Instagram official! Billie Eilish took to social media on Tuesday (Nov. 1) to share her first photo as a couple with rumored love Jesse Rutherford amid her Halloween celebrations.
The pop star tucked a snapshot with the lead singer of The Neighborhood at the end of a spooky slideshow captioned “life is craaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy…happy halloween” with a clown emoji followed by a jack-o-lantern and happy face surrounded by hearts.
In the snap, Eilish is dressed as a baby with her blonde hair framing her face in ringlets, while Rutherford transformed himself into an elderly man, possibly making reference to the pair’s 11-year age gap. (Eilish is 20, Rutherford is 31.)
In the comments, Eilish’s fans weren’t quite sure how to feel about her posting the photo of the couple, let alone the choice of costumes. “Honestly yikes on the last photo,” one wrote, with another commenting, “i know y’all see dat last pic.”
Yet another wrote, “SO WE POSTING JESSE NOW??” with a concerned emoji face.
Rutherford — who also appears in another video in the carousel dressed as a clown — wasn’t the only famous face to pop up in Eilish’s post. She also spent part of her spooky season hanging out with Dylan Minnette of Wallows, who’s dressed in a simple pumpkin costume in a separate snap.
On Nov. 8, Eilish will take part in the 2022 #iVoted Festival, with the Election Day webcast also featuring performances by Run the Jewels, CNCO, Rise Against, The Revivalists, OK Go, Lake Street Dive and more than 400 other artists

Never change, James Hetfield. This Halloween, the Metallica frontman paid tribute to Stranger Things by dressing up as fan-favorite character Eddie Munson, whose performance of “Master of Puppets” in a season four episode sparked a renaissance for the band’s song earlier this year.
Hetfield debuted his 1980s-inspired outfit in an Instagram photo posted to Metallica’s official account, just a couple hours after Halloween ended. In the photo, the singer-guitarist does one of Eddie’s signature poses — two rock n’ roll hand-horns signs held to the top of his head, tongue sticking out — while dressed in a denim jacket, shaggy hair and a recreation of the “Hellfire Club” T-shirts worn by his group’s Dungeons & Dragons players in Stranger Things.
“Eddie Munson says Happy Halloween!” read the post’s caption.
Played by Game of Thrones actor Joseph Quinn, Eddie Munson captured the hearts of millions of Stranger Things fans when the character debuted this summer in the Netflix sci-fi series’ fourth chapter. One of his most beloved scenes came in the season’s finale, when Eddie whipped out his electric guitar and performed an epic cover of Metallica’s 1986 track “Master of Puppets” in an alternate dimension known on the show as the Upside Down, earning his long-awaited hero moment when the concert successfully distracted evil creatures from harming his friends.
After the episode premiered on Netflix in July, Metallica took to Instagram to praise Quinn and the show’s creators, The Duffer Brothers. “We were all stoked to see the final result and when we did we were totally blown away,” wrote the band, also comprised of Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo. “It’s so extremely well done.”
Following the song’s use in the show, “Master of Puppets” appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time, 36 years after the song was originally released. It reached a peak at No. 35 and also experienced a surge on streaming services, with daily on-demand U.S. audio streams growing nearly 400% in a matter of days.

Harry Styles fans have got chills, and they’re multiplying, ’cause for his Monday night (Oct. 31) Harryween concert in Los Angeles, the 28-year-old pop star dressed up as Danny Zuko from Grease and performed a heart-stopping cover of “Hopelessly Devoted to You.”
Taking the stage at the Kia Forum, where he’s currently stationed until Nov. 15 for a 15-night residency, Styles sang tracks from his May-released album Harry’s House while dressed in black jeans, a leather jacket and a studded tank top with the word “Harryween” emblazoned on the back in glittery red lettering. He even had his hair styled into the slick, dark coif sported by John Travolta in the iconic 1978 film, while some of his band members dressed up as the Pink Ladies.
Then, it came time for the “As It Was” singer to perform a cover of one of the musical’s famous songs. But instead of “Greased Lightnin’” or “Sandy,” Styles instead chose a ballad performed by Sandy Olsson.
Belting out “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” sung by Olivia Newton-John — who passed away in August — the Grammy winner had his crowd swaying sentimentally to the beat and cheering him on during the song’s most intense moments.
“But now there’s nowhere to hide since you pushed my love aside/ I’m out of my head, hopelessly devoted to you,” he riffed, walking back and forth onstage past his drummer, who was dressed in Sandy’s black cat suit from Grease‘s end scene.
Fans online were ecstatic over Styles’ Halloween costume — “I’M HYPERVENTILATING,” wrote one — but so were those in the concert crowd while the show was still happening. TikTok star Chris Olsen, for example, was in the audience, holding up a thirsty sign that simply read “DADDY?”
The Don’t Worry Darling star noticed the sign, and had the perfect response. Pointing directly at Olsen, he answered the sign’s question with a simple “Yes?”
“I fear that there may be a communication breakdown from this distance …,” Styles added. “But just know: Yes?”

She’s got a princess face, a killer body, samurai mind. Nicki Minaj showed off her Disney princess fantasy in a new social media post on Monday (Oct. 31).
For Halloween, the rapper decided to dress up as a high-fashion Cinderella… or Chunderella, according to her fairy tale rewrite of a caption. “And as she heard the whispers…Chunderella snickered,” she wrote. “The ugly/evil step sisters had EVERY RIGHT to bicker (through their blisters!) After all, deep down inside…they knew…they’d never fit the glass slippers… The END.”
In the slideshow, Minaj poses in a blond wig, tiara and an architectural take on Cinderella’s classic blue gown. However, the Harajuku Barbie proved once she turned around that her version of the princess is quite the “Super Freaky Girl,” complete with two rather NSFW cutouts carved out of the backside of the dress.
Earlier this month, Nicki linked up with NBA YoungBoy on their new collaboration “I Admit,” which is featured on the latter’s brand-new album Ma, I Got a Family.
Meanwhile, she’s also been bumping heads with the Recording Academy over “Super Freaky Girl” being moved from the rap category into the pop category for voting at the upcoming 2023 Grammy Awards — that is, when she hasn’t been busy feuding with Latto on Twitter over whether her own “Big Energy (Live)” should (or shouldn’t) be facing the same categorization at the awards show.
In other awards news, Minaj recently landed five nods at the MTV EMAs, including best artist, best song and best video (both for “Super Freaky Girl”), best hip-hop and biggest fans.

Olivia Rodrigo went vintage for Halloween this year, opting to dress up as the iconic animated cartoon character, Betty Boop.
Stylists Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo took to Instagram on Monday (Oct. 31) to share the “Good 4 U” singer’s fresh take on the classic costume. In the snap, Rodrigo is seen wearing a red mini dress with a red bow across the chest, complete with a red garter and black boots. Rodrigo’s hair and makeup, done by Clayton Hawkins and Lilly Keys, respectively, features a chic wavy black bob and long lashes, topped off with a sleek red lip, just like Betty Boop herself.
It’s been a big year in style and beauty for Rodrigo, who recently teamed up with Glossier to release her own gift set of her favorite products from the popular makeup brand. In April, she was announced as the company’s first celebrity ambassador.

Rodrigo is working with Glossier on product development, social content and ad campaigns, according to Adage. Glossier is also working with Rodrigo on upcoming new products. “It’s our first-ever celebrity partnership,” Glossier CEO Emily Weiss said in an interview at the time. “Olivia really inspired us to push that forward. It’s a pretty natural extension.”
Excuse moi? Lizzo unveiled her epic Halloween costume as Miss Piggy via social media on Monday (Oct. 31).
“HAPPY HALLOWEEN from this W. A. P.iggy,” she captioned the first of several posts on Instagram, referencing Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion‘s No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit from 2020. In the accompanying video, the singer added her own ad libs over the track in her imitation of The Muppets icon’s unforgettable voice.
For the second photo, Lizzo re-created one of Miss Piggy’s rather scandalous editorial spreads — which was itself a re-creation of a famous photo shoot styled by Polly Mellon for Vogue featuring a nude model and a boa constrictor. “A tribute to my forever icon, MISS PIGGY,” she wrote. “The epitome of grace, style, confidence and a warrior for love. @realmisspiggy i love you.”
The Grammy winner’s skin-baring homage to Miss Piggy isn’t even her only costume this year; in fact, she’s been getting into the Halloween spirit all weekend long. Two days earlier, she painted herself yellow for a Marge Simpson getup that was perfectly on point, from the giant blue bouffant to the neon nails.
While she’s gearing up for the premiere of her HBO documentary Love, Lizzo on Nov. 24, the “About Damn Time” songstress is currently in the middle of The Special Tour with opener Latto. “Tonight is a very special night ’cause we are home, bitch!” she declared on the trek’s hometown show in her native Detroit earlier this month. “The feeling that I have is indescribable…It’s emotional being in the place where you were born. It’s emotional being back where your roots began.”

Cardi B was Simpsons chic this Halloween when she stepped out dressed as the fictional family’s matriarch, Marge Simpson.
In a series of photos posted to Instagram on Monday (Oct. 31), the rapper is seen as a sexier version of the animated character, painted yellow with sky high blue hair, rocking a skin-tight green body suit and red stilettos. See the post here.
In a follow-up photo carousel, Cardi shared her “Mugler inspired” version of Marge, in which she’s seen in the same yellow paint and blue hair, this time wearing a Mugler gown with a cutout on the butt.

However, Cardi B wasn’t the only star who took on the role of Marge Simpson this spooky season. Over the weekend, Lizzo covered her whole body in yellow makeup and slipped on Marge’s signature towering blue hair for an equally perfect look. “I AM HIM — HIMMY NEUTRON — MARGE HIMPSON,” the “Better in Color” singer captioned a series of pics in which she posed as Marge, complete with red heels and a matching strand of pearls accenting a shimmery green dress as she perfected a meme in which Simpson covered her face with her hands.
Countless celebrities showed off their best costumes during the creepiest, crawliest time of the year over the weekend, and we’ve rounded up the best Halloween costumes of 2022. Check out our list here.
Joe Jonas saved his fans money on home and auto insurance when he dressed up as the iconic character “Flo” from the Progressive commercials on Halloween.
The 33-year-old star took to Instagram to share a photo of his costume, rocking Flo’s uniform as well as her characteristic brown hair and red lips. “Go with the Flo,” Jonas captioned the post.

While Joe’s outfit was on point for the spookiest day of the year, another one of the Jonas crew took his costume a step further. The youngest Jonas, Frankie, cooked up the perfect sibling troll when he and girlfriend Anna Olson dressed up as Joe and his ex, Taylor Swift. Swift and Joe briefly dated from summer to fall 2008 before breaking up in what Taylor described as a 27-second phone call.
Frankie posted a pic of the pair recreating a scene from the former couple performing the Swift song “Should Have Said No” from the 2008 concert movie Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience. They even showed off their version of the infamous Jonas Brothers’ “purity rings” with a pair of hands with intricate bling and the message, “Matching Purity rings XOXO.”
Frankie and Anna continued the fun on TikTok, where they posted another video spiked with video game battle noises and the message, “Fighting off the horny celibate teens as joe and taylor from the 3d movie.”

Halloween is officially here, and in the spirit of the spooky holiday, Billboard compiled a list featuring some of the Latin music stars who understood the assignment this year.
The list kicks off with Becky G and her boyfriend Sebastian Lletget, who dressed up as Santanico Pandemonium (Salma Hayek) and Seth Gecko (George Clooney) in the 1996 film From Dusk Till Dawn. The power couple is followed by artists such as Anittam who dressed as Beetlejuice’s wife, and Rauw Alejandro, who dressed up as the blue ranger from the timeless Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, to name a few.
A pereniall costume favorite, both Ivy Queen and Pabllo Vitar dressed up as the late Selena Quintanilla this year — channeling the iconic purple cutout jumpsuit that Selena donned during her concert at the Houston Astrodome in 1995. The Reggaeton Queen even rocked the band-aid and smudged lipstick microphone as Selena did in the concert.
Meanwhile, a wave of artists brought their latest singles to life, such as Karol G, Thalía, and Robi. In the midst of her Strip Love Tour, Karol G dressed up as a sexy Catwoman in all-red leather, in honor of her Maldy-assisted “Gatubela.” Mexican pop star Thalía rocked an all-black leather fit, also to go with her new track “Psycho Bitch.” And rising Puerto Rican act ROBI dressed up as Daddy Yankee just weeks after releasing his version of the latter’s classic “Tu Principe.”
Also on the list are Shakira, Cazzu, Lele Pons, Kimberly Loaiza, Jessi Uribe, Mario Ruiz, and Pipe Bueno. See all the spooktacular costumes below!
Jennifer Coolidge definitely thought Ariana Grande‘s Halloween costume was the best in show this year. After the pop star revealed on Instagram Friday (Oct. 28) that she had dressed up as the Emmy winner’s character from the 2000 mockumentary comedy Best in Show — and even recreated some of the movie’s scenes with former Victorious costar Liz Gillies — Coolidge took a moment to share her approval.
“This is f—–g great,” commented the actress, who previously made a cameo in Grande’s 2018 “Thank U, Next” music video. “I was gonna go as the young boy’s pet weasel from The Watcher, but now I think I’m gonna go as @arianagrande’s dog, Toulouse.”
“@theofficialjencoolidge we thank you, we love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” replied Grande. “And miss you so.”
In her post, which was also shared to Gillies’ account, Grande is captured in hilarious photos and videos cosplaying Sherri Ann Cabot, a ditzy poodle owner played by Coolidge in Christopher Guest’s fan-favorite film about a collection of people with dreams of winning the upcoming Mayflower Kennel Club Dog Show. The Dynasty star dressed up as Jane Lynch’s character, Christy Cummings, a dog trainer who helps Sherri Ann prepare her dog for an event — before the two become an official couple and start a magazine aimed at lesbian purebred dog owners.
“Happy Halloween,” Gillies captioned the joint post. “We did this in May.”
Not only did the two stars recreate the likenesses of Coolidge and Lynch, they also dressed up as a handful of other Best In Show characters and recreated a number of scenes from the film. In one, they reflect on losing the Mayflower competition and starting their magazine, named American Bitch.
“We didn’t win the Mayflower…it was devastating,” Gillies says. “But the silver lining of this cloud, of course, is that it brought us to a new level in our relationship.”
“Mmhmm,” chimes in the “Positions” singer, nailing her impression of Coolidge’s voice.
