“The reason Blake Shelton is here today on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is because you are part of the country dream, the Hollywood dream and you are part of the American dream,” Stefani said during her heartwarming speech at the ceremony, per People. “And everybody knows you are my dream come true. I love you.”
“He’s humble, he’s genuine and, trust me, wherever we go, everybody feels like they know Blake Shelton,” she continued. “Blake, you are a rare human being and for all the success that you’ve had in your life as a singer, a songwriter, a musician, a performer and entertainer, an actor, a comedian, an entrepreneur, he’s the same guy today as he was back then. A country guy with a love for country music. He’s magnetic, the most generous person you’ll ever know and always just him. No matter where he goes, making people happy, laugh, making jokes.”
Just as Stefani is Shelton’s biggest supporter, the country singer is hers. “I kind of stopped checking things off my list of great accomplishments in my life when I married Gwen, so this is just icing on the cake,” the “God’s Country” singer said of the No Doubt superstar during his speech.
Shelton and Stefani tied the knot in 2021, and have been going strong ever since. The two first met while coaching on NBC’s The Voice, which Shelton will be stepping away from after 12 years and 23 seasons.
Blake Shelton was feeling the Easter spirit on Sunday (April 9), so much so, that he took on the role of Easter Bunny for his friends and family.
Gwen Stefani took to Instagram to share a hilarious video of her country superstar husband dressed in a pink bunny suit, as well as their holiday festivities, to the tune of The Beatles‘ “Do You Want to Know a Secret.”
“bunny blake strikes again! hope u had a hoppy easter,” the “Hollaback Girl” singer captioned her post.

Shelton is currently amid his final season of The Voice. He announced his departure from the popular NBC singing competition, on which he’s been a coach since it premiered in 2011, back in October. “This show has changed my life in every way for the better and it will always feel like home to me,” he wrote in a statement posted to social media. “It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns and I want to thank everyone at The Voice from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people, you are the best. It takes a lot of work, passion, and adult beverages (Ha!) to pull off a live show twice a week.”
Gwen Stefani raised eyebrows in a new interview while reflecting on her love for Harajuku culture. The topic came up when the pop star looked back on her original beauty brand Harajuku Lovers, which she unveiled four years after the release of her debut solo album Love.Angel.Music.Baby, in 2004.
Speaking to Allure, she explained that her genuine interest in all things Japanese came from her dad, who spent much of his professional career traveling between Anaheim, Calif., and Tokyo while working for Yamaha.
“That was my Japanese influence and that was a culture that was so rich with tradition, yet so futuristic [with] so much attention to art and detail and discipline and it was fascinating to me,” she told the magazine, adding that she then traveled to the country on her own as an adult. “I said, ‘My God, I’m Japanese and I didn’t know it.’ … I am, you know.”
Whether that statement is hyperbolic, Stefani insisted there was nothing but “innocence” in her devotion to Harajuku culture and went on to describe herself as a “super fan.” Her Love.Angel.Music.Baby era was filled with Tokyo street fashion, and she even enlisted four Japanese backup dancers as Harajuku Girls that trailed her on red carpets, at photo shoots, in her music videos and on tour. The top five Billboard 200 album even contained a cut called “Harajuku Girls,” on which she sang, “Harajuku girls, you got the wicked style/ I like the way that you are/ I am your biggest fan.”
However, in the decades since, Stefani, who is Italian-American, has been blamed by some fans for appropriating the culture rather than innocently finding inspiration in it for her music and fashion.
“If [people are] going to criticize me for being a fan of something beautiful and sharing that, then I just think that doesn’t feel right,” she added in the interview. “I think it was a beautiful time of creativity… a time of the ping-pong match between Harajuku culture and American culture… [It] should be OK to be inspired by other cultures because if we’re not allowed then that’s dividing people, right?”
Allure reports that, prior to publication, Stefani turned down the opportunity to add any “on-the-record comment or clarification” to her interview. Read Stefani’s full sit-down with Allure here.

“They’ve taught me something about myself that I never knew: I’m more than just a country singer or a goofy guy. I’m someone they actually lean on, and that’s not a responsibility that I ever had and not something that I ever considered even being into,” he said of his family, noting that he feels a “different kind of self-worth” around them. “Maybe it’s the opposite of self-worth because you put yourself way down on the rung, and they move up ahead of you.”
Stefani shares Kingston, Zuma and Apollo with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. The former couple were married for 13 years — and dated for nearly six years before that — but parted ways in 2015. Shelton and Stefani tied the knot in 2021, and have been going strong ever since.
“Gwen and I have done so much traveling and touring and work the first half of our lives that now we’re like, ‘Hey, I’m good to put my sweatpants on at 6 p.m. and watch Ozark eight times,’” Shelton said. “That’s our life now, and we love it.”
“Even though I’m a stepparent, I take that job very seriously. The kids see me as a very important person in their life,” the “Boys ‘Round Here” singer added. “[When they ask,] ‘Why isn’t Blake here?’ I take that stuff to heart. I’ve made plenty of money, but you can’t buy time back. I don’t want any regrets.”
In October, Shelton revealed that after next season, he will be leaving NBC’s The Voice, which he has been a coach on since the show premiered in 2011. “The holdup over the years has been that it’s a hard thing for me to let go of. I’ve been here literally since the first minute,” he told People. “When I started on The Voice, that was 10 years into my career as a country artist. I never really made it to the A-level of country artists until I became a coach. The show did a hell of a lot more for me than I brought to the table at the time. I’ve far exceeded anything I thought I could ever accomplish in the entertainment world.”
Gwen Stefani is still having a hard time coming to terms with it being her last season with husband Blake Shelton on The Voice.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight ahead of Monday night’s episode of the singing competition show, the No Doubt singer got emotional while talking about their time together on season 22 and it swiftly coming to a close.
“It’s just been a really amazing season, too short,” the 53-year-old said just before the show’s semifinals, getting teary-eyed. “It’s mine and Blake’s last season… I can’t even get the words out of my mouth ’cause it sucks.”
She continued, “I never in my lifetime would’ve pictured me doing something like this, and it’s been one of the most fun things I’ve ever done. I love being a coach, I love watching the contestants grow, I love having an impact, it’s super inspiring for me. And then, on top of it, I meet my best friend here, that’s gonna be forever mine.”
The Voice is an integral part of Stefani and Shelton’s relationship. The pair met in 2014 while filming season 7 of the show and later began dating in 2015. After being in a relationship for five years, the pop star and country singer got engaged in October 2020 and tied the knot in July 2021.
While Stefani’s run on The Voice will conclude after the current season, Shelton will depart the show after season 23 and will be joined by The Voice veteran Kelly Clarkson, alongside newcomers Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper.
