Over the past few days P. Diddyâs been the subject of much disdain and ridicule after the video of him disgustingly abusing Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway hit the internet. While many celebrities took to social media to slam Diddy for his actions, Camâron doesnât seem to want to touch too directly on the subject. In an interview with Abby Phillip on CNNâs NewsNight, the Harlem rapper was asked about his opinion on the video of Diddy putting hands on Cassie and was seemingly bothered by the question and refrained from criticizing his fellow Harlemite. After being asked by Phillip if he ârecognized that Sean Combs,â a seemingly reluctant Camâron answered by saying he didnât support the things that Diddyâs been accused of calling the video âegregiousâ and said Diddy wasnât ânecessarily a friend.â
When Phillip once again asked if he recognized that side of Diddy, Camâron asked her, âWhat do you mean did I recognize him? I seen him. What do you mean my experiences? I seen it and thought it was disgusting. I didnât do a zoom in and seen if it was really him but he admitted it was him.â
Things only got a bit weirder when asked about his thoughts on Diddyâs widely panned âapologyâ video. Cam didnât want to weigh in on how he felt about it saying âThe apology ainât for me to decide, itâs for Cassie. He ainât do nothing for me. You need to ask Cassie if she accept the apology. What I think about it donât matter.â
And if you thought things couldnât get any weirder than that, it did. After being asked about Diddyâs reputation for treating his artists, Cam downed a shot of his PinkHorsePower sexual enhancement drink before stating he was âgoing to get some cheeksâ after the interview.
In an attempt to keep it professional, Phillip asked Cam if the music industry had been protecting Diddy all these years only for a visibly annoyed Cam to ask someone on his side âWho booked me for this joint?â before the interview was cut as Cam definitely didnât want to be talking about Diddyâs issue in front of America.
Taking to X to speak on his appearance, Camâron said he was bothered that they didnât invite him to talk about the success of his show with Ma$e and the âpositive stuff we do in our community.â Once again saying he doesnât support anything Diddy is accused of, Cam says âthis is what I do on these jointsâ when it comes to interviews on cable news network.

Joe Budden is back in a familiar position after fans are hurling criticism at the broadcaster for seemingly avoiding the topic of Diddy due to their past business relationship. A recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast was discovered to have edited out a portion of the show regarding Diddy and the violent nature of the released video.
During the Friday (May 17) taping of his eponymously named podcast, Joe Budden and his co-hosts were probably expected to tackle the topic of Sean Combs and the video showing the mogul physically harming then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
As fans online noted, the podcast episode description on Saturday (May 18) showed a timestamp of the crew discussing Combsâ recent issues. However, the discussion was scrubbed from the episode and the outcry from the public Budden to speak on X Spaces. This isnât the first time Budden has edited out a discussion about Combs, doing so back in November of last year when Ventura went public with her lawsuit.
In the Spaces, which also featured comments from Buddenâs music collaborator and part-time podcast member Emanny, Budden says that they didnât properly address the situation because it was happening as they were taping. He assured attendees in the Spaces chat that he intends to dive into the matter in detail in the next episode, which airs this Wednesday (May 22).
Budden was part of Diddyâs REVOLT network and has spoken favorably of the mogul on his platform. Some fans believe that due to the nature of their connection, Budden takes a lighthanded approach when discussing Combs.

Cassieâs lawyers have been masterful in their reactions to the release of footage of Diddy beating the singer, and his ex-girlfriend, back in 2016. After Diddy dropped an apology on Sunday (May 19), the now happily married singerâs legal team issued a statement slamming the mogulâs already derided mea culpa.
Taking to Instagram, Diddy posted a video apology that was widely criticized as insincere and never mentioned Cassie by name. âItâs so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you gotta do that,â said Diddy. âI was f*cked up. I mean I hit rock bottom, but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable.â
He also added, âI went and I sought out professional help, going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. Iâm so sorry, but Iâm committed to be a better man each and every day.â
Cassieâs attorney wasnât feeling Diddyâs words.
âCombsâ most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt,â said Meredith Firetog, of Wigdor LLP, which represented Cassie Ventura in her settlement, in a statement shortly after Combs released his apology.
âWhen Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday,â continued Firetog.
The post that the attorney references is from late 2023, and is still up on Diddyâs Instagram account. âSickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday,â he wrote on the post, dated December 6, 2023. âLet me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.â
Well, that clearly is not the case.
Firetog added, âThat he was only compelled to âapologizeâ once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words.â
Cassieâs husband, Alex Fine, also brought the smoke. âMen who hit women arenât men. Men who enable it and protect those people arenât men. As men, violence against women shouldnât be inevitable. Check your brothers, your friends, and your family. Our daughters, sisters, mothers, and wives should feel protected and loved. Hold the women in your life with the upmost regard,â said Fine in an Instagram post.
Also, Diddyâs old stomping grounds at Revoltâhe resigned from his chairman position last yearâwashed its hands of him.

Sean âDiddyâ Combs is for all intents and purposes, cookedâbut it isnât going to stop him from trying to save his career. The Bad Boy mogul issued a statement apologizing for assaulting Cassie in 2016 (though he never mentions her name), after footage of the brutal beating in a hotel hallway was shared by CNN on Friday, May 17.
Diddy was seen dragging, punching and kicking his then-girlfriend Cassie at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles (now closed) for seemingly trying to leave. By now most are aware that Cassie sued Diddy in late 2023, accusing him of sex trafficking, amongst other heinous allegations, but the lawsuit was quickly settled a day later.
On late Sunday morning (May 19), with a caption of âIâm truly sorry,â Diddy issued a video apology on his @diddy Instagram account.
âItâs so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you gotta do that,â said Diddy. âI was f*cked up. I mean I hit rock bottom, but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable.â
He added, âI take full responsibility for my actions in that video. Iâm disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it, Iâm disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help, going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. Iâm so sorry, but Iâm committed to be a better man each and every day.â
Diddy concluded his statement by saying, âIâm so sorry, but Iâm committed to being a better man everyday. Iâm not asking for forgiveness, Iâm truly sorry.
It goes without saying that social media is also disgusted. Most, donât think the sincerity is there and theyâre noting the receipts that back their reluctance to buy what Diddy is selling.
For example, an initial statement where he denied everything back in December 2023, is still up.

Sean âDiddyâ Combs has a lot of explaining to do. In hotel surveillance footage obtained by CNN, a man who allegedly looks like Diddy is seen hitting, kicking and dragging who is reportedly Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway.
Trigger Warning.
According to CNN, the footage is from 2016. What is seen in the video reportedly lines up with what Cassie recounted in her initial lawsuit against Diddy in late 2023, where she accused him of years of domestic violence and sexual assault. Diddy infamously quickly settled the case a day after the lawsuit was filed.
Reports CNN:
The footage, compiled from multiple camera angles dated March 5, 2016, appears to show the rapper, producer and business mogul during an incident that, according to Venturaâs complaint, occurred at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. CNN verified the location based on publicly available photos of the former hotelâs interior.
In the video, Ventura exits a hotel room and walks to a bank of elevators. Combs, holding a towel around his waist, runs down a hall after Ventura. He grabs her by the back of the neck and throws her to the floor. Still holding his towel closed with one hand, he then turns to kick her, the video shows.
As Ventura is on the ground, Combs retrieves a purse and suitcase from the floor near the elevators. He turns around and kicks Ventura again as she lies motionless on the floor. About four seconds transpire between the two kicks, according to the video. He then briefly drags Ventura by her sweatshirt toward a room before walking away.
But the altercation doesnât stop there.
Ventura is then seen slowly standing up. She gathers items from the floor and moves to pick up a phone on the hallway wall near the elevators. Combs, still in a towel and socks, returns. A mirror directly across from the security camera shows Combs appearing to shove Ventura.
Seconds later, he sits down on a chair, grabs an object off a table and forcefully throws it toward Ventura. Combs is seen walking away, then turns toward Ventura once again when an elevator door opens and someone appears to exit.
The incident reportedly occurred at the since-shuttered InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles. Cassie has reportedly declined to comment about the release of the footage.
The reaction on social media has been swift, and the consensus seems to be that Diddy is a monster. See for yourself in the gallery.
This story is developing.Â

Itâs been weeks since Diddy was getting all the slander on the internet after authorities raided his property following all kinds of shocking accusations and though things have since died down on social media, the case continues to move forward.
According to People, the alleged drug mule that was employed by P. Diddy has cut a deal with the feds and will cooperate in the investigation in return for some leniency as he faces prison time for his alleged participation in Diddyâs drama. In return for his cooperation, 25-year-old Branden Paul will be entered into a drug diversion program, but more importantly, for him, will avoid jail time for his marijuana and cocaine possession arrest this past March.
Paulâs attorney, Brian Bieber told People that with his clientâs cooperation and the completion of the drug program, âthe case against him will be dismissed in its entirety.â
While that may seem like a slap on the wrist for someone who was transporting booger sugar for a multi-million dollar music mogul, this is apparently a standard offer for non-violent defendants with no priors.
Per People:
Paul had previously been named in a civil sexual assault lawsuit filed by Combsâ former producer and videographer Rodney âLil Rodâ Jones, in which Jones alleged Paul was Combsâ âmuleâ who âacquiresâ and âdistributesâ his âdrugs and guns.â
Despite the arrest, he did not appear to be connected to the âIâll Be Missing Youâ artist, 54.
Attorney Bieber said in a statement to PEOPLE on March 27, âWe do not plan on trying this case in the media â all issues will be dealt with in court.â
The Miami-Dade police department had no comment on the matter.
In April, Paul was charged with felony cocaine possession. However, according to court documents, Paulâs additional felony charge for marijuana-laced candy were dropped.
One has to wonder what kind of tea Paul is serving up to investigators to help himself get out of this jam and if Diddyâs worried about what could come from this.
Just a few days ago Diddy took to his Instagram page with a post that simply said âtime tells truth.â
Seems confident heâll eventually be cleared of any accusations. We wonder if heâs still as confident after learning about Brendan Paulâs plea deal.

Music producer Rodney âLil Rodâ Jones, one of numerous alleged victims who have accused Sean âDiddyâ Combs of acts of sexual violence and other abuses, has dropped multiple high-profile defendants from a lawsuit he filed against the Bad Boy mogul in February.
According to Hip Hop DX, the list of defendants in Jonesâ lawsuit initially included Universal Music Group and its chairman Sir Lucian Grainge, who the suit alleged âaided and abettedâ Diddy in his alleged sexual abuse. But those names have been withdrawn from the filing and the claims against them and against Motown Recordings have been dismissed with prejudice, meaning claims against them cannot be refiled.
Jonesâ legal representation was pretty vague on why Grainge and the two music companies were dropped from the suit, although the now-former defendants had all filed motions to have their cases dismissed.
âAll of the claims against Grainge, Motown and UMG Recordings (the âUMG Defendantsâ) in the [second amended complaint] are lacking in any legally cognizable basis,â the filing read. âEvery claim is premised on the untenable strict liability theory that when one enters into a commercial contract, the payor under that contract becomes liable for anything that the recipient of payment does with the payment.â Apparently, Jonesâ attorneys eventually agreed.
From Hip Hop DX:
Lil Rodâs attorney Tyrone Blackburn said in a sworn declaration filed in court: âBased on my examination of all of the papers submitted in support of both motions to dismiss, which addressed the issues I had, I have concluded that there is no legal basis for the claims and allegations that were made against the UMG Defendants.â
He added: âAs such, I have determined that the proper course of action is for all of the claims and all of the allegations to be withdrawn immediately.â
Itâs worth noting that UMG has also petitioned to be removed from a lawsuit filed by another Diddy accuser identified as Jane Doe, and that filing also appears to make the core argument that the company isnât responsible for anything Diddy did, if he did it.
âThe Complaintâs allegations, if true, are certainly disturbing,â the filing read. âPlaintiff makes no allegation supporting vicarious liability for battery or assault (nor could she).
âPlaintiffâs NIED [negligent infliction of emotional distress] claim also fails because she has not alleged any duty owed to her by UMGR, and nowhere in Plaintiffâs Complaint does she allege that UMGRâs conduct was extreme and outrageous, as she is required to do as a matter of legal sufficiency,â it continued.
As much as Diddy has been trying to play it cool online, there is no hiding the fact that he is drowning in scandals, legal woes and professional uncertainty, and one can imagine there will be more people close to him who will either need to jump ship or sink right along with him.

Diddy is fighting to keep his name clean. He has asked a judge to dismiss Jane Doeâs claims that he and two other men sexually assaulted her.
US Weekly is reporting that the esteemed record producer has filed a motion to get a 2023 lawsuit dismissed. On Friday, May 10, TMZ obtained the documents where Puffâs legal team call out that this is the victimâs âsecond attempt to state an entirely false and hideous claim against the Combs Defendants.â The paperwork states she missed her window of time to properly file the lawsuit as per the Adult Survivors Act. (The unidentified woman says that she was sex trafficked and gang raped back in 2008 when she was only 17-years-old.)
Additionally, Diddyâs lawyer mentions that lawsuit should be tossed out due to her inability to provide specifics. âPlaintiff cannot allege what day or time of year the alleged incident occurred, yet purports to miraculously recall the most prurient details with specificity. Accordingly, this case should be dismissed now, with prejudice, to protect the Combs Defendants from further reputational injury and before more party and judicial resources are squandered,â the filing read.
On Dec. 6, 2023 Diddy refuted these allegations via social media. âENOUGH IS ENOUGH. For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy,â he wrote on Instagram. âSickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.â
Former Bad Boy Entertainment executive Harve Pierre is also named in the lawsuit; he has also denied the allegations.

Sean âDiddyâ Combs on Friday (May 10) asked a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit alleging that he and two co-defendants raped a 17-year-old girl in a New York recording studio in 2003, saying it was a âfalse and hideous claimâ that was filed too late under the law.
The legal move is the latest piece of pushback from the 54-year-old hip-hop mogul and his legal team after he was subjected to several similar lawsuits and a subsequent criminal sex-trafficking investigation.
âMr. Combs and his companies categorically deny Plaintiffâs decades-old tale against them, which has caused incalculable damage to their reputations and business standing before any evidence has been presented,â says the filing, which also names Combs-owned corporations as defendants. âPlaintiff cannot allege what day or time of year the alleged incident occurred, but miraculously remembers other salacious details, despite her alleged incapacitated condition.â
Trending on Billboard
The lawsuit was filed in December and amended in March by the woman who now lives in Canada whose name wasnât disclosed in the court filing. She said she was in 11th grade at a high school in a Detroit suburb in 2003, when Harve Pierre, then the president of Combsâ Bad Boy Entertainment record label, flew her to New York on a private jet and took her to a recording studio, where she was given drugs and alcohol until she was incapable of consenting to sex. Then, the lawsuit said, Pierre, Combs and a man she didnât know took turns raping her.
The lawsuit included photographs of the woman sitting on Combsâ lap that she said were taken on the night in question.
The defense filing asks that the case be âdismissed now, with prejudiceâ â meaning it cannot be refiled â âto protect the Combs Defendants from further reputational injury and before more party and judicial resources are squandered.â
At this early stage in the lawsuit, the arguments are procedural rather than on the facts of the case.
Some of the lawsuits filed against Combs involve decades-old allegations and are among the more than 3,700 legal claims filed under New Yorkâs Adult Survivors Act, which temporarily suspended certain legal deadlines to give sexual assault victims a last opportunity to sue over abuse that happened years or even decades ago.
The new deadlines established by that law expired, but the suit Combs filed the motion against Friday was brought under a different law, New York Cityâs Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Law. That city law also allows accusers to file civil complaints involving sexual assault claims after the statute of limitations has run out.
But Combsâ motion argues that suit was filed too late, because the city law is preempted by the state law, whose provisions mean the lawsuit needed to be filed by August of 2021 to be timely.
âNew York state law trumps New York City law, without exception,â the filing says.
The amended version of the lawsuit filed in March sought to address some of these issues, but Combsâ attorneys argue that it didnât go far enough. The judge has ruled the woman will need to reveal her name if the lawsuit moves forward after this challenge.
The Associated Press does not typically name people who say they have been sexually abused, unless they come forward publicly, as some of Combsâ accusers have done.
Fridayâs defense filing also criticizes the suit for including âa bolded, legally irrelevant âtrigger warningâ calculated to focus attention on its salacious and depraved allegations.â
The public airing of allegations against Combs began with a November lawsuit by the singer Cassie, his former protege and girlfriend, containing allegations of beatings, rape and other abuse between 2005 and 2018. The suit, filed by Douglas Wigdor, the same attorney who filed the suit being challenged Friday, was settled the day after it was filed. Combs denied the allegations through his lawyer before the settlement.
More lawsuits against Combs were filed in the following months. Then on March 25, Homeland Security Investigations served search warrants on his homes in Los Angeles and Miami in a sex-trafficking investigation. His lawyer called it âa gross use of military-level force.â The investigation is continuing. Combs has not been charged.
Last month, Combs filed a motion to dismiss a suit filed by Joi Dickerson, who said she was a 19-year-old college student when Combs drugged her and sexually assaulted her.
Wigdor did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the new filing. He said in a statement in December that the âdepravity of these abhorrent acts has, not surprisingly, scarred our client for life.â

50 Cent is now suing his ex, Daphne Joy claiming that she defamed him with comments made in a post on social media.
According to reports, 50 Cent has filed a defamation lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend, Daphne Joy. In the documents of the filing, the rapper and entertainment mogul said that Joy âfalsely and publiclyâ accused him of ârape and physical abuseâ during their relationship. 50 Cent also claims that she made a âpurposeful attempt to, on information and belief, destroy his personal and business reputation, harm Jacksonâs commercial and business interests, negatively affect his custody case, and prevent him from seeing his minor son.â
50 Cent and Daphne Joy were together from 2011 to 2013, and their son Sire is now 12. The 48-year-old rapper referred to Daphne Joyâs Instagram post on March 28, where she scolded 50 Cent over his joking about her being mentioned in a lawsuit against Diddy as a âsex workerâ and said, âLetâs put the real focus on your true evil actions of raping me and physically abusing me.â 50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson, said the post has attained over 22,000 likes and threatened to harm his reputation and business. âThe Defamatory Post contains false and malicious statements of fact that expose Jackson to hatred, contempt, or aversion, or induce an evil or unsavory opinion of Jackson, in the minds of the public,â the court documents continue, referring to the postâs intent to âimpact the custody caseâ. 50 Cent is also seeking monetary damages of $1 million.
He also attached a letter that was previously sent on April 2 to Daphne Joy, whose last name is Narvaez, demanding she remove the post. He claims that in response, her lawyers submitted a request from Daphne Joy for millions of dollars in addition to dropping his petition for sole custody of their son, Sire. The documents call the move âclearly extortive.â. Neither party has responded to press inquiries about the lawsuit.
