Country music star Miranda Lambert and Latin pop star Enrique Iglesias have teamed up for the romantic collaboration “Space in My Heart.”
The duet, which Iglesias wrote years ago with Carlos Paucar, Simon Wilcox, Ross Golan and Nolan Lambroza, is a straightforward love song that includes the lines, “If you ever go/ I will never change/ There’s a space in my heart and it’s just your shape.”
Lambert and Iglesias previously teased the collaboration via social media on Feb. 12, with Lambert saying, “Texas meets Spain! Can’t wait for y’all to hear this one.”

Iglesias has notched several Billboard Hot 100 hits, including the No. 1 smashes “Bailamos” (1999) and “Be With You” (2000) as well as three other top five hits: “Hero” in 2001 (No. 3), “I Like It” with Pitbull in 2010 (No. 4) and “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)” with Ludacris and DJ Frank E in 2011 (No. 4). He was named one of Billboard‘s Top-Grossing Latin Artists of All Time. Additionally, he’s earned eight chart-topping albums on Billboard‘s Top Latin Albums, including 1997’s Vivir (15 weeks at the chart pinnacle) and 2014’s Sex and Love (16 weeks).

Meanwhile, Lambert has launched seven of her albums to the top of Billboard‘s Top Country Albums chart and is the artist with the most Academy of Country Music Awards wins in history, with nearly 40 trophies, including the ACM’s triple crown honor.
Their collaboration adds to a lengthy list of country/Latin collaborations over the decades. Iglesias’ father, Latin music star Julio Iglesias, earned a two-week No. 1 Hot Country Songs hit with the 1984 Willie Nelson duet “To All the Girls I’ve Loved Before”; Iglesias and Nelson won a CMA Award that year for vocal duo of the year. Nelson and Iglesias also earned a top 10 country hit in 1988 with “Spanish Eyes.”
Country trio Midland teamed with Jay De La Cueva for a Spanish-language version of their hit “Drinkin’ Problem.” Oklahoma native Carrie Underwood performed with Latin artist David Bisbal for the bilingual song “Tears of Gold,” while Kane Brown teamed with Becky G for a Spanish remix of “Lost in the Middle of Nowhere,” and more recently with Carin León for “The One (Pero No Como Yo).” Meanwhile, Cuban-American MC and rapper Pitbull has collaborated with country music artists including Zac Brown, Blake Shelton and, most recently, Dolly Parton.

It’s official: Camilo and Evaluna are expecting their second child. With a beautiful poem penned by Camilo for his wife, the couple announced that their daughter Índigo will become a big sister to Amaranto, the planned name for their second offspring.
“Camilo wrote this poem for me before we knew we were expecting you,” Evaluna wrote in a post on Instagram, which was shared by both artists on Wednesday (Feb. 21). “On a flight from Madrid to Miami, we started imagining you with a name and a few weeks later we knew you were already with us.”
“We’re thrilled to meet you. Your big sister already wants to take care of you. Amaranto, we’re honored to be your parents. Thank God for the privilege of being your home,” added the Venezuelan singer and actress. She concluded by saying, “The Echeverri-Reglero are officially FOUR.”
Trending on Billboard
Accompanying the post is a video, in which Camilo narrates his poem as they both construct a small tent with a door and windows.
“Evaluna, fertile, a mother never ready, a walker discovered in the journey, a new daughter of calmness and killer of haste,” begins the Colombian singer-songwriter. “Owner of all Sundays, a caller of downpours and heavy rains, a tester of bathtubs and a volcanic diver. A baker by accident, excellent for intentional lack of trade. A springtime crossed. Violator of calendars, anticipator of Christmases, and mother of Amaranto and Indigo.”
At the end, they write in it “Refuge of Índigo and Amaranto,” which seems to be the title of the poem, and they appear inside with their firstborn.
Camilo and Evaluna married in February 2020 after five years together, and became parents in April 2022. Índigo was born months after they announced the pregnancy in the music video of a song named after their daughter.

Rumors of a second pregnancy circulated on social media in recent weeks, with some fans noticing that Evaluna had not been seen in any photo or video with her full body or in tight clothing.
The couple did not disclose when Amaranto is expected. Billboard Español h asreached for further details.

A quarrel over alleged musical differences led to the murder of emerging corrido bélicos artist Chuy Montana two weeks ago, after he performed “songs … that did not please one of his aggressors” at a private party in a Tijuana motel, according to the Baja California State Attorney General’s Office.
The head of the agency, María Elena Andrade Ramírez, said during a Tuesday (Feb. 20) press conference that the reason for the murder of the singer, and another person who was his driver, was not because of his performance of narcocorridos — drug ballads that are banned in the border city — but because he continued singing songs that his assailants did not like.
“Apparently it was sentimental issues that influenced one of the aggressors,” Andrade Ramirez said at the press conference, which the prosecutor’s office provided a recording of to Billboard Español. “We are still in further investigation, but yes they were songs, let’s say, that did not please one of the aggressors.”
Trending on Billboard
“Maybe the situation was exacerbated by the state of drunkenness and drug use in which they were, because it is not common for them to have taken his life for that reason,” added the official after pointing out that they had all been consuming alcohol and drugs earlier that day.
According to initial investigations, in one of the searches at the Dubai Motel, located in the municipality of Rosarito, an ID of the singer and a gunshot wound were found.
The prosecutor said that after the argument, Montana was taken out of the motel in a vehicle, according to a video in possession of the Baja California District Attorney’s Office. She said that the recording also shows that the victim tried to get out of the vehicle, but he remained handcuffed and guarded by his assailants.
Montana’s body was found on Feb. 7 on the side of the Playas de Rosarito-Tijuana highway in the northern Mexican state of Baja California, with signs of violence and his hands handcuffed, according to an information card issued that day by the Baja California District Attorney’s Office.
Authorities ruled out any indication that organized crime was behind the murder of Montana — whose real name was Jesús Cárdenas — and his companion. The prosecutor said that so far, one person has been arrested and investigations are underway.
Tijuana is considered the fifth most violent city in Mexico, according to the 2022 ranking of the 50 most violent cities in the world compiled by the Consejo Ciudadano para la Seguridad Pública y la Justicia Penal organization.

Montana, known for songs such as “Porte de Scarface” and “Qué Bendición,” was part of the roster of Street Mob Records, the label headed by Jesús Ortiz Paz (JOP) of Fuerza Regida.
Prince Royce and Gabito Ballesteros’ “Cosas De La Peda” finds the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart as their first partnership advances from the runner-up slot to lead the Feb. 24-dated list. That translates into a 24th No. 1 for Royce, while Ballesteros scores his first champ on first try.
“Cosas De La Peda,” Mexican slang for “drunken times,” lifts 2-1 on the tropical radio ranking with by a 37% gain in audience impressions, to 6.2 million earned in the U.S. during the Feb. 9-15 tracking week, according to Luminate. The track trades places with Marc Anthony’s “Punta Cana” which drops 1-2 with an 11% dip in impressions, to 5.2 million.

Prior to its release, “Cosas De La Peda” received its fair share of promotion. The Bronx-born singer premiered the song live for the first time, with Ballesteros, during Calibash festival at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles on Jan. 12. Plus, a performance on ABC’s Good Morning America followed on Jan. 17.

With “Peda,” Royce collects his 24th No. 1 on Tropical Airplay, continuing with the third-most leaders since the chart’s inception in 1994. Only two soloists stand ahead him: Marc Anthony with 36 No. 1s and Victor Manuelle with 29. Here’s an updated look at the artists with the most No. 1 hits on the almost three-decade-old ranking:
36, Marc Anthony29, Victor Manuelle24, Prince Royce18, Romeo Santos14, Elvis Crespo14, Gilberto Santa Rosa13, Jerry Rivera12, Juan Luis Guerra 44011, India
Singer-songwriter Ballesteros, who seasoned “Peda” with his corridos tumbados flair, lands a first No. 1 on the Tropical Airplay —and on any airplay ranking— thanks to the bachata tumbada. The Mexican producer first landed a No. 1 on a Billboard chart as a producer of the the two-week champ “Lady Gaga,” with Peso Pluma and Junior H (last September).
Elsewhere, “Peda” flies 26-11 on the overall Latin Airplay tally. It bests Ballesteros’ previous No. 37 entry with “La Pelinegra,” with La Adictiva, last October.
“De La Peda” is one of 23 songs from Royce’s latest seventh full-length album, Llamada Perdida, released Feb. 16 through Sony Music Latin; it has not entered any Billboard charts yet. The song was produced by Edgar Barrera and Luis Miguel Gómez Castaño, better known as Casta.

Below, check out some of the best highlights from the rehearsals on Tuesday and Wednesday (Feb. 21).
Ana Barbara’s Career Celebration
Ahead of receiving the 2024 Premio Lo Nuestro a la Trayectoria award, Ana Bárbara revealed how she prepared for the exciting medley of hits she will perform Thursday night. “We sat down as a team and asked ourselves what we wanted to share in terms of emotions, in terms of rhythm and songs,” she notes. “After thinking about it a lot, they chose one from each era that was written by different composers […] and came up with that cocktail of songs that will take us to different dimensions.”
Gente de Zona announce new album
Though Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom are releasing solo music, the Cuban artists known as the duo Gente de Zona arrived together to rehearsals promoting their upcoming project and to assure that they are not separating. In fact, an album is in the works, filled with positive and feel-good music.
“It’s the type of content that made Gente de Zona an international duo,” Malcom notes. “I think there are many problems in the world. Social media has caused well-being but also many problems. It’s about enjoying the moment, enjoying life and time, which is what you can’t buy.”
Delgado adds: “This album is a lot of fun with the Gente de Zona stamp. We are very happy and we hope you all enjoy it.” The duo has yet to reveal the release date but promise that their special performance on Thursday will be a preview of what fans can expect.
Wisin Enters the Música Mexicana Realm
Backstage, Wisin revealed that his new single dropping this week is called “Un Shot” alongside Gabito Ballesteros — further proving that urban and Mexican music are the perfect match. “For us urban artists, it was a dream to enter Mexico and receive the support of all Mexicans,” the reggaeton star says. “More than a fusion with Gabito Ballestero and a rich song, musically speaking, it is a tribute to the people of Mexico and a way to enter their world and let them know that we respect what they do, respect their music.” The music video, Wisin notes, was filmed in Puerto Rico.
Banda MS’ Biggest Tour Secret
Banda MS has paused their tour to attend the 2024 Premio Lo Nuestro, where they are five-time nominees and will also have a special performance. After their Premios commitment, they will hit the road again, which had us wondering: What’s their biggest secret to having so much energy on tour?
“It’s the discipline, the desire to keep growing, the desire to go ahead, our family, our fans. All of that, and more, injects you with a lot of adrenaline, a lot of energy,” vocalist Alan Ramírez explains.
“Banda music has something very peculiar…most of the bands were born on the street,” vocalist Oswaldo “Walo” Carreón adds. “We are the bands that go to the restaurants, the cantinas, trying to get clients. I’ve personally performed 20 hours in a day… and all that suits you is giving resistance. So the three-hour show seems like a breeze.”
Los Ilegales celebrate 30 years
Los Ilegales are ready to inject viewers on Thursday with the ultimate throwback performance — and what better timing than on the year of their 30th anniversary? “It’s a gift from God who allows us to live our 30th anniversary,” lead singer Vladimir Dotel tells Billboard. “It’s also the discipline, the love for our career that allows us to be with you. If it weren’t for that, we wouldn’t be here. We’ve been awarded for our unattainable work and that is why we promise to literally rock the stage.” The Dominican group also remembered the first time they attended Premio Lo Nuestro in 1996, where they won new artist of the year.

Fans no longer have to wonder what Lionel Messi listens to before he takes the field. Just in time for his inaugural season with Inter Miami in the MLS, La Pulga has shared a playlist of his favorite tracks. Titled “Messi: The Warm-Up,” the football superstar’s playlist, revealed by Apple Music, includes hits from Bad Bunny, Peso Pluma, Karol G, Bizarrap, Grupo Frontera and more.
“Music has always played a significant role in my life, especially on match days,” Messi shares in the Apple Music playlist description. “Music calms my mind, helping me maintain composure and relaxation.”
Trending on Billboard
The 60-song playlist includes reggaeton hits such as “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, “Ay Vamos” by J Balvin and Karol G’s smash hit “Provenza.” It also reveals Messi’s taste for Mexican music, featuring songs from Carin León, such as “Según Quién” with Maluma, “Tiki Taka Toco” from Fuerza Regida and the 2023 hit “Ella Baila Sola” by Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma.
It’s safe to say La Pulga is a fan of Grupo Frontera, as his playlist includes several of the band’s songs, including “No Se Va,” “un x100to” with Bad Bunny, “Bebe Dame” with Fuerza Regida and “TULUM” with Peso Pluma.
The playlist also features Latin music legends, including Celia Cruz’s “La Vida es un Carnaval” and Selena’s “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom,” as well as a handful of English-language songs such as Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida,” Rihanna’s “Don’t Stop the Music,” U2’s “Vertigo” and Drake’s “First Person Shooter” featuring J. Cole.
Messi also pays tribute to the diversity of Argentinian music, with hits ranging from Bizarrap’s “Music Sessions” featuring Young Miko, Quevedo, Milo J and Peso Pluma. The playlist also includes a bit of Argentine reggae with “Hijo” by Los Cafres, and cumbia with “Ya No Vuelvas” by Ke Personajes, La K’onga and Luck Ra.
“There’s no doubt that what Lionel Messi can do with a ball at his feet is otherworldly. But one thing that makes him just like the rest of us is his love for music, from Latin pop and rock to reggae and cumbia from his native Argentina,” reads the playlist’s description. “This exclusive playlist is inspired by the G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time) when he’s looking to concentrate.”
