Donald Trump’s presidential campaign staff reportedly asked Elon Musk to block links to the JD Vance dossier on the X platform before the action took place.
According to reports, members of Donald Trump’s campaign staff reached out to Elon Musk to request that links to a dossier on his running mate JD Vance be blocked on X, formerly Twitter. The request apparently came before X made the move to suspend Ken Klippenstein, the independent journalist, from the platform. Klippenstein had published a link to the dossier in his newsletter. The security account for the platform stated that their reason for the suspension was due to its “rules on posting unredacted private personal information.” Klippenstein had publicly queried why other press outlets hadn’t released the document after obtaining it. The Trump campaign claimed that it was leaked after an alleged hack by Iran.
Klippenstein would be reinstated quietly over the weekend just as the report from the New York Times broke. He wasn’t named in the article, but he would subsequently point out in posts on X, formerly Twitter, that Musk’s actions were contrary to his previous posturing as a “free speech absolutist” who had deemed actions by the platform in 2020 concerning the ban of stories about Hunter Biden and his laptop as “incredibly inappropriate” after acquiring the company in 2022. After backlash, former CEO Jack Dorsey changed the hacked materials policy to prevent the “straight blocking of URLs.”
The news comes as Musk has been more and more expressive in his support of the Republican presidential nominee, being described as “obsessive, almost manic, about the stakes of the election,” even appearing on stage with Trump at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last week. He’s also expressed that fervor in a recent interview with former Fox News journalist Tucker Carlson, where he stated that if Trump didn’t win in November he’d be “screwed.” It has not gone unnoticed by many on the X platform, who have noted how much pro-Trump propaganda has been allowed to be published there. Trump has recently said that he’d consider making Musk a part of his administration, remarking over the weekend at a campaign rally that he was looking to make him “Secretary of Cost-Cutting.”

Geraldo Rivera, a longtime television journalist and pundit, has chosen a side in the upcoming presidential election despite not falling in line with his political party. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Geraldo Rivera openly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris while taking aim at former president Donald Trump and referring to him as a “Sore Loser.”
Geraldo Rivera, 81, who currently works as a correspondent for NewsNation, took to X on Monday (October 13) to deliver a scathing rebuke of Donald Trump while highlighting his support for Vice President Kamala Harris. In his reply, Rivera did not mince words and made certain to lay out why he decided to vote against his party in this election cycle.
From X:
The last time President Trump and I spoke was Friday, November 13, 2020, when he called me at home. It was ten days after his narrow lost to Joe Biden. He was calling to get my take on the controversies surrounding the election, which appeared to have been decided by a handful of votes in several states. I asked him what he would do if the vote count remained against him. As I reported on Fox News that same morning, Friday the 13th, he told me he was a reasonable man and would do the right thing if that time came.
It never did. Instead, President Trump embarked on an increasingly menacing campaign to discredit the 2020 election. With a motley supporting cast of increasingly fringe characters, he careened from one bizarre theory to the next, offering no meaningful proof, that he had been robbed by the Democrats.
None exists. If you are a Republican, Donald Trump has made a liar of you. He has coaxed and intimidated tens of millions into pretending he was reelected in 2020, and that the election was stolen.
In furtherance of that Big Lie, on January 6, 2021, Trump incited and unleashed the violent attack on the center of democracy, the U.S. Capitol for which he was Impeached. As his followers trashed that sacred space, he was on the phone urging Vice President Mike Pence essentially to overturn the will of the American people. Pence refused to put Trump ahead of the Constitution. Trump stabbed the Constitution in the back.
Rivera’s lengthy post goes on to add that anyone supporting Trump’s assertion that the 2020 election was stolen from him are “adopting his big lie about the stolen election makes you a liar” and he clarified the reason he’s voting for Harris by saying “Trump is a sore loser who cannot be trusted to honor the Constitution.”
A spokesperson for Donald Trump retorted to Geraldo Rivera’s X reply by stating “Who’s Geraldo?” although the pair clearly know each other. The Harris-Walz campaign has yet to respond to the endorsement.
Sore Loser
With three weeks to go until Election Day, Donald J. Trump stands a reasonable chance of becoming the 47th President of the United States. Despite assassination attempts, impeachments, special counsels, felony convictions and hundreds of millions in civil penalties,…

Kamala Harris attacked Donald Trump for his refusal to release his medical records, as Republican politicians tried to cover for him.
With the presidential elections taking place 23 days from now, Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris is on the offensive. She called out former President Donald Trump for declining to release his medical records, which is customary for those running to be president. “He refuses to release his medical records. He is unwilling to do a 60 Minutes interview. He is unwilling to meet for a second debate,” Harris said at a campaign rally in North Carolina over the weekend. “Why does his staff want him to hide away? Are they afraid that people will see he is too weak and unstable to lead America?”
Vice President Harris’ medical records were publicized by the White House on Saturday (October 12), marking the first time that has taken place. “Harris remains in excellent health,” her doctor, Joshua Simmons, wrote in the release. “She possesses the physical and mental resiliency required to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency, to include those as Chief Executive, Head of State and Commander in Chief.”
In the past few weeks, Trump has come under scrutiny over his age and mental acuity, evidenced by rally speeches mixed with vitriol and rambling rants. At 78, he’s currently the oldest presidential nominee. Similar charges about age were levied against President Joe Biden, forcing him to drop out of the race and endorse Harris as the nominee. Trump promised to release his medical history in August, but this has not happened.
Republican supporters and politicians have worked to protect Trump amid this new situation. Trump’s campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung pointed the press to statements regarding his health dating back to last November. House Majority Speaker Mike Johnson blasted Harris as “desperate” during an appearance on NBC’s Meet The Press on Sunday (October 13). “The American people don’t care about the cholesterol level of Donald Trump,” he added. “The medical records are irrelevant.”

Donald Trump loves to talk out the side of his trout mouth at a rally, but when it comes to the logistics, that’s a different story. The MAGA fateful who attended his rally in Coachella on Saturday evening (Oct. 12) learned this the hard way when they found themselves stranded due to a bussing snafu.
As for the rally itself, it was standard nihilistic fare (Trump even seemingly co-signed putting hands on a woman for daring to distrupt), and even actor Dennis Quaid spoke. He’s once again getting cooked for his Trump support, but that’s nothing new.
But after the rally is the real struggle. Apparently, in order to attend, you had to be bussed into the private ranch that was just outside of Indio, where Coachella is held. Getting the people there seemed to go off without a hitch. But getting the people out turned into a circus that included buses unable to find gas or just showing up late, if at all, to take people back to Indio or wherever it was their blessed MAGA-loving hearts had as a final destination
The Twitter user Billie Nelson below hilarious recapped the folly.
He bussed people in.He did NOT bus people out.At Calhoun Ranch. In between Indio & Coachella. In the desert, stranded at night, with no way out.He squeezed out what he wanted, got his sound bite.He got his photos. He got his propaganda. He left.He left MAGA in the desert to… pic.twitter.com/GnVE2dIG23

The Xitter massive witnessing another MAGA fail in real time and the aftermath had a field day piling on the slander. Reportedly, it was a 5-mile trek, through the desert, to get back to their cars.
This is your Orange King, eh? Even MAGA couldn’t help themselves, bullying one of their faithful who detailed the shenanigans to take down his post because it made their Orange Chieftan look bad.
What a time. Plenty of X users were encouraging those stranded to consider that this is exactly what Trump thinks of them. But we wouldn’t recommend you hold your breath expecting the cult members to have a come to Jesus moment.

Donald Trump announced a campaign rally at Madison Square Garden, compelling some to compare it to an infamous Nazi rally once held there.
On Wednesday (Oct. 9), an official with former President Donald Trump’s election campaign confirmed that they would be holding a rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City. News of the rally immediately sparked comparisons to an infamous rally held by a group sympathetic to the Nazi Regime in Germany in 1939. According to reports, the campaign event will be held on Oct. 27, and “will kick off an ‘arena tour’ for the former president who plans to visit battleground states in the final push before the Nov. 5 election,” reportedly including Coachella in Palm Springs, California.
Trump teased the possibility of a rally at the vaunted arena in April. “We’re going to be doing a rally at Madison Square Garden, we believe,” he said at the time. “We think we’re signing Madison Square Garden to do. We’re going to have a big rally honoring the police, and honoring the firemen, and everybody. Honoring a lot of people, including teachers by the way. We’ll be honoring the people that make New York work.” At his campaign rally in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday evening, he announced it to the crowd who met the news with cheers. “We’re going to make a play for New York,” he said.
Observers noted that the rally’s theme of “America First” bears a striking resemblance to the rally held at the former Madison Square Garden on Feb. 20, 1939, by the German American Bund. The rally featured attendees cheering on “speeches were explicitly anti-Semitic, and tirades against ‘job-taking Jewish refugees’ were met with thunderous applause.” It would be the subject of a PBS short film released in 2020, A Night at the Garden, which captured the event. Others questioned Trump’s decision to have a rally in a state that hasn’t gone for a Republican since Ronald Reagan.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, historian Michael Beschloss shared an image from that 1939 event featuring a banner of George Washington next to a banner bearing the Nazi swastika in response to the news. In another X post, New York State Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal called on Madison Square Garden to cancel, feeling their approval for the rally was a decision “that will endanger the public safety of New Yorkers and has the potential to incite widespread violence.”
This is a disastrous decision by Madison Square Garden that will endanger the public safety of New Yorkers and has the potential to incite widespread violence.
For the good of NYC and its residents, I demand @TheGarden keep our city safe by cancelling the Trump rally 3/3

Donald Trump is still a strong contender in the current race for the White House despite floundering in speeches and his rambling diatribes that hop from topic to disconnected topic. During an appearance on comedian Andrew Schulz’s podcast, the host laughed at Donald Trump after he claimed to be an honest individual.
Donald Trump was a recent guest on Andrew Schulz’s Flagrant podcast and chummed it up with the in-studio cast while employing his usual rapid-fire style of answering inquiries. Much of what observers have seen on the campaign trail was just as evident in Trump’s Flagrant appearance, but one moment from the former president had Schulz cracking up.
Trump was challenged on his honesty during his campaign and said to hosts that he’s “basically an honest person” and almost immediately, Schulz asked what he meant by that statement through fits of laughter.
On X, the Kamala HQ account clipped the response and posted it online with the video gaining almost six million views since publishing on Wednesday (October 9). This comes after Trump’s opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris has been on what is being framed as a “media blitz” and has appeared on the popular Call Her Daddy podcast, 60 Minutes, and other media hubs.
On X, the clip of Donald Trump on Flagrant is making its rounds and the reactions are what you can expect when it comes to the Felonious Funkmaster. We’ve got those reactions listed below.

Donald Trump and his connection to President Vladimir Putin have come under scrutiny over time and a new book from longtime journalist Bob Woodward delves deeper into the ties. In Woodward’s latest book War, the author shares details of Donald Trump sending COVID-19 tests to Vladimir Putin, holding telephone conversations with the Russian leader, and more.
The explosive details shared in Woodward’s new book reveal Trump’s deeper ties to Putin than previously reported. As seen in a report from CNN, which obtained an advanced copy of the book, Woodward wrote that Trump secretly sent COVID-19 tests to the Russian leader for Putin’s use and this occurred during the height of the pandemic that ravaged the United States.
Woodward also shared in his writings that Trump called Putin at least seven times since leaving office, further solidifying their relationship with one another.
More from CNN:
During the height of the pandemic, Russia and the United States did exchange medical equipment such as ventilators. But Putin — who infamously isolated himself over fears of Covid — told Trump on a phone call to keep the delivery of the Abbott machines quiet, Woodward reports.
“Please don’t tell anybody you sent these to me,” Putin said to Trump, according to Woodward.
“I don’t care,” Trump replied. “Fine.”
“No, no,” Putin said. “I don’t want you to tell anybody because people will get mad at you, not me. They don’t care about me.”
Donald Trump and his team have denied Woodward’s account of the events laid out in Woodward’s book.
Woodward also highlights candid conversations held by President Joe Biden, including one especially profanity-laced exchange regarding Putin and another highlighting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Kremlin confirmed via spokesperson Dmitry Peskov that Trump did indeed send the COVID-19 equipment as told to Bloomberg News. Peskov did say to Russian outlet RBC that Trump and Putin did not speak on the phone at the rate Woodward said in his book.

A recent New York Times article critical of Donald Trump’s mental acuity got the hosts of Fox and Friends irate.
The hosts of Fox And Friends weren’t pleased with the New York Times on their Monday episode (October 7), particularly due to a published article about former president Donald Trump and his diminished mental faculties being more apparent in his public appearances. Host Brian Kilmeade was angered, and attacked Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris’ interviews with Howard Stern, the Call Her Daddy podcast, and other non-traditional media outlets. He then attacked the vice president over a recent campaign rally speech: “Her prompter stopped on Friday and she kept repeating the same 32 days four or five times.”
Kilmeade then attacked the Times article: “Yet the front page of the “New York Times” last night — and maybe it’s today’s that just broke last night — is Donald Trump mentally okay? He just spoke for an hour and 45 minutes in front of sixty to a hundred thousand people. He does three interviews a day, he is going to do a whole bunch, he’s doing WABC this morning, he’s going to do a whole bunch of interviews all week. And they’re like, is Donald Trump okay, why doesn’t he do a cognitive exam?’ The hosts would ultimately concede that Harris was in a better position because of her 60 Minutes interview, as Trump & his team declined to do a similar one.
The article, written by Peter Baker and Dylan Freedman, goes into great detail about Trump’s gaffes in the last few months with one damning paragraph providing distinct data showing how his speeches have changed: “Similarly, he uses 32 percent more negative words than positive words now, compared with 21 percent in 2016, which can be another indicator of cognitive change. And he uses swearwords 69 percent more often than he did when he first ran, a trend that could reflect what experts call disinhibition.” Social media users who got wind of the comments from Kilmeade mocked him and his fellow hosts.
