The band — AJ McLean, Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson and Howie Dorough — are the first pop group booked to perform at the Sphere, with McLean telling Billboard last week that they are planning “one incredible experience” for the “Into The Millennium” run that Carter promised would giver fans “sensory overload.”

The Live Nation-produced run will find the group performing their entire career-peak 1999 Millennium album in full along with greatest hits and their new single, “Hey,” at the shows that will kick off on July 11. The gigs will continue throughout the rest of the month, with gigs on July 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 24, 26 and 27, followed by shows on August 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10.

Tickets for the new dates will go on sale first through the BSB Fan Club pre-sale beginning Tuesday (Feb. 25) at 9 a.m. PT. Fans who previously signed up for the Artist Pre-Sale can access tickets for the three added dates beginning on Wednesday (Feb. 26) at 9 a.m. PT, followed by a general on-sale kicking off on Friday (Feb. 28) at 9 a.m. PT; click here for details.

BSB will make history as the first pop band to touch down in the futuristic arena that to date has hosted U2, Phish, Dead & Company, the Eagles, EDM act Anyma and, later this spring, Kenny Chesney. “Die hard fans are going to get a great experience, a great nostalgic moment,” McLean told Billboard. “Even just playing the whole Millennium album, there’s some deep cuts in there that we were just discussing the other day,” Dorough added. “[We were] reminiscing about some of the songs like ‘The Perfect Fan’ and ‘No One Else Comes Close to You’ [and ‘Spanish’] Eyes,’ which are songs that the fans probably haven’t heard since the Millennium tour.”

The 25th anniversary celebration of the album that topped the Billboard 200 for 10 weeks and has sold more than 24 million copies to date will coincide with the July 11 release of Millennium 2.0, a two-CD collection featuring a remastered version of the original, along with six demos from the sessions for the album, b-sides from international releases, six live tracks and the previously unheard track “Hey.”

The Backstreet Boys are psyched that they will be the first pop group to take the stage at Las Vegas’ Sphere in July, and when Billboard asked what fans can expect from the shows, AJ McLean promised, “one incredible experience,” while Nick Carter added “sensory overload.”

In addition to performing their 1999 career-peak Millennium album in full along with some greatest hits and new single, “Hey,” McLean teased that there might be “some new adaptations of things,” requesting that attendees pack “something all white” for the 12-show run that will bring McLean, Carter, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson and Howie Dorough to the high-tech venue in July.

The Boys, who are now men in their mid-to-late 40s and early 50s, said they’ll be bringing their friends, and families, along for the ride, with McLean reminiscing about going from the original in-the-round configuration for the first Millennium run to the bump-up to the most state-of-the-art, “sonically overwhelming… visually outstanding” venue on the planet. (Check out the full interview in the video above.)

They’re also psyched to make history as the first pop band to touch down in the futuristic arena that to date has hosted U2, Phish, Dead & Company, the Eagles, EDM act Anyma and, later this spring, Kenny Chesney.

“Die hard fans are going to get a great experience, a great nostalgic moment,” McLean said, with Dorough revealing that they are working on the setlist at the moment. “Even just playing the whole Millennium album, there’s some deep cuts in there that we were just discussing the other day,” Dorough said. “[We were] reminiscing about some of the songs like ‘The Perfect Fan’ and ‘No One Else Comes Close to You’ [and ‘Spanish’] Eyes,’ which are songs that the fans probably haven’t heard since the Millennium tour.”

The 25th anniversary celebration of the album that topped the Billboard 200 for 10 weeks and has sold more than 24 million copies to date coincides with the July 11 release of Millennium 2.0, a two-CD collection featuring a remastered version of the original — including the hits “I Want It That Way” and “The One” — along with six demos from the sessions for the album, as well as b-sides from international releases, six live tracks and the previously unheard track “Hey.”

Richardson said “Hey” was tracked during the session for their 2019 DNA album, and while they all agreed it was a “beautiful song,” it didn’t quite fit that LP’s vibe. Not to worry, though, it will get its live debut on what McLean said will be the “massive” stage set-up that will include the men pulling off some of their most iconic choreography, and maybe some new moves.

As for who they would like to see at the Sphere once they’re done burning up the stage, Richardson said for sure Coldplay while Carter joked that he’s like to see, well, the Backstreet Boys.

The BSB will touch down at the Sphere on July 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27, as well as August 1, 2 and 3. The artist presale for the shows is open now, with the general on-sale slated to launch on Friday (Feb. 21) at 9 a.m. PT here.

“It’s been an incredible journey performing at the International Theater,” said Manilow in a statement about signing on the dotted line to continue his long run at the resort’s International Theater. “David Siegel and the Westgate team have been like family to me, and I am deeply grateful to have the opportunity to call Westgate home for the rest of my career.”

Earlier this year, Manilow set a new Sin City record when he passed Elvis Presley’s run of 636 performances at the venue.

He followed with his “Manilow Paris Las Vegas” at the Paris Hotel & Casino at Las Vegas in March 2010, which ran through Dec. 11, 2012.

Adele got an emotional surprise from a fellow icon at her Las Vegas residency.
The British superstar, 36, was brought to tears after spotting Celine Dion, 56, in the crowd during her long-running show at Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Saturday (Oct. 26).

In a fan-captured video posted to X (formerly Twitter), Adele is seen performing “When We Were Young” as she encounters Dion, who was seated in a side box at the 4,100-seat venue. The moment turns emotional as Adele starts to cry while embracing Dion. The two superstars share a few words before the legendary Canadian singer holds Adele’s face and kisses her hand. Adele then waves to nearby fans before returning to the stage.

Dion — who opened the Colosseum with her first residency in 2003 — appeared to be seated beside her sons, Nelson and Eddy Angélil, who offered comfort to their mother following the touching encounter.

This isn’t the first time Adele and Dion have crossed paths in Sin City. In 2018, Adele attended Celine’s second residency at the same venue. In an Instagram post at the time, the “My Heart Will Go On” artist expressed her appreciation after meeting Adele backstage at the performance.

“Wasn’t able to do all my shows, but was thrilled that Adele came to one of them… I love her so much!!” Dion wrote in a since-deleted post.

Adele also shared her excitement after meeting Dion. “Queen Celine! What a show, an absolute highlight of my life, thank you so much for the attention to your crowd and insane humor. Happy New Year lady x,” the “Hello” hitmaker wrote on Instagram.

Her Weekends With Adele runs through late November. Earlier this year, Adele stated that she will take a lengthy break from music after the residency concludes in the fall.

“I just need a rest. I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now,” she told a Munich crowd in September. “I want to live my life that I’ve been building and I will miss you terribly.”
