Jonathan Majors can breathe a sigh of relief after learning he won’t be facing jail time.
Unsurprisingly, former MCU star Jonathan Majors will not go to jail. A New York judge ordered the 34-year-old Creed III star to complete a yearlong counseling program for assaulting his ex-girlfriend, dance Grace Jabbari.
Majors was facing up to a year behind bars after his assault conviction by a Manhattan jury in December.
If he does violate the terms of his probation, he faces a year in prison.
Per AP News:
In court Monday, Judge Michael Gaffey sentenced Majors to conditional discharge after noting that both sides in the case agreed the charges did not warrant jail time, given the actor was a first time offender with no prior criminal record.
He said Majors must complete a 52-week, in-person batterer’s intervention program in Los Angeles, where the actor lives. He also has to continue with the mental health therapy his lawyers say he’s been participating in. Majors faces a year in jail if found in violation of the terms, which also included a no contact order with his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
Jonathan Majors Did Not Say Anything In Court Following His Sentencing
Majors and his new boo, Meagan Good, were on hand for the sentencing, where he declined to address the court and left without speaking to reports AP News reports.
While Majors was quiet, his lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, spoke on his behalf, claiming that her client did not want to say anything that Jabbari could use against him in her civil suit.
Chaudhry says Majors is “committed to growing as a person” and will complete his court-mandated programs “with an open heart.”
He’s lost his whole career,” Chaudhry said in court. “This has been the most challenging year of his life.
Grace Jabbari Accuses Jonathan Majors of Not Being Sorry
Jabbari wasn’t silent; while holding back tears, she accused the Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania star of not being sorry and not acknowledging his guilt in the matter.
“He’s not sorry. He has not accepted responsibility,” Jabbari said. “He will do this again, and he will hurt other women, adding that “He believes he is above the law.”
Jabbari said Majors had made her believe the two were in a loving relationship, but, in reality, he isolated her from the rest of the world and cut her off from family and friends.
“I was so emotionally dependent on him,” she said. “I became a different person around him — small, scared and vulnerable.”
Jonathan Majors’ acting career is currently in limbo, so we shall see if Hollywood will welcome him back with open arms following his conviction and sentencing.

Jonathan Majors’ assault trial is finally underway. The opening arguments were full of damning allegations about the Creed III star, if accurate, that is also providing fodder for jokes on X, formerly Twitter.
Bible in hand, his rumored wife Meagan Good by his side, Jonathan Majors is currently fighting to save what’s left of his name in a lower Manhattan court as his attorney, Priya Chaudhry, tried to paint her client as a victim.
Chaudhry claims that Majors’ ex, Grace Jabbari, only accused the Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania star of domestic violence and harassment because he ended their relationship and alleged racism was behind his March 25 arrest.
But that’s not what has social media in an uproar. It’s what Assistant District Attorney Michael Perez is accusing Majors of doing to his ex.
According to Business Insider, Perez accused Majors, 34, of showing a “cruel and manipulative pattern of psychological abuse” towards his white British ex.
Majors allegedly also “demanded total compliance” from Jabbari and hilariously wanted her to act like civil rights activist and author Coretta Scott King or Former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama by “making sacrifices for him.”
Bruh.
Perez also claims that when Majors didn’t get his way, he would go into rages, shouting at Jabbari and throwing objects at her.
X Users Are Hilariously Clowning Jonathan Majors
As you can imagine, X users are frying the actor after hearing Perez’s claims, and rightfully so.
“Yall think Jonathan Majors be telling Megan Good to act like Ruth Bader ?” one X user hilariously wrote.
Another post read, “The fact that I’m 100% certain Jonathan Majors was dressed like a share cropper when he demanded his white woman be more like Michelle & Coretta makes it so much funnier to me.”

LOL.
This trial is expected to last about two weeks, and we imagine more shenanigans will come from it. You can see more reactions in the gallery below.

The criminal trial against Jonathan Majors for alleged assault began with intense opening statements from both legal teams.
On Monday (December 4), opening statements in the trial against actor Jonathan Majors were delivered at New York Criminal Court. Majors has been accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari after being arrested on March 25 after a domestic dispute with Jabbari. Majors was present in the courtroom with family members including his mother and his current partner, actress Meagan Good.

Prosecutor Michael Perez began by detailing the relationship between the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star and Jabbari, disclosing that they had met on the film set in 2021 and were together in “a serious relationship,” even discussing marriage. Perez then detailed the dispute that took place on March 25, which occurred after the couple attended a party in Brooklyn where a text from another woman sparked an argument where Majors allegedly injured Jabbari once they reached their Manhattan apartment.

The prosecution would go on to paint Jonathan Majors as an abuser with Perez stating: “He began to snap at, manipulate and strategically withhold affection from [Jabbari].” “This affected their entire relationship and how she reacted on March 25,” he said. In a recording of a fight that prosecutors plan to play for the jury, it’s alleged that Majors told Jabbari, who is white, that she should be more like Coretta Scott King and Michelle Obama and “to conform to the plan and make sacrifices for him” saying it’s because “I am a great man, a great man.”
Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, contended in her opening statement that the previous relationship had “nothing to do with what happened in the car.” Chaudhry told jurors it was Jabbari who attacked Majors physically first, telling police who arrived at the Manhattan residence the two shared that he assaulted her. In previous interrogations, Majors told the NYPD that he had called them since Jabbari was “suicidal” in her texts.
The defense would state that the allegations were born out of Jabbari’s revenge against Majors. Mr. Majors’ lifetime of hard work was coming to fruition and his career seemed unstoppable until […] he ended his relationship with Jabbari and she made these false allegations,” Chaudhry stated. Jabbari is expected to testify during the two weeks of the trial. Majors, who has pleaded not guilty, faces a year in jail if convicted.

Jonathan Majors will have to wait until next month to begin his anticipated trial on charges of domestic violence, as ordered by the court.
On Thursday (Aug. 3), the Creed III actor appeared before Judge Michael Gaffey in court in Manhattan, New York. The hearing would be brief. “The people are not ready for trial today,” Assistant District Attorney Kelli Gallaway said to the judge. Judge Gaffey remarked, “Time will continue to run against the people.” He then set the date for proceedings to begin Sept. 6.

Majors’ trial was set to begin today before the reassigning of the new date. Judge Gaffey reminded the actor to abide by the order of protection barring him from any sort of contact with the accuser. “Yes, sir,” Majors responded simply while holding a Bible and notebook. He and his defense team, along with his new girlfriend, Harlem actress Meagan Good, (who also accompanied him to his June 20 hearing) would be dismissed afterward.
The actor’s lead defense attorney, Priya Chaudhry, quickly issued a statement afterward. “One hundred and thirty-one days ago, authorities unjustly cuffed Jonathan Majors in his own home, hauling him off to jail based on the word of a woman now hunted by the NYPD,”  the statement began. “For an excruciating four months, Jonathan Majors, the real victim in this shameful ordeal, has had his life, career, and reputation torn apart,” Chaudhry said. “Yet he remains unwavering in his determination to be absolved from this harrowing ordeal.”
Chaudhry also put the blame on the prosecution for the delay of the trial, saying that she had received a two-terabyte hard drive of evidence from their team on Wednesday (Aug. 2). She also claimed that the New York Police Department was poised to arrest the ex-girlfriend accusing Majors the moment she “sets foot back in New York.” Reportedly, the woman currently resides in the United Kingdom.
The news of the trial comes as questions still linger about Majors’ career opportunities going forward.  The 33-year-old actor faces up to a year in prison if convicted of misdemeanor charges of assault and harassment. Disney has released the latest trailer for the second season of its acclaimed Loki series, which will air on Disney Plus this October. Majors will feature prominently in the show as Victor Timely, the ancestor of his Kang The Conqueror character.
