Big Hit, the father of prolific producer and rapper Hit-Boy, was released from prison in May of last year and promptly dropped his debut album helmed by his son. According to a post on Instagram, it appears that Big Hit is back behind bars but Hit-Boy says that his father recorded hundreds of songs in his brief time out.
By way of a video clip of Big Hit speaking on a jail phone through glass, Hit-Boy shared the news with his fans regarding his father’s current legal predicament.
From IG:
people used to ask me what was i on dropping so much music and moving around with my pops so much, in the back of my mind the paranoia of him going back was always there and here we are.. we don’t know what the future holds but Big Hit sends his love to all his supporters. He recorded over 700 songs when he was out so we got more music otw.
Before his May 2023 release, Big served nine years in prison. Before then, Big served almost two years before releasing a slate of singles in 2014 ahead of the aforementioned nine-year bid. Big also had a busy in 2024, dropping two projects, Black & Whites with Hit-Boy and The Alchemist on production, and Paisley Dreams, a collaborative project with The Game.
It isn’t known when Hit-Boy intends to release the vaulted music from his father.

And just like that, the Magic is gone.
For the past few years Nas and Hit-Boy have been blessing Hip-Hop fans with some amazing projects in both the Kings Disease series and Magic installations. But now it seems like their partnership is coming to an end as Nas has announced that their next album, Magic 3, will be their last. That’s the bad news, the great news is that their next album will be releasing on Nas’ birthday, Thursday (Sept. 14), at 9 p.m., and we can’t wait.
Taking to Instagram to announce the news, Nas posted a blurred out picture of himself and in the caption wrote: “I want to thank everyone for taking this ride with @hitboy & I. It’s been nothing short of Magical! The Album Drops On My Birthday. THURSDAY 9•14 at 9PM. Forever Grateful, Enjoy!! Nasir Jones.”
With the album dropping on Nas’ 50th birthday, we’re lowkey expecting, well, a magical album. Their previous projects have been quite stellar, and we wouldn’t expect anything less from their swan song on such a momentous occasion.
Little is known about the upcoming album. Y’all know we’ll be tuning in as soon as it hits streaming platforms Sept. 14. Hopefully it’ll have a surprise collaboration or two (Jay-Z?) but even if it doesn’t, we’re sure it’ll be something to behold.
Are y’all excited/sad about Magic 3 dropping soon but also being the last album Hit-Boy produces for Nas? Sound off in the comments section below.

Hit-Boy is an artist with many talents and has provided heat for well over a decade to a who’s who list of rappers and singers during his still ongoing career. However, Hit-Boy turned heads after sharing via social media that he once provided a beat for a pornographic movie scene featuring the legendary Pinky aka PinkyXXX.
On Tuesday (June 20), Hit-Boy, 36, was in a sharing mood and revealed a tidbit of his history few knew about.
“the part of my journey i never told no one. my cousin phashon RIP [a dove and praying emojis]used to direct p*rn when i was younger. he used to buy beats from me for the score to his films. he bought this beat from me for a pinky scene when i was 18. i was tryn make dr dre type beats,” Hit-Boy shared.
We want to show you the video clip in question but we don’t want to get flagged so click here to see what the producer and rapper was referring to in the tweet.
In the clip, Pinky, who goes by her actual name Sarah Mirabelli these days, is seen in the clip doing her signature booty clap. Those who know, know. Do your Googles to find the other stuff.
Pinky is currently on a fitness journey and operates a pair of Instagram pages where she occasionally shares details of her day. She also operates a popular OnlyFans account and does occasional club hosting dates.
It appears that her time in front of the camera, at least in her former role, is also over. However, she does work as a director in the adult film world and features some of the top talents in that space on her site.

Benny The Butcher proved that his street tales and aggressive bars are right at home over polished production just as they are over hard drums and dusty loops, as proven on Burden of Proof. The Buffalo star will once again recreate that magic alongside Hit-Boy after he announced the upcoming Everybody Can’t Go album on social media.
Benny The Butcher shared an image of himself on the red carpet at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards looking sharp as expected. The Black Soprano Family honcho didn’t give a ton of details but it’s clear that fans need to get prepared for the anticipated collaboration.

Sometimes the experience of the journey is a better feeling than reaching the destination. You won’t ever kno unless u make it there…but remember ‘EVERYBODY CAN’T GO’ The Album produced by @hitboy…Loading
Benny The Bucher and Hit-Boy linked in 2020 for the acclaimed Burden of Proof project and it was a welcome departure from the darker production of Daringer, Beat Butcha, and The Alchemist. Flexing his signature confidence and songwriting ability, Benny shined over the lush beats of Hit-Boy in an unexpected fashion.
We can only hope that the pair will improve on the solid formula of three years ago.
