A Texas judge has dismissed Drake from an impending civil lawsuit related to the deaths that occurred at Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival two and a half years ago.

The judge overseeing the Astroworld trial has granted Drake’s request to be dropped as a defendant in response to a request from his legal representation. The decision was recently made by Harris County Judge Kristen Hawkins. Judge Hawkins also dropped Epic Records, Travis Scott’s record label, as a defendant in the upcoming trial in addition to several other companies that were named. Travis Scott, however, had his request to be dismissed denied and will remain a defendant along with his Cactus Jack Enterprises group, LeFlame Enterprises, Front Gate Ticketing Solutions, Apex Security Group, Apple Inc., Sascha Stone Guttfreund, Valle Services and Valle Security Texas who were involved in the planning of the festival.

Drake had requested to be dismissed on the basis that he was a guest of Scott. The Her Loss rapper was onstage with Scott at the festival, which took place at NRG Park in Scott’s hometown of Houston, Texas. Shortly afterward, the crowd surged crushing numerous individuals in an attempt to be closer to the stage. Ten people – including a 9-year-old child – lost their lives as a result, with many more claiming various injuries. The main lawsuit came about as a consolidation of multiple individual lawsuits that were filed after the incident.
The civil trial is expected to commence next month. There will be no criminal trial against Scott after a grand jury decided to “no bill” on all counts based on the evidence presented to them last summer. “While we are incredibly disappointed that Mr. Travis Scott will not be indicted on charges stemming from the senseless tragedies and chaos that occurred at Astroworld, we are undeterred and will continue fighting every day on behalf of the hundreds of injury victims – who simply intended to attend a concert for a night of fun – to ensure responsible parties are held accountable in the ongoing pursuit of justice,” said Kevin Haynes, a lawyer representing some of the victims at the time.

Rick Ross went up against one of the pettiest rappers in history when he was feuding with 50 Cent many years ago. So it should be no surprise that he clearly applied those lessons when quickly retorting to the bars Drake aimed at his head when the 6 God dropped “Drop & Give Me 50.”
[embedded content]
On “Drop & Give Me 50,” which leaked on Saturday (April 13) and many initially suspected was AI-generated, Drake went at Kendrick Lamar, Future, Metro Boomin, Rick Ross and The Weeknd. As for Rozay, Drake said the Miami rapper’s biggest records owed a lot to his lyrical contributions (“I might take your latest girl and cuff her like I’m Ricky/Can’t believe he jumpin’ in, this n*gga turnin’ 50/Every song that made it on the chart, he got from Drizzy,” rapped Drake”)

Rozay returned fire the same day with “Champagne Moments,” and he pulled no punches, and heaped on the slander, repeatedly calling Drake “White Boy” throughout the song. “N*ggas leakin’ their records when we speakin’ directly/If we keeping it gangsta, when you see me, you check me,” spits Rozay over the dramatic instrumental.
But the sh*t talking after the rapping was more dastardly as he accused Drake of sending French Montana a cease-and-desist letter (thus, why he unfollowed him on Instagram) and even accused the Toronto rapper of getting a nose job.
To this, Drake told his momma, adding that Rozay had gone racist, allegedly. Okay.

But to show how extra surly Renzel was moving, he sported a hoodie emblazoned with Drake’s image for a performance the same evening he dropped his diss song. Nefarious.

And the next day (April 14) Ross is still going in, using Drake texting his momma about their beef as more fuel to clown “BBL Drizzy” about allegedly faked abs and to call his crew the “Pastrami Posse.”

Clearly, Renzel was ready for the smoke. Check out “Champagne Moments” below and reactions to Rick Ross’ retort in the gallery.

Drake is taking more shots than the height of the COVID-19 vaccine run after catching some bars from Kendrick Lamar earlier this month. On Future and Metro Boomin‘s latest project, WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU, The Weeknd and A$AP Rocky delivered additional jabs and uppercuts in the direction of Drake.
If it wasn’t clear before, Drake certainly appears to be in an all-out war with several heavy hitters in the industry. As mentioned above, K-Dot didn’t hold back on his feature verse on “Like That” from Future and Metro Boomin’s WE DON’T TRUST YOU album.
The Canadian superstar was targeted once again on the follow-up WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU by his fellow countryman The Weeknd on the track “All To Myself” which doesn’t name Drizzy but certainly seems to be about him.
“These n*ggas always yappin’, yeah/ I promise that I got your back/ Ooh, look at how we movin’, baby/ They could never diss my brothers, baby/ When they got leaks in they operation/ I thank God that I never signed my life away/ And we never do the big talk/ They shooters makin’ TikToks/ Got us laughin’ in the Lambo.”
The lyrics seem to point to the fact The Weeknd never signed to Drake’s OVO Sound label despite being from the same city. The latter portion of the verse seems to be aimed at OVO Sound artist Baka Not Nice.
A$AP Rocky, who probably owed Drake a few more bars than he’s already given him, appears to get at the For All The Dogs star on the track, “Show Of Hands.”
“N*ggas swear they bitch the baddest, I just bagged the worst one/ N*ggas in they feelings over women, what, you hurt or somethin’?/ I smashed before you birthed son, Flacko hit it first, son,” Rocky said, appearing to suggest he slept with the mother of Drake’s child before he did.
Adding to all of this, J. Cole, who was swept in the Rap Royal Rumble but backed out during the Dreamville Festival, is featured on the track “Red Leather” which some fans are looking at sideways.
On X, formerly Twitter, the fans are breaking down the bars while connecting the dots. Check out the reactions below.

ESPN host Stephen A. Smith is siding with Drake in his brewing rap beef with Kendrick Lamar in the latest Drink Champs episode.
It’s not an understatement to say that Stephen A. Smith, the host of ESPN’s First Take, is highly opinionated. So in his appearance as a guest on the Drink Champs podcast, the talkative media personality was asked for his take on who he’d pick in the burgeoning rap beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. “First of all, major props to both of them,” Smith began. “I’m gonna go with Drake because even though everybody knows Kendrick Lamar and knows how gifted he is, you got too many people periodically trying to come at Drake, and he’s always standing.”

The veteran sports journalist added, “I mean, he’s one of those dudes. It could be the look, it could be how he communicates, it could be his flavor—it could be anything. But Drake damn near seems impenetrable, and what I take from Drake is, I don’t hear too many people coming at Kendrick Lamar.” Smith finished his point by sympathizing with the Certified Lover Boy rapper, likening the constant scorn he gets to what Drake goes through. “But everybody always trying to come at Drake, and, obviously, I can relate to that,” he said.
Smith’s voice is the latest to chime in on the tension between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, which took on another level after J. Cole released his Might Delete Later project last Friday (April 5). It contained the track “7 Minute Drill,” which leveled serious jabs at Kendrick Lamar. The track was in response to the verse the To Pimp A Butterfly rapper delivered on “Like That” from Future and Metro Boomin’s recent album. Cole would later declare that the song didn’t sit right with him at his Dreamville Festival on Sunday (April 7) and offer up an apology on stage.

Over the weekend, J. Cole made news not only for dropping a new diss record aimed at Kendrick Lamar, but ultimately apologizing to K. Dot as Cole regretted even going that route.

Naturally, fans were split on Cole’s words with some understanding Cole’s stance on beefing with his rap peer while others were upset that the Might Delete Later artist would cheat everyone out of a highly-anticipated rap battle. All the while Kendrick’s other target, Drake, has remained mum on a response to K. Dot’s shots on “Like That.” He did, however, react to J. Cole’s shocking apology.

According to TMZ, the King of the North isn’t planning on falling back from the impending rap battle like his “First Person Shooter” partner. Apparently, DJ Akademiks spoke to Drizzy about J. Cole’s decision to step back from the Kendrick Lamar beef, and after dragging Cole a new one for his apology over “7 Minute Drill,” Akademiks says he warned Drake not to follow suit.
Per TMZ:
Ak has been losing sleep on his Rumble stream ripping into Cole’s apology, but told his chat he had a long convo with Drake who scoffed at the notion of saying sorry to Kendrick.
Ak says Drake literally laughed at him when warned not to apologize like Cole, and shared an incredulous message … “I can’t f***ing believe you would say some s*** like that to me.”
Well, fans have been wondering if Drake would respond on a new record as he wasted no time clapping at Meek Mill in 2017 with “Back To Back,” but did refrain from responding to Pusha T’s scathing “Story of Adidon” in 2018. So you never really know with Drake.
With every week that passes since Future and Kendrick Lamar flamed him on “Like That,” it seems more unlikely that Drizzy will get in the booth and clap back at his competitors in the rap field.

But if DJ Akademiks is to be believed, Drake’s putting something in the chamber and may let it off sooner… or later? We shall see.
What do y’all think? Is Drake going to respond to Kendrick Lamar or is he fronting in hopes that people just move on and forget about it? Let us know in the comments section below.

Drake has been seen giving Sexxy Red a lot of gifts and public accolades – but Joe Budden isn’t so sure it’s genuine.
Drake has been spotted giving younger artists, primarily Sexxy Red a lot of support in recent months, calling her “my muse in this short and confusing life”.

The display has Joe Budden questioning the true motive behind it, even going so far as to suggest that Drake is getting financial compensation out of it. In the episode of his namesake podcast which last Thursday (March 28), Budden laid out his theory at the 2-hour mark of the show.

“Respectfully, it sound like a n*gga that could rap at that level that gets paid off of everybody’s deal tryna rap. That’s what it sound like to me. I’m not arguing with none of you n*ggas, I’m not trying to debate,” Budden said. That prompted a question from co-host Trevor “QueenzFlip” Robinson.
“Is this confirmed? Or is this just some inside sH*t that you sayin’?” Flip asked. “Oh, you think he just like being around Sexyy Red that much? I can name some more people.”
The comments caused a stir online, and Drake made it known that he got wind of the “Pump It Up” artist’s words in a highly public way. After his most recent It’s All a Blur Tour – Big As the What? concert tour stop, which was held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y. over the weekend, Drake posted a photo of Budden to his Instagram Stories with one question: “WHAT’S THE VIBES NY?!”
That same show, he also used his song “Energy” to direct some smoke toward Kendrick Lamar in response to his blistering verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That”, exclaiming “Fuck these n*ggas,” at the end [view the video here].
Sexxy Red issued her response to Budden’s claim, writing “They so dumb,” while quoting a post of the clip of Budden’s remarks.
Drake’s support of the “SkeeYee” rapper has been lavish, as she displayed in a post on X, formerly Twitter at the beginning of March where she posed with two of four Chanel bags that he apparently got her (they were in pink, purple, burgundy and black) along with $50,000 in cash. “Rich baby daddy gang, 50K n 4 Chanels fa a bad Bthc, Thank You Drake,” she wrote with heart and a kiss emojis.

Drake and Lil Wayne have been in the musical spotlight for years and have dozens of songs that few people could commit to memory with perfection. So it was baffling to see fans overreact to the revelation that Drake and Lil Wayne employed a teleprompter during a recent concert.
Drake and Lil Wayne joined together onstage during a weekend stop in Sunrise, Fla. for the Canadian superstar’s It’s All A Blur tour. The pair performed the track “Right Above It,” which was a single on Tunechi’s 2010 album, I Am Not A Human Being. It was also the theme song for the HBO sports drama Ballers featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Fans who either attended the show or saw footage noticed that a teleprompter was used to help the two keep pace with the song, and it doesn’t appear that Drizzy or Weezy skipped a beat during their set. That said, a passionate debate was sparked with many wondering if the use of teleprompters during a Hip-Hop concert was a new thing.
Of course, when you’re trying to deliver a perfect set for paying fans, you want to stick the landing and why wouldn’t an artist use every technical advantage to make sure attendees are getting their money’s worth? R&B singers do this all the time and given the bodies of work both of these major artists have produced, they’re certainly not going to remember a song they recorded more than 14 years ago.
We’ve got the reactions from fans on X, formerly Twitter, debating the finer points of using a teleprompter for some odd reason. It’s all pretty silly if you ask us but hey.

Kendrick Lamar set the internet on fire with his “Like That” verse, seemingly calling out Drake, J. Cole, Future, and Metro Boomin’s new project, WE DON’T TRUST YOU. The Canadian rapper has responded, and Hip-Hop fans are giving him the side-eye.
GET IN THE BOOTH!
That’s what users on X, formerly Twitter, are screaming at Drake after allegedly addressing Lamar’s scathing bars.
Spotted on HipHopDX, the “Nice For What” didn’t clap back with bars but with a defiant and inspirational message during his most recent performance during his second performance of two shows during his stop at Sunrise, Florida, on his Big As the What? Tour on Sunday (March 24),
Per HipHopDX:
Drizzy delivered a message of defiance to the audience: “A lot of people ask me how I’m feeling… I’m a let you know I’m feeling. Listen, the same way I’m feeling is the same way I want you to walk out this building tonight.”
“I got my fucking head up high, my back straight, I’m 10 fucking toes down in Florida and anywhere else I go,” he added, his voice growing louder and more aggressive. “And I know that no matter what, there’s not a n-gga on this Earth that could ever fuck with me in my life!”

His response follows Lamar saying with all of his chest on “Like That” that he’s best out of the “big three.” On the song he rapped:
“Okay, let’s get it up, it’s time for him to prove that he’s a problem/N*ggas clickin’ up, but cannot be legit, no 40 Water, tell’ em/Ah, yeah, huh, yeah, get up with me/F*ck sneak dissin’, first person shooter, I hope they came with three switches/I crash out, like, “F*ck rap,” diss Melle Mel if I had to.”
Hip-Hop Fans Want Drake To Find A Booth
The audience at his show felt what Drake said, but fans on X, formerly Twitter, are screaming at Drake to get in the booth to address Kendrick Lamar.
“Drake had two diss tracks Ina weekend for Meek but Kendrick Lamar got him doing self affirmations on the stage Cmon man,” one X user wrote.

Another user wrote, “Whenever Drake beefs with men, he becomes the world’s most polite Canadian.”

Lol, bruh.
Do you think Drake will clap back? After seeing his initial reaction, we don’t think so.

Kendrick Lamar put the Hip-Hop world on notice after dropping a verse on “Like That” from Future and Metro Boomin‘s new WE DON’T TRUST YOU project. K-Dot revisited his “Control” verse days and restored the feeling after aiming shots at Drake and J. Cole while declaring himself the best among the so-called “Big Three.”
Kendrick Lamar has been spending more time focused on his pgLang brand and assisting the career of his cousin, Baby Keem to great effect. The former TDE standout has often been mentioned in the same tier as Drake and J. Cole, with many thinking the trio would clique up one day and shift the entire ecosystem.
K-Dot put those hopes and dreams to rest on “Like That” and didn’t mince words at all. Some are of the mind that Lamar has taken subliminal shots from Drizzy over the years, in particular, related to their status within the Hip-Hop hierarchy.
From “Like That”:
“Okay, let’s get it up, it’s time for him to prove that he’s a problem/N*ggas clickin’ up, but cannot be legit, no 40 Water, tell ’em/Ah, yeah, huh, yeah, get up with me/F*ck sneak dissin’, first person shooter, I hope they came with three switches/I crash out, like, “F*ck rap,” diss Melle Mel if I had to”
In a bid to distance himself from the pack, Lamar added, “Motherf*ck the big three, n*gga, it’s just big me” which left nothing to the imagination.
This isn’t the first time Kendrick Lamar caused a stir. Back in 2013 on Big Sean’s “Control,” Kung Fu Kenny named names and essentially dared everyone to try his pen and had people not even involved in the jabs responding to the verse. Time will tell if Drake or J. Cole will respond, considering the latter has always represented his connection to Lamar as friendly.
Again, this could also be traced to a perceived beef between Future and Drake, although that hasn’t been confirmed. Further, Metro Boomin has had recent issues with the Canadian superstar that went public, adding to the lore of discord between them all.
On X, formerly Twitter, folks are chiming in about Kendrick Lamar’s jabs toward Drake and J. Cole. Check out the reactions below.

Bobbi Althoff’s 2-minutes t of fame have seemingly run out, and everyone loves it.
Bobbi Althhoff, the “podcaster” who has been labeled a “culture vulture” and “industry plant” by many, rose to fame due to her Drake interview, found herself on the outside looking in at an SXSW afterparty for Drake’s Magic City docuseries, Magic City: An American Fantasy.
While it has not been confirmed, Althoff’s removal from the afterparty could stem from an alleged “beef ” between the “Hotline Bling” rapper and the podcaster.
Per The Blast:
Althoff seemed to believe all was well with her and the “God’s Plan” rapper when she showed up at his SXSW afterparty on Monday night.
The drama went down at Mayfair nightclub in Austin, Texas, at the afterparty event following the South by Southwest premiere of the new docuseries “Magic City: An American Fantasy.” Drake’s DreamCrew Entertainment co-produced the project.
Although the rapper wasn’t around in person for the celebration, his team wasn’t pleased when Althoff allegedly showed up uninvited. The internet personality was also in Austin for the iHeartRadio Podcast Awards at SXSW. An insider who witnessed the drama told Daily Mail.
Are Drake & Bobbi Althoff Beefing?
The reasoning behind Drake’s beef with Althoff is quite hilarious. Allegedly, Champagne Papi was mad that Althoff showed up to one of his shows and posted a video of herself being bored during his concert performance.
“I’m really in my element here at this guys’ concert,” she wrote in the caption of the now-deleted post, originally shared on her Instagram and TikTok accounts.
The feud between the two came after her viral and intentionally awkward interview with Drake for her Really Good Podcast series.
The interview amassed over 20 million views but has since been removed from the internet, leading many to believe something went down between the two.
Did She Allegedly Cheat On Her Husband With Drake?
Following the Drake fallout, Cory Althoff, her husband, filed a motion for divorce, ending their three-year marriage, asking for joint custody of the couple’s two daughters.
They settled three weeks after the initial filing.
Some believe the July 4 filing of the divorce is no coincidence, and Althoff might have had an affair with the Canadian Hip-Hop star.
A source close to the matter denied that was the reasoning.
Anyway, social media is clowing Bobbi Althoff. You can see those reactions below.

1. Hmmmm sounds spicy.

3. Sometimes the jokes write themseleves.

5. Both can be true
