Clip Of Joe Budden & Co-Host Ish Mock Meat Beef Surfaces

Joe Budden has a penchant for bringing up controversial topics on his eponymously-named podcast, often to the point he and his co-hosts have passionate debates as a result. One such discussion from an earlier exclusive Patreon episode surfaced online, prompting onlookers to make more of the mock meat beef than there is.

In a previous episode of the DSP version of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden and co-hosts Ish and Ice discussed if it is appropriate to have a connection with the ex-girlfriend of your friend. In that earlier broadcast, Budden explicitly said that the exes of his friends are off-limits.

However, Ish raised a moment where Budden apparently met with a woman Ish previously dated. While Ish says in the Patreon episode that he actually can’t police the actions of his ex-girlfriend, Budden saw fit to challenge his longtime friend and co-host on that point. Budden brought up a moment where Ish asked him about a conversation Budden had with an ex and it became a classic shouting match between the pair.

This isn’t the first time the pair has clashed on the podcast and probably won’t be the last. Both men have strong opinions and are unafraid to debate the other. What some who commented on the video in question failed to mention in many of their reactions is that the two smoothed things over at the end. Also, the clip that has social media buzzing is months old as well.

Ebro Puts Joe Budden On Blast Over Summer Jam Remarks

Joe Budden’s recent comments about being at Summer Jam apparently rubbed some the wrong way, prompting Ebro Darden to call him out online.

The rapper and media personality spoke about being at the recent HOT97 Summer Jam concert at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York on the latest episode of The Joe Budden Podcast. Attending as a guest, Budden spoke about meeting an “older lady” as part of the event staff at the arena.

While making good-natured jokes about the vibe, he recalls: “But anyway, I get there, the girl says, ‘Are you a seat filler?’” He continued: “So I said, ‘No, I am not a seat filler.’ And she said, ‘Alright, who are you with?’ And I said, ‘Me.’ And then she said, ‘No, what I’m saying is what organization are you with?’ And then I said, ‘Ma’am, I don’t think you understand what I’m saying to you. I’m the organization. Please direct me to my f*cking tickets.’”

Ebro Darden found out about Budden’s comments through a fan’s now-deleted tweet, responding: “U think a concert that only makes $$ on sponsors would pay people to be in seats? Ya’ll a wild bunch,” which was accompanied by crying face emojis. The former program director for HOT97 then alerted the team overseeing Summer Jam – which includes Funkmaster Flex and TT Torrez – about the Slaughterhouse MC’s remarks via Twitter and shared screenshots of their responses.

Budden was perplexed in his response, asking, “what’s this about?” Ebro replied, “Tweets. Play along. Say something controversial.” In a separate tweet, he responded to someone who told him that the furor was in response to his podcast comments. “That lady didn’t even work for Hot… non story here,” he replied, taking the time to clarify that his “seat filler” reference wasn’t meant as a shot towards the radio network.

It looks like NORE doesn’t want any podcast smoke. The Drink Champs co-host and rapper denies making fun of Cam’ron’s show on the Joe Budden Podcast.

As spotted on Complex, the Queens, New York native was almost caught in the crossfire between the Diplomats rapper and Joey Jumpoff. Last week Killa took to social media and posted a clip of the Drink Champs host talking rather greasy with Joe Budden about other rappers launching shows.

“You know what’s crazy? I’m looking at these rappers trying shows now—you know, rappers from our era—and they are so failing,” he said during the interview. “They doing sports shows, they doing comedy shows. They talkin’ about, ‘Yo, I’m up. I’m just doing this for fun.’ No, you are not!”

While N.O.R.E. did not put a name on the slander it was widely perceived that Cam was one of the “failed” rappers the two were poking fun at. Since then Killa’s sports show has gained incredible momentum and a cult following online. In an Instagram caption Cam’ron revealed that he is still cool with N.O. but referred to Joe Budden as a “crackhead”. This caused a rather spicy back and forth between Cam and Joe but it seems N.O.R.E. wants no parts of it.

“Me and you are friends from the 90s. You have my real life phone number. You hung out with me for days before you did Drink Champs just to make sure I was the same yalla that you know” N.O.R.E. wrote. “If you thought at any time I was going at you, Why would you go to the internet 1st?”

He also went on to say that he was not talking about Cam’ron in that “failed rappers” clip. “That footage from Joe Budden show is old footage. Ya show wasn’t created yet!!! I never saw a single footage of ya sh*t so there’s no way I could’ve been talking bout u !!!”

But under further investigation N.O.R.E.’s timing is way off. His appearance on the Joe Budden Podcast episode 600 was released in early February 2023 but Cam’ron had been promoting It Is What It Is on his Instagram since December of 2022. Cam has yet to respond to N.O.R.E.

A list of the top media figures in the Hip-Hop world was released, with Joe Budden being named number one—leading some on social media to applaud and others to question how that was possible.
The power ranking of the top media personalities in Hip-Hop was released by Complex Media on Monday (April 3), with twenty-five notable figures on podcasting and radio being recognized. The host of The Joe Budden Podcast nabbed the top spot, edging out his former Everyday Struggle co-host DJ Akademiks.  Budden’s pick as number one by his former platform surprised some but also delighted many other fans, given how he and Complex parted ways under stormy conditions after he spoke out about being undervalued by the media group. And there were also those who openly wondered how such a list could be created without bias and with some questionable placements (i.e. Sway Calloway coming in at 23rd on the 25-person list).

Before unveiling the list, the staff detailed their criteria for putting the list together which had them focus on individuals rather than shows or platforms. In an apparent nod to those who might complain about the placement of certain figures above others especially if veteran personalities were lower on the list, the staff stated: “We engineered the list to be a ranking of the right now—which means that current relevance and influence supersedes legacy and longevity.” They also addressed potential questions about including those who have been hit with allegations of abuse and misconduct by stating, “We ranked the personalities strictly based on their content, not their character.”

Responses to the Hip-Hop Media Power Ranking were predictably all over the place, as some praised Joe Budden for attaining the top position. Others trashed the list for various reasons. We highlighted some more notable reactions in the gallery.

Nigerian journalist ImeWrites weighed in with perspective. “I am disappointed at the ranking for Sway. However, Sway is an actual journalist, while this list is for media personalities,” they wrote.

This Twitter user offered a sarcastic jab at Budden’s placement at the top, while voicing that it was “egregious” that Sway came in at 23rd on the list.

A viral video clip summed up this Twitter user’s response to Budden getting the top spot.

“This list don’t make no sense. @RealSway is not number one with the impact that he has on hip-hop media?”, they asked.

“I must be missing something. The word power is definitely being thrown around nowadays for no rhyme or reason,” Preston Taylor wrote.

This user offered up praise for Budden’s ranking and his reformatting of his current podcast for success.

Joshua called out the list for placing Narduwar towards the bottom. “Nardwuar should not be so low this is actual blasphemous writing y’all should be ashamed,” they wrote.

Whenever Joe Budden enters the chat, you just know things can go left, rapidly. Case in point, the rapper turned podcaster criticized actor Michael B. Jordan for his now infamous encounter with Lore’l of The Morning Hustle, but his defense of a Black woman didn’t get the all-positive reaction he may have been expecting.

Budden felt that Jordan overstepped when he called out Lore’l for allegedly saying he was corny back when they were both attending the Chad Science Academy in Newark, N.J. Recently on The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden said it was Jordan who was actually corny.

“Dawg, you doing that to a girl is some corny-ni**a sh*t,” said Budden during his rant. “You being Michael B. Jordan, today, allegedly sexiest man alive, all of these blockbuster movies, during your highlight week, You’ve probably never been more visible than you are right this second. And that’s what you do to her? And if I bring back those White girl rumors, then it’s gon’ sound even crazier. Why you talking to our sisters like that on the red carpet when you don’t talk to White bitches like that?”

Now if it was most anyone else saying this, the comments would probably have been taken at face value while fostering healthy debate. However, to say that Budden’s history with women, including allegations of domestic violence, is problematic would be an understatement. And that irony is why Budden’s defense of Lore’l isn’t getting a kumbaya type of response.

Since their encounter on Feb. 23 on the Creed III red carpet, Lore’l has shared receipts that she wasn’t the one who specifically called Jordan corny. But social media doesn’t really focus on fact checks or on the whole truth.

What social media does live for is the slander. And Joe Budden has made himself a target even if he did take up a righteous cause. If you don’t believe us, peep some of the reactions in the gallery. Everyone is catching fire.

The certified lover boy, Drake, has blood on his hands. That is what defense lawyers in the XXXTentacion murder trial are claiming.

Drake allegedly played a vital role in the 2018 murder of Hip-Hop star XXXTentaction, the defense team for the three men on trial for the death of the “SAD!” crafter claim.

According to the lawyers, an alleged beef between the late rapper and Drizzy possibly led to XXXTentacion’s 2018 murder, but authorities never pursued that angle.

The trial of Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome, and Dedrick Williams is finally underway, with opening statements being presented. All three men are charged with first-degree murder and are looking at life in prison for XXXTentacion’s murder.

A fourth member, Robert Allen, who was with the three other men, has already pled guilty to second-degree murder last year and will take the stand against Boatwright, Newsome, and Williams.

In December, the three defendant’s attorneys named Joe Budden, Drake, and The Migos, plus others as key witnesses, the Miami Herald reports. The defense also claims the three men are a victim of the lies being spread by Allen.

Broward Circuit Judge Michael Usan isn’t buying what the defense is selling, and wonders what relationship the celebs named have with the murder. The prosecution called the defense’s tactics a silly stunt.

The Prosecutor Thinks The Drake Link Is A Joke

“It is apparent from the deliberate, late disclosure of the defendant’s witnesses and comments made between the parties that [the] defendant intended to ‘surprise’ the state and create a trial by ambush,” prosecutor Pascale Achille said to the judge.

She also said the defense provided no addresses or contact information for the celebs so that a subpoena could be issued.

Dedrick Williams’ attorney, Mauricio Padilla, pushed back at Achille’s claims of his tactics being nothing more than a joke.

“They are high-profile people,” Padilla told Judge Usan. “And it’s not easy for me to subpoena. I don’t have numbers, but it doesn’t mean I won’t be able to. Trying to subpoena Drake is not easy — you need a drone.”

Drake’s name being brought up during the trial by lawyers due to an eyebrow-raising post on XXXTentaction’s Instagram page where he wrote, “If anyone tries to kill me it was @champagnepapi.”

The post was eventually deleted, and the late rapper said his account was hacked. XXXTentacion also threw shots at Drake and his mother on Twitter.

On the heels of Joe Budden speaking on Megan Thee Stallion, Vivica A. Fox is chiming in to check the podcast host!

As The Shade Room previously reported, Joe recently threw shade at the “Pressurelicious” rapper during an episode of The Joe Budden Podcast.

While discussing the ongoing Megan Thee Stallion assault trial, Joe notably declared that he’s “seen [Megan] do horrible things to some really great people” in the industry.

“I stand in my dislike…Personally, I’ve seen this woman do horrible things to some really great people that I have longstanding relationships with in this industry, so I’m biased. You can’t just treat my friends and people I f**k with and people I’ve seen in this game for 15 years a certain way.”

In spite of this statement, though, Joe clarified that he didn’t know Megan personally. He also added that he was speaking on her business decisions and acknowledged that the rapper “could be amazing.”

“I’m talking about her and what she’s chosen to do professionally. I wanna be clear, I don’t know her as a person. She could be amazing. But there’s a lot to deal with when you sign, and a lot happens fast.”

Vivica A. Fox Tells Joe To ‘Button It Up’ & Keep It Cute!

In response to Joe’s comments, Vivica A. Fox shared quite a scathing message!

The Set It Off actress addressed the matter during an episode of Cocktails with Queens on FOX Soul. As the co-hosts discussed Joe’s commentary, Vivica directed a message at Joe and outright told him to “sit [his] b***h a** down.”

“Joe Budden, if you don’t button it up and sit yo’ b***h a** down [and stop] hating on that girl.”

She went on accuse him of being salty about how successful many female rappers are in this day and age.

“Y’all mad cause girls right now is ruling rap. It’s just driving y’all crazy that the sistas is just ruling and taking numbers and can tell y’all ’bout yourself and look sexy widdit. It’s a new day!”

Briefly going back to the subject of the trial, Vivica told Joe to watch himself while speaking on Megan at this time.

“But if you wanted some attention, to be honest with you, I think that’s the wrong one to try and get it from. Because it’s really coming out. Facts are finally coming out after so many years of this trial being long awaited that she was, in fact, shot.”

Vivica wrapped up her statements by saying, “Get used to it, brotha. It’s a new day. Girls are ruling. Sorry, Joe Budden!”

Joe Budden Seems Unbothered By Vivica’s Commentary

While Joe hasn’t explicitly addressed Vivica, he made a simple tweet shortly thereafter that seemed to brush the commentary off.

Supporters also took the opportunity to call Vivica out and hype up Joe’s next podcast episode.
