Donald Trump had plenty to say about Jimmy Kimmel’s Oscars hosting—but the comedian had the last laugh, responding in real-time.
On Sunday night (March 10) the 96th Academy Awards were coming to a close. Comedian and late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel served as the host of the grand event at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, and he began to thank the audience. “This show is not about me, and I appreciate you having me. It’s really about you, and Emma, and all these great actors and actresses and filmmakers, but I was told we had like an extra minute, and I’m really proud of something, and I was wondering if I could share it with you. I just got a review and ummm…,” Kimmel said before reading a Truth Social post from former President Donald Trump about him.
“Has there ever been a worse host than Jimmy Kimmel at The Oscars,” the post said. “His opening was that of a less than average person trying too hard to be something which he is not, and never can be. Get rid of Kimmel and perhaps replace him with another washed up, but cheap, ABC ‘talent,’ George Slopanopoulos. He would make everybody on stage look bigger, stronger, and more glamorous. Blah. Blah. Blah. Make America Great Again.” Kimmel paused as the crowd laughed. “See if you can guess which former president just posted that on Truth Social. Anyone? No? Well thank you President Trump. Thank you for watching. I’m surprised you’re still up. Isn’t it past your jail time?”, Kimmel retorted. The Oscars crowd broke into heavy laughter and applause after Kimmel’s jab.
Kimmel revealed that he had been advised not to read Trump’s post on Truth Social during an interview with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on Monday morning (March 11). “They’re like, ‘You’ve got a little bit of time’ and I was like, ‘I’m reading the Trump tweet,’ and they’re like, ‘No, no, don’t read that,’” he said. He didn’t specify the person in particular who told him that he couldn’t read the post, but Kimmel replied: “[I was like] ‘Yes I am.’”
It’s not the first time that Kimmel has verbally smacked down the former president concerning the Oscars. Back in 2018, Trump posted “Lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY,” the morning after that year’s show on Twitter, also hosted by Kimmel. “Problem is, we don’t have Stars anymore – except your President (just kidding, of course)!” Kimmel fired back: “Thanks, lowest-rated President in HISTORY. “

Super Tuesday results are in and as much of America knew to expect an inevitable President Joe Biden and Donald Trump showdown once things settle, there was a twist here and there. Although it won’t amount to much at the polls, Biden lost the American Samoa contest, a region that carries six delegates and its residents are not allowed to vote in the general election.
Super Tuesday was not packed full of the drama of days of the past as much of the primary races for the presidential race were known to be dominated by the incumbent Biden and Trump on the other side. Biden lost his first primary race of the year in American Samoa to Jason Palmer, a businessman and political newcomer. While the Biden campaign probably isn’t enthused by the news from a front-facing standpoint, it shouldn’t put much of a dent in Biden’s momentum.
What was interesting is the uncommitted protest vote in Michigan, launched due to the White House’s support of Israel during its clash with Hamas. Other states that had either an “uncommitted” line, no preference, or write-in portion were Alabama, Colorado, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Vermont. Despite this, Biden looks poised to secure the Democratic Party nomination with several wins with little resistance under his belt. Biden also won Iowa, which has been a tough state for him to carry.
Trump, hasn’t hardly broken a sweat against his Republican Party primary opponents and already has 995 delegates of this writing, needing 1,215 delegates in all to earn the nomination. Former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley appeared to have momentum on the campaign trail and was seen as being miles above the other candidates but Trump’s power at the polls remains strong as ever. Haley is now leaving the campaign trail considering the numbers.
Biden has 1,497 delegates and needs 1,968 to earn the Democratic Party’s nomination. There isn’t a roadmap that suggests that Biden won’t win despite the surging “uncommitted” protest vote movement that could have some effect on the vote in November.
The primaries also set the stage for U.S. Senate races in Texas, with Colin Allred set to take on incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz, who saw little threat to his seat from inside his party. In California, Rep. Adam Schiff is leading the Democratic Party primary so far with his Republic Party opponent Steve Garvey leading on his side. Rep. Barbara Lee also entered the U.S. Senate primary race but is trailing last in her party’s race as results continue to come in.
There are 10 California U.S. House of Representatives contests that will get a lot of attention this fall, along with five North Carolina seats, and six Texas seats. Alabama has two seats, including one district that could flip Democrat in November. The House is a critical series of races for Democrats, who hope to wrestle control of the chamber away from Republicans.

Donald Trump has raised questions about his mental acumen again, after confusing Barack Obama for President Joe Biden at a campaign rally.As questions of age and performance dominate the 2024 presidential election, Donald Trump’s recent gaffe at a campaign rally involving former President Barack Obama and current POTUS Joe Biden has observers again wondering how mentally sound he is. “Shortly after we win the presidency, I will have the horrible war between Russia and Ukraine settled,” Trump began on Saturday (March 2) while speaking to the crowd gathered in Richmond, Virginia. “I know them both very well and we will restore peace through strength. Get that war settled. It’s a bad war. And Putin has so little respect for Obama that he’s starting to throw around the nuclear word,” he continued. The crowd present at the rally reportedly fell silent.
This isn’t the first time that Trump has made this sort of error at the podium during a speech involving Obama. At the “Pray, Vote, Stand Summit” last September, he spoke out about Obama as a “radical left thug” in a rant about enforcement before saying: “The country is very divided and we did– With Obama, we won an election that everyone said couldn’t be won.” The problem is, that Trump ran for president against Hilary Clinton. He also made the same error last month saying he was beating Obama at the polls. Trump has also gone on record confusing his GOP primary opponent Nikki Haley for Democratic Representative Nancy Pelosi.
The mental gaffes have put a spotlight on the 77-year-old and his apparent mental decline, with some speculating that it could be more serious than his campaign team and supporters are admitting. Observers also note the large disparity in coverage of President Biden’s verbal miscues and questions of his age compared to Trump, who has either not faced those questions from right-wing media outlets and figures or has claimed he “purposely” made those errors. The online reaction from social media to the latest Trump verbal faux pas ranged from ridicule to genuine concerns about his mental acuity given that he’s running for president to avoid criminal prosecution on several fronts. Kristen Welker, now some months into her hosting duties for political talk show Meet The Press, sparked the wrath of X users after making a statement about Donald Trump. Welker stated during the broadcast that Trump allegedly tried to overturn the November 2020 elections, causing the reporter’s name to trend on X with loads of commentary.
Kristen Welker was on Meet The Press on Sunday (March 3), with Republican Party presidential hopeful Nikki Haley and Democratic Party congresswoman Rep. Debbie Dingell as guests. During one segment, Welker explained that Trump allegedly attempted to overthrow the November 2020 election results, which the business mogul lost to President Joe Biden.
Almost immediately, Kristen Welker saw her name trending with users highlighting instances in which Trump denied the results and essentially egged on his supporters to express the same sentiment via the so-called “Stop The Steal” movement, which helped spark the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol that left five dead, more than 170 people injured, and lead to several arrests.
Of course, Welker’s use of the phrase is proper in the legal context but the pushback largely stems from Trump’s history and his brash public stance about what took place on that fated day on Jan. 6, 2021. As one X user noted, Welker’s use of the word “allegedly” is properly used thus the outrage is somewhat misplaced.
Several of the replies on X, formerly Twitter, directly speak to the events around the insurrection as evidence that Donald Trump was attempting to switch the election results in his favor.

It should come as no surprise that Donald Trump continues to make sh*t up.
The disgraced former president is not popular among Black voters, but if you listened to the nonsense he spews during the campaign trail, you would think he is.
During a stop in South Carolina to speak to a room “full” of Black conservatives (spoiler alert, there were more white people in the room), Trump made one of his most ridiculous claims to date.
“A lot of people said that’s why the Black people like me, because they have been hurt so badly and discriminated against, and they actually viewed me as I’m being discriminated against,” Trump said, adding, “I think that’s why the Black people are so much on my side now. Because they see what’s happening to me happens to them.”
Spotted on Raw Story via a report from USA Today’s Sudiksha Kochi, Trump’s claims are pure C A P, and there was no “bump” in his Black support due to him finally being held responsible for numerous crimes.
In fact, his support remains at 12% and hasn’t increased since 2020.
Per Raw Story:
“Several pollsters and Black political scientists that spoke with USA TODAY said that the former president’s comparison between his legal troubles and the injustices that Black Americans have faced in the legal system are invalid,” before adding, “in 2016, Trump received the support of 8% of Black voters, according to exit polls. That support increased to 12% in 2020. The USA TODAY/Suffolk poll from January found that Trump’s support among Black voters has stayed the same at 12%. Meanwhile, President Joe Biden’s support has slipped from 87% in 2020, according to the Roper Center, to 63%.”
The Real Reason Black Folks Support Donald Trump
According to Sharon Austin, a political science professor at the University of Florida, any Black person who proudly shucks and jives for Donald Trump is doing so out of disdain for the Democratic Party, not for Trump being criminally indicted.
If anything, Trump being able to still run for the highest office in the land with 91 criminal charges, four indictments as well as being twice impeached shows the disparity in how Black people are treated if they faced the same legal issues because they definitely would be in jail already.
“There have been numerous instances of disparities in the sentencing and arrests of Black men and women who have been accused of crimes that have nothing in common with whatever he thinks he’s experiencing,” Austin explained.
Trump and the GOP have done very next to nothing to appeal to Black voters, but if you ask them, they are out here doing the work.
The latest dumb** taking point claims Trump is reaching Black voters because he showed up at Sneaker Con to show off some trash $399 gold sneakers that Fat Joe felt he needed to add to his sneaker collection.
Besides the usual Black supporters, Donald Trump isn’t making any strides with the Black community.

Donald Trump has suffered a series of legal setbacks, including one that finds the former president and business mogul along with his codefendants on the hook for a $464 million fine. Trump has until March 25 to satisfy his debt or provide a bond in the full amount, which could lead to seizures of some of his business holdings and has prompted users on X to get the #trumpisbroke hashtag trending.
Donald Trump, 77, was recently ordered by New York Judge Arthur Engoron to pay a $355 million fine after it was ruled that Trump filed financial statements that failed to show the true value of his properties and other holdings in the civil fraud case. With interest, Trump owes $455 million overall and is appealing the decision according to a report from Courthouse News Service.
If Trump is unable to secure a cash bond for monies owed or satisfies the debut, New York Attorney General Letitia James says that her office will consider seizing properties owned by Trump.
Trump’s legal team has submitted a request to pay a $100 million bond in a bid to appeal the decision, with his side also mentioning that their client might have to sell off some real estate assets to pay the fine. New York Supreme Court Associate Justice Anil Singh denied the $100 million bond offer and expects Trump to pay the full amount he owes.
In the filing of the appeal, Trump’s lawyer wrote, “The exorbitant and punitive amount of the judgment coupled with an unlawful and unconstitutional blanket prohibition on lending transactions would make it impossible to secure and post a complete bond.”
As a result of legal happenings this week, some online are assuming that Donald Trump is broke thus sparking the hashtag. Further, Trump is in the middle of vying for the GOP’s nomination for this year’s presidential race where he remains a frontrunner.

Fat Joe took to Instagram to cop pleas for securing a pair of Donald Trump’s Insurrection-worthy sneakers. Needless to say, the social media sneaker community was not pleased, and they let him know.
It goes without saying that Fat Joe is one of sneaker culture’s most prominent members, and had a hand in boosting its popularity when he famously licked a pair of soles back in 2004 on an episode of MTV Cribs. With this in mind, Joe Crack took to IG to explain that he is in no way a Trump supporter, but he felt obligated to cop a pair of January 6’s because he’s a “collector.”
“If you collect art, do you really know what Basquiat was into?” said Joe. “Do you know what Andy Warhol was into? Any of these artists that you was into? You love the art, so you get it. I guess they separate art from the person.”
Okay. The Bronx rapper’s rationale didn’t improve as he went on, respectfully.
He added, “Now, me as a sneaker collector, I had to get my hand on the Trumps. But listen, I have thousands and thousands and thousands of pairs of sneakers. When everybody flipped on Kanye, I went and bought the two most exclusive Kanyes ever.”
Again, okay.
And just for good measure, he said, “Once again, I’m not a Trumper. I dislike Trump. I’m not voting for him, not now, not never, but I’m a sneaker collector into the art.” Joe also made sure to mention that he didn’t pay for the kicks, so there’s that.
This is where we gotta mention that there’s a difference between art and kitsch. A constant criticism is that Trump is the same guy who was tossing paper towels at Puerto Ricans like it a game after a who hurricane wrecked much of the island.

Donald Trump suggested that Black voters “embraced” him due to his numerous indictments in a campaign speech over the weekend among other claims.
The history between Donald Trump and the Black community is inherently bad due to the former president’s long history of racist words and deeds against them. But the most egregious example might have been his most recent speech last Friday (February 23) where he claimed that “the Black population” embraced his mugshot taken in Fulton County, Georgia more than others. “You see Black people walking around with my mug shot, you know, they do shirts, and they sell them for $19 apiece. It’s pretty amazing — millions by the way,” he said to the crowd at the Black Conservative Federation Gala held in Columbia, South Carolina.
Amid a smattering of faint applause, Trump decided to continue with a speech soaked with so much racism that many observers were shocked and appalled. He compared his current situation of being found guilty of fraud in New York and his pending cases for allegedly interfering with the 2020 presidential election) to the centuries of hardship that Black Americans have dealt with. “I got indicted a second time and a third time and a fourth time, and a lot of people said that that’s why the Black people like me, because they have been hurt so badly and discriminated against, and they actually viewed me as I’m being discriminated against,” he said.
Trump would also go on to claim that he was “being indicted for you, the Black population” and create another bizarre moment prompted by the room’s lighting: “The lights are so bright in my eyes that I can’t see too many people out there. But I can only see the Black ones. I can’t see any white ones, you see? That’s how far I’ve come. That’s how far I’ve come. That’s a long — that’s a long way, isn’t it? Ah, we’ve come a long way together.”
The backlash to Trump’s remarks was swift. “It goes past politics. The nerve to act like we relate to mug shots — we all know mug shots because the criminal justice system, in many cases, wasn’t fair to us,” said social justice activist Rev. Al Sharpton.
Nikki Haley, Trump’s opponent in the primary, also blasted him over the remarks, calling them a “huge warning sign.”

There are racists, then there are FOX News elite-level racists. Case in point, Raymond Arroyo is getting dragged for saying that Black people will inevitably support Trump because of their love of…wait for it, sneakers.
As you might have heard, Donald Trump attended Sneaker Con in Philadelphia to announce that he was selling his superbly terrible signature sneakers. Besides getting clowned for his audacity and blatant grifting online, (the struggle January 6’s won’t even ship for months) he was also loudly booed at the event.
Nevertheless, on The Big Weekend Show on FOX News, resident doofus Raymond Arroyo—don’t let the name fool you—saw this as a political win for Cheeto because he seems to think Black voters are all about kicks when it comes to choosing their Presidents.
“This is connecting with Black America because they love sneakers,” Arroyo said. “This a big deal, certainly in the inner city. So when you have Trump roll out his sneaker line, they’re like, ‘wait a minute, this is cool.’ He’s reaching them on a level that defies and is above politics. The culture always trumps politics. And Trump understands culture like no politician I’ve ever seen.”
Spoiler, no it’s not (connecting with Black America). Stereoptyes much, Arroyo? Wait til he finds out Blacks don’t only live in the “inner city.”
Never mind that Trump has historically been a racist, sexist, bigot and any other disagreeable adjective you can think of to go along with facing multiple indictments across various courts of law. Also, he’s on the hook for sexual assault, too. But yeah, his sneakers, though.

A new report reveals how much Donald Trump despised Snoop Dogg, particularly in the final days of his time as president.
According to reports, part of Donald Trump’s last days and hours in the White House were devoted to a white-hot fury at Snoop Dogg over the artist’s past criticisms of him. Numerous sources detailed Trump’s reaction as he was briefed on a petition for a presidential pardon for Death Row Records co-founder Michael “Harry-O” Harris on January 18, 2021. It was the same day that Trump taped his farewell address before President Joe Biden took office.
“Snoop brought this case to me, and I brought Alice Johnson [who was pardoned by Trump] on board to help me with it, and she brought it to the West Wing,” activist Weldon Angelos (who also had been previously granted clemency by Trump) said in the interview. “In the past, the president has given her the ability to select cases. And she doesn’t get [clemency for] all of them … but with Mr. Harris, she is not taking no for an answer.” When presented with the petition, officials close to him reminded him of the “Gin & Juice” rapper’s previous insults of him including one line from 2018: “If you like that n—a, you m———-n’ racist. F–k you and f–k him. Now what?”
The prompts refueled Trump’s rage. “Well, f*ck him,” he snapped according to a source, who also noted that he told aides to reject the petition and trash the paperwork to get back at Snoop Dogg. That led to a scramble to assuage his hurt feelings, which led to Angelos recalling a message the rapper had taped for a documentary applauding Trump’s criminal justice reform efforts. The footage was shown to Trump, who relented and added Harris’ name to the lengthy list of those given clemency on January 19, 2021, which also included Kodak Black.
The news comes after a recent London Sunday Times interview where Snoop Dogg stated, “I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump.” That remark earned the veteran MC some backlash and questions as to why. As for the former president, his team has taken great pains to include that comment as proof of how beloved Trump is within the Black community as he’s campaigning to return to the White House.
