He has danced the Paso Doble, the Jive, the Foxtrot, and he’s an expert at handling deadly wildlife. When the votes were counted, and the results announced Tuesday night (Nov. 25), Robert Irwin added the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy to his growing list of accomplishments.

At night’s end, Irwin and his dance partner Witney Carson were crowned champions of Dancing With The Stars, completing its 34th season.
Irwin has followed in the footsteps of his late father, the environmentalist and beloved TV star Steve “Crocodile Hunter” Irwin. And with his DWTS win, the 21-year-old Australian follows the journey of his own sister Bindi, who won the competition back in 2015, for season 21.
For the finale, the final five of Alix Earle, Dylan Efron, Elaine Hendrix, Jordan Chiles and Robert Irwin squared off, as the eliminated contestants watched on and joined in on the excitement.
For the very first time, the remaining couples performed three separate new dances, including the judges’ choice, instant dance challenge and freestyle rounds.
In the end, the man from down under came out on top.
The livewire Aussie had looked the goods throughout the season, with his effortless routines which blended agility, strength, poise and a ready smile. However, Irwin sent a fright through his fanbase when, on the eve of the finale, it was revealed that he was struggling with injury, and was dealing with a rib complaint.
Following “11 weeks of crazy, vigorous, hard dancing,” Carson said in a TikTok, “my body is feeling it. Robert’s body is feeling it. We’re, like, kind of falling apart right now. Just trying to keep it together for, like, two more days. Literally today and tomorrow, and then it’s over.”
Irwin’s “ribs have been killing him,” she revealed. He played through pain, and he’s now a DWTS champion, having closely watched, and learned from, his sister’s winning run a decade ago with Derek Hough.
Season 34 of DWTS aired and streamed simultaneously on ABC and Disney+ each Tuesday, with new episodes available to stream the following day on Hulu.
Final results:
Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten (5th Place)
Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach (4th Place)
Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa (3rd Place)
Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy (2nd Place)
Robert Irwin and Witney Carson (WINNER)

Dancing With The Stars celebrated its own, 20th Birthday Party on Tuesday night (Oct. 11), and Robert Irwin was handing out the gifts.
Party night featured two unique rounds of dance. The first saw couples complete routines set to the songs of freestyle routines from earlier DWTS seasons. Then, each celebrity performed with a former Mirrorball champion in the relay dance round, which pitted two couples, toe-to-toe.
Irwin, the Australian conservationist, and his dance partner Witney Carson completed the first perfect individual score of the season, nabbing 40 out of a possible 40. They did so to the tune of his elder sister, season 20 champ Bindi Irwin’s freestyle song as a tribute to their father, the late Steve “Crocodile Hunter” Irwin.

In an embarrassment of riches, Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach; Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy; and Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas also scored perfect rounds.
For his Relay Jive, Irwin teamed up with Xochitl Gomez (season 33 champion), facing off against Alix Earle and Joey Graziadei, swinging their hips to Olly Murs’ “Dance with Me Tonight.” Dressed in baby blue, Irwin looked at home as he does in a lion’s den, as he completed floor slides, leaps and showed off his fancy footwork. Earle and Graziadei, wearing red, had the second use on the ballroom floor. Irwin and Gomez were deemed winners, collecting the two bonus points.
The party ended on a bum note for Andy Richter and Emma Slater, who notched the lowest number of points and were eliminated from the competition.
Next week is Prince Night, which also serve as the semi-finals, while the winner will be crowned Nov. 25 following ABC’s three-hour finale. Watch Irwin’s Relay Jive below.

Halloween came to Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday night, Oct. 28, and Robert Irwin completed a routine that was bloody excellent.
For week seven’s Halloween Night, the Australian conservationist and his dancing partner Witney Carson performed a Tango to “Sweet Dreams are Made of This” by The Hampton String Quartet.
In the clip, which can be seen in full below, Irwin, dressed-up like the Prince of Darkness, tangles with Carson on a fog-filled stage before taking the action to the main floor. Staying in theme to the bitter end, Irwin collects himself from the hardwood and is dragged to hell (or backstage) by dark forces, returning to face the judges with his face splattered in fake blood.

The judges loved it, as Irwin and Carson collected 38 out of a possible 40 points, their best result yet in the competition which included two perfect 10s. It wasn’t enough, however, to take top spot on the night, as the pair was pipped by Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy with 39/40.
Irwin, the son of the late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, has a fine chance of emulating the success of his older sister Bindi, who won the 21st season of DWTS, in 2015.
Irwin and Carson had two rounds of action on Tuesday night. The remaining cast members took part in the “Dance Monster-thon,” a dance off which awarded five points to the last pair standing. In the end, those bonus points went to Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas, who shimmied to a score for the night of 37/40. Elaine Hendrix was a no-show on Tuesday, following an injury suffered during rehearsals.
The remaining contestants in this 34th season of Dancing With the Star includes TV personality Dylan Efron, Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles, social media star Alix Earle, actress Danielle Fishel and actor Andy Richter. The list of contenders is shrinking. Jen Affleck and Jan Ravnik are no longer competing for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy, following their elimination on Tuesday evening.
Dancing with the Stars airs live Tuesdays on ABC and Disney+, and streams the next day on Hulu. The finale will be on Nov. 25.
Jason Mraz has barely put a foot wrong during his stint on Dancing With The Stars.
The two-time Grammy Award winner stayed true to form Tuesday night (Nov. 28), for the semi finals of ABC’s DWTS.
Fresh from topping the leaderboard with a perfect score, Mraz and his dance partner Daniella Karagach had two bites at the cherry. First up, a Viennese Waltz, a routine performed to his own song “I Won’t Give Up”. The performance was “refined,” remarked Carrie Ann Inaba. But it wasn’t perfect, earning a score of 27 out of 30.

Next up, the duo did the double with a Paso Doble, dancing to “Diablo Rojo” by Rodrigo y Gabriela. The pressure was on, but they didn’t show it as their efforts landed a perfect 30 out of 30. Inaba said she was “looking for magic,” and “that dance was magic.”

Bruno Tonioli remarked that Mraz was so good, he looked like a “man possessed by the devil”.

Would dancing like the devil be enough to get Mraz to the finals? Well, the short answer is yes. The 57/60 scorecard was enough to place Mraz and Karagach in fourth place. The longer answer involves a twist, which sees all five groups of contestants advance to the finale, with the judges’ scores from the semis carrying over.
Last week, the 46-year-old singer did the business on Dancing With The Stars, now in its 32nd season, as the celebrity dance-off paid tribute to Taylor Swift. After voicing his concerns on an early exit, Mraz and Karagach nailed it, earning a perfect score of 40 from the judging panel for their Argentine Tango to “Don’t Blame Me.” And in the “Relay Dances,” the pair bagged the additional three points for a perfect night out — and a spot at the top of the leaderboard.
In a recent interview with GLAAD, Mraz recounted his performance with Swift during her Speak Now world tour in 2011, and praised her work as an ally to the LGBTQ community. “It’s beautiful,” he said of Swift’s kinship. “If you want your music to be popular, you’re going to hopefully have it be heard by all ears. Therefore, you’re representing all ears, and you should be inclusive of all ears.”
Dancing with the Stars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+.
Too much Taylor Swift clearly isn’t enough as Dancing With The Stars paid tribute to the pop superstar with an all-TayTay special.
After remembering the late Whitney Houston on last week’s show, celebrity competitors this time strutted their stuff on the DWTS hardwood for “A Celebration of Taylor Swift.”
Leading the way once again was Jason Mraz who, along with his partner Daniella Karagach, enjoyed a bounce-back routine, an Argentine Tango to “Don’t Blame Me.”

Mraz has impressed throughout the competition, now in its 10th season, though his performance last week didn’t hit his usual high marks. For a moment there, Mraz confesses he was concerned about an early exit. On Tuesday night (Nov. 21), the pair nailed it, earning a perfect score of 40 from the judging panel.
“Reputation restored,” remarked judge Bruno Tonioli, staying firmly in TayTay theme.
More points were up for grabs, as the teams entered the “Relay Dances.” Mraz and Karagach would face off against Bachelorette star Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvintsev, with a cha cha to Swift’s “Lavender Haze,” remixed by Felix Jaehn.
There could only be one winner, and that was two-time Grammy Award winner Mraz and Karagach, as the pair bagged the additional three points for a perfect night out — and a spot at the top of the leaderboard.

Earlier, the DWTS professional dance squad got matters moving with a performance to “Love Story” choreographed by guest judge Mandy Moore (not to be confused with the singer and actor), lead choreographer on Swift’s The Eras Tour.
“I wish I could be there but I’m on tour in Brazil,” Swift said in a clip that aired at the top of episode. “I’m sending you guys all my love and best of luck to all the contestants.”
DWTS is simulcast live across both ABC and Disney+ in local time zones and the next day on Hulu.

There wasn’t much luck for Too Hot to Handle’s Harry Jowsey and Rylee Arnold, who were eliminated from DWTS with the semifinals in sight.

Jason Mraz bagged some of the highest scores this season on Dancing With the Stars, as Motown came to the dancefloor.
The two-time Grammy Award winning singer and songwriter had one of the stand-out performances of Tuesday’s (Oct. 10) “Motown Night,” as he and his dance partner Daniella Karagach cut loose with a jive to “Do You Love Me” by The Contours.
The judges loved it, as Mraz and Karagach landed the first nines of the season – two of them. With their effort, the pair scored a total of 34 of a possible 40, the equal best result of the night.

At the bottom end of leaderboard, it was a bummer of a night for supermodel Tyson Beckford and his dance partner Jenna Johnson, who scraped to 20 points from a possible 40 with their foxtrot to “Master Blaster (Jammin’)” by Stevie Wonder. It was bye-bye for Beckford, who joins the growing count of eliminated contestants, which includes last week’s outgoing pair Jamie Lynn Spears and Alan Bersten.
Mraz has sparkled in his DWTS run, and based on his scorecards, he’s improving as the season moves on. Last week, the judges awarded the pair 24 out of 30, equaling the night’s (and season’s) best, and before that, they nabbed a hattrick of sevens (good for equal second, just one point from the top of the early leaderboard).
Earlier in this 32nd season of DWTS, Mraz addressed the secrets to his dancing powers; he claims to have an extra vertebra in his spine.Mraz has landed two top 10s on the Billboard Hot 100, and five top 10s on the Billboard 200, including two No. 2s — for 2012’s Love Is a Four Letter Word and 2014’s Yes. A No. 1 has so-far eluded him.
Dancing with the Stars is live Tuesdays on ABC and Disney+, and is available for streaming on Hulu. Next week is Disney 100 night.

It turns out, Jason Mraz just wants to dance.
The 46-year-old artist has enjoyed an impressive recording career, yielding two Grammy Awards across two-plus decades, and earning the Hal David Songwriters Hall of Fame Award. Nine of his songs have impacted the Billboard Hot 100 chart, including two top 10s.
On Tuesday night (Sept. 26), Mraz showed off his other talents on the season 32 premiere episode of Dancing With The Stars, when he strutted his stuff with a Cha Cha.

Mraz and his dance partner Daniella Karagach danced to one of his own songs, “I Feel Like Dancing,” and landed a hattrick of sevens – placing the pair equal second, just one point from the top of the early leaderboard.
This hidden skill, Mraz pointed out, might have something to do with an unusual physical feature; he claims to have an extra vertebra in his spine.
Veep star Matt Walsh won’t be around to dance another day. After his own cha cha with Koko Iwasaki was bracketed in the bottom three, fans voted, the judges weighed in and Walsh was walking.
Mraz is competing for the Mirrorball Trophy, now renamed in honor of the late head judge Len Goodman.
Mraz will hope his DWTS run goes deep. On Sept. 22, Atlantic/Rhino will release the 15-year anniversary edition of We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. We Deluxe Edition.
The forthcoming collection will be available as a three-LP, two-CD set, and digitally. We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things originally peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, following its release in 2008, and is one of his five top 10 appearances on the albums chart. In June, Mraz released his eighth studio album, Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride.
