The cause of Lil Keedâs sudden death has been revealed. Coroners say he passed from a blood cell disorder.
As spotted on Raw Report the Atlanta, Georgia nativeâs cause of death has been identified by medical professionals. On Tuesday, Jan. 3 the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner/Coronerâs Office reported that the man born Raqhid Jevon Render died from Eosinophilia. According to Mayo Clinic âEosinophilia (e-o-sin-o-FILL-e-uh) is a higher than normal level of eosinophils. Eosinophils are a type of disease-fighting white blood cell. This condition most often indicates a parasitic infection, an allergic reaction or cancer.â
The report seems to be a direct follow up to his mother, Michelle Woods, recently dispelling the rumors he passed from drug abuse. â7 months after learning about the passing of my son, Iâve received his official cause of death from the doctors. In grieving my sonâs death, myself and the rest of the family were caused a lot of pain by the lies and rumors spread on the blogs and the internet with false information about Raqhidâs passing,â Woods wrote. âToday, weâve confirmed that Raqhid died from natural causes with no drugs or alcohol found in his system.â

Hours later, the budding rapper died.
âHe had been sick in bed for 4 days with complaints of stomach and back pains,â the coronerâs report reads, per People. âHis brother noted that the decedentâs eyes were jaundiced and drove him to the hospital in a private vehicle.â

Keed signed to Young Thugâs YSL, an imprint of 300 Entertainment, in 2018. The rapper released two projects on the label, including his song âNameless,â which peaked at No. 42 on Billboardâs R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. Keedâs critically acclaimed 2019 debut album Long Live Mexico peaked at No. 26 on the Billboard 200. He was also featured on Young Thugâs Slime Language 2 album, which topped the Billboard 200 in 2021.
May 2022 was a tragic month for the YSL crew, with the arrests of Young Thug and rapper Gunna coming just days before Keedâs death. Keed himself was not among those named in the indictment.
