Offset turned 31 years old on Wednesday (Dec. 14), and Cardi B went all out to celebrate her favorite birthday boy. The “WAP” rapper posted a touching tribute to her husband of five years on Instagram, and shared lots of videos of how the couple commemorated his day by hitting the beach and partying in Jamaica.
“Happy birthday my love,” Cardi wrote, posting a reel of sweet photos of the Migos rapper. “I pray silently and I pray loudly on this post that God bless you & protect you.”

“Thank you for your love to me,” she added. “I love your 4ever & beyond.”

On Instagram Stories, the “I Like It” artist treated followers to an inside glimpse at her Jamaican vacation with Offset, with whom she shares 4-year-old daughter Kulture and 1-year-old son Wave. The two kayaked across beautiful blue waters, hung out beachside and checked out a rocky waterfall.

“Happy birthday sexy maaaaan,” Cardi said while filming her husband on the beach. “It’s your birthday!”

Cardi also shared videos of their couple’s bedroom suite, which she’d had decked out with trails of rose petals and red balloons as a surprise for the “Stir Fry” rapper. “My baby daddy, you deserve it!” she told Offset, filming his reaction to the room.

And finally, the pair closed out the occasion by partying the night away with friends and lots of dancing. Their evening didn’t end until around 6 a.m. — at least, that’s the time stamp on one of Cardi’s final posts on her Story, a video of the sun rising on their waterside vacation home.

The festivities come just a month and a half after Takeoff, Offset’s cousin and former Migos bandmate, was shot and killed Nov. 1 at a bowling alley in the Houston area. Offset was present alongside Quavo, the third member of the Migos trio and Takeoff’s uncle, at Takeoff’s celebration of life ceremony on Nov. 11.

Offset also shared a tribute to his late cousin in a Nov. 15 Instagram post, writing, “I wish I could hug you one last time.”

Cardi has also spoken out about how difficult things have been since the tragedy occurred, saying in a since-deleted Twitter voice note that she feels “so hopeless trying to make my husband happy.”

“Trying to make him crack a smile, f—in’ seeing him randomly cry,” she said at the time. “See him trying to distract his mind completely, f–kin’ schedules been changing, trying to keep up with work after everything that he’s been going through these past couple of weeks. We not in the mood to be f–kin’ playin’ around with y’all.”

Former Ellen DeGeneres Show DJ Stephen “tWitch” Boss has died at 40. The news of the death of the positivity spreading turntablist who first rose to fame on MTV’s The Wade Robson Project in 2003 before earning the runner-up spot on So You Think You Can Dance in 2008 and joining DeGeneres’ daytime show as guest DJ in 2014 was shared by his wife, Allison Holker Boss.

In an exclusive statement sent to People, Boss said, “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”

No cause of death had been announced.

“To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt,” continued Boss, 34. “I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory. We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children. Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”

Over the weekend, the couple posted an Instagram video in which they joyfully danced in unison to Alicia Keys’ “December Back 2 June,” just a day after Boss posted a sweet ninth anniversary message to his wife featuring pictures from their nuptials.

After joining DeGeneres’ show as the house DJ, he became a permanent part of the crew and was promoted to co-executive producer in 2020.

The Nat King Cole Trio recorded “The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas to You)” back in 1946 and turned it into a Christmas classic, one year after it was written by Bob Well and Mel Torme. The song is also commonly subtitled as “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire,” due to its opening lyrics.

Multiple arrangements of the song have been recorded throughout the years, but the most notable version has to be Cole’s, which includes the warm sounds of a small string section. The lyrics are filled with warm Christmas feelings and sweet holiday imagery, including: “Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe/ Help to make the season bright…Yuletide carols being sung by a choir/ And folks dressed up like Eskimos.”

The popular Christmas song has been covered by many artists, including Christina Aguilera for her 2000 album, My Kind of Christmas, and Michael Bublé on his Let it Snow EP.
Check out the full lyrics below to get in the Christmas spirit.

And so I’m offering this simple phraseTo kids from one to ninety-twoAlthough it’s been said many times, many waysMerry Christmas to you

Follow along with the lyrics to Andy William’ 1963 holiday hit.

The opening electric guitar riff followed by the steady beat of jingle bells marks the opening of Bobby Helms’ classic hit “Jingle Bell Rock.” The 1957 track makes reference to other similar-sounding songs, including “Rock Around the Clock” and the original “Jingle Bells.”

Helms’ tune made it to the Billboard Hot 100 in 2016, where it peaked at No. 29. It then peaked at No. 3 in 2020. The song, which has a country swing to it, has been covered by many artists in Nashville throughout the years, including George Strait, Rascal Flatts, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton.

Check out the lyrics and stream the song below to get into the jingle bell rock groove.

Crystal-clear tequila meets hi-fidelity sound.

Tequila Avión celebrated their collaboration with producer WondaGurl with an immersive, invite-only listening experience for a select group of media and tastemakers in Miami on Wednesday (Dec. 7).

“It just sounded interesting. Like nothing I’d ever heard before,” the 25-year-old producer, who has worked with the likes of Travis Scott, Drake, Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Rihanna and the late Pop Smoke, told Billboard of teaming with the tequila company during the Avión Listening Experience 2.0 at Miami’s Soundlux Audio space.

Soundlux Audio granted Avión and guests the first official use of their new $110,000 Dali Kore speakers for the event. Guests experienced how sound can affect taste (“Science actually proves this,” WondaGurl explained to the crowd) while listening to the Canadian producer’s remixed version of original sound recordings of the Avión tequila-making process — from the agave fields to the Avión distillery — as Avión’s Carlos Andrés Ramirez led the group through a sound-inspired tasting of Avión Reserva 44 and the brand’s-new Avión Cristalino tequila.

“The original audio was seven to 10 years of the tequila-making experience turned into a 10-minute audio and highlighted elements of the tequila-making process,” said WondaGurl.

Miami Heat’s DJ Irie, Marcello “Cool” Valenzano of Cool & Dre, producer Marcella Araica and performance artist Aileen Quintana were among the special guests. Avión held a similar event in Brooklyn over the summer.

So how does sound affect taste? Sweet and salty flavor notes, for example, are amplified by high-pitch sounds, while flavors such as minerals and herbs are amplified by low-pitch sounds, WondaGirl noted during the event.

The multiplatinum-selling producer, who revealed that she’s working on “an electronic and instrumental project,” signed a publishing deal with Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Publishing and Sony/ATV Music Publishing through her Wonderchild imprint in 2020. Her debut solo album is set for release early next year.

Avión and WondaGurl also announced an exclusive opportunity for aspiring musicians to enter for a chance to win an at-home studio set from Perfect Circuit filled with nearly $3,000 worth of gear chosen by the producer.

Courtesy of Tequila Avión

The set includes a synthesizer, studio monitor, closed-back studio headphones, vocal microphone, audio interface, keyboard controller, cables, and a $250 gift card.

“I feel like [these] are just standard classic speakers for people who are just starting out and interface is really what brings those things together, so you can plug it into your computer,” she said of curating the collection. “The speakers and then midi-controller, I feel like most producers are going to need a midi-controller [keyboard] to use.”

In addition to the at-home studio, one lucky winner will get a virtual, one-on-one mentoring session with WondaGurl.

To enter for a chance to win, submit up to 300 words to AvionListeningExperience.com about why you deserve one of the at-home studio bundles curated by WondaGurl who will choose the final recipients. The contest ends on January 22, 2023.

Cardi B hopped on Instagram Live recently to offer her followers some strongly worded advice about plastic surgery.

“In August I got surgery and I removed 95% of my [biopolymers] … if you don’t know what it is, it’s a– shots. It was a really crazy process,” the rapper said, according to People. “All I’m going to say is that if you’re young — if you’re 19, 20, 21 — and sometimes you’re too skinny, and you be like, ‘Oh my god, I don’t have enough fat to put in my a–,’ so you result to a– shots, DON’T!” (The rapper previously opened up to GQ about receiving illegal injections in a basement apartment in Queens for $800.)

“When it comes to BBLs [Brazilian butt lifts], if y’all want advice from me, before you get your BBL done, you have to make sure your blood levels are all right,” she continued. “If a doctor says your blood levels are too low or you have diabetes or whatever, don’t do it.”

Cardi told her 144 million followers that she was addressing the procedure because “a lot of people thought as soon as I gave birth [to baby Wave in Sept. 2021], I got my body done.”

This week, the superstar also used her social media to clap back at a troll who questioned a video of her performing in a backyard at Art Basel, revealing that she was paid a cool million dollars for a 35-minute set at a private party.
