a double whammy).
On Tuesday, September 24, Warner Bros. released the first trailer to Coogler’s upcoming film Sinners, and if you were a fan of HBO’s Lovecraft Country, this film might just be up your alley. Starring Michael B. Jordan twice (he plays his own twin brother), the film centers around Jordan as he returns to his home after traveling the world and seeing men die “in every way possible” only to learn that “demons” now haunt his hometown.
Getting the strap in preparation for a showdown of Biblical proportions, Jordan and the people of his community must now fight for survival as the evil hunts down the people of his town and does God knows what with them.
Even without much plot details or demons to be seen, the trailer for Sinners definitely promises a ghoulish good time for lovers of the horror genre. We can’t wait.
Check out the trailer for Sinners below, and let us know if you’ll be checking for it when it hits theaters in March of 2025.

It’s going to be a few months before Marvel fans get their first look at the highly anticipated debut of Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World. But until then Marvel isn’t wasting any time hyping up their next big-time crossover movie which will soon follow, Thunderbolts.
Source: Marvel / Marvel
Earlier today (Sep. 23) Marvel Studios released their first trailer for the upcoming mash-up film of former Marvel villains turned antiheroes and though plot details are still unknown, the trailer seems to promise an action-packed, buddy-ish film. Returning to the forefront of the MCU will be the likes of The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), the new, depressed Black Widow Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), the Red Guardian (David Harbour) and even bootleg Captain America a.k.a U.S. Agent John Walker (Wyatt Russell) amongst a few others.
In the trailer, we find that some of these characters were lured into a death trap of sorts with the intentions of taking one another out, but once they realize it was a set-up, the Marvel misfits decide to team together to get to the bottom of who wants them dead. Ultimately they end up face-to-face with Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus aka Elaine from Seinfeld) who seems to have a plan for them all as she’s been running a shady part of the government since her first appearance in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series.

Though we don’t know much else about what this band of Marvel antiheroes are set to do, rumors have it that Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk will play some kind of role in the forthcoming movie as he is a member of the squad in the comic book series.
Could Marvel Studios have another hit on their hands with Thunderbolts or will this team meet the same fate as the already forgotten Eternals?
Check out the trailer to Thunderbolts below and let us know if you’ll be checking for this come May of 2025.
