50 Cent is not to play with when it comes to his likeness. He is suing a New York City jeweler for using his name to sell chains.

As spotted on TMZ, the “I Get Money” rapper is coming for his coin. TraxNYC recently posted a video of a pendant that is similar to the crucifix that 50 Cent wears. “50 Cent is wearing this interesting cross and guess what 50 Cent? We made it and we made it for our customers,” he said. “We just jocked your style, I know you watch my videos and now I’m watching your s**t and jocking your s**t just like you jocked my s**t.” Maksud Agadjani went on to blatantly admit he ripped off the idea for the pendant from the G-Unit boss. “I thought it was a nice cross 50, and I thought it was nice enough for me to make.”

The post soon landed on 50 Cent’s radar prompting the MC to leave a comment on the original post. “This was a bad idea, you will regret this I promise,” to which the @traxnyc account directly responded, “yo don’t you got better things to worry about.” It seems their lack of urgency further aggravated the Queens, N.Y., native. Later that day, 50 Cent posted about it on his Instagram. “Every now and then someone does something like this.😟I don’t know why 🤷but I do know 🤨I’m a need that by Monday.” the caption read.

It appears Agadjani is trying to backtrack with a post reminding 50 Cent that crucifixes are a symbol of forgiveness. A representative for the rapper confirmed with TMZ that he is taking legal action against the shop. “Mr. Jackson takes the unauthorized use of his name and likeness for commercial purposes seriously.”
Maksud Agadjani played a jeweler in Uncut Gems. You can see TraxNYC’s original video below.

Jacob The Jeweler might’ve been the go to ice man for celebrities from the mid 90’s to the early 2000’s, but these days that title belongs to one Avi Davidov whose diamond studded work has made it’s way to the American Museum of Natural History.

According to the Gothamist, Davidov and his close friend, Ben Shimon have spent the last decade making a name for themselves through their business, Pristine Jewelers, and with a clientele that includes the likes of 2 Chainz, Fat Joe, and Cardi B, the diamond duo have become a force to be reckoned with.

With their names being mentioned amongst the stars whenever someone needs some exclusive diamond pendants and pieces, Avi Davidov and Ben Shimon have become the highly sought after plugs for your favorite music artists and movie stars. And now, even the American Museum of Natural History has even taken notice as their “Ice Cold: An Exhibition of Hip Hop Jewelry” exhibit features quite a few pieces designed by Pristine Jewelers.
The Gothamist reports:
It features dozens of pieces worn by hip-hop artists, including Slick Rick, Ghostface Killah, Nicki Minaj, and A$AP Rocky. It also includes two pieces designed by Pristine Jewelers: Nas’ Queensbridge pendant and Fat Joe’s Terror Squad chain.
Part of Pristine’s appeal is that its founders can match the swagger of some of their world-famous clients – jetsetting to Portugal, dressing head-to-toe in Louis Vuitton or Dior. As with many luxury brands, Pristine is selling a lifestyle as much as a product.
“It’s the way we travel, the kind of shoes and sneakers we wear,” said Davidov, who once traveled to Russia on a day’s notice for a client.
Not entirely new to the game, Davidov’s parents worked in the jewelry industry for more than 30 years operating a mom and pop jewelry spot on Fordham Road in the Bronx. Having migrated here from Uzbekistan before he was even born, his parents showed Davidov how to hustle as he worked there on most days after getting out of school, and now decades later the grind is paying off historically.
“As we were growing older, my sister and I, we saw their hardships, so we decided to help them out,” said Davidov. “And while we were helping them out, we learned more of the trade, more of the business. And I liked it.”
But it wasn’t until the year 2000 when iconic Reggaeton artist, Don Omar went to him to have some custom iced out pieces and watches made. Impressed with the work, word began to spread about Davidov’s skills and the rest if history.

Another win happened a few years later, when Davidov was tapped to upgrade Nas’ Queensbridge pendant, which became a nod to the ‘Illmatic’ rapper’s success, and is featured in the “Ice Cold” exhibition.
Gotta love the American dream when it manifests (not that MAGA sh*t).

Hip-Hop is at the American Museum Of Natural History. Ice Cold: An Exhibition of Hip-Hop Jewelry opened at the famed New York City museum on Thursday, May 9 and it is must attend for any proper Rap fans.

The special exhibition features an impressive collection of custom-made jewelry from fashionable current and old-school Hip-Hop stars including Nicki Minaj, A$AP Rocky, Slick Rick and Jay-Z. There are also cherished pieces from artists the culture has lost including the Notorious B.I.G., Biz Markie and Young Dolph.
Source: Alvaro Keding / AMNH

The exhibit is a continuance of the celebration of Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary and its aim is to highlight Hip-Hop’s cultural influence and its indelible impact on fashion and the globe in general. The pieces, which include watches, chains, rings and more, is being held in the Melissa and Keith Meister Gallery in the Museum’s Allison and Roberto Mignone Halls of Gems and Minerals.
“Bringing the Ice Cold exhibit to the American Museum of Natural History is a testament to the cultural significance of this art form and culture,” said Ice Cold guest curator Vikki Tobak in a statement. “It’s time to celebrate the artists, jewelers, craftsmen, and everyday people who contributed to the storied history of hip-hop jewelry. This exhibit not only pays homage to hip-hop’s roots with pieces from Biz Markie and Jam Master Jay for example but also highlights its enduring impact on style and society with pieces from contemporary artists like Tyler, the Creator, A$AP Rocky, and FERG.”
Ice Cold follows Hip-Hop jewelry’s evolution over its 50 years, from gold rope chains to iced-out necklaces and watches. Besides Tobak, who authored Ice Cold: A Hip-Hop Jewelry History, the guest curators are Kevin “Coach K” Lee of Quality Control Music, and Karam Gill, the filmmaker behind the 2021 doc series ICE COLD.
And for any haters saying the jewels were just money poorly spent, Roxanne Shante dropped some knowledge at a preview of the exhibit. “If you wanted to think of it in a negative way, it made people think we took all our money and we spent it on jewelry,” said Shante, whose Juice Crew ring is part of the exhibit. “In all reality, we didn’t. Because some of those pieces were acquired after we purchased homes. You didn’t want to have that type of jewelry, and didn’t have a safe place to go put it in.”

Other advisors involved in putting the exhibit together include familiar names like Slick Rick (who is a senior advisor, naturally),  Lenny S. of Roc Nation and jewelry designer Alex Moss.

Kendra Scott x LoveShackFancy Gold Statement Earrings

Bring a dainty touch to your ears with these gold double bow earrings. Each pair is topped with jewels and two shades to choose from: pink or a pearly white. In the center of the bows are crystals for some added shimmer.

Hollywood has been a longtime fan of Kendra Scott, including Taylor Swift, who has paired the Lee Gold Drop Earrings ($70) with some of her best outfits with the brand’s accessories. Other musicians who have sported the brand include Selena Gomez, who opted for double-hooped gold earrings ($180) as well as Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Camila Cabello and Hailee Steinfeld.

Gomez has also embraced the coquette trend, and was spotted in a black dress with a bow neckline. Even Lana Del Rey showed off the delicate style when she was the face of SKIMS’ Valentine’s Day campaign.

And for those wondering what the coquette aesthetic is, it’s comprised of flirty and feminine shapes usually including bows, lace and pastel colors.

Similar to the “Cardinal” singer’s Boy Smells collaboration, Etsy’s jewelry collection was designed in partnership with the Grammy winner and Emilia Ceramics (a superfan and Etsy seller) to provide an interactive layer to her album through bringing to life songs and references to the folksy album that you can wear with your Western apparel or to the singer’s tour (which you can still score tickets to through Ticketmaster, StubHub, Vivid Seats and Seat Geek).

There’s even a shoppable mood board featuring clothing and accessories that embody the vibes of the album as a whole.

Take the country star with you in the form of this “Kacey” charm that was created to look like the musician. It comes hand painted with details reminiscent of the outfit Musgraves wears in her album photos.

The “Golden Hour” singer was excited to launch the shop as she felt the jewelry collection unlocked her own nostalgia.

“I’ve been a charm collector for a long time, adding charms to my own bracelet to mark special milestones or memories,” she said in a press statement. “There’s something magical about every little charm telling its own unique tale, and when worn together, weaving this deeply personal story.”

If you can’t get enough merch, Amazon also has a selection of apparel from the artist’s official store you can stock up on below.

Scott Storch hasn’t been in the news of late save for making an appearance during the early days of VERZUZ and producing tracks here and there over the past few years. The hitmaking keyboardist was hit with a lawsuit after reportedly not paying a $65,000 bill to a California jeweler.
Scott Storch, 50, was slapped with a lawsuit from Peter Marco of Extraordinary Jewels in Beverly Hills, according to a report from TMZ. Marco says in the filing documents that the monies owed to him by Storch date back to January 2020. Storch bought a diamond-studded platinum ring valued at $61,000.

At one point, Storch was maintaining monthly installment payments but Marco shared in his documents that Storch last paid in 2021 with a bill of $65,5000. Marco’s legal team gave Storch’s side a pair of letters demanding payment with the looming threat of a lawsuit. When the letters did not garner a response from Storch, Marco’s team filed the lawsuit.
According to the outlet, Scott Storch has not responded publicly to the lawsuit.
