DJ Vlad has another tofu beef on his hands. Hip-Hop’s most hated interviewe and Marlon Wayans had a heated exchange over the actor’s interview price demand.

As reported by Bossip, the media personality has another celebrity on his head. Last week, VladTV released a clip of a new Aries Spears interview. During the sit-down, Vlad revealed that he recently retracted his Marlon Wayans invite after the actor had asked for $40,000 dollars and 30% of the revenue earned from the content. “There’s no one on Earth that will pay you $40,000 for an interview much less 30% on top of that,” Vlad said. “At one point we got on the phone… I had to break it down to him. If you look at your recent interviews… you get around 300,000 views. That’s a few thousand dollars in YouTube revenue.”

As expected, this clip soon went viral and landed on Marlon’s radar. To which the White Chicks star took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and proceeded to slander the media personality. “You mad? You unprofessional my guy. If you don’t like the number keep it moving. You look BAD. You should fall back,” Marlon Wayans responded. “Mad at a Black man stating his number? And now you go public and use your platform to try to drag me. I never in my life dealt with this silly negotiating tactic.”

DJ Vlad continued on with his pettiness and shared more posts antagonizing the comedian. “Not mad at all. I find all this amusing because you really think that you’re worth $40K for an interview,” he retorted. “I said there’s nobody on Earth that will pay you that, and I have yet to be proven wrong. Throwing out a stupid ass number for an interview is unprofessional my guy – because your interviews don’t even make 5% of that on every platform you do. And bringing up race when there was no mention of it throughout all our discussions shows how weak of a man you really are.”

This is not the first time DJ Vlad has been called a culture vulture. The likes of Lil B, Lord Jamar, Tyrese, Slim Thug, and even New York Times bestselling author Morgan Jerkins have called him a culture vulture. You can view Vlad discuss the situation with Aries Spears below.

Jordan Peele has a new psychological thriller on the way starring Marlon Wayans and has revealed its title and expected release date.
The wait for a new movie is over for those who are huge Jordan Peele fans. According to reports, the filmmaker’s Monkeypaw Productions and Universal Pictures announced the title of the new film last week – Him. It’s set to star Marlon Wayans, who plays a legendary quarterback who is taking on the task of training an up-and-coming star athlete, who will be portrayed by Tyriq Withers. Withers’ character will then train at an isolated compound used by Wayans’ character.

The movie also stars Julia Fox (Uncut Gems), Tim Heidecker of the comedy duo Tim & Eric, comedian Jim Jefferies, and rising Hip-Hop stars Guapdad 4000 and Grammy nominee Tierra Whack, who make their feature film debuts. Touted as a psychological horror film covering a “blood-chilling journey into the inner sanctum of fame, power and the pursuit of excellence at any cost,”, Him will be directed by Justin Tipping. The screenplay, which was lauded as one of the best unproduced screenplays in 2022, was written by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie. In addition to Peele, Ian Cooper, Win Rosenfeld, and Jamal M. Watson will produce for Monkeypaw Productions. It is executive produced by David Kern and Monkeypaw’s Kate Oh.
Him’s release date in movie theaters will be Sept. 19, 2025. It was originally set for Christmas Day of this year but had to be taken off of the release calendar due to the months-long labor strikes in Hollywood. At that point, it had been called GOAT. This will be Peele’s fourth film after the award-winning Get Out, Us, and Nope. His production company recently released the Dev Patel-starred action thriller Monkey Man and is working on a horror game with renowned video game creator Hideo Kojima, which was announced last December at The Game Awards.

The father of Marlon Wayans and his other renowned celebrity siblings, Howell Wayans, passed away on March 30. He was 86 years old.
The comedian confirmed the news in a social media post on Saturday (April 1). Wayans shared a photo of himself and his father on Instagram, writing: “Thank you Pop for being an example of a Man to all your boys. I pray all young black boys can grow up to be a Man like you.” He continued: “Kiss Ma for me. Tell her her babies miss her. I got two angels. I feel y’all lifting me already.” Elvira Alethia, the family’s matriarch passed away at the age of 81 back in 2020.

According to reporting from TMZ, Marlon Wayans received word of his father’s passing after performing the first of two shows he was scheduled to do at the Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank, California. He’d go on to do the second set, imbuing the emotions of the moment into his act before letting the present crowd learn the news.

Howell Wayans raised his 10 children – Keenen Ivory, Damon, Shawn, Dwayne, Kim, Nadia, Elvira, Diedra and Devonne Chaunté Wayans in addition to Marlon – in New York City. He was well-regarded as a hard worker who guided them with discipline but always supported their creative dreams. Beginning with Keenan Ivory Wayans, the siblings have made their mark on the entertainment world through major television and film projects like In Living Color, The Wayans Bros. and White Chicks, continuing to do so today. He is also survived by many grandchildren.
Veteran actor and friend of the family Omar Epps also paid tribute to the senior Wayans through a post on his Instagram account, noting him as a second father figure. “Thank you for taking me under your wing as if I was one of your own. We’re all devastated, but yet somehow, you prepared us for this moment,” he wrote.
