Being a jerk to your fans comes with consequences. Just ask Doja Cat, who has lost many of them in just a few days.
Spotted on HipHopDX via XXL, Social Blade reports that Doja Cat lost over 200,000 on Instagram between Sunday, July 23, and Monday, July 24. Another 48,000 hit the unfollow button on Tuesday following reports of Doja Cat sniping at her loyal fans who take time out of their lives to run fan accounts and dared to name themselves “Kittenz.”
Losing a quarter of a million fans seems like a big deal. It’s barely a blip in her following count, which sits at an astounding 25.7 million.
Per Page Six’s previous reporting:
The “Streets” singer has been on one lately with her fans, going off on them over the weekend in a series of now-deleted tweets.
“My fans don’t get to name themselves s—t,” the “Boss Bitch” singer declared in a series of since-deleted tweets posted over the weekend.
“If you call yourself a ‘Kitten’ or f—king ‘Kittenz’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house.”
One fan quickly questioned the rapper’s outlandish remarks, tweeting in response, “??? only using the name YOU gave your fans.”
Twitter Feels Sorry For Doja Cat Fans
Social media gave her that same energy back, joking about how painful it must be to be a fan of an artist like Doja Cat, who constantly treats her fans like crap.
Her behavior was so bad that fellow Pop Star Charli XCX responded in a tweet, “doja cat’s being so grumpy !”
Doja Cat has also been blocking people calling her out for bad taste in men. Recently she was spotted getting cozy with problematic “influencer” J. Cyrus, who has been accused of being a groomer and manipulator and has a history of racist Vine posts.
It’s clear Doja Cat doesn’t care what you think about her or her current love interest. We shall see if that continues to lead to her fans throwing up their hands and finding someone else to stan about.

Doja Cat is catching major side-eye from not just her fans and Twitter after she took a major crap on supporters running fan accounts and a particular name for her fanbase.
It looks like Doja Cat is trying to alienate herself from her fans. Spotted on Page Six, the singer / “rapper” called out her fans for giving her fanbase a name without her consent in a bunch of now-deleted tweets she posted over the weekend.
Per Page Six:
“My fans don’t get to name themselves s—t,” the “Boss Bitch” singer declared in a series of since-deleted tweets posted over the weekend.
“If you call yourself a ‘Kitten’ or f—king ‘Kittenz’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house.”
One fan quickly questioned the rapper’s outlandish remarks, tweeting in response, “??? only using the name YOU gave your fans.”
When trying to explain herself for her crappy responses, the “Streets” crafter claimed she came up with the name when she was “an alcoholic teen.”
Okay.
She then took a shot at a fan account for using her “government name,” Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, as a handle. “You making my government name your sn [screenname] is creepy as f—k,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet.
The rapper took things further by suggesting fans delete their accounts. One user asked her, “What should i change my name to since you don’t like the term kitten.”
Doja Cat replied, “Just delete the entire account and rethink everything it’s never too late.”
Doja Cat Is Getting Friend On Social Media
It should come as no surprise the woman once accused of showing feet in racist chatrooms is catching heat on Twitter for her sh*tty behavior.
Fellow Pop Star Charlie XCX wrote in a tweet, “doja cat’s being so grumpy !”
Others point out how Doja Cat is responding to people by blocking them for wondering why she is dating problematic influencer J. Cyrus, keeping her from beating those she likes to entertain racist white men allegations.

Doja Cat somehow beat the showing feet in racist chatroom allegations, but now she has to address locking lips with a problematic influencer.
Paparazzi spotted the “Streets” crafter on a yacht out in Cabo in a tiny bikini, showing off the cakes while cozying up with J. Cyrus, that based on the photos, are a couple.
That sounds harmless, right? Well, J. Cyrus is considered highly problematic according to reporting on Dlisted. The new photos of Cyrus and Doja Cat getting enjoying themselves and each other on the yacht led to old racist tweets and harassment allegations resurfacing.
“i can not even begin to express my disgust with jcyrus. this is so gross. i was friends and mutuals with so many people personally affected by his actions. i was even mutuals and was apart of one of his projects/streams. he is a groomer. he is a manipulator. he’s DISGUSTING,” one Twitter user wrote.
In another headass moment, Cyrus shared a tweet saying you should never give your Black friends Kentucky Fried Chicken or sharing a 2013 vine with the Twitter caption, “black ass white boy.”
Per Dlisted:
Enter the allegations. Apparently, J. came up on Vine, and he was a big deal on the live-streaming service, Twitch. According to one Twitterer in the know, J. “sexually manipulated and lied to his mods and other viewers.” He allegedly did this to around 20 female fans. When confronted with these harassment allegations, J. blocked his accusers.
J. Cyrus Did Apologize For Problematic Behavior
Cyrus did issue a lengthy ass apology void of paragraphs that nobody in their right mind would want to waste a single second reading.
Doja’s fans are trying to save her like the Swifties tried to save Taylor Swift from her now ex-problematic boo. Doja moves to the beat of her drum, so we shall see how this pans out.

After years in the game, it seems like Doja Cat fans have been fooled into supporting her career as the “Get Into It” artist says her last two albums were nothing more than “cash grabs.”
Taking to Twitter to surprisingly admit that her heart and soul weren’t in her last two previous projects, Doja Cat revealed that Planter Her and Hot Pink were made simply for the money and “yall fell for it,” before adding a little salt in the wound.
“now i can go disappear somewhere and touch grass with my loved ones on an island while yall weep for mediocre pop.”
This is y’all, queen?!?
While we’re wondering why Doja Cat all of a sudden decided to tell her millions of faithful fans that she’s been duping them for the past few years, we’re not surprised as she does have a habit of partaking in weird and controversial activities. From the Illuminati rumors to allegedly cozying up to Alt-Right representatives to the incident in Paraguay that caused her to say she was quitting the music game, Doja Cat knows a thing or two about stirring up controversy.
Regardless of why Doja made that statement or what was the motive behind it, her fans are not mad at ALL, and are actually asking for more “cash-grab” projects moving forward.
What a time to be alive.
What do y’all think of Doja Cat’s tweet about her career? Let us know in the comments section below.
Doja Cat lived up to her name at the 2023 Met Gala on Monday (May 1), when she came dressed as, well, a cat.
Not just any cat, though. The “Woman” superstar’s jewel-encrusted look, complete with a cat ear headpiece and prosthetic feline nose, is in tribute to Karl Lagerfeld’s beloved cat, Choupette. The look is perfectly on theme, Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, in honor of the fashion designer who died in February 2019.
Choupette, who Lagerfeld adopted in 2011, hilariously confirmed earlier in the day that she wouldn’t be attending the prestigious event via an Instagram post. “Many people invited me to walk the red carpet of the #METGALA2023 in tribute to Daddy, but we preferred to stay peacefully & cozy at home,” the post reads alongside photos of the lounging kitty. “We pay tribute to my Daddy every day since his parting and we are very moved to see one more day dedicated to him.”
