“It’s wild, and also full circle, because before I could even walk my parents had me on the back of a horse and a pair of Wranglers,” Wilson told Billboard of the collection during a fitting in Las Vegas last month. “It’s a weird thing, because I feel like, just looking at these pictures on the wall of the collection just kind of makes me feel at home in a weird way. It just reminds me of, like, my inner child and that little girl, you know?”

The Lainey Wilson x Wrangler collection features unique designs, curve-hugging silhouettes, stylish patchwork, ringer T-shirts, western-inspired outerwear and variations of Wilson’s signature bell bottoms. A female-led design team helped Wilson bring the collection to life, which reflects her modern but retro style.

“My family is Wrangler,” she added. “My daddy thought I really made it after I told him about this [collection]. I told him, I might be working with Wrangler. He’s a man of a few words, but he was like, ‘now that’s something!’ When he says that, you know he’s impressed.”
At the heart of the collection: Wilson’s long-standing connection with Wrangler and her childhood. She wrote her first song at just nine years old, the same year that she received her first pair of bellbottoms.
“Before we even started working, [Wrangler] really got to know me and my story. Even Viv [Vivian Rivetti, Wrangler’s global vice president of design] she just asked me small details about my childhood and what did I think of [this or that], and honestly, a lot of those things ended up in the trucker Storyteller outfit. All of the things that I feel make me, me. That’s how I write songs too. I get to put my story and myself out there, and it’s cool for me to be able to express myself every day with my music, but stepping into something like this, it just really gives me another outlet. I wrote my first song at nine years old, and I thought that’s what I’d be doing forever. I’m still doing that but it’s cool, [to have] other opportunities that come up.”
While reviewing looks in the collection, Wilson pointed out some of the small details that have had a major big impact on her life. For example, her French bulldog makes an appearance in the collection, along with trucks, trailers, horses, a guitar and other nods to her Western style like the name “Hippie Mae,” symbolizing her first pair of bell bottoms and the phrase “Hillbilly Hippie,” which is named after her 2022 song. There’s also a ringer shirt with the number nine on the front symbolizing the age that Wilson wrote her first song, got her first pair of bell bottoms and went to the Grand Ole Opry for the first time.
The collection’s “Hang Tight” ringer tee represents a phrase her father told her as a child. “I remember riding this bucking horse and my daddy’s like, ‘You better hold on. You better hang tight.’ That’s just something I say all the time and then later on, I ended up writing a song called ‘Hang Tight, Honey’ so that’s our current single.”
“There’s so many little hidden [details],” she continued. “If you look close you see a heart [in the collection]. One of my first hits at country radio was a song called ‘Heart Like a Truck,’” Wilson noted of her 2022 single, which was featured in a Dodge Ram commercial.
“The bread barn right here just symbolizes my childhood,” she said pointing to another detail in the collection. “I feel like I learned a lot growing up on the back of horse. I learned how to hold on when times get tough and how to pull myself up by the bootstraps. The tractor right here, anytime I wanted to spend time with my daddy, I had to go get on the tractor with him.”
Fashion isn’t much different from music, Wilson explained of what she learned during the process of creating her Wrangler line. “[Fashion] has a lot of similarities to the music business. This record of mine that is about to come out, we’ve been working on it [since] before the other one came out and that’s how this line is, and probably all the future things that we do together. You work on it way in advance, because it’s got to go through so many hands to get to the consumer. And that’s how it is with music, it takes a team.”

“From very early on, Fantasia was always in the front of our minds at Pleasing,” Harry Lambert, Pleasing’s creative director told WWD. “The aesthetics, the mood, the bold illustrations, the colors and, ultimately, the epic world that Disney has created, were very much a world that resonated with Pleasing. As she celebrates the first decade of her career as a soloist, Ángela Aguilar has chosen to honor Mexico by showcasing a collection of striking traditional dresses she has worn throughout the years.
The regional Mexican singer, who on Tuesday (Sep. 17) received a nomination to the Latin Grammy Awards in the album of the year category for her set Bolero, kicked off in recent days an exhibit at the Mexican Consulate in Houston, which specially arranged an area for visitors to enjoy the collection titled “Ángela Aguilar: 10 Years Singing and Dressing Mexico.”
The show is free and open to the public indefinitely, from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (local time). It includes 25 outfits, including the one she wore in the music video for “Solamente Una Vez,” a song included in her newly nominated album.

Other dresses that have marked important moments in Aguilar’s career — from her beginnings singing “La Chancla” to a recent one with rebozos used at an awards ceremony — are part of this interactive experience, which includes QR codes on each piece to share information about the moment they were used.
Not to be missed is the short red dress she wore in the video for “Dime Cómo Quieres” alongside her now-husband, regional Mexican star Christian Nodal. Another notable piece is a tehuana from the state of Chiapas, hand-embroidered by artisans, which she wore for the cover of her album Primero Soy Mexicana.

Ángela Aguilar, who is the daughter of Mexican music icon Pepe Aguilar and granddaughter of the legendary Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre, made her onstage debut at only 3, while she and her family accompanied her father on tour. Five years later, she released her first album at the age of 8 — a joint album with her brother Leonardo titled Nueva Tradición that was powered by banda, mariachi and norteño sounds.
Her solo debut was in 2014 with the Christmas album Navidad con Ángela Aguilar, which was followed by Primero Soy Mexicana (2018), Baila Esta Cumbia (2020), Que No Se Apague La Música (2020), Mexicana Enamorada (2021) and Bolero ( 2024).
Visitors to her fashion exhibit in Houston will also see the tricolor dress, in honor of the Mexican flag, included on her family’s Jaripeo Sin Fronteras Tour, as well as the princess cut dress that the singer wore in front of Queen Sofia of Spain, which also showcased her Mexican roots.
Designers who have worked for Aguilar and contributed to this unique collection include Nelly de Anda, Iann Dey, Diego Medel, Enrique Samartin, Felipe Alvarado, Anayeli García Cruz and Felipe Botello, among others.
The Mexican consulate in Houston is located at 3200 Rogerdale Rd. in Houston, Texas. Watch the video with part of Ángela Aguilar’s dresses collection above.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is making a comeback, and it’s bringing one of music’s biggest living legends along for the ride. As announced Tuesday (Sept. 17), Cher will headline the brand’s first big runway showcase in six years — and she’ll be leading a lineup of all-women artists for the first time ever.
The iconic fashion house shared the news on Instagram with a video of the 78-year-old superstar singing her 1998 Billboard Hot 100-topping hit “Believe,” giving fans a taste of what she’ll bring to the VS runway this fall. “It’s a woman’s world, so it’s understood that you can’t have a fashion show without the mother of fashion herself—@Cher!” the caption reads.
“But she won’t be alone…stay tuned, more announcements are coming to round out our first-ever, all-women lineup,” the message continues.

Scheduled for Oct. 15 in Brooklyn, New York, the 2024 fashion show marks a major comeback for Victoria’s Secret. The event used to be an annual prime-time TV spectacular featuring the world’s most recognizable models — Heidi Klum, Karlie Kloss and Gisele Bündchen, to name a few of the show’s “Angels” — walking the runway in lingerie and avant-garde angel wings.
Major musicians were also frequently tapped to provide a live soundtrack for the fashion show, performing on stage as the models walked. Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez and more have all taken the gig at different points.
The last show of this kind, however, was in 2018, after which Victoria’s Secret canceled the program amid growing backlash to the brand’s lack of inclusivity and perpetuation of unrealistic beauty standards. In 2019, parent company L Brands stated its desire to “evolve the marketing of Victoria’s Secret” in the show’s absence.
Four years later, it made a mini-return of sorts with VS testing out a new approach: The Tour, a Prime Video special compiling footage of A-listers Adriana Lima, Gigi Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski and Hailey Bieber modeling the company’s apparel in cities all over the world. It also featured a performance from Doja Cat, then fresh off the release of her album Scarlet.
This year, Hadid will once again walk for VS alongside another seasoned Angel, Tyra Banks. And yes, the wings will also be making a grand return.
“We’ve read the comments and heard you,” the company wrote on Instagram in May. “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is ✨ BACK ✨ and will reflect who we are today, plus everything you know and love—the glamour, runway, wings, musical entertainment, and more!”
