Eras Tour

Would’ve, could’ve, should’ve. That’s all Travis Kelce has left since his attempts to slip Taylor Swift his digits went awry.
On the latest episode of his New Heights podcast, The Kansas City Chiefs tight end recounted his foiled plan to begin wooing the “Karma” singer.

The football star attended Swift’s Eras Tour stop at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium earlier this month, one of many shows on the record-breaking worldwide trek. Known for showstopping moments like an ever-rotating vault of surprise songs, special guests, and music video debuts, the Eras Tour has also found a defining element in fans’ friendship bracelets. Inspired by the lyric “So make the friendship bracelets / Take the moment and taste it” from Midnight’s “You’re On Your Own, Kid,” fans have been trading homemade jewelry at each Eras Tour stop.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Kelce said, “so I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”

Further explaining the phenomenon to his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, the 2023 Super Bowl champ said, “If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets. I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.” Of course, to give Taylor Swift a bracelet, one would have to see Taylor Swift in person first, which is a bit hard to do when a tour has no scheduled meet-and-greets.

Evidently, Kelce’s plan was not successful. “She doesn’t meet anybody, or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal,” he quipped. In response, his brother teased, “She probably just hasn’t gotten over the Super Bowl yet. She’s a big Eagles fan, so maybe she just made something up and didn’t want to talk to you.” Seeing that T-Swift is a Pennsylvania native, he might not be far off.

Sacré bleu! Ticketmaster France pressed pause on the presales for four Paris dates and both shows in Lyon for Taylor Swift‘s 2024 European Eras Tour.
“Some of you may be having issues with the site this morning,” the company tweeted on Tuesday morning. “We are working on it and will let you know.”

The four Paris dates at La Défense Arena on May 9, 10, 11 and 12, 2024 were set to go on sale today in two stages, with one sale for May 9 and 10 opening at 9 a.m. local time and another, for May 11 and May 12, due to start at 11 a.m. Sales for the two dates at Lyon’s Groupama Stadium, set for June 2 and 3, were due to begin at 1 p.m.

“We will keep you informed of the new on-sale time as soon as possible,” the company said. “All codes will remain valid.”

As in past presales, fans had to sign up in order to be put into a lottery for code to redeem for a shot at tickets. But shortly after the Paris sale had begun, “winning” fans began having problems and Ticketmaster suspended the presale, citing issues with the site.

Leading up to the sale, the company gave fans an idea of what to expect:

Tickets will be available for purchase via the website for access code holders on July 11, 2023. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis while currently available inventory lasts. It’s a simple, standard purchase process and the steps below will help you navigate your search and purchase.

If you are selected to receive an access code, you will receive an email and two SMS messages the afternoon before ticket sales begins on July 11 2023

The messages will include timing details and a link to where the on-sale will occur, and your unique access code.

Prepare for the sale by creating your customer account in advance if you don’t already have one. Sign-in to your Ticketmaster Account in advance. Know your Ticketmaster password, or reset your password in advance. For a faster checkout, make sure you have a valid credit card with updating billing information in your account.

The company did not respond to a request for details on the nature of the site outage.

Though “July 11” won’t carry the same stain as “Nov. 15” — the date Ticketmaster’s site buckled under the weight of millions of Swift fans trying to purchase initial U.S. Eras Tour dates — it remains another botched sale for a Swift sale for the ticketing giant.

Last week, Swift announced an additional 14 dates for her European trip next year, with Paramore opening all dates. Swift’s Eras Tour launched in Glendale, Arizona on March 17. She plays two nights at Denver’s Empower Field this weekend before heading to Seattle and the San Jose area later in July.

Taylor Swift encouraged fans to “make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it” in her Midnights track, “You’re on Your Own, Kid,” and Swifties did just that. Trading colorful, beaded friendship bracelets has officially become a fun activity for attendees of Swift’s sweeping Eras stadium tour, with fans taking to social media to […]

Let the speculation begin! Taylor Swift fans believe the pop superstar is dropping some major Easter eggs about her next re-recorded album following the surprise release of her “I Can See You” music video.
During her Eras Tour concert in Kansas City, Mo., on Friday (July 7), the 33-year-old singer delighted Swifties by sharing the action-packed visual for her newly released Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) “From the Vault” track “I Can See You,” starring actors Taylor Lautner, Joey King and Presley Cash.

Written and directed by Swift, the five-minute video finds the songstress and her co-stars pulling off a heist to recover the master recording of her third album. Toward the end of the clip, as the foursome makes their escape in a white fan, they drive across a bridge with a sign that reads “1989 TV.” This has led many to believe that a re-recording of her 2014 album, 1989, could be on the horizon.

“1989 TAYLOR’S VERSION IS NEXT. Easter eggs in the ‘I Can See You’ music video confirms it,” one fan tweeted alongside screenshots from the video.

Other eagle-eyed Swifties have pointed out that the “I Can See You” video features similar imagery to various 1989 visuals, including a close-up of the singer’s bright red lips from her “Style” video and action sequences from the “Bad Blood” video.

During Friday’s show at Geha Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Swift invited Lautner, King and Cash onstage to help introduce the “I Can See You” clip. Lautner delighted the sold-out audience by cartwheeling and backflipping onto the stage.

“WELL. SO. I’ve been counting down for months and finally the ‘I Can See You’ video is out,” Swift tweeted alongside behind-the-scenes photos the visual. “I wrote this video treatment over a year ago and really wanted to play out symbolically how it’s felt for me to have the fans helping me reclaim my music.”

Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), the newly released re-recording of Swift’s 2010 album, arrived on Friday (July 7). The new set features all of the original recordings, plus six “From the Vault” tracks.

Pittsburgh has a problem. The entire world is clamoring for a glimpse of Beyoncé’s eye-popping Renaissance World Tour, including the mayor of Steel City. In a statement posted to social media this week, Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey wrote that he was “deeply disappointed” that Beyoncé made the difficult decision to cancel the tour’s stop in […]

Ice Spice has dominated the year with a slew of star-studded collaborations, but success on the Billboard Hot 100 is not the only thing she has gleaned from these tracks. In an interview with The Guardian published Friday (July 7), the “Munch” rapper opened up about how both Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj have become mentors to her.
According to Ice, Swift — who tapped the rapper for a much-discussed “Karma” remix — had been listening to her Like..? EP during rehearsals for her Eras Tour. “I was like, ‘You f–k with my project? Like, what?’” Ice said. “She’s so sweet – I was so obsessed with how humble she was and willing to work. She gives me so much advice – we talk all the time and she’s so funny. … But I can’t say what she be telling me.”

The “Karma” remix peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100, tying “Lavender Haze” as the second-highest charting single from Midnights.

The idea for the collaboration came from Ice Spice, according to the rapper — she “reached out through her team, just kind of saying, ‘Hey, Ice has been a big fan of Taylor’s since she was a little kid, would love to collaborate if that was ever something that came about.’” As with so much of her career already, Ice manifested the collaboration into existence and soon performed the remix to a sold-out stadium alongside Swift at the New Jersey Eras Tour stops.

Aside from Swift, Grammy-nominated rap icon Nicki Minaj has been another key collaborator for Ice Spice this year. The two New York rappers have teamed up for a pair of Hot 100 top 10 hits: “Princess Diana” (No. 4) and the AQUA-assisted “Barbie World” (No. 7). In the interview, Ice expressed how much she has learned from spending time with the “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” rapper.

“She be telling me to learn from her mistakes – just watching her in general, if you pay close enough attention, you gonna see what you should do,” Ice said. “I love to talk to her about things that I can’t talk about publicly – it just means so much to be able to have somebody like her.”

In addition to “Karma,” “Princess Diana” and “Barbie World,” Ice Spice has also sent a fourth song to the top 10 of the Hot 100 this year: the Jersey-inflected PinkPantheress duet “Boy’s a Liar, Pt. 2” (No. 3).

Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour has dominated the world since it first kicked off back in April, and the stadium-sized trek is showing no signs of slowing down. Between Swift’s mind-boggling success and the positive economic impact of her tour stops on the cities that she visits, even politicians and government officials are clamoring for […]

It’s time to add another one to the list! Keeping in line with cities that have already been graced by Taylor Swift’s blockbuster Eras Tour, Minneapolis, Minn., will be temporarily renamed “Swiftie-apolis” in honor of Swift’s two sold-out shows in the city. “We are embarking on what will be one of the most exciting weekends […]

Is there anything Taylor Swift can’t turn into gold? In addition to churning out record-breaking albums and tours, the “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer is now the inspiration behind the newest cocktail at Replay Lincoln Park in Chicago. Taylor Swift is looking back on one of her early live performances. On Sunday (June 11), the 33-year-old pop superstar took to social media after her two sold-out Eras Tour concerts at Detroit’s Ford Field to reminisce about her first time appearing at the approximately 65,000-capacity stadium when she was just 16. “Ahhhhh Detroit that […]
