National Exercise Day is held on April 18, and to set the mood, Billboard has curated the ultimate Latin workout playlist.
The unofficial holiday was founded in 2020 by Dr. Jeuse Bernard Saint-Fleur to raise awareness on the importance of exercise and how it can save lives, according to Daysoftheyear.com. It happens each year in April.
The Latin workout playlist includes more than 40 songs, perfect for a two-hour sweat sesh at the gym.

In our new “The Stars Behind the Stars” franchise, Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors share stories that have yet to be told, directly from those who aren’t often in front of the spotlight. Think “todo lo que no se ve detrás de cámaras,” or “everything that happens behind the scenes.” These unsung heroes are essential to an artist’s team and its foundation. Today, we highlight Yudy Arias, famed yoga instructor and celebrity trainor, who’s been pivotal in Maluma’s career.

Fifteen years ago, Yudy Arias faced a life-changing decision after the birth of her first son, Romeo: to overcome her postpartum depression medically or naturally. Immediately, she began to practice yoga and meditation. Shortly after, all her symptoms vanished, and she felt like herself again.
“That’s how I discovered yoga,” she tells Billboard. “I started studying it, I got certified, and everything for me was for my benefit. When I saw that it had a lot of power, it could change people’s lives, and that it’s a natural medicine, that was where I implemented it.”
Arias, who currently boasts more than 600K followers on Instagram, is not only a famed yogi, but is also Maluma’s aunt — and has been pivotal in his career. In fact, for his 16th birthday in 2011, she gifted the Colombian artist born Juan Luis Londoño Arias the opportunity to record his first three songs: “Farándulera,” “Perder el Control” and “Vamonos de Fuga.”
“From that day on, this whole story changed and the phenomenon of Maluma was born — with his commitment, desire to learn, and discipline,” she notes. “Our relationship is still intact. I have always seen him as a son. I have spoiled him a lot and have tried to make many of his dreams come true because I see his complete dedication and discipline.”
Since, Arias has not only formed part of the “Papi Juancho” team, but has also been key in his physical and spiritual health. Below, learn more about this month’s Star Behind the Stars, our first of 2024.

What are you most passionate about what you do?
Help people to self-discover, to be authentic, to be genuine. I love when people discover and accept themselves, when they are not afraid to be themselves. That’s what I love most about my career. When I see people acting freely without fear, who want to improve and seek purpose, that’s where I say, “Ooh, this was worth it.”
What’s the best fitness and health tip that you’ve shared with your nephew and that he’s applied to his day-to-day life?
Something that has strongly united me and Juan Luis is sports and health. He has lived my entire yoga process side by side. He knows a lot and learns a lot. I believe that the most beautiful thing that I have helped him find and cultivate is meditation. He knows that it’s a very powerful tool that he can use at any moment and use it to his advantage, and he’s done so. That has helped him a lot in many moments of stress and anything related to his career. It’s helped him clarify and be a little happier.
What other Latin music stars have you had the pleasure of working with?
I’ve worked in the homes of many celebrities and have done personalized classes with their families, such as Juanes and Luis Fonsi. I’ve had contact with Ricky Martin — we’ve had a couple of conversations. Thalia is very beautiful and supports me. In Mexico, with many celebrities too. J Balvin has practiced yoga with me, and so have athletes and soccer players. I think I have a very long database of beautiful people that have passed through my life.
One of the unforgettable celebrities with whom I exchanged yoga topics was Madonna. My nephew introduced me to her and I had the opportunity to talk with her about pilates, essences, stones. She knows a lot about the subject and it was a nice and unforgettable moment.

What projects do you have for 2024?
I am very excited because the year started the way I wanted, teaching crowds. I want to take my knowledge of yoga and meditation — and everything that has to do with spirituality — to workshops and places where there are more people. Personalized classes were already an important stage in my life but now I want to expand them to the masses. I have workshops happening in Mexico, Colombia, Spain and Miami.
Also, together with a beautiful team, I am creating an influencer agency to activate music and put it on another level. I say that yoga is an art, it has opened doors for me, and it has brought me closer to many people who have to do with art. What yoga, sports, meditation, and music are, everything goes along the same line. I am involved in some way whether organically or spontaneously. It’s called “Wow Project” and you will soon know more about it.
What are the best health and fitness tips you can offer to someone who wants to better themselves this new year?
The tips for health and well-being are very simple but they are difficult. Remember that the simplest is the most complicated. Drink lots of water. Meditate five minutes a day, and change your dark and negative thoughts for beautiful and positive thoughts. With those three things along with discipline and self-knowledge, you can achieve it.

The Hot Girl Coach is giving us some Hot Girl Hope just in time for setting those New Year’s Resolutions.
In a match made in Hot Girl Heaven, Planet Fitness is launching a partnership with Grammy Award-winning artist Megan Thee Stallion.
The rapper’s latest partnership will introduce “Mother Fitness,” a fictional character inspired by a fierce fitness goddess-like persona paired with some serious swagger – encouraging gym goers to leave behind the barriers, including intimidation and high prices, commonly found at other gyms and join Planet Fitness, home of the Judgement Free Zone, to find their Big Fitness Energy.
The integrated marketing campaign will include advertising and commercial spots, a unique AR filter, and in-app Planet Fitness workouts inspired by Megan Thee Stallion.
Additionally, a co-branded exclusive merchandise line will be available online from 12/28-1/12, benefiting Megan Thee Stallion’s mental health-focused organization – the Pete & Thomas Foundation.
There Will Also Be Merch
The collection includes crew neck sweatshirts that proudly declare Big Fitness Energy for Everybody (-ody-ody), bucket hats, and water bottles emblazoned with ‘Real Hot Girl Fit’ and more.
Planet Fitness has more than 2,400+ PF locations, and the clubs feature a unique environment where anyone can be comfortable in a diverse club with low-cost memberships that start at only $10, making membership accessible to many of Meg’s fans.
The partnership is an excellent fit because MTS regularly drops fitness videos detailing how she shapes her incredible body. The high-energy videos rack up millions of views from her fans inspired by how hard the “Savage” singer goes in the gym.
“Working out is such an important part of my routine, so this partnership with Planet Fitness genuinely embodies my personal values,” Megan said in a quote. “We want to encourage everyone to prioritize their physical and mental health heading into the New Year so they can reach new heights in 2024 and continue to grow into the best version of themselves.”
We love to see it.

The Hot Girl Coach is in. Megan Thee Stallion posted one of her signature workout TikToks showing off her new glute-building fitness routine, but be warned: Even the stallion herself struggled to get through it.
Before diving into the Tuesday (Nov. 14) video, Meg started off with her trademark introduction. “What’s up, y’all, it’s your girl Megan Thee Stallion, aka the Hot Girl Coach,” she said in a voiceover, speedily talking over clips of her posing in an athletic hoodie and biking shorts.
“Let me tell you something, Pilates is not for the mothaf–king weak,” she continued, showing footage of herself trying out movements assigned to her by a trainer. “I don’t wanna f–k with no b—h that do pilates because that little motherf–ker be tiny but that h- got might on her.”
The “Plan B” artist also shared some of her go-to booty burners, including lunges — “that’s what make the booty stick up” — and one-legged glute bridges that “really help the glutes grow.”
Madam Stallion has made a habit of sharing regular workout videos on TikTok in the past year, documenting her progress and giving “Hot Girl” tips to her fanbase, lovingly known as the Hotties. And based on the comments, her fitness content doesn’t go unappreciated. “Bro I want Megan to be like my personal trainer,” wrote one fan, while another chimed in, “You’re inspiring these people out here.”
The 28-year-old rapper is fresh off the release of her new song “Cobra,” her first single as an independent artist operating under her own company Hot Girl Productions. She recently announced via Instagram Live that she was no longer signed to a label after settling a years-long legal battle with her former record label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, in October.
Her mental health struggles are a main focus of Meg’s new track, which comes a few months after she said she’d be taking a break from music to focus on “healing” in April. “Fans can expect new music when I’m in a better place,” she said in an interview with InStyle. Since then, she’s released “Bongos” with Cardi B and “Out Alpha the Alpha” from the Dicks: The Musical soundtrack.

The Beyoncé-inspired workouts will be available in the Fitness app on Monday, Jan. 9.
Bey’s latest partnership with the brand follows Taylor Swift‘s Artist Spotlight in October that coincided with the release of her chart-topping 10th studio album Midnights. Other musicians who’ve had sets of Apple Fitness+ workouts dedicated to them include BTS, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Lopez, Pharrell Williams, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, ABBA, Prince, Shakira, The Beatles, Nicki Minaj and many more.
Apple Fitness+ will roll out two more Artist Spotlight programs later this month: the Foo Fighters on Jan. 16 and Bad Bunny on Jan. 23.
