Lil Uzi Vert
Lil Uzi Vert has released their fourth full-length studio album, Eternal Atake 2 (out Nov. 1).
The Philadelphia rapper announced the release of their long-awaited record just one week prior (Oct. 24), sharing a mysterious teaser trailer to promote the album.
“On March 6, 2020, Lil Uzi Vert mysteriously vanished,” the screen reads. “While it was never confirmed what happened that day, the faithful believed it to be the fulfillment of a long-awaited prophecy… Eternal Atake.”

The March 2020 disappearance date refers to the release of Lil Uzi Vert’s second album, Eternal Atake. Much of the record’s artwork and promotion was in reference to the infamous Heaven’s Gate religious group, whose mass suicide made national headlines in 1997. Surviving members of the group initially threatened Lil Uzi Vert with legal action in 2018 over their appropriation of the Heaven’s Gate logo.
The promotion for Eternal Atake 2 once again sees Lil Uzi Vert leaning into Heaven’s Gate’s underlying beliefs of ufology and prophecy fulfillment, with the album trailer featuring the rapper being transported via UFO to another dimension. Upon arrival, their memory is extracted and wiped clean by a group of natives from this unknown planet, who are seemingly possessed with a purple-tinted gleam in their eyes.
Trending on Billboard
Lil Uzi Vert had previously hinted towards retirement after the release of their next album, telling TMZ in December 2023 that following the release of Luv Is Rage 3, they would step away from music to focus on making women’s clothes.
Currently, Luv Is Rage 3 has been given no release date, with Eternal Atake 2 ostensibly arriving in its place. It serves as the follow-up to 2023’s The Pink Tape, which was released in June 2023 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 167,000 total album units sold.
The original Eternal Atake was releasing to streaming services in March 2020 just ahead of the Covid-19 pandemic shutdown. EA sold 288,000 total album units in the first week. The project came in at No. 4 on Billboard‘s Top 20 Rap Albums of 2020 list.

After Lil Uzi Vert disputed being part of the Rolling Loud lineup, they’ve been replaced by not one but two acts – Future and Metro Boomin.
The release of the lineup for Rolling Loud California was announced on Tuesday (November 14), and it featured a slew of top musical artists with Post Malone and Nicki Minaj revealed as headliners of the weekend festival along with Lil Uzi Vert supposedly performing on that Saturday. But shortly after the artwork was launched, the singer and rapper went on social media to dispute that appearance. “I never said I was doing rolling loud. Don’t understand why my name is on here,” they wrote in a post to their Instagram stories showing the flyer.
Festival organizers apparently took note of Lil Uzi Vert’s statement and promptly re-issued a new image of the full festival lineup with two notable changes on Wednesday (November 15). The first was the blurring out of Lil Uzi Vert’s name on the festival artwork in a new post to X, formerly Twitter which simply carried the caption, “OK bet” with the okay sign emoji. The second was the announcement of Future and Metro Boomin’s appearance at the festival. Rolling Loud also sent out another post boosting the duo’s upcoming album which will be released before the festival takes place.
Lil Uzi Vert is currently on tour for their most recent album, Pink Tape. The tour is slated to end on November 22 in the artist’s hometown of Philadelphia. Rolling Loud California will be held at the Hollywood Park Grounds venue in Inglewood, California on March 15 – 17. The festival also features other prominent performances from Rae Sremmurd, Summer Walker, YG & Tyga, and more. Presale tickets for the event were made available to the public on Thursday (November 16) at 10 A.M. PT, with general sales beginning on Friday (November 17) at 10 AM PT. More information can be found on their website.

As uniquely identifiable as he is, Lil Uzi Vert found himself the victim of mistaken identity when police thought they had their guy in a robbery that involved… a puppy.
According to TMZ, the “Just Wanna Rock” rapper found himself a wanted man when a Facebook post courtesy of the Wilkes-Barre Township Police Department named him as a person of interest in a dognapping case in a pet store in Pennsylvania. Problem is, Uzi never kidnapped a puppy in his life (at least not to our knowledge).
TMZ reports:
Cops have since taken down the post with Uzi’s photo and replaced it with a different man with face tatts — who is the actual suspect accused of swiping a pooch from Brookside Pups.
The Uzi version lived on the internet for about 30 minutes — enough time for the FB post to be flooded with comments about the Philly artist.
So why the confusion? Brookside Pups tells TMZ … the guy who allegedly grabbed a puppy and fled Thursday afternoon has Lil Uzi Vert’s face as his profile picture on a social media account, which they sent to cops.
We guess none of the cops on the case are into rap music because anyone would’ve recognized that it was in fact Lil Uzi Vert on the profile picture of the suspect in question. Still, knowing they have egg on their face over the mixup, police are shifting blame to the pet store for providing them with the picture of Lil Uzi Vert. Once they realized that Vert’s face tattoos didn’t match that of their suspect, they took the picture down. The pet store then provided a new picture of the suspect which is hopefully the right picture this time.
The ridiculousness of the situation wasn’t lost on Roc Nation as they told TMZ, “The Wilkes-Barre Township Police Department should be embarrassed and ashamed for disparaging [Uzi’s] character. This grave error could’ve had significant repercussions on Uzi’s career and epitomizes how Black men can be wrongfully charged and arrested by police departments across the country.”
The Wilkes-Barre Township Police Department’s gonna have to hold this “L” because they earned it.
Interestingly enough police say the actual suspected dognapper was last seen making his way to Uzi’s hometown of Philadelphia. Wouldn’t be surprised if some cops on the case still think Uzi’s their man. Just sayin.’
What do y’all think of this ridiculous mixup? Let us know in the comments section below.

Lil Uzi Vert has been the talk of Twitter and Hip-Hop sites after his girlfriend threw her smartphone at him. It seems the Philly rapper will allegedly be chucking his album at us on Friday.
Spotted on Consequence of Sound, Lil Uzi Vert is gearing up to drop their highly anticipated album, Pink Tape, on June 30th, according to a press release from the rapper.
Via Instagram, they dropped a trailer for the anime-inspired movie. In it, we see the Uzi Vert getting his $24 million pink diamond ripped from their head by an ancient samurai—a play on Thanos removing the mind stone from Vision in Avengers: Infinity Ward.
Animated Uzi Vert is transported to real-world Japan and takes a page out of Akira’s book featuring the rapper riding a cyberpunk-esque bike in the Gibson Hazard-directed trailer for the film they say will release alongside the album.
The short clip gives us a taste of what to expect from the Pink Tape sonically with some pop-punk instrumentals and trap-heavy beats, and it ends with Lil Uzi Vert besting the stone samurai with a blow to the heart.
Pre-orders for Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape are now live, but we still have no tracklist for the project. According to Consequence of Sound, we can definitely expect the infectious dance single, Just Wanna Rock, to be on the album.
Pink Tape is their latest project since the 2022 Soundcloud EP Red & White and 2020’s Eternal Atake.

CLOSE
JT and Lil Uzi Vert are one of Hip-Hop’s most popular couples and have had their share of ups and downs throughout their romance. Things seemingly got heated over the weekend after footage surfaced of JT tossing her phone at Uzi, and some online are speculating that it’s over Ice Spice.
JT and Lil Uzi Vert were in attendance at the 2023 BET Awards in Los Angeles, Calif. on Sunday (July 25), another star-studded affair for the long-running network and brand. While the affair was largely drama free, that wasn’t the case among those sitting front row.
Some online are contending that JT’s anger toward Uzi was over a line in a new song that they performed at the BET Awards where Ice Spice’s name is mentioned in the closing bar but it doesn’t seem like he was flirting with the Bronx rapper.
Footage that has surfaced showed JT calling Lil Uzi Vert a “groupie” and “b*tch” before tossing the phone at them and having to be restrained by others in their row. Another video showed Uzi seemingly pleading with their partner but the City Girls star wasn’t having any of it.
The footage, now since viral, hasn’t been addressed by the couple nor Ice Spice so far but that hasn’t stopped Twitter from adding their investigative bent to the happenings. What can be confirmed is that JT and Uzi left the venue together shortly after their spat but it was tension in the air.
Check out the reactions below.

Fresh off his energetic performance of “Just Wanna Rock” on The Tonight Show, Lil Uzi Vert told TMZ that he supports the decision of his City Girls rapper girlfriend, JT to start therapy. He added that everyone should “embrace themselves.”
JT shared on Twitter that she is “eager” to start therapy while encouraging her fans to do the same.
Many of her fans congratulated the 30-year-old City Girl rapper on the social media site adding that her public decision could “inspire” others.
Lil Uzi’s support may come from his own journey into wellness. He announced earlier this month that he is sober and that the songs from his newest release “The Pink Tape,” were all born out of his sobriety.
He told TMZ that being sober allowed him to choose better song topics and encouraged other rappers to do the same, saying, “It’ll change your life.”
The couple has had an on-again-off-again relationship since first being romantically linked in 2021. But, earlier this year, she gushed about her admiration for Uzi telling Angie Martinez that she is “lucky” and “fortunate.”
“I can say Uzi is a great man, no matter how the internet tries to paint Uzi,” the Miami native told Angie with a big smile, according to Madame Noire. She added, “I’m so lucky and fortunate to have somebody like him because he’s so inspiring. When I see him in his bag, I’m like ‘I gotta get in my bag.’”

He first visited the tier as a featured act on Migos’ “Bad and Boujee,” and last appeared in the area nearly two years ago, in November 2020, on “Drankin n Smokin,” with Future.

A computer hacker who stole unreleased songs from British pop star Ed Sheeran and American rap artist Lil Uzi Vert has been sentenced to 18 months in prison, U.K. prosecutors said Friday.

Adrian Kwiatkowski, 23, of Ipswich in southern England, hacked the artists’ cloud-based accounts and sold their songs on the dark web in exchange for cryptocurrency. City of London Police, which investigated the case, said Kwiatkowski made 131,000 pounds ($147,000) on the transactions.
“Kwiatkowski had complete disregard for the musicians’ creativity and hard work producing original songs and the subsequent loss of earnings,” said Joanne Jakymec of the Crown Prosecution Service. “He selfishly stole their music to make money for himself.”
In August, Kwiatkowski pleaded guilty to a variety of charges, including 14 copyright offenses and three counts of computer misuse. He was sentenced Friday (Oct. 21) in Ipswich Crown Court.
City of London Police worked with authorities in the United States to investigate the case after the management companies of several musicians reported that an individual, known online as Spirdark, had gained access to their clients’ cloud-based accounts and was selling their content.
The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office launched an investigation in 2019, and linked the email address used for Spirdark’s cryptocurrency account to Kwiatkowski. It then identified the IP address of the device used to hack one of the accounts as his home address.
After further investigation, Kwiatkowski was arrested by the City of London Police’s Intellectual Property Crime Unit in September 2019.
“Cybercrime knows no borders, and this individual executed a complex scheme to steal unreleased music in order to line his own pockets,” Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L Bragg Jr. said.
