Chingy has dropped out of the lineup of performers at a Republican fundraiser featuring Donald Trump Jr. after public pressure.
The rapper Chingy found himself the subject of some controversy for being part of a concert event supporting LGBTQ Republicans, and he’s now dropped out of it while still defending his initial decision. The “Red, White & Rock” event is set to take place in Nashville, Tennessee, as announced by the organizers, the Log Cabin Republicans. Chingy jumped in the comments of another publication that posted the flyer last Saturday (Sept. 21), writing: “I’m a say this one time. MY JOB IS TO PERFORM AND I GET PAID TO PERFORM, NOT [CARE] ABOUT POLITICS. NOW YALL FIND SUMIN ELSE TO DO WITH YURR TIME.”

The “Red, White & Rock” event was also scheduled to have Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, in attendance along with a collection of mid-level artists. Ticket prices range from $1,000 to $50,000 for VIP access. The “Right Thurr” rapper would go on to duke it out in the comments with other people, responding to one who called him broke by writing: “You can’t be down bad when you just bought a 500k house pimp,” adding: ”Those people don’t hate me because they love my music. Music isn’t racist and that’s how I play it.”
“All this nonsense y’all creating bothers me none. I’m a performer, whether these people are political, homosexual, or whatever—they all love music… I have classic records they all love, and I will perform them for them. So I hope that helps you understand that my job as an artist is to perform and make timeless music. That I did.” he wrote, also expressing anger at media outlets not covering his being honored by the city of St. Louis, Missouri, with “Chingy Day” on Sept. 14. He’d eventually bow out of performing at the event.
“YOU KNO WHAT JUS CAUSE I DONT WANT [TO] BE IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS MESS. I HAVE DECLINED PERFORMING AND NO IM [NOT] A TRUMP SUPPORTER NOR SUPPORTER OF ANYONE ELSE BUT CHINGY. THURR YOU HAVE IT,”
Chingy’s involvement in the event is the latest effort by Republicans to draw more rappers and rap personalities into supporting former President Donald Trump. It follows Brooklyn artist Fivio Foreign’s social media posts attending a Trump rally in Pennsylvania, which also saw him roundly roasted online.

Donald Trump Jr. sat down with DJ Akademiks for a lengthy interview where Diddy and his life with Kim Porter became a hot topic.
On Wednesday (April 17), DJ Akademiks conducted one of his more eyebrow-raising interviews to date, sitting down with Donald Trump Jr. to talk about some of the more pressing topics of the moment. The interview was filmed at the Mar-a-Lago estate of former President Donald Trump. During the conversation, the embattled mogul Diddy came up, with the two discussing the recent federal raids on his properties, leading Trump Jr. to remember his ex-wife, Vanessa Kay, and her friendship with the late Kim Porter calling the latter’s death suspicious.
Trump Jr. spoke of how Kay reached out to him in 2018 shortly after Porter passed away and how she expressed being highly “afraid” of Diddy based on what the former model told her. “My ex-wife was a model in NY, and she was really good friends with Kim Porter, who was Diddy’s wife, the one who died at 47 from ‘pneumonia,’” he told the media personality. “When [Kim died], she called me…like, ‘Something is up with that.’ I said, ‘What do you mean?’ She said, ‘Kim used to tell me it was a bad—there was a lot of bad sh*t.’
He continued: “I didn’t even know but [Kim and Vanessa] would do photoshoots together, they were friendly. We would hang out when we see them downtown. Not so much with Diddy [but] she was really afraid of him, this goes back years, and [Kim] was having these conversations with my ex.” Trump Jr. would then go on to detail how Kay stated that Porter “always lived in fear of something happening,” insinuating repeatedly that her death wasn’t natural claiming that not many people her age “die from pneumonia.”
The then-47-year-old Porter passed away in her sleep in 2018 due to lobar pneumonia, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office. They also reported at the time that she had complained of a sore throat for weeks, with the illness causing her to have a 102-degree temperature. It had dropped to 96 when she was found unresponsive in her home after going to bed. She and Diddy share three children – Christian, and twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James.

Apparently, it’s been a long-running rumor that miseducated MAGA spawn Donald Trump Jr. had an affair with Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day. What people may not have heard is that, according to O’Day, her first sexual encounter with the apple that didn’t fall far from the orange tree happened in the bathroom of a gay club, which might be considered embarrassing if you’re a person who uses social media to make juvenile jokes at the expense of the LGBTQ community. (I mean, not any more embarrassing that admitting to having intimate relations with a member of the Trump family, but still.)
“I was hosting a gay club and our first time going out together—he wanted to see me so bad—and I told him, ‘Well, I’m gonna be at a gay club tonight,’” she claimed during a recent episode of Michael Cohen’s “Mea Culpa” podcast, according to Page Six.

“So Don shows up to the gay club—and I’m talking about this is one of the biggest gay parties in New York, it’s a huge f—king club,” she continued. “Everybody was in a g-string or less.”
O’Day went on to call Trump Jr. out for fronting on the Gram with all of his homophobic jokes while, in reality, he’s not as disgusted by LGBTQ folks as he would have his followers believe.
“I looked at his Instagram for the first time in years and saw all kinds of jokes of belittling the gay community …and I thought to myself, ‘Man, you were super comfortable in that gay club,’” she said. “In fact, so comfortable that we ended up going to the bathroom and, for the first time, had sex in a gay club bathroom.”
Now, obviously, Trump’s online bigotry is what it is whether he’s actually low-key cool with gay people or not. And there are likely many gay people who would rather be kept out of this mess whether or not O’Day is telling a true story. Still, it would be, at the very least, amusing, if it turned out that another member of the so-called “traditional values” party, who was married to his first wife at the time of the alleged affair, began said affair in the bathroom of a club where the community he loves to hate gathers.
Either way, this is messy—and probably unsanitary.
